How To Make Money With ClickBank In 2021

ClickBank and income reports

If you’re interested in affiliate marketing and are wondering how to make money with ClickBank then the chances are you may have already tried to promote some offers on the platform but have not had much success.

ClickBank is often the first place newbies go when they begin affiliate marketing. However, with little or no online marketing skills it can be very difficult to make money with the offers.

They then take to the forums to complain that it’s not possible to make money on ClickBank as an affiliate.

The real problem is they’re lacking the know-how to bring in the bucks.

If this is you then don’t worry, you’re not alone. I was also once in your shoes, but I figured it out.

While it’s not my main online income stream anymore, I still promote ClickBank offers today and earn an average of $100 – $200 per day on this platform.

In this post, I will tell you exactly what works when it comes to making money with this platform. I explain how to choose the right offers, how to bring the traffic and the best ways to get them to convert into sales.

What Is ClickBank

ClickBank is primarily a digital marketplace for affiliates and product owners, also known as vendors. However, since around 2018 ClickBank now also offers a range of physical products.

In a nutshell, they provide a platform for product owners to house their products where they can be easily found by affiliate marketers who may want to promote them.

When you first sign up for an account you will be asked to either register as an affiliate or as a vendor.

While it is free to register as an affiliate, there is a charge for product owners when they create an account.

This article will focus on how to make money with ClickBank as an affiliate as this is by far the easier route to take.

In many cases, the product owners you find on ClickBank first started making money online as an affiliate and then moved into product creation later.

Most commonly, you can find products to promote such as eBooks, video courses, audio downloads, and software. However, you can also find some physical products like supplements and cosmetics.

ClickBank Overview

  • A Product Marketplace For Affiliates
  • An E-Commerce Platform For Information Product Owners
  • Physical products such as supplements, books, DVD’s, cosmetics, food products, and fitness equipment
  • Offers digital products such as eBooks, video courses, audio downloads and software

Is ClickBank Trusted

Yes, ClickBank is one of the longest established online marketplaces with hundreds of thousands of affiliates using it.

While you can promote a wide range of products through this platform, they are primarily known for their huge range of educational products across a large number of niches.

To give you an idea of the size of the company, ClickBank has a yearly sales revenue close to a quarter-billion dollars. According to BusinessWire, more than 30,000 ClickBank transactions are created on a daily basis across more than 190 countries.

It’s fair to say they’re a pretty big player in the industry.

Pros & Cons of ClickBank

Personally, I really like ClickBank. They were the first affiliate network I ever signed up with back in 2012 and they’re still one of my primary revenue sources today.

As an affiliate, it’s super simple to get started, you can sign up quickly and start promoting offers straight away and you don’t need approval to promote the vast majority of products, unlike many other networks.

Here is my ClickBank pros and cons list:

ClickBank Pros

  • High commissions, sometimes above 75%, some as high as 90%
  • Some offers have recurring payments
  • Some products also allow you to make money on upsells
  • Fast payouts to affiliates – they pay out once per week (and after 2 weeks)
  • Easy to use and newbie friendly
  • Wide range of niches
  • Wide range of products
  • You can sell to people in most countries around the world

ClickBank Cons

  • Very high competition on popular products
  • A lot of crappy products to sift through to find the good ones

How Much Money Can You Make With ClickBank?

The amount of money you can make depends on things like your experience, skill level as a marketer, which products you choose and how you promote them. Some people only make a few sales here and there, while others make hundreds of dollars per day.

It is absolutely possible to make $200+ per day as an affiliate with the ClickBank platform. I know from personal experience. I have also had the occasional day where I’ve made over $500 on this platform. There are also people out there who make far more money with ClickBank than I do.

Please bear in mind that it is not reasonable to expect this level of income from ClickBank straight away if you are a newbie. It will take you some time to learn what offers to convert the best in your niche and how to promote them.

How To Make Money With ClickBank – My $200 Per Day Model

When promoting any affiliate offer, it all boils down to three main parts:

  1. Product
  2. Traffic
  3. Conversion

Each one of these parts is a skill that you will need to learn.

The first skill is learning to recognize good products and how to choose ones that are right for your audience. This is an easy skill to master, by far the easiest of the three parts.

I will go into detail on how you can master this skill in the next section below.

The second part is the traffic. This is arguably the most important job of an affiliate.

Why is it most important?

Because the product vendor will have done a considerable amount of work (and also likely spent a lot of money) making sure their products convert well. All you need to do is get the right eyeballs to see the product.

That’s not to say affiliate marketers do not need to understand conversion, which brings me to the third part.

Some of the most effective ways to promote affiliate products are by using pre-sell pages, bridge pages, and funnels, which I will go into detail later in this article.

On these pages, it’s your job to warm up your audience and create enough curiosity, intrigue or desire to click on your affiliate links. The better you are at this part the more products you will sell.

How To Choose Good Products On ClickBank

One of the most important pieces of the puzzle to get right is choosing good products to promote.

While there are a lot of great products in the marketplace, there are also a lot of crap ones too.

If you choose the wrong product for your target audience or one that just doesn’t convert well then you will not make much money.

When scouring the marketplace for a product you want to sell, you first need to know what the different ClickBank metrics are. Don’t worry, they’re pretty simple to understand and there are only a few of them. Take a look at the box below.

ClickBank Metrics

  • Initial $/sale: The average commission per sale
  • Av %/sale: The average percentage the affiliate makes per sale
  • Grav: Stands for “Gravity” – represents the number of affiliates who successfully sold the product over the last 12 weeks
  • Avg Rebill Total: Products that have a monthly subscription and offer a rebill to the referring affiliate will show the rebill amount here in USD
  • Av %/Rebill: The percentage of the rebill paid to the affiliate

Product Research

In my opinion, besides using the above metrics to choose your products, it is also important to learn to recognize what kind of products will sell well and why. This is largely based on the product’s landing page.

Here’s a method you can use to learn to recognize the best offers.

  1. To start with, go onto the ClickBank marketplace and click the ‘advanced search’ button.
ClickBank marketplace - product research

2. Then, in the Gravity field, enter ‘50’ and click ‘search’.

ClickBank marketplace options with gravity score

This will show you all products on the marketplace regardless of niche with a gravity score higher than 50.

Now, I am not telling you to only promote products with a gravity higher than 50, that would be dumb.

While products with a high gravity may convert well, they will also be very competitive so choosing them will depend on your skill level and also whether on not you already have traffic for the niche.

This step is ONLY a way for you to learn what a high converting product’s sales page looks like, not the process of choosing your product. Bear with me…

When you do this search, you will get a list that looks something like this.

ClickBank marketplace results

Notice the high gravity in the screenshot above. Since these products have high gravity and, therefore, have a high number of regular sales, they will likely have very high converting sales pages.

Yes, there are products on the marketplace that convert great with a much lower gravity score. However, for this exercise we’re just trying to isolate a few products to take a look at that will have a high chance of having professional sales copy that converts at a high rate. Then, you can study them so you can learn to recognize what works.

Next:

  1. Spend some time looking at a number of different sales pages, watch the videos, and read the content to see what they have in common. Don’t worry, you won’t need to do this every time you pick a product. This is only to help you learn to recognize a good sales page when you see one.
  2. Note the following:
  • Is the sales page a video sales letter (VSL) or a long-form sales letter in written format? (Both work, but in my experience, VSL seems to convert better, although this can also vary from niche to niche)
  • Does the sales page look professional?
  • Does the sales page look cheap or dated?
  • Does the sales page have a catchy or emotive headline?
  • Does the page have clear buy now or add to cart buttons? (bear in mind, some VSL’s use button delays, which means the button will only appear once the person gets to a certain point in the video)
  • Does the page have an emotive call to action?
  • Does the sales content draw you in by stimulating curiosity, intrigue, or even fear?
  • Does the video or written content aim to sympathize with the potential customer’s problem?
  • Is the page over-salesy?

Doing this will help you to become good at recognizing products that have the potential to sell well, but do not necessarily have very high competition.

Two other things to look for in a good product:

  • Customer testimonials – This offers social proof and helps to increase conversions
  • A good affiliate resources area – The serious product vendors will also provide resources for their affiliates, such as banners, content ideas, email templates (known as swipe files), done for you ads, and a number of different landing pages you can send your traffic to. A good resource area like this shows that the company cares about its affiliates, will likely have good support in place and also likely be around long-term

One of the most popular ways to promote ClickBank products is to write a review on it for your blog or create a review video for your YouTube channel.

It’s always worth reaching out to the product owner to ask for a “review copy” as many of them will be willing to give you access for free if you can convince them you’re gonna be spending considerable time promoting them.

While some vendors will say no, in my experience most say yes. After all, you don’t have anything to lose by asking. Be professional, courteous, and send the email from a domain level email (ie yourname@yourdomain .com, not from a Gmail or Hotmail account) to give yourself the best chance of getting a “yes” from them.

How To Choose A Niche

Once you’ve got a clear idea of what a high-converting landing page looks like, you need to think about what niche you want to work in.

Many people jump into a niche purely out of passion. While there are benefits to choosing a niche that you are passionate about, it’s not the only thing you should consider.

For example, you may be super-passionate about growing daffodils, but if there are not many products for you to work with and if there’s not a huge demand for something like a daffodil growing eBook, then you’re probably not going to do very well.

Here are the things to consider when choosing a niche:

  • Are you passionate or at least, have an interest in it? – Being interested in the subject will help you to keep going when things get tough
  • Is there a hungry buying audience? – If people are already spending money in this niche then it’s a great sign
  • Does the niche have a capable buying audience? – A niche can have a lot of interest, but not enough that a person would part with money to learn more about it. Other niches may have an audience, but the audience is not capable to buy. An example of this is a product that is aimed at kids young enough not to have a credit card and would, therefore, need to ask their parents before they buy something. While kids can be very persuasive when asking their parents to buy them something, it puts another obstacle between you and getting paid.

I also recommend choosing an evergreen niche, that way your business will always be relevant and have people who are interested in what you’re selling.

Different Ways To Promote ClickBank Offers

There are a number of ways people try to promote ClickBank offers, some are more effective than others.

Banners

Good affiliate programs will provide you with banners you can put on your site. When clicked, they will take the visitor to the sales page.

However, banners do not convert very well. If this is all you are doing then you will likely not make much money promoting the offer unless you have a very high amount of relevant traffic.

Having said this, they’re still worth using to bump up your sales and dress up your blog.

Contextual Links

These are links within the body of the content. While I have had good success linking directly to an affiliate offer directly from content, this method is not as effective as it used to be and is also kind of a lazy way to promote your offers.

picture of a contextual link

Bridge Page Or Pre-Sell Page

This method is far more effective than linking directly to an offer via the body of the content.

In this method, you create your own pre-sell page or bridge page to pre-sell the product before you send the person to the offer.

This helps to warm them up and prepare them for what they will find on the product sales page.

A great way to increase your conversion rate is to offer your visitors bonuses when they buy a product through your link.

You can offer things like an eBook, a mini video course you created or even a piece of software you own, for example, to entice them to buy through your link.

To make your pre-sell or bridge pages effective you will need to learn at least the basics of copywriting in order to increase your conversion rate. A great resource I recommend for beginners is the Copywriting Secrets book.

Product Reviews

Product reviews are great when targeting product review type keywords. However, in many niches, these product review keywords are often very competitive.

Basically, you write a review of the product or create a video talking about the benefits and features, give your opinion on it and then link to the product.

Send People To a Own Funnel

This is definitely one of the most effective methods for promoting affiliate offers. There are a number of different ways to use a funnel, but here is a simple and very effective method you can use:

Step 1: Find, buy or create a lead magnet relevant to your niche that you can give away as a free gift in exchange for someone’s email address.

Step 2: Once they click the button to opt-in, immediately send them to a second page in your funnel where you offer them either;

– a free product that leads to a paid offer later
– a very low no-brainer offer
– a free webinar that sells a product at the end, which you make a commission on

Step 3: Once they opt-in on the first step of the funnel, they join your mailing list where you can then build a relationship with them by offering value. You can then promote relevant offers to them and they will be more likely to buy since they know, like and trust you and feel that you offer them a lot of value.

There are many different tools you can use to create your funnel, but a few good options are ThriveLeads, ClickFunnels and CartFlows.

I have used both tools in my business and they work really well. If you are using WordPress then ThriveLeads may be the better choice for you as it integrates easily with WordPress. If you are using ClickFunnels then all you need to do is link to your funnel from your blog.

How To Drive Traffic To Your Offers

Once you have chosen your product and set up your funnel you need to have at least one way, but preferably several ways to drive traffic (visitors) to your opt-in funnel.

It’s advisable not to rely on just one traffic source. If something happens to that source of visitors then you’ll have big issues.

This happened to me in the early days. I was relying too heavily on SEO traffic. It was working really well for me, but then Google had an algorithm update and I lost a large chunk of my traffic overnight.

This can happen to any of the traffic channels you use. YouTube can decide one day they don’t like your channel and shut you down. Pinterest, Instagram or any other social media platform you’re using can change their terms of service. PPC ads can become too expensive to bring a decent ROI.

I don’t say this to scare you, but to get the point across why it’s important to diversify your traffic sources. However, in the beginning, it is wise to establish one traffic source first to a good level before building new ones.

Below are some of the most commonly used traffic sources.

Blogging (SEO)

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It is the process of optimizing your website to rank high in the search engines. Most people focus on ranking in Google because Google accounts for over 70% of all search traffic on the internet.

Although it can take some time, usually months before you get much traffic through Google, once you do, SEO traffic is fairly passive and low maintenance.

Once your site has a high amount of traffic in your niche, new articles can start to rank fairly quickly and with less effort.

It takes quite a lot of work to rank number one for medium and high competition keywords. A great strategy to get started is to target long-tail keywords with low competition in your niche.

PPC

Paying for pay-per-click ads on places like Google or Bing can get very expensive. However, one of the main advantages is you can get traffic much more quickly.

PPC is not recommended for beginners. There’s a learning curve with PPC and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can soon burn through a lot of money with little to no return.

It is definitely a skill worth learning, but I would recommend establishing one or two free traffic streams first and get some sales coming in so you have some cash to invest in your ads.

YouTube

YouTube is another really popular traffic source. Many people think of YouTube as a social media platform, but it is actually a search engine. Not only that, it is the second-largest search engine in the world, after Google.

Using YouTube is a great way to promote affiliate offers. Most commonly, people create “how-to” or “review” videos and then direct the viewer to click the link below the video (their affiliate link) to check out the product, find out more or to opt-in for their free lead magnet.

Pinterest

I’m not a huge fan of social media myself, but as far as it goes, I really like Pinterest for affiliate marketing. The reason is that the Pinterest algorithm acts in a similar way to search engines. By creating Pins, you can send people directly to your blog posts, landing pages, and funnels.

Pinterest has a mostly female user base, so if your audience is primarily women and also has a strong visual aspect to it then it can do very well here.

Don’t be put off though if your niche demographic is mostly men. Pinterest is a rapidly growing platform and around 40% of new accounts are created by men so this could all change over the coming years.

Instagram

Instagram is fast becoming one of the most popular social media channels, second to Facebook.

Like Pinterest, if your niche has a strong visual appeal, for example, you’re in the fitness or cosmetic niche then Instagram is definitely a traffic source you will want to tap into.

Many people believe that Instagram will be more popular than Facebook in a few year’s time. It is especially popular with the millennial generation.

Facebook

Still the most popular social media channel with around 2.45 billion monthly users. Facebook has all types of people of all ages from all walks of life.

Unfortunately, the Facebook Fan Pages are not as effective as they once were a few years ago since they made some changes to their algorithm. However, currently, Facebook is massively favoring Facebook Groups and many marketers and business owners are having great success building an audience on this platform through both free and paid groups.

Social media is an excellent way to quickly tap into good sources of traffic. However, what I don’t like about this method is that it’s not very passive and requires constant engagement from you in order to maintain the interest of your audience. The alternative is to pay someone to manage your social media channels for you to free up your time.

Facebook ads are also very popular, but they are fast becoming expensive to the point where your ROI can be reduced considerably.

