Welcome to my brutally honest ClickFunnels vs InfusionSoft (Keap) comparison.
Early Warning: If you think purchasing either of these software tools will magically generate a ton of leads and cash in your business, I’m going to have to disappoint you.
While they are both excellent digital marketing platforms, you REALLY need to choose the right one for your business to get any type of results from them. So, let’s take a look at which software is best suited for your business.
Both ClickFunnels and Keap have a few similar tools, but their core offering is different.
ClickFunnels vs InfusionSoft (Keap) – TL;DR Overview
Here are the key differences between ClickFunnels and InfusionSoft a.k.a Keap:
- ClickFunnels is much easier to use than InfusionSoft, and is also more beginner-friendly
- ClickFunnels includes a membership site builder, whereas InfusionSoft doesn’t
- ClickFunnels lets you host live webinars, whereas InfusionSoft doesn’t
- InfusionSoft and ClickFunnels have a similar price range, but ClickFunnels does not limit you on contacts
- ClickFunnels has better cart functions (although these are coming to InfusionSoft’s Max Plan soon)
- InfusionSoft is pretty much a dedicated CRM, while ClickFunnels is focused on sales funnels
- InfusionSoft has invoicing and appointment capabilities – ClickFunnels doesn’t
- InfusionSoft and ClickFunnels both have sales and marketing email automation, but Infusionsoft’s is more advanced
- Both software tools have a free trial
While both ClickFunnels and InfusionSoft are great tools, our top pick in this match up is ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels offers all the core features that InfusionSoft has, plus it also has other features like affiliate management, hosted webinars, and advanced marketing training courses. InfusionSoft has some good conversion features, but in our opinion they don't compare to the conversion capabilities of a funnel built with ClickFunnels.

What Is ClickFunnels & Who Is It For
ClickFunnels is that popular kid in high school, which everyone seems to love.
It has a whopping 120,000+ paying subscribers, which is insane if you considering it’s a B2B product.
ClickFunnels has packed all of the most essential tools that small businesses need under one umbrella for a reasonable price. These features include:
- Sales funnel and landing page builder
- Membership site builder
- Live webinars
- Affiliate management
- Email marketing
And check this out: It does all of this while being SUPER User-friendly, thanks to its drag and drop landing page builder. If you can use the internet, you’ll be able to use this thing. It is that simple.
Since Russell Brunson founded the company in 2014, ClickFunnels has become much more than just a business software tool. It’s a culture.
While it does have kind of a creepy cult-like movement feel to it, due to the huge, fanatical user base, it does actually have a pretty cool vide.
The community is actually very helpful and supportive of its fellow members, many of which are all too happy to help each other out.
ClickFunnels also has various other products tailored to the same market, under the same brand, so they do actually have quite a wide offering.
As you may have guessed by the features, ClickFunnels is very popular with a wide variety of people across different sized businesses.
However, the majority of users do fit into the following categories based on my research:
- Info-product vendors
- Service businesses (Consultants, agencies, etc.)
- Personal Brands
- Affiliate marketers
- Ecommerce store owners
- Brick and mortar businesses

What Is InfusionSoft (Keap) & Who Is It For
InfusionSoft, also known now as Keap since they had a name change a few years ago, was one of the first BIG all-in-one CRMs on the market.
But one area where it has always lacked a little is usability.
One reason for this is because Infusionsoft is almost like a dinosaur in the game compared to ClickFunnels, as it was founded in 2001.
Despite this drawback, it has always performed in terms of features and capabilities, especially in the CRM and marketing automation department.
In fact, for quite a long time, it was pretty much the only all-in-one marketing platform on the market.
But don’t be fooled: InfusionSoft isn’t only still in this market because it’s been around for a long time. Their team has always been actively developing and improving the software, which is why it’s still relevant today.
They have recently done this by updating their software, applying some user interface updates to the landing page builder and other features, and rebranding their product, which is now officially called Keap.
ClickFunnels Pros & Cons
Continuing on with my ClickFunnels vs InfusionSoft review, let’s now take a look at the pros and cons of each software.
- All in one tool
- Easy To Use
- Good sales funnel flow
- Lots of templates
- Good analytics
- A/B Split Testing
- 14-day free trial
- Bit of a learning curve
- Slower loading pages
- No blogging feature
- Quite Pricey
InfusionSoft (Keap) Pros & Cons
Now let’s see the high-level pros and cons of this landing page builder compared to ClickFunnels.
- Outstanding marketing automation
- Infusionsoft has a great CRM
- The visual campaign builder is pretty sweet
- The support is quite good
- It has fewer features than ClickFunnels
- Quite costly when you consider the number of features, primarily because of the annoying limits
- It's not as easy-to-use as other software pieces
ClickFunnels Features
As already mentioned, ClickFunnels has quite a large list of features. But I wanted to walk you through all of them individually to give you a better understanding of your business actually needs them.
