Trying to decide between affiliate marketing vs dropshipping? Here I’m going to tell you everything you need to know about these two business models.
I’ve worked both these business models myself, so I can tell you what you need to know about each.
While these are both great business types, all business models have their pros and cons. I’m gonna list them out for you so you can decide which one is best for you.
Let’s get to it.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
If you’re looking to start a business online then affiliate marketing is one of the most popular and fastest ways.
Affiliate marketing has huge appeal for 2 main reasons; it’s easy to get started, you don’t have to invest a lot of money (you can get started for free), and the earning potential can be crazy-high for experienced affiliates.
Affiliate Marketing allows companies to sell products and services through affiliates. Companies provide the product or service being offered, but the affiliates get paid if they send people to the company’s website.
Anyone can apply to an affiliate program. Once the affiliate is accepted they will be given a unique affiliate link through which they can promote products and get paid.
Affiliates usually promote affiliate products through some kind of online content (blog posts, YouTube videos, social media posts etc), or through paid ads.
When someone clicks on an affiliates link they will be taken to the product owners website. If the customer buys something, the affiliate will earn a commission.
Both the product owner and affiliate can monitor how many clicks and sales are being made through the affiliate link.
Affiliate Marketing Pros and Cons
Affiliate marketing is a fantastic business model. Affiliate marketing also has several advantages over dropshipping.
With affiliate marketing you can get started right away. Once you’ve got your affiliate links out on the internet you can potentially start earning money immediately.
Another big advantage of affiliate marketing over dropshipping is that you can earn a good income much more quickly.
Dropshipping is quite fast too compared to a traditional Ecommerce or network marketing business. However, you’re still gonna need to spend time sourcing products, building relationships with suppliers, and setting up a website.
There a lots of great products out there to promote
You can earn passive income
You can work as much or as little as you like
Some programs pay out huge commissions
Some programs pay you a monthly, quarterly or yearly recurring commission
You can work from anywhere
You are your own boss
You call the shots in your business
Lots of great courses available to learn affiliate marketing
Cons of Affiliate Marketing
It can be difficult to find profitable products
There is competition in many niches
Sometimes programs change their terms
Sometimes affiliate programs can shut down
Some courses can be scams
How Much Money Can You Make From Affiliate Marketing?
In the early days affiliates, of course, will make little to no money. This is to be expected with any business model because it takes time to learn the core skills.
Once affiliates gain experience, the majority make between $1,000 – $10,000 per month.
However, the scope to grow is almost limitless, and highly experienced affiliates can make over $100,000 per month.
How Fast Can You Make Money With Affiliate Marketing?
Most affiliates don’t make money straight away. It takes time to learn the skills necessary. But it doesn’t have to take a long time if you follow the right training.
Besides learning the skills, some methods of affiliate marketing are faster than others. For example, blogging is quite a slow method, but it has the benefit of being able to yield high profits for years to come if done correctly.
The fastest methods involve using social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok. For example, following this short TikTok course for affiliates is one of the fastest ways for beginners to get started.
Super-affiliate Spencer Mecham also teaches a fast method using Facebook in his Affiliate Secrets 3.0 course. According to Spencer, beginners can earn as much as $10,000 per month in their first 30 days providing they follow the method he lays out.
What is DropShipping?
A dropshipping business allows you to start an Ecommerce business from scratch without having to spend thousands of dollars on inventory. This model allows you to sell physical products without having to buy them yourself in advance.
Instead, you can find suppliers who will sell you goods at wholesale prices and then ship them directly to your customers on your behalf.
This means you don’t have to pay upfront costs like setting up shop, buying stock, hiring employees, or paying rent.
DropShipping Pros and Cons
Dropshipping is great because it allows you to start making money from day one. It also has some cons though.
Here are the main pros and cons of dropshipping:
Allows you to start an Ecommerce business without needing to spend a lot of money on inventory
You can get started quickly
You can do it as a side hustle
Easy to pivot if your dropshipping product stops selling
Shipping and handling is taken care of for you
You don’t need to worry about not being able to shift stock
You can focus more of your time on the marketing
Lots of companies allow you to resell their products on a drop ship model
Is more simple than traditional Ecommerce
You don’t have control over inventory management
Supplier can change their prices without noice
Supplier may go out of business
Supplier may be out of stock and not tell you fast enough
Customers often need to wait a long time for delivery
Need to manage customers expectations
You will need to handle refund or exchange requests
It can be difficult to discover which products sell well at first
You may spend time and money on trial and error to find the right products
How Much Money Can You Make From DropShipping?