If you’re planning to do Facebook ads then be aware it is a very different traffic source than some of the other methods above.

Facebook ads use “interruption marketing.” This is basically when a person is not necessarily in a buying mode (they likely did not go to Facebook to look to buy something), but you interrupt what they are doing online to show them your ad. YouTube ads are another example of this.

While these types of ads do, of course, work, I’m sure you, like me, would agree they can also get very annoying.

Compare this to “search intent marketing.”

This is when someone is actively looking for your product. The person goes to a search engine (or a platform that works like a search engine), like Google, Bing or YouTube and they search for what they are looking for.

If you can get in front of these people you will generally have a higher chance of getting the person to check out your offer and also less risk of pissing them off in the process.

  • Choose a niche
  • Choose a product
  • Create an opt-in funnel
  • Send traffic to your opt-in funnel
  • Promote products on the backend via email

Making Money With ClickBank – Final Thoughts

ClickBank is a great place to get started with affiliate marketing. It’s also popular with veterans as it has such a huge range of products, high commission percentage levels and they pay their affiliates quickly.

It’s absolutely possible to build a good income using ClickBank. However, it’s very important to choose the right products to promote and have a good strategy in order to be successful.

During each interview, the entrepreneurs share the exact strategy they would use and show you the blueprint for the sales funnel they would set up to make it happen. That’s pretty awesome!

How Much Does The One Funnel Away Challenge Cost?

Right now, you can sign up for the One Funnel Away Challenge for just $100.

Personally, in my opinion, this is a crazy low price for the amount of value you get.

For example, I know people who have paid the $100 just because they wanted the 30Days.com book and other people who have joined just to get the summit interviews.

Having been through the training myself, I would say the core training of the Challenge alone is worth 10X the price you pay.

When Are The Next OFA Challenge Start Dates?

The One Funnel Away Challenge is not open to join at any time, but they do run it fairly frequently at the moment.

However, there has been talk that ClickFunnels may not continue to run the Challenge in the future.

What You Will Learn In The One Funnel Away Challenge

When you register for the One Funnel Away Challenge, besides having access to the summit interviews and the 30Days.com book, you will learn how to build a business from start to launch in 30 days.

The One Funnel Away Challenge cuts out all the crap you don’t need to know. It get’s straight to the point to get your funnel up and running, and focuses on the core things to do to launch your sales funnel.

The coaching is broken down into different modules over  5 weeks. Here’s what you’ll learn during each week.

Pre-Training Week

This preliminary module will be unlocked straight away, regardless if you sign up to the Challenge early and it hasn’t started yet.

This module is focused on getting the right entrepreneur mindset in order to have success online.

While this module is definitely worth taking, I must warn you, it is also a bit of a pitch-fest for their height-ticket course, Funnel Builder Secrets.

While Funnel Builder Secrets is a great training package (I also bought it myself), you do not need it to achieve success with the One Funnel Away Challenge.

If, however, you do decide to upgrade and buy the Funnel builder Secrets package, you will get very detailed marketing training for building and launching your own products.

You will also get other advanced coaching programs and a considerable price reduction on your ClickFunnels subscription as well as access to the copywriting software program, Funnel Scripts.

If you want to know more about the Funnel Builder Secrets program then you can see the info and pricing here.

Now, Funnel Builder Secrets aside, when you first sign up for the One Funnel Away Challenge, all of the summit interviews will also be unlocked. So it’s well worth signing up for the Challenge early so you can have time to go through some of those interviews before the core modules start.

If you join the One Funnel Away Challenge and don’t have time to watch the summit videos before then that’s no problem as you can also watch these any time you want since you’ll have lifetime access to them.

OFA Challenge pre training week

Week 1

During the first week of coaching, Russell, Steve, and Julie first train you on how to choose a great niche that you will be able to make money in.

Then, Russell explains how you can spy on your competitors sales funnels and discover exactly what they’re doing to have success, what kind of products they are promoting, how they’re putting their offers together, and how they’re getting their traffic.

Russell explains how you can create your products very quickly while Julie shows you over her shoulder, exactly how to do the steps.

You will learn how to get your logo and eCovers done to make your products look really professional.

OFA Challenge week one

Week 2

In week 2 you’ll learn all about creating on different platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, podcasts, and blogging.

Russell will teach you how to craft the backstory behind your brand, how to come up with compelling hooks that will hook people into your content and ultimately buy from you and how to put it all together in a way that people will find engaging.

OFA week two

Week 3

Week 3 is when you start to create your sales funnel.

Russell starts off by explaining the core funnel strategy so you understand how it all works.

Fortunately, you don’t have to build your sales funnel from scratch.

Russell gives you a massive shortcut by giving you 5 different sales funnel templates that are already set up for the training. All you need to do is pick the one you want to use and customize it as they show you.

Over the week, you’ll be setting up the squeeze page, the sales page, the OTO page (one time offer), and the member’s area. You’ll also be plugging in all the pieces of the product you made in the previous weeks.

OFA week three

Week 4

In the final week of the training you’ll be learning about the three different types of traffic and how to flood your funnel with highly targeted potential customers.

This is the week when you can actually start to make money with your sales funnel.

While a number of people have made sales with their funnel even before the 30 days Challenge has finished, most people do not.

For most, they then need to continue to drive traffic and build their audience over the following weeks and months and make tweaks to their sales funnel and offer.

The One Funnel Away Challenge final week

Now let’s meet the One Funnel Away Challenge coaches. You’ll have sessions with 3 top-level online marketers, each with their unique skill sets.

Each day begins with training from Russell on the daily mission. He will give you a high-level overview you need to complete each step of the training.

He’ll help you put all the pieces of the puzzle together so you can see how everything works. Then, it’s Julie’s job to give you the nuts and bolts coaching on how to actually fit all the pieces together.

Julie Stoian

Julie Stoian is a key figure in ClickFunnels and is the Vice-President of Marketing for the company. She’s a successful entrepreneur in her own right and a member of the famous two Comma Club.

In her training videos, Julie will show you the “how to’s” of Russell’s training. She will show you over her shoulder, how to complete the assignments for each day in a step-by-step process.

Stephen Larsen

Stephen Larsen, another two Comma Club members, is also a key figure in the ClickFunnels company.

When he first joined the company he sat next to Russell for 2 years. He learned everything there is to know about funnel building and online marketing business directly from the master himself.

In the Challenge, you will have daily coaching calls with Stephen to give you deeper insight into the day’s lessons and motivate you to stay on track.

He’s kind of a crazy guy, fun and full of energy. The One Funnel Away Challenge was my first introduction to Stephen and at first, I thought, “who is this crazy guy..?!” But when he shares his insights, man, I was really surprised at the depth of knowledge and understanding this guy has.

Some of the things he shares are also profound. I had several light bulb moments listening to Stephen.

Who Is The Challenge For?

I’m gonna warn you now, the One Funnel Away Challenge is not for everyone.

If you want to build an online business around any of the following models then the One Funnel Away Challenge is for you:

  • Creating your own digital products
  • Selling physical products
  • Selling services such as coaching and consulting
  • Promoting other people’s products as an affiliate

You also need to be prepared to put in the time and effort to do the work and not expect to be a millionaire overnight.

Who The OFA Challenge Is NOT For

If you’re looking for a push-button system that requires little or no effort on your part (they don’t exist by the way) then do not join the One Funnel Away Challenge, it’s not for you.

If you are expecting to build a successful business without investing time and money into your business and your own education then it is not for you.

If you think the coaches will do everything for you, then the Challenge is not for you.

Is The Challenge Doable In 30 Days?

When I first signed up for the Challenge I was under the impression that I’d need to spare about 1 hour a day, maybe 2hrs tops on some days.

But this wasn’t the case….

I can’t remember where I got that idea from, but it seemed that a lot of other people in the One Funnel Away Challenge Facebook group also thought the same thing.

The reality is different, though.

On most days, it will take you at least an hour just to watch the daily videos, including Stephen’s webinar coaching call.

You then gotta do the assignments.

There are some days where the activities won’t take you hardly any time at all. On other days, they may take you an hour or two to complete.

If you’re creating your own products then you will also need to spread out the time needed to do that over several weeks.

If you’ve got some money to pay people to do work for you (as Russell shows) then that’s great, you’ll get them done a lot quicker.

Alternatively, instead of spending money, you can spend your time doing all the work yourself.

When it comes to the weekends, it’s also important to realize that there will be additional activities on some of them, but not all.

There are also some weekends that Russell has reserved to give you a couple of extra catch up days. This is in case you need extra time to watch videos and complete the assignments.

If you’re gonna do the Challenge then I highly recommend keeping your diary as clear as possible for those 30 days.

If you wanna give yourself the best chance you can to have success then it’s best to schedule weekends away or plans with friends and family for the next month.

So, is the One Funnel Away Challenge doable in 30 days? Yes, but you’ll need to focus and commit to it for the 30 day period.

If you’ve already got a business up and running and you already have products then you’ll already be halfway along. If you’re creating a business from scratch then you’ll need more time to create or find assets to sell.

Why I Signed Up For The Challenge

The Challenge can help you to build all kinds of businesses.

It doesn’t matter if you want to create your own digital products, sell other peoples as an affiliate, generate leads for a traditional business like real estate, build an MLM, sell a service or operate a drop-ship model.

However, it seems that most people join to sell their own products.

For me, I didn’t have my own product at the time as my main business model is affiliate marketing.

I signed up because I was interested in expanding my marketing knowledge and wanted to see if there were more effective strategies I could learn that would help me as an affiliate. I also wanted the bonuses and was very curious to see what the coaching was all about.

The cost of the Challenge is so low and I could see straight away that the bonuses alone are worth way more than the $100 they charge to take the Challenge.

What I Like About The Challenge

There are loads of great things about the Challenge. What I like best about it is the way it is structured really makes you focus and get stuff done.

So many people have an idea to get started right online. They are proactive for a few weeks or maybe a few months, but then they lose focus and give up.

It’s also very common that entrepreneurs spend months and sometimes even years, trying to build their business but focus on the wrong things that end up leading to dead ends.

Russell, Julie and Stephen keep you focused every day on the exact things you need to do to give yourself the best chance of success.

What I Don’t Like About The Challenge

There’s really so much in the course that 30 days seems a bit rushed. Personally, I think it would be better to charge more for entry and spread the Challenge over 45 days.

While many people do complete the Challenge and have success on their first go, some people fall behind in the assignments or get distracted by other things. Because of this, I think extra time would be helpful for most people doing the Challenge.

On the flip side, since the One Funnel Away Challenge price is so low many people do it 2 or even 3 times to either complete the steps they didn’t get to or to launch a whole new business.

After all, if you needed to take the Challenge a second time to get everything completed and launched, is $200 really large investment?

While $200 will, of course, mean different things to different people, it is not a lot of money to invest to launch a business.

OFA Challenge Pros and Cons

Funnel Scripts Review – Write Pro Copy In Half The Time

my Funnel Scripts Review

Are you struggling to write great copy to sell your products?

Perhaps you’ve been blowing a brain cell trying to think of what to write in your email sequences that will captivate your audience?

You may have been spending a ton of money on ads only to avail in a measly amount of clicks?

Or maybe you’re trying to promote affiliate offers but people just aren’t clicking your links?

There’s no denying it, good copywriting skills is an essential part of building a successful online business.

Without it, you’ll likely make next to no money and eventually quit.

However, when you get it right then just a few small tweaks can make a huge difference.

For example, as a blogger, I was surprised the first time I made a tiny tweak to a headline by using the free Funnel Scripts headline generator and saw the impact it had on both clicks and sales.

If you’ve been trying to learn copywriting yourself then you’ll already realize it’s difficult and it takes a long time to master.

The common alternative is to pay a professional copywriter to write your copy for you. If you can afford it, that is; they’re pretty expensive.

However, professional copywriter Jim Edwards and his marketing buddy, Russell Brunson have created another alternative that they say is much quicker and more cost-effective.

It’s a push-button software program that can write your sales copy for you. They call it Funnel Scripts.

Since I recently purchased this product, today, I am going to be diving deep into exactly what it can do and whether or not you really need it for your business.

So, here in my Funnel Scripts review 2021 I will give you the lowdown on the complete software, including the free headline generator you can use to test it out before you buy.

Funnel Scripts Review: What Does It Do?

Funnel Scripts has been developed to give everyone the ability to quickly create professional-level sales copy without having to pay expensive copywriters to do it for you.

It works by using templates based on some of the best performing copywriting scripts in history and structuring them around the content you input that is specific to your market, audience and the products or services you are promoting.

Jim Edwards, the creator of the Funnel Scripts software, has included templates to enable you to create sales copy for a large number of reasons including, ad copy, landing pages, video, and written sales letter scripts, bullet scripts, headlines, email sequences, webinars and more.

Basically, you spend a few minutes inputting some data about your audience, product, the benefits and so forth, then press a button. Funnel Scripts will then generate multiple variations that you can choose from.

Who Is Funnel Scripts For?

Most businesses need to use some kind of sales copy. If you’re trying to sell your own products, promote offers as an affiliate, collect leads, you need to write ads or you need to email your subscribers then you will need to have some kind of copy.

As a blogger, I also realized that I can benefit a lot by improving the headlines of my posts.

Copywriting is a hard to learn skill and does not come naturally to most people. However, if you already have this skill then it’s probably not necessary for you to buy Funnel Scripts unless you just want a faster way of doing it.

If copywriting is something that gives you a headache, it’s a task that takes you hours without really knowing how effective it’s going to be or if you outsource it but pay a hefty price for it then Funnel Scripts will be a big benefit to you.

What I Like About Funnel Scripts

When you first buy Funnel Scripts and get inside the member’s area you will notice there is a huge amount of stuff in there for you to dive into.

There are several features I really like, but some of my favorites are the following:

Large Number of Scripts Available

Funnel Scripts is not just a headline generator; it’s not only used for writing ad copy; it can be used for much more than just creating your email sequences.

It is a very powerful program which, gives you the ability to create copy for any kind of purpose you could imagine.

Funnel Scripts Produces Good Quality Copy

When I first heard about Funnel Scripts, I must admit I was a little skeptical as to how good the copy it produces might be.

Many years ago I purchased a headline and sales page generator, but it was mediocre at best. However, that was around 2007 and fortunately, software has come a very long way since then.

I was more than pleasantly surprised to see that the quality of the copy produced by Funnel Scripts not only reads well, but it also keeps to the structure of professionally written copy that creates engagement.

You Can Create Copy Very Quickly

There are no two ways about it, Funnel Scripts is fast.

Compared to writing copy yourself or even outsourcing it to a professional and waiting for your copy to come back, Funnel Scripts can bash out your copy in minutes.

When you use one of the script generators, it will ask you to fill in some boxes with data about your product and target audience. Depending on the script you’re using this can take around 10-20 minutes.

Then, all you do is hit the build button and wham! Your copy is generated.

The copywriting script generators will produce a few different variations for you to choose from, all of which are fully editable by you if you need to.

Free Copywriting Training Included

If you’re using Funnel Scripts then you don’t need to learn copywriting yourself.

However, knowing a bit about the formulas of creating great copy and how it leads your audience to take the action you desire will help you to get even better results with the copy you generate.

I have always been interested in copywriting and the psychology behind it.

While I do now use Funnel Scripts myself, I am still interested in and fully intend to learn more about it to improve my skills in this area.

So I was pleased to see a number of training videos that are also in the member’s area if you do have the inclination to learn more about writing great copy.

Monthly Copywriting webinars

Creator, Jim Edwards, is really passionate and proactive about Funnel Scripts.

Since copywriting is a skill that is close to his heart and he wants his members to get the most out of using his product, he holds monthly training webinars that you can sign up for for free.

You can also watch the latest webinar replay in the member’s area if you can’t make it live.

monthly Funnel Script training webinars

Pimp My Funnel

If you want expert help with your sales copy, from Jim Edwards himself then you can apply to be featured in an episode of Funnel Scripts Tips, which are Jim’s copywriting tips webinars.