After all, there’s no point paying for something if you’re not gonna use it.
ClickFunnels Core Offering: Sales Funnels
ClickFunnels’ core offering is the drag-and-drop sales funnel and landing page builder.
What makes this product so unique compared to other sales funnel software is the vast range of funnel templates that you get for each step of any funnel you could possibly think of, and its ease of use.
So, you can access done for you templates for your:
- Sign up and opt-in pages
- Main sales pages
- Landing pages
- Up-sell and down-sell pages
- Webinar registration pages
- Checkout pages
- Shopping cart pages
- thank you pages
- And many others
Besides the range of possible templates for each funnel step listed above, ClickFunnels also has complete landing pages and sales funnels already set up for you.
Most of these funnel steps have a video from Russell Brunson (ClickFunnels CEO and Founder) explaining how to use them more effectively to improve your conversion rates.
This is something that I think is great for beginners as well as the average business owner because it helps you learn how to use these features much more quickly.
Inside your member’s dashboard you will also find complete landing pages sales funnels for:
- E-commerce
- Drop shipping
- Affiliate marketing
- Network Marketing
- Various brick and mortar businesses
- Info product sales funnels
- Book funnels
- Lead get funnels
- 2-step carts with upsells
- Webinar funnels
- Tripwire funnels with up-sells
- And so much more
The easy-to-use drag and drop page editor allows you to build the perfect sales funnel that guides your customers from the point of just finding out about who you are, all the way to becoming a loyal, happy customer.
ClickFunnels does all of this while being as user-friendly as a modern video game like Minecraft… So you really won’t need any technical skills to use it. You could have an entire sales funnel up in just 20-30 minutes.
ClickFunnels Marketplace
If you can’t find a landing page, sales funnel, or membership site funnel inside of your dashboard, then you can also visit the ClickFunnels marketplace for more templates.
Here you can find a huge range of funnels that have already been created for you by other members. Some funnels on the marketplace are free, while others come at a one-time price.
You can even find someone on the marketplace who will build you a custom sales funnel if that’s what you need.
ClickFunnels Shopping Carts
This online marketing software tool also lets you create shopping carts for your funnels.
And it has some quite advanced features such as:
- Order bumps
- One-click up-sells and down-sells
- 2-step carts
These features will help you generate more sales by enabling you to present more offers to your customers.
So, ultimately, they’ll help you make more money from the same amount of traffic.
ClickFunnels Membership Sites
With ClickFunnels’ membership sites, you’ll be able to host premium content behind a password-protected login page.
You can choose to offer a paid course, or a free one – depending on how you want to use it in your online business.
Some of the membership site features include:
- Multiple access levels
- Drip feed content
- Locked posts
- Monthly, quarterly or yearly billing
Strictly speaking, the membership site feature is part of the funnel builder. The membership sites come as part of a sales funnel, which I think is pretty useful.
Inside your account, you will find membership funnels already set up for you to use. Simply customize your landing page, and then start adding your content to the member’s area pages.
This is a great feature to have included with your account. A dedicated membership site service like Kajabi, on the other hand, would cost you upwards of $149 per month. Therefore, I think this is worth mentioning – as ClickFunnels has this built-in.
What I love especially about this is how easy it is to connect to your sales funnel and email marketing automation, since these features are also inside of ClickFunnels. It’s seamless, easy, and actually quite pleasant to work with.
However, the main drawback for me here is that there is no video hosting included. This means that you will need to pay a third-party video hosting provider like Wistea to host your videos, and then embed them into your ClickFunnels membership site.
Yeah, maybe I’m asking a bit too much here, but it would be nice.
ClickFunnels Webinar Funnels
This online marketing tool also allows you to build webinar sales funnels that help you to:
- Engage your audience
- Educate your audience about your products
- Sell your products (especially high-ticket offers)
The only downside is that this feature only lets you host live webinars – not pre-recorded (evergreen) webinars. However, it’s not the end of the world because ClickFunnels has many native integrations.
This means that you can easily integrate your ClickFunnels account with a third-party tool to solve this issue if this is important to you.
ClickFunnels Email Marketing Automation – Follow Up Funnels
Next, we have ClickFunnels’ follow-up funnels, which is their email marketing automation app.
This email marketing feature allows you to do all of the standard things you would expect from an autoresponder:
Broadcasts: These are your standard newsletters that come with templates you can use.
Follow-up funnels: These are the automation sequences (a.k.a autoresponder) that you will use to automatically follow up with your subscribers and customers.
Again, it performs very similarly to a dedicated platform.
However, it could improve tagging and behavioral automation rules. Compared to some dedicated platforms like GetResponse, it just has a few fewer rules that you can pick from.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Management
Another cool feature that ClickFunnels has is affiliate management.