The amount of money you can make from dropshipping depends on many factors, including what type of product you are selling, where it comes from, and whether you are using Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) or another service like eBay.
Some products will sell better for you than others, but you won’t know that until you try. Getting the right product in front of the right customers while keeping your costs low is the key to making this business work.
Typically, successful drop shippers make between 20-30% of each sale. The rest of the money is spent on buying the product from the supplier, website hosting and marketing costs.
How Fast Can You Make Money With Drop Shipping?
It’s not easy to say, as the answer depends on many factors.
If you want to start making money fast, then you’re probably better off focusing on building a brand and getting traffic first. Once you have built a strong brand, it will be much easier to sell to your audience.
Another benefit of taking this approach is that you can always start by selling affiliate products to your audience to make money more quickly. This will also give you a clearer picture of what they bite down on. If you still want to get into drop shipping then it should be much easier from here.
Affiliate Marketing vs DropShipping – Final Thoughts
Affiliate marketing and dropshipping are great business models. However, in my opinion as someone who has worked both models, you can make a lot more money with affiliate marketing, and more quickly.
Overall, my verdict on affiliate marketing vs dropshipping is that affiliate marketing is the clear winner.
As an affiliate you can get started quickly as an affiliate with the right training, you don’t need to invest much money to launch your business, most affiliate programs are free to join, and you can earn passive income for your efforts.
Unfortunately, most affiliates fail because they don’t get started the right way. But it doesn’t need to be like that…
If you want to start affiliate marketing, then there are a few core skills you need to learn.
Fortunately, you can learn these core skills and get your business set up in just 15 days from now.
If you’re trying to decide between affiliate marketing vs network marketing then I’m gonna tell you everything you need to know about these two business models.
As a person who has worked both type of business myself, I’m uniquely suited to give you an inside look.
Like any business model, there are pros and cons to both affiliate marketing and network marketing too.
So let’s get to it and discover which one is best.
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways to start an online business. It has huge appeal for two main reasons; the barrier to entry is very low, and the earning potential can be crazy-high for experienced affiliates.
Affiliate marketing allows companies to promote products and services through affiliates who refer potential customers to them. The company provides the product or service being sold, but the affiliate gets paid if they send someone to the company’s website who makes a purchase.
Basically, the company or product owner creates an affiliate program for their products and services.
Anyone can apply to the company to be an affiliate. Once the affiliate is accepted into the program they will be given an affiliate link that is unique to them.
The affiliate can then get to work promoting the company, usually through some kind of online content (blog posts, YouTube videos, social media posts etc), or through paid ads.
Once someone clicks the affiliates link they will be taken to the product owners website. If the customer makes a purchase then the affiliate will earn a commission.
Both the product owner and affiliate can monitor how many clicks and sales are being made through the affiliate link.
In my opinion, affiliate marketing is a great business model. Affiliate marketing also has several advantages over network marketing.
With affiliate marketing you can get started right away, and you don’t need to recruit anyone to join your team. Once you’ve got your affiliate links out on the internet you can potentially start earning money immediately.
Another big draw to affiliate marketing over an MLM business is that you have the potential to earn a lot of money quickly, especially if you have the right training.
With the MLM business model typically it can take several years before you are earning enough to live on.
There are lots more pros to being an affiliate. However, there are also a few cons too you should be aware of too.
Besides skill level, some methods are faster than others. For example, blogging is quite a slow method, but it has the benefit of being able to yield high profits for years to come if done correctly.
The fastest methods involve using social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok.
Super-affiliate Spencer Mecham teaches a fast method in his Affiliate Secrets 3.0 course. Spencer says this method can earn beginner students as much as $10,000 per month in their first 30 days providing they follow his method and put the work in.
What is Network Marketing?
When you join a network marketing opportunity you are known as a ‘distributor’ for that company. You can be a distributor for more than one company, although most distributors prefer to be loyal to just one company.
In a network marketing business, you basically have two areas to focus your efforts. The first is to promote your MLM company products directly to customers. When a customer buys a product from you, you will earn a small commission.
Secondly, you need to recruit people to join your team, people who would also like to be a distributor just like you. The benefit of this is that you will then also earn a smaller referral commission from all the sales anyone in your team (known as your downline) will make.