Since there’s so many users of the software it’s not guaranteed that you will get chosen. However, you can keep applying if you want to get his help directly. If you are chosen then it can make a huge difference to your business.

Extra Funnel Scripts Bonuses

When you buy Funnel Scripts you will also notice you get 4 extra bonuses in the member’s area. These bonuses are:

Bonus #1 – Inception Secrets

This is a training that marketer Russell Brunson gave to his inner circle a few years ago. He shows you how to be able to sell anything to anyone and make it seem like it’s their idea to buy from you. It will teach you how to plant the seeds of desire inside a person’s head so they will naturally want to buy your stuff.

Inception Secrets bonus

Bonus #2 – 5 Fast Funnels

Here they give you access to the 5 most popular and commonly used funnel that you’ll likely need to use online.

Bonus #3 – Copywriting Secrets Master Class

This is a course Jim created to help people get high-impact results from their sales copy without having to hire a copywriter. He also teaches you some simple tweaks that can make a huge difference to your conversions.

Each month you can join Jim live on his monthly webinars to learn how to get the most out of Funnel Scripts and sell more stuff.

What I Don’t Like About Funnel Scripts

Funnel Scripts Navigation Is a Bit Crowded

Since there’s so much inside the Funnel Scripts members area it can take you a while to get to grips with it.

Some of the features are hidden within other tabs, which can take you some time to find where everything is when you first use it.

It’s Quite Expensive

The sale price of $797 might be quite steep for a lot of small businesses and solopreneurs to shell out at one time.

However, if creating effective sales copy is a big part of your business then it will save you a lot of money over time not having to pay a professional copywriter, whose fees are usually very high.

Funnel Scripts: What Scripts Are Available?

In this section, I’ll share with you all the different kinds of scripts you can create and show you screenshots of each section so you’ll know exactly what you get with Funnel Scripts.

Not only are there quite a few different categories of scripts you can generate, but each category also has several different types of scripts. This is good so you can drill down to create exactly the right kind of script you need for the right channel you are promoting through.

While most scripts work directly from the dashboard, others are available to you form the dashboard as downloadable wizards.

Some of the most common scripts people use include:

  • Email scripts
  • Ad scripts
  • Headline scripts
  • Bullet scripts
  • Sales letter scripts
  • Video sales letter (VSL) scripts

Besides these, Funnel Scripts also has a ton more. Check out the full list of available scripts below.

The final list of available scripts

Funnel Scripts Pricing

Funnel Scripts used to be a yearly subscription at $497 per year.

However, in 2019 the Funnel Scripts pricing changed to $797 for lifetime access.

While this is a fairly high price to pay initially, if you will need to write good sales copy in your business on an ongoing basis then this is a better deal than the original price of Funnel Scripts.

Basically, you need to consider how important it is to you and your business to write good copy before you buy Funnel Scripts.

For example, if you need to regularly write emails to your list, headlines for your blog posts, ads, and landing pages or if you’re regularly creating ads and need them to always perform well then it may be worth it to you to invest in the Funnel Scripts lifetime deal.

Whether you should buy Funnel Scripts or not will depend on several factors. You need to weigh up the following:

  • How often you will need to create copy
  • How much money would it cost you to outsource it to a professional copywriter
  • How much time would it cost you if you decide to learn copywriting yourself
  • How much might it cost you in both time and money to do it yourself through trial and error

Funnel Scripts Free Trial

When people hear about this software they often ask, is there a Funnel scripts free trial?

The answer is, Yes.

However, while there are a large number of scripts you can create with Funnel Scripts to make copy for all kinds of reasons, there is only the Funnel Scripts free headline generator that can be used on the free trial.

If, while you’re reading this Funnel Scripts review, you’re interested in taking this sales copy generator for a test-drive then you can try the Funnel Scripts headline generator for free here.

Funnel Scripts free headline generator

Personally, I would like to see a free trial of other scripts besides only the headline script. For example, I think it would be really helpful to also include an ad script and a bullet script trial so people can get a clearer picture of what Funnel Scripts can actually do before they purchase.

However, the headline generator script is a good tool and gives a reasonable insight into the Funnel Scripts software. Just be aware that the tool can do so much more than just create fancy headlines.

Funnel Scripts Webinar

Jim Edwards and Funnel Scripts co-founder, Russell Brunson created an hour-long copywriting webinar that teaches some important fundamentals of copywriting that marketers and entrepreneurs need to understand.

While, of course, this webinar does also promote the Funnel Scripts product, they show you everything the software can do, what you get when you invest and how to get all your copy from sales letters, webinar scripts, ads, and even email sequences written in under 10 minutes.

If you’re not interested to buy Funnel Scripts but you do want to learn more about copywriting then I still recommend you watch this webinar.

You can watch the Funnel Scripts webinar here.

Where Can You Buy Funnel Scripts?

The owners of Funnel Scripts would prefer you to first watch their free Funnel Scripts webinar and then move through their sales funnel. This way they can hook you in and sell you more stuff.

However, if you just want to buy Funnel Scripts without having to go through the sales funnel then here’s the back door where you can buy Funnel Scripts directly.

Funnel Scripts Pros and Cons

Like any product you buy, there will always be pros and cons. Here are the pros and cons of Funnel Scripts:

Funnel Scripts Pros

  • Instant access once you purchase
  • Easy to use
  • Instruction videos for each script
  • Many different script types for all kinds of marketing needs

  • Data input fields allow you to customize scripts with your personality and to fit your audience
  • Multiple versions of each script generated to give you choice
  • Scripts can easily be edited
  • Example scripts included
  • Additional downloadable wizards for more complex script creation
  • Lots of training videos
  • Monthly webinars
  • Additional bonuses included

Funnel Scripts Cons

  • Some scripts take time to enter all your data into the input fields
  • Sometimes the script can be a bit generic – fortunately you can customize and edit the scripts as needed
  • It can take a while to get your head around all the different available features
  • Initial price can be high for some small business owners and solopreneurs (fortunately, this has been improved slightly since Funnel Scripts has now been made a one-time purchase)

Funnel Scripts: My Final Thoughts

When you buy Funnel Scripts you certainly get a lot for your money. There are a ton of scripts available inside the members area, and you also get access to a few downloadable wizards for more advanced scripts.

Russell and Jim have included scripts for all kinds of copy you might need to create.

While the initial price tag of $797 can be expensive for a lot of entrepreneurs, if you’re going to be using it regularly then, in my opinion, it is worth the investment as it can save you both time and money moving forward.

So now, the question is, do you and your business need it..? Only you can answer that question.

If you’ve not already tried the free headline generator, why not try it out to see what it can do.

If you want to have a more detailed look at the product that goes beyond this Funnel Scripts review, and see it live in action then I highly recommend you join the free copywriting webinar with Jim and Russell.

Copywriting Secrets Book Review by Jim Edwards

The Copywriting Secrets book

The Copywriting Secrets Book is now here, but is it any good and do you really need it?

If you’ve been trying to sell your product or service online but are not having much luck then one of the most likely things that are letting you down is your sales copy.

Being able to write copy that converts is a million-dollar skill that takes years to learn.

Fortunately for you and me, we don’t need to be master copywriters to make a full-time income online…

All you need to do is to be good at the fundamentals and understand the psychology behind selling to get people to buy your stuff.

Now, you can learn this and more from a master copywriter, Jim Edwards’ new copywriting book.

And there’s even more great news… You can get a free copy for a limited time. You just need to cover the shipping.

Here’s a closer look at what you’ll learn from this book.

The Copywriting Secrets Book – What’s Inside?

Well, the title is a bit of a giveaway – the book is about the secret understandings and strategies the master copywriters use to sell more stuff.

The book contains 31 different secrets broken down by chapter. In each chapter, Jim goes into detail and explains the secrets in an easy to understand way.

What I particularly like about Jim’s approach is he also teaches in a way that you can actually take action immediately on what you are learning and put it into practice.

Who Is Jim Edwards?

If you’re part of the ClickFunnels community then no doubt, you will already have heard of Jim from his super-helpful copywriting and online marketing video tips he shares.

If you want some free copywriting training from Jim then you can register for his free webinar here.

If you don’t already know him then here’s some background on the guy.

In his early career, Jim Edwards worked in sales for a finance company and was often responsible for creating their sales copy. Jim found he had a knack for it and spent a considerable amount of time learning all he could about copywriting to perfect his craft.

Around 2000 he decided to work for himself online. Since that time, Jim has had tremendous success both with affiliate marketing and creating his own products.

Jim is also the creator of several successful software products.

Probably the most well-known software product by Jim is the auto-generating sales copy software, Funnel Scripts.

Jim partnered with another super-successful marketer, Russell Brunson, the owner of ClickFunnels, and brought this product to the online marketing community.

Copywriting Secrets – The Key Points

If you’re wondering if this book is too advanced or too simple for you, depending on your current level, then here’s some more info on Copywriting Secrets for beginners and experienced marketers.

Copywriting Secrets For Beginners

If you’re a newbie to the world of online marketing or copywriting then this book will give you a solid foundation in the art and science of copywriting.

When I first got my copy of the book I thought it was gonna be pretty basic since Jim is giving it away for free. However, I was very surprised at the detail Jim goes into.

In my opinion, this is a great book for both beginners and experienced copywriters. If you’re a complete newbie to selling online then this book will certainly get you moving in the right direction.

Copywriting Secrets For Experienced Marketers

By the time I read Jim’s book I was already a seasoned marketer with around seven years experience. Several of my businesses require me to write sales copy and email copy, which I have mostly learned myself.

While I am by no means a master copywriter, not even close, but I’m quite okay at it and my copy does bring me results.

Reading Jim’s book gave me a deeper perspective on writing sales copy and I also learned several things that I did not know before.

If you’re an experienced marketer with some copywriting experience then it’s highly likely that you will also learn a few new things from Jim’s book too.

The Copywriting Secrets Funnel

The Copywriting Secrets book by Jim Edwards is currently free, but we don’t know for how long. If you are thinking about getting a copy then I highly recommend you grab one now before he starts charging for it. You can get your copy here.

When you get your copy of the book you will be offered 3 upsells in the funnel.

  • Copywriting Secrets Audio Book – $27
  • Sales Story Secrets – $97
  • Funnel Scripts – $697

While you can also buy Funnel Scripts directly, it’s worth bearing in mind that the other two products are only offered in this funnel.

If you want to get one of them and you don’t take up the offer then you will not be able to go back later to order them.

The only way you could have another chance to get them is to get another copy of the book and go through the funnel again.

If you want to learn more about this copywriting software product then you can read my Funnel Scripts review here.

Do I Need The Copywriting Secrets AudioBook?

If you’re a slow reader, you’ve already got several books on the go and don’t have the time to start reading a new one or if you just don’t like reading then spending $27 on the audiobook will be a wise investment for you.

Personally, I love listening to business audiobooks while I’m driving or going through my morning routine. This has probably saved me hundreds of hours over the years.

Is There a Copywriting Secrets PDF Download?

No, there is no PDF download of the Copywriting Secrets book. If you want to read it then you will need to order the paperback version and wait for it to arrive in the post.

Copywriting Secrets Price

Copywriting Secrets retails for $19.95, but as I mentioned before, at the moment the book is free, but likely only for a limited time. If you are thinking of getting a copy then I highly recommend you get it now while this offer is still available.

When you order the book, you will get a free copy, but you will need to cover the shipping cost.

Final Thoughts

So, do I think it’s worth spending a few bucks on shipping to get a copy of this book? Yes, definitely.

If you’re short on time to read it then I also highly recommend investing the $27 to get the audio version.

Personally, I didn’t get the audio version of this book, but I wish I had done so. I’m currently reading it for the second time and this book is definitely the kind of material you’re gonna want to refer back to again and again.

ClickFunnels vs Kajabi

ClickFunnels vs Kajabi feature image

ClickFunnels and Kajabi are both platforms that have been around for a while now. They have a lot of similar features, but ClickFunnels is particularly known for its landing page and funnel builder, whereas Kajabi is best known for its membership hosting capabilities.

So, if you’re looking for a tool that has all these features, which do you choose? ClickFunnels vs Kajabi can be a close call, but you will want to pick one over depending on the specifics of your business.

I’ve used ClickFunnels myself for quite a long time, and while I do think it’s a great tool, it definitely does lack in some key areas. It can also get quite expensive, which is why I have started looking into alternatives like Kajabi.

So, here I’m going to dive into the details and let you know exactly how Kajabi compares.

ClickFunnels vs Kajabi – TL;DR Overview

If you want the short overview then here are the main differences between Kajabi and ClickFunnels:

  • Kajabi offers more flexible pricing plans with more options
  • Kajabi comes with free video hosting via Wistia, while with ClickFunnels you need to use for a 3rd party service to short your videos
  • Kajabi’s membership site builder is much more robust than ClickFunnels’
  • Kajabi has a better membership site builder
  • ClickFunnels’ funnel and page builder is more complete compared to Kajabi’s
  • ClickFunnels has more funnel templates and more options to download more if needed
  • ClickFunnels has built-in split-testing
  • ClickFunnels has more integrations

If you want the best of both worlds then you can also integrate these two platforms and use them both, although that will be quite expensive.

More Comparisons

After you’ve read this article about ClickFunnels vs Kajabi, you might also find these other articles helpful:

What Is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels homepage

ClickFunnels is the most popular funnel builder on the market, as it has over 120,000 paying customers.

Since Russell Brunson founded it in 2014, it has seen tremendous growth and has become extremely popular in the internet marketing community.

Not only does it offer a robust platform with lots of revenue-generating features, but it also has a strong community and helpful educational material.

One of the reasons why so many customers love it is because it comes with everything you need to build high-converting sales funnels quickly and easily.

What Is Kajabi?

Kajabi homepage

Kajabi has been around a little longer than ClickFunnels as it was founded in 2010. Since then it has helped over 40,000 infopreneurs serve 60 million students – generating over $2 billion in sales.

Kajabi has always been known to be a go-to membership site builder for many entrepreneurs. However, in recent years it has expanded its set of features to offer pretty much everything you need to market your products too.

I’ll dive into these in more detail later in this article.

ClickFunnels Pros

  • A very user-friendly funnel builder
  • The platform overall is easy to use
  • Decent all-in-one system
  • The great community behind the platform
  • Lots of educational material
  • It has a lot more integrations
  • Can host live webinars and auto-webinars

ClickFunnels Cons

  • It can get quite costly
  • No video hosting
  • Affiliate-tracking is not so good
  • It doesn’t let you host pre-recorded webinars without a 3rd party integration

Kajabi Pros

  • Powerful membership site builder with lots of features and customization
  • Visual sales funnel pipeline builder
  • The platform is easy-to-use
  • Free video hosting via Wistia
  • Decent set of marketing tools and lets you host pre-recorded webinars

Kajabi Cons

  • The landing page builder is not as advanced as that of ClickFunnels
  • Most of the plans don’t allow you to host many sites/custom domains (only one on the Basic and Growth plans, 3 on the Pro plan)
  • If you want all the features it can get quite expensive
  • It doesn’t have as much split-testing functionality

ClickFunnels Features

Now that we have looked at both platforms, I wanted to dive deeper into their features. Let’s look at ClickFunnels first and then see how Kajabi compares.

ClickFunnels’ Core Offering: The Funnel Builder

ClickFunnels’ core offering is the funnel builder, as it lets you quickly build pretty much any type of sales funnel you can think of.

You name it, ClickFunnels can build it:

  • Webinar funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Upsell funnels
  • Two-step cart funnel funnels
  • eCommerce funnels
  • Book funnels
  • Affiliate funnels
  • And much more

The funnel builder is drag and drop, and is very easy to use. This is also what ClickFunnels is known for because it was pretty much one of the first SaaS tools that made this process so easy.

The image below is what it looks like inside the funnel builder.

the ClickFunnels funnel builder

Here are some funnel template categories that you can find inside ClickFunnels.

ClickFunnels funnel templates

If you want to see other alternative page builders to ClickFunnels then you can also take a look at my list of the top sales funnel builders here.