You’ll be able to recruit and manage your affiliates directly from your ClickFunnels account.
The only thing is that this tool is fairly basic in terms of reporting, and there is also no marketplace feature. However, it does the job. You can add assets for your affiliates to use, track their stats and offer incentives for more sales.
What ClickFunnels Has That InfusionSoft (Keap) Doesn’t
To make things easier for you, I wanted to dive into what ClickFunnels has that Infusionsoft doesn’t. Later on, we’ll do this vice versa too.
Since both ClickFunnels and InfusionSoft have some similar, but also very different features, I thought this would make it easier for you to see the differences between them.
Membership Site Platform
ClickFunnels having this membership site funnel feature is a massive advantage if you’re selling courses. However, with InfusionSoft, you will need an integration, which makes things more confusing and more costly.
More Funnel Step Templates
ClickFunnels has more templates for the individual funnel steps like:
- 2-step order carts
- Upsell pages
- Thank you pages
- Etc.
This isn’t a surprise, as it’s what makes ClickFunnels so unique. It pretty much lets you build ANY type of funnel you want, has all the templates you need – and is so freakin easy to do.
Marketplace
Besides the funnel step templates, ClickFunnels also has an exclusive marketplace for your whole funnel templates.
This is something that InfusionSoft doesn’t have and a unique opportunity that I like about ClickFunnels because:
- You may need a unique template for your business and can find an expert to build one.
- If you become an expert yourself, you can sell funnel templates here and create another source of revenue.
Webinars
Finally, if you wanted to use Webinars to sell your products, ClickFunnels could be the better option. While it does only let you host live webinars, InfusionSoft doesn’t have this feature at all.
ClickFunnels has several integrations for pre-recorded (evergreen) webinars.
Easier To Use
ClickFunnels is known for being easy to use. InfusionSoft has the opposite reputation. And that’s for a good reason, generally speaking, you’ll find it much easier to use ClickFunnels – and will get your campaigns up much quicker.
InfusionSoft (Keap) Features
ClickFunnels really does have a lot of features, as we saw above. Now, continuing on with my ClickFunnels vs InfusionSoft review, let’s look at how InfusionSoft compares to the leading sales funnel builder.
InfusionSoft/Keap Core Feature: CRM & Marketing Automation
InfusionSoft’s core feature is its Customer-relationship-management tool (CRM). However, it does have a lot more to offer than just this.
The CRM allows you to pull up any customers’ information and get all the interaction history in seconds. ClickFunnels actually has something similar in its dashboard, but we’ll look at that a little later.
Where InfusionSoft outperforms most other platforms in the CRM section:
- Being able to set and manage tasks
- Being able to score customers based on your criteria automatically
- Creating and managing invoices directly inside of the CRM
Additionally, InfusionSoft’s special is that it has all these other features built-in combined with marketing automation.
So, if the lead takes (or doesn’t) a certain action – InfusionSoft can quickly communicate this with the other features built inside the platform.
Email Marketing Automation
InfusionSoft’s email marketing automation feature is slightly different from ClickFunnels’ solution. However, I wouldn’t say necessarily better, as it depends on what you’re looking for.
While InfusionSoft has more triggers for behavioral automation, ClickFunnels has some really unique funnel triggers.
InfusionSoft also, as you would probably expect, has a library of beautiful email templates that are easy to edit.
Visual Campaign Builder
Here’s something that makes InfusionSoft unique: The visual campaign builder.
This feature makes it a lot easier to manage campaigns, as you don’t have to switch between features to build your campaign – you can manage the entire process from this visual campaign builder. This includes;
- Your landing page templates
- Your email marketing automation
- Your shopping carts
- Your affiliate management
- Basically everything
Landing Page Builder + Templates
InfusionSoft also comes with an outstanding landing page builder and a range of templates. Editing them is also drag and drop, so it is similar to ClickFunnels’ landing page builder.
As mentioned earlier, ClickFunnels has many templates for the individual funnel steps, which InfusionSoft doesn’t.
InfusionSoft’s tool is a little more basic, with the main focus being on opt-in and lead gen pages. However, you can add a cart, which we’ll look at in a moment.
Referral (Affiliate) Management
InfusionSoft also has an affiliate management tool.
It’s slightly more advanced than the one ClickFunnels has, as you can create 2-level affiliate programs:
- Level 1: For referring a sale/customer
- Level 2: For referring another affiliate
On the whole, though, you will get a very similar affiliate management tool from both the platforms that do the job. To be fair, I think most business owners will be relieved that they have this built-in because it makes it SOOO much easier to promote your products.
Cart, Invoices & Appointments
Next is the payment part of InfusionSoft:
- Carts
- Invoices
- Appointments
The cart creation is actually somewhat similar to ClickFunnels.