The goal is to build a team of salespeople who will eventually become your downline distributors. Once you reach a certain level of success, you may be able to move into management and earn even bigger commissions.
When you first join the MLM industry, your company will encourage you to promote your product to your friends, family members, work colleagues, and social media followers.
This does put a lot of people off joining an MLM because they don’t want to annoy their friends and family. However, many people are happy to do so. But once you’ve exhausted this list of people (known as your warm list), you’ll have to get creative to find more people to sell to. This is where an MLM can start to get particularly challenging.
One big difference between affiliate marketing and network marketing is that affiliates promote products online and most MLM participants work face to face with customers.
Network Marketing Pros and Cons
Although it has lost some popularity due to the growth of the internet, a lot of people still choose to join a network marketing, or MLM company.
If you’re thinking to join a network marketing opportunity then here are the pros and cons to be aware of.
Pros of Network Marketing
The best part of network marketing is that it allows you to build a business without having to spend money upfront. It’s all about building relationships and making friends. if you’re good with people then you may do well with an MLM.
Here are the main pros of this business model:
You get commissions from the work of others in your team
You can work when you want
Your MLM company will give you training and marketing materials
You can earn passive income
Cons of Network Marketing
There are limited benefits
It takes a long time to build this business
You are encouraged to sell to friends and family
You need to have a thick skin
You will get rejected a lot
You may need to do prospecting in public
Has a reputation of being a pyramid scheme
There is usually a cost involved to join an MLM opportunity
One of the biggest drawbacks of an MLM Network is they have a reputation for being a pyramid scheme. This can then make it very difficult for you to convince others to join you in your quest.
While most MLM companies are legit, there are definitely some scam companies out there. Basically, if the company does not have a real product to sell and only makes money (or primarily makes money) from the investment people pay to join the MLM opportunity then it is a pyramid scheme. In this case I advise you to run a mile.
On the other hand, if the company does have a genuine product, from which most of the money is earned for the company then it is more likely to be legit.
The FTC says that if you pay people to sign up others, you’re probably operating a pyramid scheme. If you’re thinking to join an MLM then the FTC advise you read this first.
How Much Money Can You Make From Network Marketing?
How much money you can earn in network marketing depends a lot on the products that are being sold, the demand for the products, and most importantly how early you got in on the action.
Unfortunately, when it comes to MLM’s it’s usually the people at the top of the pyramid, ie the people who joined the company in the early days that make all the money. These folks can make really good money if they are working for a good company. However, if you’re getting in early then you’re also taking a chance that the company will survive.
If you get in too late, ie you jin a team where there are a lot of people above you before you get to the top distributor then you probably won’t end up making much.
How Fast Can You Make Money With Network Marketing?
I tried 3 different MLM businesses between 2006 to 2010. I made a bit of money with them but not enough to tell my grandma about.
I stuck with one company and worked diligently for 3 years, and my monthly recurring revenue (passive income) amounted to about $45.
If you’re still planning to join an MLM then be prepared to work hard and wait a long time before you start earning good money.
Final Thoughts: Affiliate marketing vs Network marketing
Affiliate marketing and network marketing have the same ultimate goal of building passive income.
However, in my opinion as someone who has worked both of these business models, you can make a lot more money with affiliate marketing, and more quickly too.
Overall, my verdict on affiliate marketing vs network marketing is that affiliate marketing wins hands down.
Affiliate marketing is a great way to start making money online because it’s free to join, easy to set up, and most importantly, it can bring you passive income.
Unfortunately, most affiliates fail because they don’t get started the right way. But it doesn’t need to be like that…
If you want to start affiliate marketing, then there are a few core skills you need to learn.
Fortunately, you can learn these core skills and get your business set up completely in just 15 days from now.
If you’re new to affiliate marketing then you probably have a ton of questions wizzing around your head.
Here is a list of 57+ (I’m still adding to the list and I lost count after 57) useful answers to the most popular affiliate marketing questions.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways to earn money online. It involves promoting someone else’s products by placing links to them on your website, blog, social media page, etc. In return, you’ll receive a commission if people click through and make purchases.
How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?
A product owner, known as a vendor or merchant, will set up an affiliate program for their products. Some merchants choose to run their affiliate program privately, meaning they have in-house staff to handle the program.