ClickFunnels Membership Site Builder

Although the membership site builder is part of the page builder, I did want to discuss it in more detail, as this is one feature in particular that we can compare directly with Kajabi.

Overall, it’s not as advanced as Kajabi’s membership site builder, but it is pretty good. Here are a few important things you can do with ClickFunnels membership sites:

  • Drip-feed your content
  • Automated membership management (although less than dedicated platforms)
  • Locked posts
  • Multiple access levels

However, where it lacks compared to the Kajabi membership site builder is the customization, analytics, and engagement tools. Most dedicated platforms let you design your membership site in much more detail, and give you many options for branding.

ClickFunnels’ on the other hand, lacks a little in this area.

When it comes to the engagement tools, it doesn’t have any.

You can’t poll your students, ask them to complete surveys, or do any tests. Besides, you don’t get a lot of analytics, and it’s mostly just how many students have signed up to the membership site.

Another major drawback of using ClickFunnels for your membership site is that there is also no video hosting. This means you’d also have to pay for a 3rd party service like Wistia or Vimeo to host your videos, and then embed them into your membership site.

Checkouts

ClickFunnels comes with everything you need to create high-converting checkouts:

  • 2-step checkouts
  • One-click upsells and downsells
  • Order bumps

This is something that many other ClickFunnels (including myself) love about the platform, as it’s so easy to set up. And it helps you make the most out of your conversions.

Email Marketing – Follow-Up Funnels

ClickFunnels comes with an email autoresponder tool known as ‘Follow-Up Funnels.’

Follow-Up Funnels has some pretty standard automation sequences, but it’s nice that ClickFunnels has this useful feature built-in, so you don’t necessarily need a dedicated tool.

However, if you’re planning to use this feature then bear in mind that you will need to upgrade to the ClickFunnels Platinum plan, which will set you back $297 per month.

Alternatively, if you were sold on ClickFunnels, but you didn’t want to pay this much for it then you could also just go for the Standard plan at $97 per month and use GetResponse for your email automations, which starts at just $15 per month.

You can find out more about this 3rd party autoresponder here in my GetResponse review.

ClickFunnels Webinars

ClickFunnels lets you host both live and pre-recorded webinars. The only downside is that you also need to use a 3rd party webinar tool like Zoom or GoToMeeting.

Basically, it gives you the ability to create a webinar funnel and then run the event from your ClickFunnels dashboard.

This feature is decent, as it’s also easy to integrate with the follow-up funnels, or any other email autoresponder of your choice. However, ClickFunnels webinars do lack some advanced features like engagement tools.

FunnelFlix

FunnelFlix is ClickFunnels’ answer to Netflix, but for marketers and business owners.

The owner of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson is known for is educational courses in the digital marketing space. While they’re very good, a lot of them a very expensive.

However, if you’re a ClickFunnels user then you get access to these courses for free in the FunnelFlix area.

FunnelFlix doesn’t only have Russell’s courses. You can also find a ton of courses by some of the most successful and influential people and businesses in entrepreneurship, including Tony Robbins, Jay Abraham, John Reese, Agora, and more.

FunnelFlix Library2

Affiliate Management Tool

ClickFunnels comes with built-in affiliate management too. However, it’s also quite basic compared to a dedicated tool. It only lets you create per sale affiliate programs, and the tracking is not the best either.

The analytics are quite basic. For instance, you only get to see how much product an affiliate has sold, and their total commissions earned, and who they have referred. But overall, it’s also nice to have this feature built-in if you don’t need it to be more advanced than this.

What ClickFunnels Has That Kajabi Does Not Have

To give you a better overview of what benefits ClickFunnels has, I wanted to explain what Kajabi doesn’t have.

A Better Funnel Builder and More Funnel Templates

ClickFunnels’ funnel and page builder is easier to use and allows you to build a wider variety of funnels. This is expected as its ClickFunnels’ core offering, but it does have to be said.

Besides, it also comes with a lot more types of funnel templates like trip-wire funnels, webinar funnels, and so forth.

If you want to build more complex but comprehensive funnels with lots of steps – it may be worth going for ClickFunnels over Kajabi because it’ll better equip you to do so.

More Educational Material

Another big advantage of going for ClickFunnels is all of the educational material you get access to, at least on the Platinum plan.

You’ll have access to FunnelFlix on either plan you choose, but you get access to many more courses on the Platinum plan. This includes a large library of educational material, and Funnel Hack-A-Thons, which are live group coaching calls every Friday.

Kajabi does have some training, but it’s not quite as much as what ClickFunnels offers.

Bigger Community

ClickFunnels has a bigger community behind it, which is always an advantage for networking purposes. The ClickFunnels Facebook group has a whopping 200k+ members, and there are also seemingly endless users in other groups and social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Kajabi Features

Now that we have taken a look at ClickFunnels’ features, let’s look at how Kajabi compares.

Kajabi’s Core Offering: Membership Sites

Kajabi was originally only a membership site builder, and that’s still its core offering. Most of the people who use Kajabi (if not all) use it for its membership site builder.

ClickFunnels lacked in the following features:

  • Engagement tools
  • Analytics
  • Video hosting

Plus, the customization was not great either. If we compare how Kajabi’s membership sites look, you’ll see how much of a difference there is in branding possibilities.

Besides, Kajabi also gives you much better insights into your students, and you’ll be able to see which videos engage them and which don’t.

The platform also has great engagement tools like tests, surveys, and polls that you can use for your membership sites. Plus, you can even host a community inside a member’s area, making it almost like your own social media platform or forum.

And to add to this, your students can access your membership site via the Kajabi mobile app, which I’ll fill you in on soon in this article.

The image below is what a typical Kajabi membership course area looks like.

Kajabi membership site

Video Hosting

With Kajabi, you’ll have access to unlimited video hosting via Wistia. This is a big deal if you want to build a membership site because it means that you won’t have to pay more money to a 3rd party video host, unlike if you were using ClickFunnels.

Kajabi have partnered with Wistia to make this happen. If you’ve not heard of them before then Wistea are one of the best video hosting companies on the market.

Additionally, Wistia doesn’t only let you host your videos, but also gives you detailed analytics on your audiences engagement, and allows you to add CTAs or headlines to your videos.

Webinars

Similar to ClickFunnels, Kajabi also offers webinars. With Kajabi you can host both live and pre-recorded webinars, which can be very useful when scaling your high-ticket sales.

Landing Page Builder

The landing and page builder is not quite as advanced as ClickFunnels’ funnel builder, but it’s okay.

With the Kajabi builder you can create basic landing and sales pages for your business. However, ClickFunnels offers a lot more templates and advanced options here.

Similar to ClickFunnels, you can also use order bumps, one-click upsells, and downsells, which are all great tools for increasing the value of a customer.

The page builder is not too far from what ClickFunnels offers, but at the same time, Kajabi doesn’t let you build as many types of funnels as it’s a bit more basic.

Blog

Kajabi also has a blogging feature, which you can use to promote your membership sites. However, I wouldn’t really recommend using the Kajabi blogging feature if your intention is to build an optimized blog that ranks well in Google.

Don’t get me wrong, the Kajabi blog feature is great to use for building engagement with your audience, and perhaps also as a tool to let them know about upcoming events and the latest news. But if a blog is gonna be one of the core parts of your business then it’s just not going to have the capability of a WordPress blog.

With a WordPress blog you’ll have access to a huge range of tools that can help you to increase conversions, improve ranking, page load speed and more. Besides, if you have built a self-hosted WordPress blog then this is also a sellable asset if you do decide you want to sell your business at any point.

However, if you just want to use the blog to offer some value to your existing customers without necessarily focusing on ranking in search engines, this feature could be useful.

If you want a tool that allows you to create members areas, user funnels AND build websites and landing pages that rank well in Google, then I recommend you also take a look at my GrooveFunnels review here.

Email Marketing

Kajabi also lets you send email newsletters and build automation sequences. However, ClickFunnels’ email list segmentation is superior to that of Kajabi’s.

Besides this minor difference, their email marketing tools are very similar, as they both offer templates and similar features.

Visual Sales Pipeline Builder

One of the most unique things about Kajabi is its visual sales pipeline builder. In Kajabi, you can use this feature to visualize your entire sales funnel/pipeline and make easy edits from there.

This feature can help you plan, structure, and edit your campaigns easily.

Kajabi Mobile App

Kajabi also has a cool mobile app, which allows your customers to access any Kajabi membership site from their mobile phone.

This is super-useful for people since they will be able to login to your member’s area and watch your content even on the go.

Kajabi mobile app

Affiliate Management

Finally, Kajabi also has an affiliate management tool that is quite similar to the one in ClickFunnels. They both let you create per sale affiliate programs, and come with basic tracking functionality.

However, they lack the more advanced features that some other platforms have. It’s a tie here.

What Kajabi Has That ClickFunnels Does Not Have

Better Membership Site Builder

Just like ClickFunnels’ core offering is its funnel builder, Kajabi’s is its membership site builder.

With Kajabi, you’ll have more customization, engagement features, and better analytics giving you more insights and control over your site.

Besides this, Kajabi’s membership sites also look better, in my opinion.

Wistia Unlimited Video Hosting

One of the biggest benefits of Kajabi is that it offers unlimited video hosting.

All your videos for your sales pages, membership sites, etc., have to be hosted somewhere, and Kajabi has that built-in. Because video’s take up a lot of bandwidth, purchasing video hosting separately can cost $99+ per month.

Mobile App

Another feature that Kajabi has that ClickFunnels does not have is the mobile app. If you’re using Kajabi then your customers will benefit from being able to access your content from their mobile phone wherever they are. And you benefit from this app because you will have more chances to engage with your audience.

ClickFunnels vs Kajabi – Pricing

Now that we have taken a look at all the features that both ClickFunnels and Kajabi have to offer, let’s look at how they compare when it comes to pricing.

ClickFunnels Cost

ClickFunnels doesn’t have a lot of options when it comes to pricing. Besides the enterprise plan, there are only two pricing options which are $97 and $297. Unfortunately, you do not get all the features on every plan.

Kajabi Cost

Kajabis pricing ranges from $149 per month to $399 per month. However, one thing to look out for is the number of sites/domains you can host on each plan. If you own several businesses, then one Kajabi account may not be enough for you.

Final Thoughts – ClickFunnels vs Kajabi – Which Is Best?

I hope this ClickFunnels vs Kajabi comparison has helped you make a good decision. As you can see, they’re both great platforms, but there are a few key differences to be aware of.

ClickFunnels – Great if the landing page and funnel builder is more important to you, and membership sites are not a core part of your business.

Kajabi – Great if membership sites are a core part of your business.

Top 6 Evergreen Niches, & 71 Sub-Niche Ideas

Evergreen niches on a chalk board

If you’re looking to start a blog, but you don’t want to choose a passing fad that may be gone tomorrow then your best bet is to choose one of the evergreen niches that will ensure your blog always stays relevant.

Starting a blog takes a lot of work. On top of that, nowadays it takes quite a long time to generate a steady stream of traffic to your blog, especially if you’re starting from scratch. That’s why it’s a good idea to choose a niche that will be forever profitable and pay you well for years to come.

Here are the top 6 evergreen blog niches that make money, and 71 sub-niche ideas that you can start now to grow a profitable online business.

What Is An Evergreen Niche

An evergreen niche is a topic that doesn’t lose its value or relevance over time. It’s a subject that people will always have an interest in or a need for, until the end of time.

For example, Relationships is a great evergreen niche because we are a social species and we will always have the need to start, nurture and maintain good relationships.

One very popular evergreen sub-niche of the relationship market is the dating niche. There will always be people who are interested in dating, or need help when it comes to their love life.

Why Choose An Evergreen Niche For Blogging?

Choosing an evergreen niche for blogging is usually the best way to go, in my opinion. It gives you the opportunity to write one article and use it again and again for multiple purposes.

Considering it now takes time for new articles to rank (unless your blog has crazy-high authority), it makes sense to focus on topics that people will always search for.

You can write an article now that is still relevant in 5-10 years time. You may have to tweak it hear and there when it needs to be updated, but for the most part the overall topic is always relevant.

Is It Enough To Just Blog About a Niche That Is Evergreen?

No. There are quite a lot of evergreen niches out there that are just not profitable.

Sure, you might make a bit of money with some of them. But considering the amount of time (and money) it takes to grow and rank a successful blog, you’re gonna want to choose a niche that you can also make decent money from.

Some people argue that you could make money from any niche that you can generate a decent level of traffic to if you’re monetising with an ad network like MediaVine or AdThrive.

While that may be true to a point, yes, you could join and ad network and slap the ad banners all over your site. But if the niche doesn’t make much money in general, then you’re not gonna get paid much per click.

Another reason this is not a good idea is that you’re also going to be limited to one monetisation strategy. What if the ad network decides they don’t like your site any more and kick you off, and you can’t get approved to another one?

Using an ad network also slows down your site speed considerably, and affects user experience. Google is now super-hot on sites providing both a good user experience for visitors, and having a site that loads quickly.

If people are leaving your site because it’s taking too long to load, or because they’re getting annoyed by too many ads then Google may demote your rankings.

Since May 2021 Google is now using these factors as ranking signals. You can check how your site is doing in this regard in the core web vitals section of your Google Search Console.

I’m not bashing ad networks here, they can be a great source of income if you have a lot of traffic. I’m just saying don’t paint yourself into a corner where you have to rely on one.

I’m also not saying that every site that is using an ad network is gonna get slammed in the next Google update. That’s probably very unlikely. However, it is possible that having a badly optimised site, and also using third party services that slow your site down could hurt your rankings.

So, with that out of the way, in order to choose a good evergreen niche to blog about, then I recommend only looking at niches that you can also make a decent amount of money from, and also gives you the opportunity to diversify your blog’s monetisation.

The 5 Top-Level Evergreen Niches

A top-level evergreen niche is a niche that all other sub-niches fit into in that category. Another way to say it is, it’s an “umbrella niche” which all other sub-niches fit into in that market.

The 6 top-level evergreen niches are:

  • Health
  • Wealth
  • Relationships
  • Self-Help
  • Technology
  • Recreation

These are the five topics that people will always want information on. Each of these niches also have loads, and loads of sub-niches, which are highly monetizeable.

Why Choose a Sub-Niche?

Unfortunately, these niches at the top level are just too competitive for about 99% of people to target directly with a blog.

For example, if you wanted to start a health site that was going to blog about anything and everything to do with health then your competition is going to be powerhouse sites like WebMD, HealthLine, and the MayoClinic.

These sites are multi-million dollar companies that can easily outspend you (if you’re a small-time blogger) on content creation and link building.

It just won’t be possible to compete going head to head with them.

On top of this, the health niche (as well as the finance niche) is known as a YMYL (your money, your life) niche. Basically, if your content has the potential to directly impact someone’s health or financial circumstances then Google are not going to rank you unless you have a huge amount of authority and credibility in the space.

Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you can’t start some kind of health blog, though.

If you want to get into the health market in some way then you’ll have to sub-niche down to find something less competitive, and that doesn’t have dire implications on someone’s health.

I will get into a few evergreen sub-niches in each of the 6 categories later in this post.

How To Choose A Good Sub-Niche

I could write quite a long post about choosing a good niche (which I will do and will link to from this section once I’ve written it), but for now here are a few tips and resources you can use to check if your sub-niche idea does have a steady or growing interest.

Use Google Trends

Google Trends

Google Trends is a great, free tool that you can use to check the past and present popularity of any topic.

Google has collected and sorted a ton of user information based on what people search the internet for. And this info is ready for you to access for free whenever you want.

You can search by topic and then look at the trend lines to see if it’s a niche of increasing or declining interest, and also if it has seasonal activity.

For example, if you see the trend line spiking at points throughout the year then it’s probably a seasonal niche where it gets more interest at certain times of the year.

A seasonal niche in Google Trends

Here are some examples of seasonal niches:

  • Golf
  • Camping
  • BBQ’s
  • Air Conditioning
  • Log Burners

These niches will likely make most of their money at key points of the year, and may be pretty quiet during the rest of it.