And the invoices and appointments are cool to have in there, especially next to all the marketing automation. So, for example, you can automatically send an invoice after booking an appointment or taking another action.
This makes it easier for you to manage your business’ finances and responsibilities.
What InfusionSoft (Keap) Has That ClickFunnels Doesn’t
Now I will break down and highlight the tools that InfusionSoft has that ClickFunnels does not, since ClickFunnels and InfusionSoft have some similar, but also some very different features.
CRM & Slightly Better Marketing Automation
Thanks to the CRM allowing you to create tasks, and the additional email marketing triggers, InfusionSoft wins in the email marketing automation department.
However, I don’t think it’s a massive difference between them, and I would imagine most business owners would be more than satisfied with what ClickFunnels offers here.
That being said, InfusionSoft does take this point.
Visual Campaign Builder
The visual campaign builder is pretty cool, as it makes things a little easier. If you would want this with ClickFunnels, you could integrate with Funnelytics, which has a free plan and pretty much does the same thing.
Invoices and Appointments
Finally, InfusionSoft has the invoices and appointments tools built in. Again, this isn’t a huge deal because there are endless low-cost invoice services, and you can even send them with Paypal. Plus, for the appointments, you can also use an affordable, industry-standard tool like Calendly.
InfusionSoft vs ClickFunnels Pricing
Now that we have looked at the value both platforms provide let’s look at their costs.
I noticed straight away that ClickFunnels doesn’t give you any limits in contacts, whereas InfusionSoft.
ClickFunnels Cost
Let’s look at ClickFunnels’ pricing first. For more detail, please see my ClickFunnels pricing guide.
ClickFunnels Starter ($97 per month)
Usage limits:
- 20 sales funnels
- 100 pages
- 1 sub-user
- 3 payment gateways
- 3 domains
What you DON’T get:
- Affiliate management
- Follow-up Funnels
- Funnel Hack-A-Thon
- Some FunnelFlix Videos
- Priority Supports
ClickFunnels Platinum ($297 per month)
Usage limits:
- Unlimited funnels and pages
- 3 sub-users
- 9 payment gateways
- 9 domains
This plan comes with all features. For a deep-dive on this plan, see my ClickFunnels Platinum review.
ClickFunnels Two Comma Club X ($1,497 per month)
- Unlimited funnels and pages
- 10 sub-users
- 27 payment gateways
- 27 domains
- Features: All + Hours of additional FunnelFlix training
InfusionSoft (Keap) Cost
InfusionSoft’s pricing mainly depends on how many contacts you have – which is a little annoying because it often forces you to upgrade. But let’s take a look.
The plans below assume 500 contacts – for full pricing, please check out the official page (INSERT AFF LINK)
Lite $79 per month
Features included:
- Contact management
- Tagging
- Saved search, filters, and lists
- Tasks
- Forms
- B2b management
- Quotes
- Appointments
- Mobile app
- SMS messages
- Email marketing
- email sync
- Gmail
- Outlook
- Automated text messaging
- One-time payments
- Easy automation
- Reminders
- Internal forms
- Limited integrations
- Default user roles
Pro $159 per month
Everything in Lite PLUS:
- Landing pages
- Sales Pipeline
- Recurring Payments
- Subscription Management
- Checkout forms
- A/B email testing
- Automated text messaging
- Text Messaging broadcasts
- Recurring payments
- Checkout forms
Max $199 Per Month
Everything in Pro Plus:
- Lead scoring
- Discount codes
- Sales Funnel
- One-click Up-sell and Cross-sell (Coming soon)
- Shopify integration
- Analytics
And keep in mind this is for 500 contacts only. Now on the higher plans especially, I would expect most businesses to grow towards 10,000 subscribers quickly, which will get very costly with InfusionSoft.
To put it into perspective, for 25,000 subscribers on InfusionSoft, you’ll be looking at $499 per month… And it will get even more expensive above that. So, therefore, in terms of pricing, I would say ClickFunnels has the advantage.
Integrations
Both ClickFunnels and InfusionSoft have a good amount of integrations. I grabbed both integration lists for you so you can see them side by side here in this ClickFunnels vs InfusionSoft review.
Keep in mind these are just the native integrations. You can get more through Zapier if you have a Zapier account.

ClickFunnels vs Keap: My Final Thoughts
As you have seen throughout this ClickFunnels vs InfusionSoft a.k.a Keap comparison, they’re both incredible all-in-one platforms. But, overall, I think that ClickFunnels has the advantage because the additional features it has will help the average business owner make more sales.
Plus, it’s also a lot easier to use.
However, if you’re someone who wants to dive deep into the marketing automation that InfusionSoft has to offer, then it’s worth a try.