Other merchants prefer to host their program on an affiliate network like ClickBank, ShareASale, Commission Junction, or FlexOffers (to name but a few).
A person who would like to promote the merchants products is known as the affiliate or publisher.
Once the affiliate has been accepted into the program they will be given a special affiliate link that is unique to them. The link is set up with certain parameters which enable both the product owner and the affiliate to track activity via that link.
When a sale is made via an affiliate link the product owner will instantly be able to tell which affiliate made the sale. The affiliate will then receive their referral commission usually a few weeks or a month or so after the sale has been made. This buffer of time allows for the possibility of a refund. If the customer refunds within the buffer window, then the affiliate will not get paid for that particular sale.
Basically, if the merchant makes money through your affiliate links then you as the affiliate will also make money.
Here is a great affiliate marketing tutorial for beginners by super affiliate, Spencer Mecham.
Yes, it is completely legitimate. It’s just like any other business. The main difference is you don’t have to spend a lot of money to start, and you don’t need to have your own product, you can simply sell someone else’s.
Is Affiliate Marketing Safe?
Yes, it is safe if done correctly. There are many scams out there , but if you do your due diligence on any company you choose to promote, or any course you choose to join then you should be fine.
The best thing to do is to look at the companies you are considering working with and see what they are like. Look into reviews and complaints from previous customers.
You can also ask in any affiliate marketing on Facebook groups that you may be a part of to ask if anyone has had experience dealing with the company as an affiliate. Don’t just take anyone’s word for it. Do your own research.
When it comes to your education as an affiliate marketer, there are a lot of scam courses out there. So it is important to know the legit courses from the bad. Please see the question above for a list of recommended affiliate marketing courses.
Is Affiliate Marketing Dead?
No, not at all! I’ve been working as an affiliate for 9 years as of writing this post, and my affiliate income has continued to grow every year. I also know a lot of other people who make a full-time living as an affiliate marketer.
Will Affiliate Marketing Die?
I doubt it! Affiliate marketing is an effective strategy for businesses to increase sales and revenue. It’s not much different from the traditional sales man or woman, except the arena has been moved online.
How Long Will Affiliate Marketing Last?
As long as there is an internet and people want to buy stuff online.
Does Affiliate Marketing Still Work?
Absolutely! As I said above, there are indeed a lot of people who make a full-time income online as an affiliate, myself included.
Why Affiliate Marketing Is Poised To Grow
Around 80% of all businesses and brands also have an affiliate program. Affiliate marketing is responsible for more than 15% of all revenue generated online, and that is projected to grow by more than 10% over the next few years.
How Do Affiliate Marketers Get Paid?
The most common form of payment is through a percentage of the sales generated by the affiliate link. This means that if someone buys something using your affiliate link, you will receive a commission.
Depending on the company and type of product you are promoting, your commission will typically be somewhere between 2% – 40% of the sale. However, I have known some companies offering as much as 100% commission per sale.
In this case, the product owner does not take any money form the first sale, but are relying on following up with your customer (usually via email) to sell them multiple products over time.
Instead of paying the affiliate a percentage of a sale, some programs will pay you a set fee, for example, $50 per sale.
Products that are sold on a monthly subscription basis such as a software product or membership program commonly (but not always) offer a recurring commission. For example, if the product you are promoting will cost the customer $97 per month and you as the affiliate are set to receive 40% recurring commissions, then you will receive $38.80 each and every month that person remains a customer. This is known as a recurring affiliate program, and is one of my favourite types to promote.
Pay Per Lead
Some affiliate programs do not pay you on a per sale basis, but instead, they will pay you just for generating a lead. Usually, these are some of the easiest programs to promote because you do not need to rely on your customer making a purchase.
Instead, you can get paid if your referral submits an email address or other contact information. While you can often generate more commissions via a pay per lead program with not much traffic, the commissions are often very low.
Cost Per Action
Similar to the pay per lead model, some affiliate programs will pay you based on an action your referral takes on the merchants website. For example, if you send a lead to the merchant’s website and they then take a specified action set out my the product owner (for example, filling out a form, watching a video, or leaving a review), you get paid.
Again, commissions are usually low in CPA programs.
Some affiliate programs pay out very high commissions. These are often courses, softwares, or expensive products that require additional salesmanship from the affiliate in order to make the sale.
If you are promoting hight ticket products then you can expect to earn anything from $100 – $10,000 per sale.