Seasonal niches can be great, but if you want a blog that makes money all year round then don’t pick a seasonal niche.

Answer The Public

Answer The Public

Answer The Public is another great tool that you can sue for free to see what’s popular online at the moment.

You can use it to find out what questions people are asking and determine if their is a hot trend or a possible emerging market.

If a lot of people have a question about a topic then chances are there’s a problem there that needs solving.

Solving people’s problems is where the money is to be made, either by promoting affiliate products or offering your own. However, if you’re new to this then I would strongly advise starting off promoting products as an affiliate first, and build an audience, before you go to the trouble of making your own products. This way you can test the market with outer people’s products, and then when it comes time to create your own products you can ask your audience what they actually want first, before you go to all the trouble of creating something.

Top 6 Evergreen Blog Niches

Health Niche

The health niche is one of the most popular and profitable niches on the internet, and it contains thousands of smaller sub-niches that you can get into.

Whether you want to start a blog about toe-nail fungus, losing weight, or getting in shape, there’s an absolute ton of opportunity in this space to create a profitable blog around an evergreen topic.

If you’re an affiliate then there’s loads of great products you can promote that will pay you well.

Dieting is an example of a niche with lots of good products that will earn you decent money. If you’re interested in this niche then you can also check out my article on the best affiliate programs for weight loss.

If you have some expertise in your chosen sub-niche then there’s also a lot of scope to create your own products to sell from your blog. These could include eBooks, courses, or even physical products.

Health Sub-Niche Examples

Here are some ideas for sub-niches in the health space:

  • Smoothie recipes
  • Natural remedies
  • Nootropics
  • Adrenal fatigue recovery
  • Sleep hacks
  • Weight loss solutions
  • Dynamic strength training
  • Acne treatment
  • Anti-aging
  • Organic food
  • Vegetarian diet
  • Yoga

These niches will always be evergreen because there will always be people who need help and information on these topics.

Relationships Niche

The relationship niche is another hugely popular and profitable market. There will always be people who need help with a relationship, whether it’s help and guidance to find Mr or Miss Right, getting an ex back after a breakup, or saving a marriage.

There’s a lot of money to be made helping people solve their relationship problems by recommending some great products created by professional relationship experts that can help them. However, if you’re going to get into this niche then do your research on the products you promote because there is also a lot of crap out there too.

Relationship Sub-Niche Examples

  • Female dating advice
  • Male dating advice
  • Dating site/app review site
  • Dating advice for people of a specific religious discipline (ie Christian dating, Jewish dating, etc)
  • Dating advice for specific ethnic groups

Wealth Niche

Since modern society revolves around money, and most of us need it to live, people will always want information on either how to make, save or invest money.

As you can probably already tell, the wealth niche spans a huge amount of sub-categories. So, whether you want to start a blog that show people how to build a business online, how to be an expert money-saver, or how to invest the money you have then there’s lots of opportunity here.

As I mentioned earlier, certain sub-niches in the wealth category would fall into YMYL. So, if you’re new to blogging and SEO, and if you don’t have the credibility and budget behind you it’d be advisable to steer clear of those niches.

Wealth Sub-Niche Examples

  • Starting an online business
  • How to build and grow a blog
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Copywriting
  • Make money with online surveys
  • Investing
  • Forex trading
  • Insurance
  • How to manage your finances
  • Sensible spending
  • DIY Accounting and budgeting

Self-Help Niche

Most people have a strong desire to improve themselves in some way. Whether it’s a need to feel more confident in social situations, become more focused and productive, or deepening their spirituality.

If you go to any good book store, you will see there are lots of books on all kinds of self-help topics, some of which may surprise you.

If you can help a person evolve in an area of life where they are struggling then they will happily throw money at you to help them get there.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to be the next Wim Hoff, Ben Green, or Tony Robbins to be successful in this space.

You also don’t need to have any official credentials to help people in a lot of sub-niches in the self-help space.

You just need to understand your topic well, and be able to help people to get results.

Self-Help Sub-Niche Examples

  • How to improve confidence
  • Public speaking
  • Productivity
  • Flow state
  • Speed reading
  • Speed learning
  • Improve memory
  • How to be happier
  • OCD help
  • Anger management
  • Anxiety
  • Astrology
  • Numerology
  • Survival
  • Martial Arts
  • Street combat
  • Self-defense
  • Dancing
  • How to learn a language
  • How to plan an instrument – guitar/drums, piano, etc
  • Parenting
  • Addictions – ie stop smoking, etc

Technology Niche

Whether you like it or not, we live in a technological age with new tech coming out almost every week. Technology is advancing rapidly, and both the general public and businesses need to use a lot of it.

While a lot of sub-niches in the tech space are competitive, there is a huge range of product categories that you can blog about.

Bloggers in this space help people to use, understand and get more out of the tech they promote. And, of course, they will also help you to find the best product for your specific needs. These bloggers primarily monetise their blog through affiliate links when they review and recommend products in their space.

Some tech bloggers focus on reviewing physical products like cell phones, computers and TV’s, while others blog about software.

There’s lots of money to be made here, especially if you are reviewing software as a service (SaaS). A lot of SaaS companies have high ticket affiliate programs because they have smaller margins.

Also, a lot of SaaS companies that sell their products on a recurring monthly or yearly billing basis also pay recurring affiliate commissions, too. This is a great way to build up a solid, reliable income through affiliate marketing.

Technology Sub-Niche Examples

  • Cell phone reviews
  • Laptops and computers
  • Marketing software
  • Web hosting
  • Gadgets
  • Gaming
  • Android/Apple apps

Recreation Niche

We all love to chill out and spend time doing things we love. Since people will always have this need, the recreation niche is also an evergreen niche.

While some recreational activities are passing fads, some have and will surely stand the test of time. When it comes to blogging though, now every evergreen recreational activity will be profitable.

For example, golf is a great niche and there’s some good money to be made there by recommending all the products that a golfer would be interested in. However, I doubt you’d make very much money by ruining a chess blog, although chess is definitely an evergreen game.

With that said, here are some evergreen recreational sub-niches that should also pay you good money.

Recreation Sub-Niche Examples

  • How to play guitar
  • Golf
  • Motoring
  • Motorbiking
  • Camping
  • RV and motor homes
  • Boating
  • Dog training
  • Cycling

Final Thoughts

Generally speaking, most niches will fit into the 6 top-level evergreen niches – health, wealth, relationships, self-help, technology and recreation.

There is an absolute ton of opportunity out there, and a lot of sub-niches that you can get into to make a lot of money. However, there is not money to be made in every niche. Since running a blog takes time and often also money, how much income you can generate from the niche needs to be an important part of your vetting process.

How To Build An Email List – A Quick Start-Guide

a woman learning how to build an email list for affiliate marketing

Email marketing is an essential part of running an effective business online. If you aren’t currently using it then you’re certainly missing a trick – and potentially also missing out on a lot of money.

It can seem daunting to think about building an email list but it is a lot easier than you might think.

Both businesses and bloggers need to harness the power of email; despite claims that this form of marketing is past its prime, it’s still a key part of online marketing strategy.

5 Important Reasons To Build a List

  1. When you build and nurture an email list you are building a steady and reliable source of hot traffic that will be an asset to your business for years.
  2. If you decide to sell your business at any point in the future, having an active email list greatly increases the value of your business
  3. Cost – compared to other forms of marketing like direct mailshots, you can get started and set up an ongoing email marketing campaign with platforms like Aweber or ActiveCampaign for very little money.
  4. Gets those leads – no matter what industry or niche you’re working in, email marketing only requires a simple opt-in to get started. If someone is willing to at least look at what you are saying, then chances are they’ll also be interested in opt-in to receive free info, a giveaway offer, or a special discount from you.
  5. Mobile users – nowadays most people browse the internet via mobile. Studies have shown that the average mobile user now engages with email more than ever before.

Email marketing is alive and well and is the key to grabbing your audience before your competitors do.

Here’s a four-step approach to help you build your email list. This method also works well if you want to know how to build an email list for affiliate marketing.

How To Get Started Building Your Email List

Email marketing is something that is seen as a huge challenge for people just starting out.

If you doubt how effective email marketing is then you’ll need to shift your perspective on this first.

When Facebook bought WhatsApp for $21.8 billion, it was the user base ie the list that Zuckerburg was interested in.

All successful businesses today build an email list or a user base. While most of us don’t operate on the same level as Mark Zuckerburg, this is still applicable to every business.

Check out your competitors – what are they doing to grow their email marketing lists?

Do they have an opt-in form on their landing page?

Are they directing people to opt-in for free offers via their YouTube videos and social media posts?

What sort of marketing are they sending out?

Sign up for it and find out.

When you read their emails, if any, in particular, grab your attention, save them to a dedicated folder in your email account and collect some examples that you can use as templates when you start to form your own messages.

Don’t rip off their emails or copy them completely, but study them to see how they’re structured, what kind of message they are communicating. If the email is leading the reader to an offer, notice how they’re doing it.

Effective email marketing relies on well-known psychological triggers. However, you don’t need to spend years to become a professional copywriter.

I highly recommend grabbing a copy of a book called Copywriting Secrets. The book is currently being offered for free here, you just pay the shipping.

Considering it’s being given away for free, I was surprised at just how good this book is for teaching you effective copywriting techniques that are easy to apply.

So, to get a good email marketing campaign off the ground you just need to follow a few simple steps.

4 Simple Steps To Build Your List

Choosing The Right Traffic Source

When looking at driving customers to your email list you have to make the decision of whether to go for free or paid for traffic.

Each option has its advantages and disadvantages to consider:

Paid Traffic

Paid traffic mainly involves paying for ads. There are quite a few forms this can take, but some of the most common are running PPC campaigns on Google, Facebook, and other social platforms, paying for ads on YouTube and paying for banner ads on other people’s websites.

Paid traffic has a big advantage in terms of speed – you don’t need to wait for a slow trickle of traffic, it tends to arrive all in one surge if you run a good campaign.

This can be appealing when starting from scratch when you don’t have the time or the patience to sit and wait for a list to develop organically.

The main disadvantage is, of course, cost.

Paid traffic can prove expensive and like with anything, the traffic doesn’t mean that every opt-in will convert to a sale.

Running new ads takes time as well as budget, so these things need to be weighed up against the potential advantages.

As simple as it sounds, there is a skill to paid traffic.

Unfortunately, a lot of newbie marketers are attracted to the allure of getting a quick ROI but instead end up burning through a lot of money.

If you know what you’re doing when it comes to paid traffic and you have the budget then this will certainly make sense to use this traffic source.

If you’ve never run paid ads before and you don’t know how well your funnel will convert then you’re probably better off starting with free traffic. However, if you really want to go the paid route then I highly recommend learning how to do it properly from someone with experience and a good track record before jumping in feet first.

Another effective way to grow your email list with paid traffic is through solo ads.

Solo ads are basically when you contact a person in your niche who already has a large list. You then pay them to email your landing page with your free lead magnet to their list.

While this can be a good way to build your list if you find a good vendor, you also need to bear in mind that, if the people on the vendor’s list don’t know you then they’ll only be opting in to receive your free offer.

The key then, to turn these subscribers into your fans is to have a good follow-up sequence that nurtures your subscribers and offers them a lot of value over time, which you should be doing anyway.

Free Traffic

Free traffic is the organic traffic you get from the time spent putting out a lot of good quality content.

This content can be in the form of blog posts, videos, podcasts, and social media posts.

While paid traffic is a lot quicker, free traffic often is of higher value because those people are actively engaging with you. After all, they like your content.

Free traffic does not cost you money but it does cost you time.

For traffic to build organically it can take a while especially if there is no one else pushing people to subscribe.

So while having a slow steady trickle of new organic leads is what you’re aiming for, it is not going to happen quickly, certainly not overnight.

If you decide to go the free traffic route then it’s also highly advisable to choose just one source first. Once that source is well established then you can think about building a new traffic source.

If you particularly enjoy reading and writing then start a blog.

If you don’t like reading but you love watching videos or listening to podcasts then think about establishing your first traffic source on YouTube or one of the popular podcast platforms.

If you don’t like any of those things but you enjoy networking with people then consider starting a Facebook group where you can build an audience.

Ultimately, it is best to use a combination of both paid and free traffic so you can strategically build your lists. However, your choices will depend on the product you’re selling, the niche you’re working in and, of course, your skill level as a marketer.

If you have a solid on-site marketing funnel and some financial back up then starting with some paid traffic might be the way forward. You will then rely on the quality of your marketing to drive in both paid and organic subscribers over time.

Whatever you choose – paid or organic – you will need to set up an email opt-in funnel.

This is also a lot easier than it sounds!

Create an Email Opt-in Funnel

There are several ways you can go about this and there are a number of tools you can use to get this done.

How you go about it will also depend on your traffic source, which is why I spent more time on it in the section above.

Option If You Have a Blog

If you’re a blogger and already have your blog set up then the simplest way is to use a tool like OptinMonster or ThriveLeads to collect email subscribers and add them to your list.

With these tools, you can build a simple opt-in form that offers your lead magnet to your site visitors in exchange for their email.

Two great ways to use these tools on your site that I’ve had success with are by using popups and doing content upgrades in posts.

Option If You Don’t Have a Blog

If you don’t have a website, you hate blogging and you have no desire at all to build a site then don’t worry, you don’t need one to build a list.

All you need is a landing page where you can direct traffic to, and an autoresponder to collect your emails.

While there are quite a few landing page builders out there, the best one I’ve used so far is GrooveFunnels.

Their landing page builder, known as GroovePages, is very easy to use and it even comes with a large number of templates ready to go.

All you need to do is choose one and customize it to get it how you want, which is very easy to do.

If you want to know more about this platform then you can read my in-depth GrooveFunnels review here.

Impressively, this page builder even has a free plan that is comparable to the ClickFunnels standard plan, which includes GroovePages and GrooveSell completely free for life.

You can get a free GroovePages and GrooveSell account here.

Connect An Autoresponder

So whichever method you’re going with above, you’ll then need to connect your opt-in form to an autoresponder.

An autoresponder is a service you will need to use to collect and store your email list. It is also the place where you will run your email campaigns.

Through your autoresponder, you can create automated email campaigns that will send emails to your subscribers for you at the time intervals you set.

While it can take a bit of time initially writing out a few emails, once you have it set up, it will run on autopilot for you, which will save you a lot of time moving forward.

If you don’t want to write the emails yourself then you can do one of the following:

See also: More productivity hacks for solopreneurs

My favorite two autoresponders for both newbies and experienced marketers are Aweber and GetResponse.

Both are newbie and affiliate-friendly, however, I’d say Aweber is probably the easier one to use. I also like Aweber’s simple “how-to” videos that show you how to get everything set up step-by-step.

Aweber is also affiliate marketing friendly so if affiliate marketing is your main business model then I’d recommend using these guys, especially if you’re a newbie.

ActiveCampaign is also a good choice, however, they are not very affiliate-friendly. They do allow affiliate marketers to use their platform but they are much more strict when it comes to affiliate marketing.

For example, they don’t like you to put affiliate links directly in your email content, but with Aweber, you can do this. With ActiveCampaign, you will first need to create bridge pages to direct people to first that will then lead to the affiliate offer you are promoting.

This is one reason I’d recommend Aweber over ActiveCampaign for newbie affiliate marketers.

If you want more options or if you’re already using an autoresponder but you’d like to switch to a different one, then check out my article on the best autoresponders to choose from.

So, once you’ve got your landing page set up with your opt-in form and you’re connected to your autoresponder, you’re ready to start bringing the traffic.

Offer Value

Most people will want something of real value if they are going to opt-in to your email list.

We’re all constantly receiving marketing messages nowadays. The amount of time and attention we spend on each is limited so you need to try to make yours stand out.

Making them a valuable offer is an important key to doing this.

But what can you offer?

Where will that value come from?

People love getting free stuff, especially if it’s got high perceived value.

So, you can use freebies to incentivize your target audience to opt into your list.

Of course, your offer will relate directly to your niche, but some ideas are:

Digital products – this is my personal favorite. Things like eBooks, a video that shows them how to do something, an audio recording that tells them something valuable or other digital information that you can create are great freebies.

Samples and trials – if you have a product or service then you can give your potential customer a chance to try you out. This does take a little effort especially if you have a physical product that needs to be shipped. But by showing confidence in your product can help you to seal the deal.

Physical freebies – Offering a free copy of a book in return for some personal info and a postage and packing fee is a good example of this.

If you don’t have time to create a freebie offer then there are other things you can do.

Here are two options:

  • You can buy the rights to an ebook or a digital course that you can give away from somewhere like plr.me or the plrstore.com
  • You can pay someone on upwork.com to create something bespoke for you

When it comes to getting your subscribers, there are also other ways to increase the chances of them taking action and opting in.

A lot of marketing relates directly to psychology so it is worth considering some of the following methods that you can leverage to encourage your subscribers.

Some of the most effective techniques include:

Social Proof – success stories, testimonials, and reviews show that others have benefited from your product or service.

Exclusivity – makes your subscribers feel that you are giving them something that no one else has and are providing unique and exclusive information.

Urgency – Urge them to act quickly by emphasizing how wasting time or money can be detrimental to them. Tools like ThriveLeads, OptinMonster, and ClickFunnels give you the ability to add countdown timers to your forms and landing pages, which can encourage people to take action now.

4. Use Email To Continue To Build Your Relationship

To have the most success with your email campaigns you need to keep communicating with your customers and try to build a good positive relationship over time. This can’t be done with one-off messages.

Autoresponders are great to automate the whole process and will send out emails for you at the time intervals you set.

But what should you be emailing your list about..?

Newbies often make the mistake of just bombarding their list with offers regularly. This is not an effective strategy as your subscribers will feel like you’re only interested in selling them something.

Doing this will get a lot of people to unsubscribe

Yes, you can and should send them offers that they will likely be interested in, but that’s not the only thing you should be emailing them about.

A more effective strategy is to offer a lot of valuable help and information, especially in your first several emails. Then, when you do present them with an offer they will be much more likely to be receptive to it.

Here are a few things you can email them about.

Useful info – add links in your emails to blog posts or other useful info that could help them out.

Storytelling – you can tell them about your own story and how you grew your business as well as any other stories that they may relate to.

Questions – ask them questions about what they’re struggling with or share some insightful Q&A’s you had with other subscribers (don’t mention the person’s name you had the Q&A with unless they’ve permitted you to include it)

Be creative but keep it short and sweet.

Be personable in your messages and write like you’re talking to a friend.

If you’re collecting their name when they first subscribe, then personalize the emails by putting their name in the subject line and at the start of the email.

When you do present an offer, use calls to action and make sure the link goes to the right landing page. It’s wise to send yourself a test email to make sure everything’s working properly before sending it out for real.

Final Thoughts

Email traffic is highly targeted and so it makes sense that it’s also highly valuable!

It’s wise to get started building your list sooner rather than later. Although it can seem intimidating at first, it’s a lot easier than most people think to get it all set up.

Don’t just spam your list with a load of offers or you’ll burn your list out pretty quickly.

Nurture your list, treat them well and give them loads of valuable info for free. Build rapport with them and get them to look forward to opening your emails.

Then, when you do send your offers you’ll have a much better conversion rate and you won’t piss off your subscribers.

Best Affiliate Programs For Beginners

Affiliate programs for beginners - man on a laptop looking at networks

If you’re just getting started with affiliate marketing then, of course, your journey will come with specific challenges.

Knowing exactly which are the best affiliate programs for beginners is one of those challenges.

Signing up for the wrong programs could cause a significant setback in your affiliate career.

However, if you get this right from the beginning then, not only can you start to earn your first commissions a lot sooner, it can also lay a solid foundation for your entire career.

I have worked with some great affiliate networks during my 8+ years in this game so far. But I have also signed up with one or two terrible ones and wasted time too.

In this article I am going to tell you about

8 Things That Make an Affiliate Program Good For Beginners

You might be wondering what exactly makes a network a good affiliate program for beginners to start with.

There are a few key things to look for. Here’s a breakdown for you:

  • Minimal entry requirements
  • Simple or no vetting process
  • Easy to use
  • Products with good commission %
  • Easy to promote products
  • Good product variety
  • Low payout threshold
  • Regular payouts

Choosing a network that fulfills all or most of the above will help you to get started and move in the right direction quickly.

Basically, what you want from a beginner-friendly network are things that will make your life easier. You want a good product range across multiple niches, and a simple to use platform.

Working with a network that also provides you with detailed and easy to use metrics is a huge plus.

If you can easily track which campaigns are working the best for you then you will not need to pay for a 3rd party tracking tool like ClickMagick, at least until later when you will want to access more advanced tracking features.

If you can clearly see which campaigns are working the best then you will be able to put more of your efforts into those areas and drop the ones that are not performing well.

Earning your first commissions is very exciting, but if you have to wait a long time to receive a payout, or if you need to reach a high minimum payment threshold then this can also become de-motivating for beginners.

So, because of this I would also recommend you to start working with a network that has a low payment threshold and pays out regularly.

It’s also important to know that some platforms prefer to work with, or only work with intermediate or advanced marketers. So don’t waste your time trying to sign up with those guys until you have some experience under your belt.

To help you get started quickly with the best chance of success, here are my top 6 affiliate programs for beginners.

Affiliate Networks Vs Private Programs

When you start promoting affiliate offers you will soon realise that you can either sign up to affiliate networks or apply directly to private affiliate programs, or both.

A network (like ClickBank, ShareASale etc, see below) is a place where you can go to sign up, and then get access to promote all kinds of different products across a range of niches that they offer.

If you join a private affiliate program then you need to go directly to the product website and sign up with them.

One of the biggest advantages of joining a network is that you get access to a wider range or products without needing to sign up for multiple affiliate accounts.

In many cases, if the network has approved you to join their affiliate program then you will often be approved automatically to promote most, if not all of the products on the network.

But not always.

With some networks, you will also need to apply to individual vendors on the network, as you will soon discover later on in this article.

So overall, joining a network is usually the best way to go for beginner affiliate marketers.

A common advantage of signing up to a private affiliate program that is not an any network is that often those programs can pay really good commissions.

But again, not always.

Next, I am going to tell you about the best affiliate networks for beginners.

After that, keep reading if you also want to know about some of the best stand-alone affiliate programs where even newbies can make really decent money.

Consider Your Traffic Source

Something that is often overlooked when it comes to choosing an affiliate program is which traffic source you will be using to drive the majority of your traffic.

Why is this important?

While you can promote most affiliate products on most platforms, some traffic sources like Pinterest will be especially good for certain products, but not good for others.

Pinterest is a very visual platform, so niches and products that have a strong visual component do especially well on this platform.

If you are thinking to use Pinterest as your main source of traffic then here are some great affiliate programs for Pinterest.

6 Best Affiliate Networks For Beginners

Here are my top 6 affiliate networks for beginners.

  • ClickBank
  • ShareASale
  • CommissionJunction
  • FlexOffers
  • Rakuten
  • Impact

ClickBank

The ClickBank homepage

With over 17 years in the business, ClickBank is a powerhouse for both novice and advanced affiliate marketers.

This network caters to smaller businesses and provides a wide range of products that are unique to the network.

Each product is listed with some performance metrics so you can get an idea of how well the products are selling. You can also take a look at the landing pages of the products and any promotional materials that they might have for you to use.

If you own a product and want to sell it on ClickBank then you’d sign up as a Vendor. However, by joining the network as an affiliate, you can then search the ClickBank marketplace and look through a huge range of products that have been added to the network by the vendors.

Another exciting aspect is that ClickBank specializes in digital products, such as eBooks, video courses, and some software. However, they now also have some physical products on their marketplace, including supplements.

Personally, I really like promoting digital products because the commission percentage is considerably higher than physical products, in most cases. This is because digital product owners do not have the margins to deal with that physical product owners have to allow for.

As an example, you will typically find the commission percentage that you will earn per sale for most digital products on ClickBank to be somewhere between 50-75%.

Having said this, I have personally earned as much as 90% per sale on some products. This is because the product owner then makes most of their money on the back-end sales.

That said, it can be quite the lucrative program.

There’s a minimum payment threshold of $10 on this network, and they pay out weekly, holding two weeks in arrears to allow for refunds.

ClickBank is an easy network to join with virtually no vetting process.

They basically accept everyone.

You don’t even need to show them you have a website to get started, unlike most affiliate programs you will come across. This is especially helpful for beginners who are looking to get started.

If you don’t have a website yet then here’s a strategy you can use to make money without a blog.

If there’s one downside to ClickBank, it’s the reputation of the products. Not all digital products are as well-known as some that you might find on other networks. Some are actually pretty terrible, however, I would say the majority of the products that I have seen on this network are good.

If you decide to use ClickBank, you will need to do a fair amount of research to find something easy for you to promote and sell.

However, with over six million products available on the platform, there certainly is plenty of opportunity here.

If you are new to affiliate marketing then I recommend you check out my comprehensive guide here on ClickBank for beginners. In this article, I give a step-by-step blueprint to start making money with ClickBank.

Sign-up URL: ClickBank

ClickBank Pros:

  • Low payment threshold
  • Good commission range
  • Simple joining process
  • No vetting process
  • Easy user interface
  • Weekly payouts

ClickBank Cons:

  • Not all products are high-quality or popular

ShareASale

The ShareaSale affiliate network

ShareASale is another great platform for both new and experienced affiliates and houses over 1,000 merchants that you can work with.

ShareASale provides a range of products that includes physical goods and digital products or services.

There is a simple vetting process when you join this network, and you will usually hear back within a few days if you’ve been accepted.

They are a little more strict than ClickBank, and they do want to see that you have at the very least some kind of website or landing page that looks good, and is relevant to at least one of the niches that ShareASale trade in.

That being said, you don’t need anything fancy, just something that doesn’t look shite.

It’s important to know that once you’re accepted onto the ShareASale network, that doesn’t mean that you will be able to promote any product you like.

Many product owners listed on ShareASale will pre-approve you to promote them if ShareASales has already accepted you. However, there are also many other products listed on this network that are not pre-approved.

In this case, you’ll need to reach out to those individual product owners through the ShareASale interface to request access to promote them. They will usually want to take a look at your website to make sure it’s a good fit, and then they will either accept or deny you.

If they deny you, don’t worry. Just search for other suitable products to promote on the ShareASale marketplace.

What I particularly like about ShareASale is that there are a number of very good, and even well-known brands on this network and quite a number of high-ticket affiliate offers too!

ShareASale also provides you with pretty good metrics so you can monitor how well your campaigns are going.

I also particularly like that, in most cases, ShareASale will show you which of your URL’s have referred each sale.

At the moment, ShareASale doesn’t support PayPal payments. This may inconvenience some users, however, there are a number of payment alternatives available, including direct bank transfer, so I really don’t think it’s a problem.

Sign-up URL: Shareasale

Shareasale Pros:

  • Low payment threshold
  • Minimal joining requirements
  • Some high-quality brands
  • Some high-ticket products
  • Detailed reports

Shareasale Cons:

  • No PayPal support
  • Commissions vary a lot

CommissionJunction

CommissionJunction program

CommisionJunction, also known as CJ Affiliate, started back in 2002. It’s a platform dedicated to working with big brand names.

You may recognize some of the companies that work with the network: Verizon, UnderArmor, Samsung, Sonos, Namecheap, etc.

If you want to start your affiliate marketing venture by targeting popular niches, CJ Affiliate is one of the top choices. However, if you’re thinking of going down this route then know you’ll likely be up against some stiff competition. If you already have an audience for these types of products then great.

If not then I’d recommend you to start with something easier.

CJ is not a difficult platform to join, and they usually seem to accept most affiliates. Having said this, you will also then need to apply to specific product vendors on the network, similar to ShareASale.

CJ offer the widest and most detailed amount of metrics that I have so far seen on an affiliate network.

While this should be a benefit to you, it’s rather complex and does actually have a learning curve all of its own, which I don’t think is very helpful for beginners.

CJ also caters to both pros and novice affiliates, so advanced users will benefit more from the superior metrics that they offer.

With that in mind, this network suits a specific type of beginner; those that already have some experience in this field. At least three months.

Sign-up URL: CommissionJunction

CJ Pros:

  • Direct display advertising
  • Limits the guesswork in finding merchants
  • Modern UI
  • A great portfolio of big-name brands

CJ Cons:

  • A number of low paying offers
  • Higher learning curve and payment threshold

FlexOffers

FlexOffers website

FlexOffers is a bit of an unusual one in that it signs up to the product owner’s affiliate programs and then Flex allows you to use its affiliate links to promote the products.

The up-side of this is that you only need to get approved by FlexOffers to be able to promote a lot of programs because FlexOffers will be doing all the signing up to individual merchants’ affiliate programs for you.

On the downside, however, in so doing, FlexOffers will take a cut of your affiliate commissions.

Basically, they act as the middle man between you and the product owner. This is not a bad thing if you’re a newbie affiliate marketer though so don’t let it put you off. Once you’re approved by FlexOffers you’ll have access to a wide range of products you can promote.

FlexOffers is also one of the largest networks out there, with over 12,000 product owners registered on their system.

Be aware that the signup process can be a bit lengthy. This is because they will essentially be allowing you to use their affiliate links, so they would be accountable for your actions. Because of this, they can be a bit picky when it comes to new affiliates.

It has a low payment threshold of $50, and pays out to affiliates on a monthly basis. It’s important to be aware though, that FlexOffers pays on a net 60 terms basis.

Basically, this means you’ll receive your commissions after a 60 day period. This is normal for most affiliate programs and is nothing to worry about. The network just needs to allow enough time to cover their back in case of refunds.

Granted, this payout process isn’t as sweet as some of the other networks, but still, it isn’t bad.

Sign-up URL: FlexOffers

FlexOffers Pros:

  • Provides a lot of assistance
  • Beginner-specific program available
  • Decent product range
  • Easy-to-use platform

FlexOffers Cons:

  • Lower than average commissions

Rakuten

Rakuten is not usually the first one most people think of when it comes to affiliate programs. However, it’s one of the biggest players in the industry, and is actually an award-winning network.

It holds a technological edge over its competitors due to spending more on development. It even includes an automatic ad rotation perk that helps affiliates promote more products.

Because the platform offers a lot, it’s not exactly the easiest to use. However, it’s straightforward enough to learn and provides plenty of tools for targeted advertising.

Rakuten have some pretty big brands on their network, so they like to pay close attention to the affiliates joining their network. If your website only has a trickle of traffic then you may find it tough getting accepted.

They also have some strict rules and may shut you down quickly if you violate them, so be warned.

A big advantage of joining Rakuten is its advertisers and partners. The platform works with big names such as Ray-Ban, JanSport, Virgin – to name but a few.

A couple of things I do like about Rakuten is the wide variety of physical products that they have, and their Net 30 terms payout structure.

The commission payout threshold is also pretty low, starting at $50.

Sign-up URL: Rakuten

Rakuten Pros:

  • Innovative tools
  • Popular brands and products
  • Among the oldest and most reputable networks
  • Offers many targeted advertising tools

Rakuten Cons:

  • Strict vetting process
  • Doesn’t provide as many metrics as other platforms

Impact

The Impact Radius network

With over a decade’s worth of experience, Impact is still among the baby of affiliate networks. However, the people that founded it had prior experience with CommissionJunction, LeadPoint and Savings.com, so they definitely know what they’re doing.

This helped cement Impact as one of the most reputable affiliate marketing programs, despite not being among one of the oldest networks.

The platform has over 1,000 merchants who offer a superior range of products. It’s one of the best affiliate programs for beginners that haven’t found a preferred niche yet.

Their product range is extensive, covering food and drink, arts, tourism, clothing, and even technology.

Bear in mind, joining this platform may take a while. The verification process is lengthy and, in some cases, may even include a phone call, although that didn’t happen to me.

The good news is that these measures would put off the more nefarious affiliates from trying to join, and will leave you more room to promote without worrying too much about commission poaching and other underhanded tactics that does unfortunately happen in the industry.