Affiliate Marketing Pros and Cons
Like any business model, there are advantages and disadvantages to affiliate marketing too. Here are the main pros and cons to be aware of:
Low barrier to enrty
You don’t need to own the product
You don’t need to deal with customer issues
You don’t need to worry about shipping
You can get started for little or no money
You can choose to promote any products you like
There a lots of great products out there to promote
You can earn passive income
You can work as much or as little as you like
Some programs pay out huge commissions
Some programs pay you a monthly, quarterly or yearly recurring commission
You can work from anywhere
You are your own boss
You call the shots in your business
It can be difficult to find profitable products
There is competition in many niches
Sometimes programs change their terms
Sometimes affiliate programs can shut down
What Are The Main Advantages of Affiliate Marketing?
The main advantage of affiliate marketing is that it allows you to earn passive income from products that you may not necessarily want to provide yourself.
This means that you don’t have to spend any money to create your own products, which makes it a popular choice for many people who want to start earning extra cash quickly.
How to Pick the Right Affiliate Marketing Strategy for Your Business
There are a number of effective affiliate marketing strategies you could use to build your business. However, which one you chose should really depend on your target market ie, where are your customers hanging out, and your personality/ preferred working style.
If the majority of your audience congregate on Facebook then using either Facebook ads or an organic Facebook marketing strategy will make sense. On the other hand, if most of your target audience typically watch YouTube then starting a YouTube channel should be a no-brainer.
Having said that, if you want to be able to stick with your business long-term then you should also consider what method you will most enjoy using,. For example, if you are more introverted by nature, you like to remain behind the scenes and you enjoy writing then blogging will be a great fit for you.
If, on the other hand, you love networking and building relationships then employing one of the popular social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok) can work great for affiliate marketing, providing a good portion of your target audience are also using that platform.
How Do I Become an Affiliate Marketer/How Do I Start?
The first step is to choose a niche market. This could be anything from health and fitness to making music or video games.
However, I recommend choosing a sub-niche in one of the 3 top evergreen niches: Health, Wealth, or Relationships. Then start researching products within that niche market.
Once you find something you like, check out the seller’s website to see if they have an affiliate program. Are they offering a good commission rate? Does their website look professional? Would you buy form this site as a customer? If not, why not? Have a look online to see if there are any customer reviews. Ask in affiliate marketing Facebook groups if anyone has had experience working with the company as an affiliate.
If all checks out then read through the companies affiliate program terms to see how you can get accepted into the program.
Once you’re accepted you can start promoting your affiliate links. However, in order to do this you will need to start producing content that your target audience would like to consume. Then, begin placing your affiliate links in your content.
How Much Money Can You Make as an Affiliate Marketer?
The amount of money you can make depends on many factors including the type of product you promote, how large and responsive your audience is, and how experienced you are at online marketing.
A lot of people give up on affiliate marketing before they make any money at all. This is a shame because it’s a highly lucrative skill that almost anyone can master if they stick with it and put the effort into learning the correct strategies.
Having said that, it is possible for beginners to start earning 4-figures per month fairly quickly if they have a good work ethic. Some affiliate marketers make 5 and even 6-figures per month. However, they have learned a lot of skills over a number of years in order to reach that level.
Is Affiliate Marketing Worth It?
Yes, if you are willing to put in the effort. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to succeed at this type of business model. The best part is that you don’t need to spend any money to start making money. And once your business is running smoothly you can earn passive income for years to come from your efforts.
How to Choose a Niche For Affiliate Marketing
Choosing a niche for affiliate marketing is one of the most important decisions you will make as an affiliate. It is not enough to just pick a topic – you must find a sub-niche within that topic.
For example, if you are selling dog food, you might want to focus on a particular type of dog (e.g., small dogs) or a certain brand of dog food. If you go too broad then you will get lost in the crowd and it will be too difficult to compete.
Wherever you can sub-niche down, and then sub-niche down again until you are marketing to a very specific audience, the better you will do.
How to Start Affiliate Marketing Without a Website
There are many ways to begin affiliate marketing. Some people prefer to build affiliate websites from scratch, or buy one that is already receiving traffic and making sales.
If neither of these options appeal to you, or you just don’t have the money to buy a ready-made affiliate site, don’t worry. Probably the vast majority of affiliates out there do not use a website to promote their business. Instead, they rely on social media channels, YouTube, or paid advertising.
I recommend you read my article on how to make money on Pinterest without a blog here. Regardless if you want to use Pinterest or not, this is a great method that you can also apply to pretty much any social media platform including YouTube.
How Can I Start Affiliate Marketing With No Money?
Fortunately, it is possible to start this business model with no money. However, bear in mind that it will take you longer to grow your business without any money at all. Once you start making some money you should reinvest it into your business to buy a few tools that will help you to grow your business much more quickly.
If you are starting with no money then you will need to spend time creating content on a platform like YouTube on a regular basis in order to build an audience. You can place your affiliate links in your video descriptions and encourage your audience to click your link.
There are many different ways to promote affiliate products. The most popular method is through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for affiliate marketing.
You can also advertise via Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other ad-based platforms.
Personally, my preferred method is via a WordPress website. I think this method because it allows me to be more in control of my business. Using a website for affiliate marketing also allows you to earn money passively from your content.
How Much Money Can You Make From Affiliate Marketing?
Beginners usually make zero until they have acquired the core skills that are necessary to make affiliate marketing work.
The majority of experienced affiliates make between $1,000 – $10,000 per month.
Super-affiliate Spencer Mecham teaches a fast method in his Affiliate Secrets 3.0 course. Spencer says this method can earn beginner students as much as $10,000 per month in their first 30 days providing they follow his method and put the work in.
Content creation is one of the most important aspects of affiliate marketing. It helps build trust with your audience and keep them engaged. And, of course, your content will include your affiliate links.
The kind of content you create will depend on which platform you are using.
If you are blogging on WordPress then you will be creating articles and blog posts.
If you are building your business on a video platform like YouTube or TikTok then you will need to create videos on a regular basis.
For visual platforms like Instagram and Pinterest you will need to create image posts and publish on a daily basis, preferably multiple times a day.
Whatever method you are using, it is important to create content as often as you can and publish for your audience to see. Consistency is key.
Here’s a good video on how to use AI generated content to create blog posts.
Which Affiliate Marketing Niches Work?
There are a number of great affiliate niches that you can work in. However, unfortunately, not every niche out there is lucrative.
It is important to have an interest in your chosen niche, but you also need to make sure that you will also be able to earn good money working in it.
If you go too broad then you will get lost in the crowd and come up against competition that is too great. You will want to sub-niche down as much as you can in order to define a target audience.
For example, the best niches to work in are Health Wealth and Relationships. These 3 niches are known as evergreen niches because there will always be people who need answers to problems in these areas until the end of time. However, they are very broad and too competitive to dive into head on.
Therefore, choose one of these 3 niches, and then look for a sub-niche within that category. For example:
Relationships >> Female dating advice >> female dating advice for divorced women over 40
Wealth >> Cryptocurrency >> Ethereum trading
Health >> Weight Loss >> how to lose belly fat >> how to lose belly fat for new mom’s
The cost per action (CPA) model is one of the most popular methods for monetizing affiliate programs.
This means that affiliates receive payment each time someone takes some kind of action related to your website. For example, if you write an article about how to start a business, you might offer an affiliate commission for anyone who signs up for your email list.
What Is EPC In Affiliate Marketing?
The Earnings Per Click (EPC) is the amount of revenue generated by each click through from one site to another.
EPC is calculated by multiplying the number of clicks by the average cost per click. For example, if I earned $1,000 and I had received 1,000 clicks, then my EPC is $1.
How To Use Social Media For Affiliate Marketing?
Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube are all great platforms for building an audience and engaging with potential customers.
If you want to use social media for affiliate marketing then I recommend starting with just one platform at a time. Spend at least 6-12 months publishing content regularly on that platform, engaging with your audience and building a following. You can monetize straight away by including your affiliate links in posts.
Once the first social media platform is established you can then look to start a new revenue stream on a second platform.
How to Use Native Advertising For Affiliate Marketing?
Native advertising is a type of content that looks like regular content but has one key difference – it isn’t actually from the publisher who publishes the content. Instead, it comes from another company, which may be a competitor or partner of the publisher.
The aim of native advertising is to promote products and services within the context of the article itself. This means that the content doesn’t look like ads; instead, they blend into the flow of the text.
Typically, native ads are seen at the end of blog posts and look like thumbnails for other content pieces on the same site. However, when you click on the image you will be taken to the advertisers website.
The thumbnails are often highly enticing to click and rely on click-bait like headlines in order to grab your attention and click the ad.