So, it’s actually a good thing that not everyone makes it onto the platform. This helps to maintain the network’s reputable and trustworthy status.

If merchants see that the quality of affiliate marketers isn’t diluted, they’re less likely to leave.

By comparison, big brands can come and go, even on platforms like Rakuten. It doesn’t happen nearly as often with Impact, which achieved a higher status.

The minimum payment threshold of $25 offers some incentive too. It’s a midrange threshold and suitable enough for most beginners.

Some affiliate marketing networks had their fair share of ups and downs. Impact is among the few consistently keeping an ascending trend in popularity and reliability.

Sign-up URL: Impact

Impact Pros:

  • High-quality products
  • Experienced founders
  • Very trustworthy platform with merchants
  • Midrange payment threshold

Cons:

  • Can take longer to join
  • Doesn’t cater to a wide range of niches

4 Best Affiliate Programs For Beginners

GrooveFunnels Affiliate Program

One of my favorite affiliate programs for people who are just starting out as an affiliate is GrooveFunnels.

GrooveFunnels is an all-in-one marketing and business tool suite that can help you to build, launch, and scale an online business.

Here are some of the main tools that you can promote to your audience if you sign up with GrooveFunnels:

  • Funnel builder
  • Landing page builder
  • Website builder
  • Email autoresponder
  • Hosted webinars
  • Hosted videos
  • Online shopping cart

Here are the reasons why I link this program for beginners:

They Have a Free Plan

GrooveFunnels is easy to promote for 4 reasons – Firstly, they offer a free plan, but their paid plans are so good that around 20% of people who sign up for a free account usually upgrade to a paid plan.

As you can imagine, it’s much easier to promote a free product than a monthly subscription service.

They Offer Recurring Commissions

Secondly, Groove’s paid plans are subscription based, and their affiliate program is a recurring monthly commission.

This means that when you refer someone who upgrades to a paid plan, they will be billed every month, and you will earn a sweet 20-40% commission on their purchase each and every month they remain a Groove user.

If this concept interests you then I recommend you also read my article on the best recurring affiliate programs here.

Tier-2 Commissions

Thirdly, GrooveFunnels also has a tier-2 program. This means that you can earn an additional 5-10% each month from all of the people who have signed up to use the platform through someone that you have signed up directly.

Not Saturated, Yet

And the fourth reason why I really like this program for newbies is that it’s very new and, and for the moment at least, there’s not a lot of competition when it comes to promoting it.

If you want more info about this program then you can read more about becoming a GrooveFunnels affiliate here or you can sign up to promote them here.

ClickFunnels Affiliate Program

ClickFunnels have been around for a while so there’s a lot more competition to promote this product that GrooveFunnels, but there are still several reasons why you can make some really good money promoting them.

Recurring Commissions

ClickFunnels also offers recurring monthly commission payments to their affiliates when they promote their core software product, ClickFunnels.

Very High Converting Offers

ClickFunnels also has a number of other highly popular, and very high converting products that you can promote and earn some great commissions.

Several Low Front-End Offers

They also have several low-cost front-end products that you can promote, such as the DotCom Secrets Book, Expert Secrets, and the Traffic Secrets Book.

When someone buys one of these books all they pay is for the shipping and handling, so it’s a pretty easy sell for you.

However, the ClickFunnels team will then continue to market more expensive products to these folks over time. When they buy something else further down the line, you get paid. So they essentially do all the selling for you once you’ve signed them up to for one of the book offers.

ClickFunnels is a great company, with decent products, and an attractive affiliate program. However, it’s also important to know that a number of CF affiliates have reported that affiliate tracking can be off at times.

You can join the ClickFunnels affiliate program here.

ChemiCloud Affiliate Program

ChemiCloud is a very good web hosting platform with extremely reasonable rates.

I have been a customer of theirs for several years now for one of my small niche websites so I can certainly attest to how good their hosting service is.

And, of course, like pretty much every web hosting company out there, they have an affiliate program.

Here are the reasons why I like promoting ChemiCloud in particular:

  • Commissions start at $50 per sale
  • Very good service so you can feel good about promoting them
  • Very reasonably prices to easier to promote
  • After you’ve referred just 8 customers your commission gets bumper up to $75

You can find out more about the ChemiCloud affiliate program here.

ClickMagick Affiliate Program

ClickMagick is a tool that pretty much every marketer and business owner online can benefit from.

Using ClickMagick has also helped you to earn more money as it will help you to know exactly which campaigns are performing the best for you, and which ones you should drop.

The ClickMagick team have recently put a lot of attention into their affiliate program, and since they have started doing that, I have noticed an increase in sign-ups and a better customer retention rate.

Here are a few reasons why I think ClickMagick is a good affiliate program for beginners:

  • Very useful product
  • Recurring monthly commissions – 30%
  • Good customer retention rate

You can find out about the ClickMagick affiliate program here.

Final Thoughts – Which Is The Best Affiliate Program For Beginners?

In my opinion, ClickBank is the best affiliate program for beginners, for several reasons.

However, picking just one program and calling it the overall ‘best for newbies’ is tough because there are actually several great programs you can work with.

Remember that the goal here is to offer you a recommendation on how to get started. Once your business grows, and you gain experience, you can experiment with other platforms.

That’s what I did, and ClickBank was also the first network that I made money with.

ClickBank is easy to join and there is no vetting process, so you can get started straight away looking for products to promote.

While there are some pretty bad products on ClickBank, I would say the majority of them are decent, at least in the niches that I’ve worked in. CB also covers a wide variety of niches, and a huge range of products.

ClickBank has a very low payment threshold of just $10, so you can start to receive payouts fairly soon once you’ve made a few sales. They also have a simple user interface, great reporting features, and their hoplink tracking is also very good.

Since most products on the ClickBank network are digital products, they tend to have a much higher commission % compared to networks that offer physical products.

If you’re not sold on ClickBank then no worries. All of the networks in this article are great for beginners to sign up with, especially Shareasale, as this would be my very close second choice for newbies.

Whichever affiliate program you choose to start with, make sure you choose good products to promote and stay consistent with your promotional activities.

Once you’ve got your teeth into some of these platforms and started making money, come back here and check out my article on the best high ticket affiliate programs.

ThriveCart vs SamCart – Which Is Best In 2021?

ThriveCart vs SamCart comparison

If you run an online business, then the chances are you’ll need some kind of shopping cart or landing page creator.

Having the right platform for your business can help you to grow your audience amd make a lot more sales.

Today’s comparison between ThriveCart vs SamCart will look at two platforms that promise to do exactly that.

ThriveCart vs SamCart TL;DR Overview

Here are the main differences between ThriveCart and SamCart:

  • SamCart’s checkouts look a little more modern compared to ThriveCart
  • SamCart has a better product delivery process
  • SamCart offers a free trial, whereas ThriveCart doesn’t
  • SamCart has more templates than ThriveCart
  • SamCart has been around longer
  • ThriveCart has two-lifetime deals, whereas, with SamCart, you’ll have to pay monthly
  • ThriveCart lets you embed your checkouts anywhere, whereas SamCart doesn’t
  • ThriveCart has a video cart feature, while SamCart doesn’t
  • ThriveCart has a few more additional sales options, like digital sales tax calculations, mobile payment options, and two-step cart options

As you can see, they both have their differences, and choosing between them can be quite hard. That’s why I’ll explain both of their features in more detail so that you can choose between them.

I saw people mention in Facebook groups that SamCart doesn’t have Google and Apple Pay. However, this is NOT TRUE, as it does have them as payment options for your customers.

What Is ThriveCart?

ThriveCart homepage

ThriveCart is a SaaS tool that launched on 1st February 2016. The platform allows you to easily create shopping carts that you can use to sell your products. It promises to increase conversions and backs this with its own money-back guarantee.

Besides merely having the usual shopping cart features that you’d expect, ThriveCart also has some extra innovative features, too. One of these is the ability to embed your carts anywhere on other platforms, which I thought was pretty cool.

For example, if you have a WordPress blog then you can create a shopping cart using thriveCart and then embed it into a page on your blog. That’s pretty useful!

As the product is still in the early stages, it has some pretty sweet lifetime deals available. But I’ll run you through those a little later on.

ThriveCart Pros

  • Affordable lifetime pricing
  • Great set of features
  • Good support
  • Money-back Guarantee

ThriveCart Cons

  • Templates aren’t the best, and there’s not a lot of them
  • A little harder to use than SamCart

What Is SamCart

SamCart homepage

SamCart is a little more known than ThriveCart because it has been around longer. SamCart was co-founded by brothers, Brian and Scott Moran in 2014. Since then SamCart has become an industry leader in the shopping cart market, and for good reason.

It’s one of the most known shopping cart SaaS tools, and its users love it, especially for its ease of use. SamCart offers similar features to ThriveCart, but with a few key differences.

Since it’s been around longer and is fully established, SamCart does not offer a lifetime deal. Fortunately, the monthly pricing for SamCart is reasonable compared to its competitors.

If SamCart can significantly impact your conversions, then the price is still more than worth it. But, let’s look at SamCart’s features first before we get into the pricing. If you can’t wait then feel free to skip ahead to the pricing section, below.

SamCart Pros

  • Easy to use
  • A good set of features
  • Has a 30-day free Trial
  • Beautiful templates, and there is a lot of them
  • Well established – it has been around for a long time

SamCart Cons

  • Costly compared to ThriveCart
  • Missing some features that ThriveCart has

ThriveCart Features

Now you’ve got a good overview of the two platforms, let’s look at the features they have to offer and see how they compare.

Checkout Builder

The ThriveCart checkout builder has everything you need to create a high-converting offer. It’s straightforward to use, and you can create virtually any type of offer with it.

Some of the offers you can create include:

  • Free & Paid
  • Tripwires
  • Discounts & Coupons
  • Pay what you want (PWYW) checkouts
  • Split-payment plans

1-Click Order Bump

The first feature is a vital one for increasing conversions. The order bump will help you make more money from each visitor because it has the potential to increase your customer’s cart value.

In case you don’t know what it is, an order bump a last minute, impulse offer that you can put in front of your customers at the checkout. The order bump shows up as a little checkbox right on the checkout page that your customer can tick to add to their cart.

IMAGE OF ORDER BUMP

As you can imagine, this can be highly effective, especially when your order bump compliments the original purchase.

Funnel Builder With 1-Click Upsells & Downsells (Post-purchase)

ThriveCart comes with a basic funnel builder that will let you create a page for your checkouts, complete with an upsell, dowensell, and thank you page.

The upsell and downsell pages also help to increase the value of a customer. It does this by presenting the customer with a separate page with an additional offer that they can purchase with one click. This is possible because the customer’s payment information is already saved from the first purchase.

Pretty clever, right?!

The reason this is effective is that once they make the decision, they’ve instantly purchased the offer. This gives them less time to doubt their buying choice while entering their credit card information for a second time.

2 Step Carts

Another feature in ThriveCart that I really like is the 2-step carts. This is basically a checkout where the customer enters their information before the payment for some type of incentive, such as an exclusive deal.

The advantage of this feature is that you can still follow up with the customer, even if they don’t like the deal.

And ultimately, this will lead to more sales because you can recoup some abandoned carts. With the average abandoned cart rates ranging from 68.81% to 74.5%, it’s really important that you have features like this in place.

Split-Testing

ThriveCart lets you split-test all of your carts and funnels. This, combined with the comprehensive analytics, which we’ll talk about in a moment, will give you everything you need to create the highest converting checkout experience possible.

Embed Your Carts Anywhere

This is a ThriveCart that I really like, as it allows you to embed your shopping pretty much anywhere (providing you can paste the code).

So, if you want to display your carts on another page builder or website platform like Wix or WordPress, then you can embed the checkouts over on those platforms.

That’s pretty cool as it means you won’t be locked into the platform, and you can combine the power of ThriveCart with other tools.

Affiliate Center

ThriveCart also has an affiliate center built-in, meaning you can recruit and manage affiliates from your ThriveCart dashboard. I was very impressed with this feature, as it’s more advanced than most other options on the market. Having said that, it’s not surprising that I have come across a lot of companies who are using ThriveCart for their affiliate program.

The ThriveCart affiliate center has all the basics such as, allowing you to create various affiliate programs, setting up custom commissions, hosting affiliate tools, running competitions, etc.

But what I was impressed by was the ability to set up custom bonus pages for your top affiliates, which will help them make more sales. And if they make more sales, you do too.

Intelligent Behavior & Automation Rules

Another area where ThriveCart sets itself apart from many other cart platforms is its intelligent automation features. For example, you can automatically follow up on abandoned carts, or you can chase subscribers that haven’t been paid.

Plus, you can also modify your affiliates’ commission rates based on their refunds or sales. For example, if some affiliates have high refund rates, you could decrease their commission rates. Or, if they made lots of sales, you could increase it.

Subscriptions

Everyone knows how effective subscription-based business models are. The problem is that many platforms don’t allow you to set up monthly billing, or it’s very confusing, at least.

ThriveCart gives you everything you need to set up subscription billing, and it’s also straightforward to implement.

Plus, as already mentioned, you can set up free or paid trials and automatically chase customers for subscriptions that haven’t been paid, thanks to the dunning feature.

Intelligent Business Insights

Finally, ThriveCart comes with intelligent business insights such as analytics, projected sales, and more. Again, this is something that I was very impressed with, as the insights you get are detailed and advanced.

For example, it calculates lifetime value automatically, and you can also see your live traffic, conversions, or projected sales. Besides, you can also add 3rd party tracking codes like Google analytics.

What ThriveCart Has That SamCart Doesn’t Have

Despite ThriveCart being a lot more affordable than other options on the market, it does have some great features that SamCart doesn’t have. These are the features I mean:

2-Step Carts

SamCart doesn’t have this feature, and it would probably be quite hard to get it. If you think 2-step carts will be a key part of your strategy, it may be worth going for ThriveCart.

Embeddable Carts

Again, SamCart does not let you embed your shopping carts. This means the ThriveCart checkouts you create won’t be locked inside the platform. But, with SamCart, if you ever wanted to use the cart anywhere else, you would be locked into it.

Bonuses for Affiliates

Of course, your affiliates can always manually offer bonuses, but it’s not quite the same as having dedicated pages and bonus delivery options that they can use.

SamCart Features

ThriveCart has some pretty good features, so let’s take a look at how SamCart compares to ThriveCart.

Sales Page Design & Templates

SamCart has a feature they call the sales page design. This is basically their page builder, and will let you build funnels similar to ThriveCart.

Here’s what SamCarts sales page builder comes with:

  • Unlimited products
  • Drag & Drop builder
  • Pre-designed templates
  • Localization
  • Digital wallets

In terms of features, it’s very similar to ThriveCart’s checkout builder. However, SamCart doesn’t have the 2-step carts feature that ThriveCart offers. On the other hand, ThriveCart doesn’t have the localization feature offered by SamCart, so you’ll need to weigh up here which feature is more important to you.

In my opinion, SamCart is a little easier to use, and it also has a larger selection of templates to work with. I also found that the templates look more modern than those on the ThriveCart platform.

Templates aren’t necessarily a deal-breaker because you can always create them yourself. But using them does make your work a hell of a lot quicker, easier, and more enjoyable, in my opinion.

However, the difference between the templates on both platforms is quite significant. SamCart even offers industry-specific templates, which is super-helpful, while ThriveCart only has around 10 standard templates in total.

But apart from those few differences, this feature is very similar to ThriveCart’s builder.

Revenue Optimization

Again, this next section of features is very similar to ThriveCart’s. Here’s what you get:

  • One-click upsells
  • Pre-purchase order bumps
  • A/B testing
  • Add to your order (post-purchase)
  • Advanced Reporting
  • Pay What You Want

As we saw earlier, ThriveCart has most of these features too. The only one which is unique to SamCart is the ability to add products post-purchase.

Cart Abandonment

SamCart gives you everything you need to chase after abandoned carts. To do this, you can simply integrate with email marketing software to send a follow-up and try to make the sale. This, in combination with discounts and emails, is very effective.

Subscriptions

SamCart also has everything you need to set up subscription billing. And again, you can be very flexible with it, as you can create a range of payment types, free trials, etc.

You can also automatically chase after unpaid subscriptions using the dunning feature, which will keep billing the customer until the payment goes through. Again, this is pretty much identical to what ThriveCart offers.

Payment Options

SamCart gives you a lot of payment options to create almost any type of offer.

Here are some of the things you can do with SamCart:

  • Free & dollar Trials
  • Split-billing
  • Several payment terms/options

Affiliate Center

Just like ThriveCart, SamCart also has a built-in affiliate center. The only difference between these two affiliate centers is that ThriveCart lets your affiliates have bonus pages, while SamCart doesn’t.

Core Commerce

SamCart has pretty much everything you need for core commerce. It comes with basic support for GDPR, Taxes, and Vat; however, ThriveCarts sales tax collection is a little more automated.

Similar to ThriveCart, SamCart comes with:

  • Coupons & Discounts
  • Custom Fields
  • Partial refunds

Additionally, they both come with a range of integrations, which we’ll take a more detailed look at soon in this article.

What SamCart Has That ThriveCart Does Not Have

SamCart has some great features that ThriveCart doesn’t have. Below, I explain them in more detail.

More Templates

One of the main incentives to go for SamCart over ThriveCart is the templates offered. They look more modern, and there’s a lot more of them.

With ThriveCart, you can build your own sales page, but you don’t have the amount of flexibility other page builders give you. And the templates look a little outdated.

Add To Order (Post Purchase)

SamCart has a feature that lets users add to their order post-purchase. This is possible with ThriveCart too, but it’s not as smooth as it is with SamCart, so it’s worth mentioning here.

Better Interface

The interface inside of SamCart just looks better than ThriveCart’s, in my opinion. This, alongside the templates, is the only complaint I have heard about ThriveCart.

But SamCart is superior in this aspect, and it’s something that they have put a lot of effort into.

Free Trial

With ThriveCart, you won’t be able to test out the platform before purchasing it, which is a bit of a drag. That being said, ThriveCart does have a 30-day money-back guarantee so that you could purchase it, and if you don’t like it, you can get a refund.

SamCart, on the other hand, offers a generous 30-day free trial, which is nice. When you compare this to most other competitors on the market, you will find that the majority of them only offer a 14-day trial, some of which are not even free!

ThriveCart vs SamCart Pricing

As I mentioned earlier, ThriveCart has 2 lifetime deal pricing plans. But keep in mind that you don’t get all features on every plan. This also goes for SamCart too.

Make sure to read the pricing tables below carefully to ensure you know what features you’re getting with each platform.

ThriveCart Cost

As already mentioned earlier, ThriveCart is still in the early stages, and is still in beta. Therefore, it still has some pretty crazy lifetime deals available, which work out to be very affordable compared to SamCart.

Below, I have explained the two current lifetime options. However, it is expected that these two lifetime deals will go away once it has “officially launched”, and will cost somewhere in the region of $99 to $299 per month going forward.

ThriveCarts two main pricing plans are:

  • ThriveCart Lifetime membership $495 lifetime
  • ThriveCart pro lifetime membership $690 lifetime

Features only included in Pro are:

  • Affiliate Center
  • Subscription Saver (Dunning)
  • Automatic Sales Tax Calculation
  • Intelligent Business Projections
  • JV Contracts
  • Advanced User Management
  • Client usage rights (White-labelling)
  • Custom domains
ThriveCart initial pricing

Once you click the button in the above image to sign up for ThriveCart you will be taken to a new page where you will be offered a chance to pay an additional one-time $195 to upgrade to ThriveCart Pro.

Here’s a screenshot of what that looks like:

ThriveCart pro upgrade

So, what do you get for the extra $195 payment? Here’s a recap:

ThriveCart upgrade features

SamCart Cost

SamCart doesn’t have any lifetime deals available. However, it still has some very reasonable plans available, ranging from just $49 to $199 per month.

The only thing I was slightly disappointed about SamCarts pricing is that a lot of the best features like split-testing, affiliate management, etc., are only available in the highest $199 per month plan. Having said that, this is still considerably cheaper than most other competitors in the market.

If you calculate the costs compared to ThriveCart, after a couple of months, you are paying a lot more with SamCart. That’s something to keep in mind if you decide to go with this platform.

Launch $49 Per Month

The launch plan comes with:

Checkout features:

  • No Additional Processing Fees
  • Unlimited Pages & Products
  • Unlimited Templates
  • Drag & Drop Template Builder
  • Full Template Library
  • Advanced Subscriptions
  • Full Email Customizations
  • Custom Domains
  • Digital Product Delivery
  • Coupons & Discounts
  • Smart Pixel Tracking
  • Pay What You Want
  • Sales & VAT Tax Support
  • Free SSL Certificate
  • Apple & Google Pay
  • Custom Thank You Pages
  • SamCart Branding
  • Free & paid trials
  • 1 Admin User
  • Dashboard & Sales Report
  • Zapier Integration
  • Email Integrations
  • Membership Integrations:
  • Email Support (2 Day SLA)
  • Knowledge Base
  • 99.98% Uptime

If you want to see what isn’t in this plan, just look at the two others.

Grow $99 Per Month

Everything in “Launch” plus:

  • No SamCart branding on your pages
  • Custom fields
  • Customer Management
  • Reminders for subscriptions
  • Advanced Subscription Cancellations
  • Email Support (1 Day SLA)
  • Add-Ons
  • One-click Upsells
  • Several Payment Options
  • Advanced Reporting

Scale $199 Per Month

Everything in “Grow” plus:

  • Keep billing failed transactions (Dunning)
  • CRM Integrations
  • Custom Integrations (Webhooks)
  • Email Support (Priority)

Final Thoughts – ThriveCart vs SamCart – Which is Best?

Overall, this has been a very close battle between ThriveCart vs SamCart. I think from a value point of view, ThriveCart may be ahead because of its affordability.

If you’re on a tight budget and price is one of your main concerns, then go for ThriveCart. And it also has some great features that SamCart doesn’t have.

However, SamCart’s modern templates, post-payment feature, and easy-to-use dashboard may be worth the additional cost to you.

You can also take advantage of SamCart’s free 30-day trial here and see how you like it.

It’s important to be aware that GrooveSell has a multi-functional dashboard that actually allows you to switch between your vendor dashboard (used to sell your own products) and the affiliate dashboard (used to monitor your sales as an affiliate).

Multi-Functional Dashboard

So, once you first login to GrooveSell, you will, by default, land on the Vendor dashboard.

You can easily switch to the Affiliate dashboard by clicking the ‘Vendor” icon at the top left of your account. Here’s a screenshot below to help you.

Each dashboard has similar, but slightly different features, which I will explain below.

GrooveSell Vendor Dashboard Features

As I continue my GrooveSell review, I will now tell you about the different features you will find inside the 2 dashboards it comes with.

Product Funnels

To sell anything using GrooveSell, you first need to set up a product funnel. It’s easy to do and there is an 11-step set-up wizard inside your account that walks you through the funnel builder.

You can add as many or as few steps as you like inside your sales funnel using the page builder.

GrooveSell product funnel button

As you can see in the screenshot above, here is the place where you will set up your landing page, order form, checkout page, upsell and downsell pages, and order bumps.

GrooveSell also provides shopping cart software for you to set up a professional shopping experience for your customers.

Affiliate Management

This is the area where you can create an affiliate program for your products and upload assets and tools for your affiliates to use.

Amazingly, this affiliate software feature is completely free!

To put this into perspective, if you’re using ClickFunnels to manage your affiliate program then you will need to upgrade to the Platinum account and pay $297 per month.

When it comes to Kartra’s prices, the cheapest you can run an affiliate program for is $99 per month.

GrooveSell provides you with a decent amount of reporting info on your affiliates. You can monitor things like:

  • Name of affiliate
  • Which products they are promoting
  • Number of impressions and clicks they are sending
  • Earned and pending commissions
  • Their payment history info

Customers

This section is where you can see all your customers listed along with any info you have collected on them, such as their name, email address, phone number, etc.

Reporting

This is the analytics section of your GrooveSell vendor account.

In this section you will be able to monitor all your customers’ transaction history, including successful and failed transactions, which products they purchased, on which dates, etc.

You can also download your customer info in a CSV file, which is useful for a number of reasons.

Tools

In the ‘Tools” section you can create coupons and tracking links, and also create your checkout forms.

I was really impressed with the level of tracking that you can do with GrooveSell, as it’s much more detailed than most other platforms I’ve used before.

You can really dial down on conversion goals so you can see not only where your sales are coming from, but what actions the person took inside your funnel.

Marketplace

The “Marketplace” is a new addition to the Vendor dashboard. It gives you access to tons of affiliate programs of other GrooveFunnels users.

Why is this helpful?

You can check the affiliate marketplace to see if there are any products that are relevant to your niche that your audience may also be interested in.

You can then choose to promote them alongside your own products in your funnel by offering them as an upsell of downsell to your own product, if you do not yet have your own upsell products created.

This can help you to earn more money in your funnel by also promoting other people’s products alongside your own.

GrooveSell Affiliate Dashboard Features

Now let’s take a closer look at the GrooveSell affiliate dashboard.

If you do affiliate marketing then this is the dashboard you use if you are promoting GrooveFunnels, or any other product that is found on the Groove marketplace.

Some of the sections of the affiliate dashboard are either the same as the vendor’s dashboard, or they look the same. I’ve included screenshots of the ones that are different, below.

Affiliate & Home Icons

These two icons are basically the same thing, and bring you to the main affiliate dashboard area.

When you first login to this dashboard, this is the page you will land on.

Dashboard for affiliates

Promos

The promos area lists your active promotions and gives you a snapshot of how many impressions and visitors you have sent to different offers, as well as the number of sign ups and conversions.

The snapshot will show your total affiliate commissions earned for each promotion to date.

Bonuses

When I first had a look around this dashboard I was very impressed to see that it also has a ‘my bonuses’ section.

This is where you can upload your own bonuses that you might be using to offer as an incentive for people signing up through your link. Once in the system, you can set it up to auto-deliver your bonuses upon signup or conversion, which is pretty sweet.

Reporting

The reporting section houses detailed info on your affiliate activity. Besides giving more detailed info on impressions and unique visits by date, it also lists every person you has either signed up for a free trial, or made a purchase through your link.

You can see info such as, the person’s name, the date they signed up, if they have successfully made a purchase, how much commission you received, if you have someone on your tier-two who may also benefit from the sale, etc.

Tools

The ‘tools’ icon brings you directly to the place where you can set up unique tracking ID’s. Using this feature allows you to monitor exactly how successful your campaigns are, and what you should be putting most effort into.

Marketplace

The Marketplace is where you can find other products to promote that may go along well with your current offerings.

The affiliate marketplace is organised by niche, so you can browse to find suitable products that your audience might like.

If you have made your own products then you can also list your sales page for them here for other affiliates to promote for you.

GrooveSell Pricing

As I have already mentioned, GrooveSell is free!

We’re not sure how long it will be free for, but at the moment you can get the free lifetime deal account with no monthly fees, which includes GrooveSell, GroovePages and GrooveAffiliate.

If you sign up now, then you will get these apps for free and never have to pay for these accounts.

You can use these 3 apps by themselves, or in combination with each other. Here are a few things you can do with them:

  • Build up to 3 fully-functional websites (GroovePages Lite)
  • Set up landing pages (GroovePages Lite)
  • Sell products and services, coaching sessions, etc (GrooveSell)
  • Recruit affiliates to sell for you (GrooveAffiliate)

You can get GrooveSell for free by signing up here.

GrooveSell Alternatives

GrooveSell is one of the latest alternatives to other platforms like SamCart and ThriveCart.

On the free plan, you can use GrooveSell, GroovePages and GrooveAffiliate, which is a powerful combination. In fact, this combo can give other alternative platforms a run for their money, including the industry leader, ClickFunnels.

When you consider all the additional apps and features you get when you upgrade to the GrooveFunnels Platinum marketing suite, other alternative platforms just can’t offer as much value for money.

This also goes for Kartra, which is the closest alternative to GrooveFunnels by way of feature offerings.

Having said that, GrooveSell and GrooveFunnels are by no means perfect. It only launched in 2020, so there are still some bugs to iron out. Most features are live, but a few are still in beta as the Groove Digital team are working around the clock to get them all fully operational.

If you can’t wait and you need to get started right now with a completely rolled out system that has a feature list comparable to GrooveFunnels, then my recommended alternative option is Kartra. However, Kartra does not have a free account.

You can learn more about the Kartra features in my Kartra review here.

If you need something more simple that offers the same features as GrooveSell at a good price then I would say SamCart is the one to go for. However, GrooveSell is fully operational and ready for you to use for free.

Here’s a pricing breakdown of the top GrooveSell alternatives:

SamCart

Kartra

ThriveCart

  • One time price of $495

ClickFunnels

PayKickStart

  • Starting at $99 per month

GrooveSell FAQ’s

If you’ve read this far and you still have some questions, there here are the most commonly asked questions about the free GrooveSell platform.

Is GrooveSell Easy To Use?

Yes, the GrooveSell shopping cart software is easy to use. It has an intuitive user-friendly dashboard that is easy to navigate. Can You Sell Physical Products With GrooveSell?

No, GrooveSell is designed to sell digital products. If you want to sell physical products then you will need to use the GrooveKart app, which is also aGrooveFunnels app. You can get this app for free when you sign up for a GrooveFunnels account.

What Payment Gateways Does GrooveSell Support?

You can integrate with world class payment processors like PayPal, Stripe, AuthNet, Braintree, and NMI to take credit card payments, and more options are coming soon.

What’s The Difference Between GrooveSell and GrooveKart?

Both the GrooveSell and GrooveKart apps are a part of the GrooveFunnels marketing suite.

GrooveKart has been created for eCommerce owners. It is great for selling physical products, or if you sell multiple products that have multiple product variants.

With GrooveSell you can create a sales page, product funnel and checkout page to sell your products. It is great for selling products like eBooks, videos, coaching sessions etc, that are either stand-alone products, or that come with a few upsell and downsell options.

Are There Any GrooveSell Hidden Fees?

Nope. GrooveSell is free to use, and they do not take a cut of your profits, or charge you transaction fees. You will need to integrate GrooveSell with one of the above payment processors, such as PayPal, or Stripe. These payment processors will, of course, have their own transaction fees, but GrooveSell will not charge you anything per transaction.

Is There An Affiliate Program?

Yes, GrooveSell and GrooveFunnels have one of the best affiliate programs around. You can sign up here to be an affiliate, or read my in-depth GrooveFunnels affiliate program review here to find out more.

Can You Use Custom Domains With GrooveSell?

Yes, you can use your own custom domain when using GrooveSell in order to professionally brand all your pages.

What Is GroveSell Payments?

GrooveSell Payments is a cool option available for members. Sometimes payment gateways like Stripe or PayPal can get funny with small vendors and may occasionally shut them down. This is more so the case if the vendor starts to do a lot of transactions.

If you’re worried about this then you can use use the GrooveSell Payments option, which means GrooveSell will then take the payments for you. They will handle all the transactions including your affiliate payments, tax and accounting.

Since Groove Digital is a large, trusted company, payment processors like PayPal and Stripe will view them as more trusted, and less likely to shut you down.

GrooveSell Review: My Final Thoughts

If you’re looking to sell digital products like eBooks, videos, courses, or coaching sessions then GrooveSell is a great option for you.

Being a completely free platform, GrooveSell is quickly becoming one of the most popular sales funnel and checkout platforms for entrepreneurs.

Being a user of GrooveSell myself, I can personally say it is a great platform with a lot of awesome features. I don’t think any other platform out there offers a sales funnel builder, affiliate management dashboard, and website builder for free.

After reading my GrooveSell review, if all this sounds good to you then I encourage you not to wait to sign up. We don’t know how long GrooveSell will be free, but if you act now, you can get lifetime access with all these features and never have to pay a dime!