Here’s a great video from super affiliate Liam James Kay.
Can You Do Affiliate Marketing With Google Ads?
Yes, you can use Google ads to directly promote affiliate offers. However, the most common method is to use Google ads to first send people to a landing page to collect personal information like an email address first. Then, marketers typically follow up with their customers on the back end via email.
How To Use PPC For Affiliate Marketing?
There are many different ways to use pay per click (PPC) advertising for affiliate marketing.
The most common method is through Google AdWords. This is where advertisers bid on keywords that relate to their product.
Bidding high, and having a well optimized ad will result in higher ad rankings. In turn, this will lead to greater visibility of your ad. And then, once your ad is getting seen it will inevitably attract clicks. Then, hopefully those clicks will lead to sales.
A lot of people think that you need to send Google ad traffic to a landing page or website. However, this is not the case. You can also send Google ad traffic directly to affiliate offers.
How Easy Is Affiliate Marketing?
It’s not easy. However, it is a highly lucrative skill that anyone can learn with time and the right training.
The main problem is finding good products to promote and then being able to generate targeted traffic.
The main skill of an affiliate marketer is being able to create engaging content that your audience wants to consume, and then directing them to check out your affiliate offer by clicking on your links.
Can Affiliate Marketing Be a Career?
Yes! It can be a fun and rewarding career if you know what you are doing. There are many ways to earn money through affiliate marketing but it all comes down to two main skills:
Knowing which products will convert best
Knowing how to create content to generate steady traffic
As of writing this article I have now ben doing affiliate marketing for 9 years and I love it! it was hard in the early days, but once I learnt the necessary skills I started to earn a regular income for my efforts.
It took me a few years before I was earning a full-time income because I went the blogging route. I do personally think the blogging route is the best, but beginners need to understand that this method is slower to get going.
If I were to do it all over again I would start with YouTube and then incorporate blogging a year or so later once I am earning a full-time income from my YouTube channel. But that’s just me. Other people prefer to work only with social media. A lot of it does depend on your personality type and what method you will enjoy the most.
Can Affiliate Marketing Make Me Rich?
Yes! I am living proof of this. I started out making $50 per month from affiliate marketing but now I earn over $10,000 per month.
Can I Be an Affiliate Without a Website?
Yes! There are many ways to earn money through affiliate marketing besides blogging. These include:
YouTube – create videos and link to your affiliate offers in your videos description
Facebook organic – network with other Facebook users through Facebook groups and Messenger, and introduce them to the products you promote
TikTok – Create 15 second videos and encourage people to click your link in your channel bio. Your link leads to a landing page where you collect their email and offer a product
Pinterest – Publish pins on a daily basis that either lead directly to an affiliate offer, or to your landing page where you can collect their email address and follow up with them via email
These are just a few examples of how you can earn money as an affiliate without a website.
If you would like to go the blogging route but you don’t have any money to start your own website just yet, then you can blog for free on Medium. You can then add your affiliate links within your articles on Medium.
Once you are earning money you can invest in a good affordable web host and start your own WordPress site (much more preferable).
How Do Affiliate Payments Work?
Each affiliate program will have slightly different payment terms. Therefore, it’s important to read the affiliate terms and conditions to make sure you’re happy with them before promoting.
Typically, each company will have a buffer window of at least 30 days to allow time in case a customer requests a refund. If your customer requests a refund within this window then you will not receive the commission for the sale. Be aware that some companies can have a buffer window of up to two months.
The company will also state in their T&C’s what date of the month they pay commission out to affiliates, and the frequency. Some companies will pay weekly, while others will pay fortnightly or monthly.
Some merchants will have multiple payment options, typically giving you the option to receive payments directly into your bank account, or via PayPal. Some companies will only offer one option. Payoneer is also another popular payment processor used by merchants to pay affiliates.
What Are Affiliate Partnerships?
When you sign up as an affiliate to promote a product, you are not in an affiliate partnership with that company.
How Does Affiliate Tracking Work?
Affiliate link tracking is a powerful tool for digital marketers. It allows you to gain granular insights into your user’s journey and key learnings about their behavior. The technology tracks affiliate links embedded in a website’s content and records the publisher ID. A confirmation cookie is used to credit transactions to an affiliate channel.
Once a customer clicks on an ad or affiliate link, the tracking cookie remains in their browser until or unless the user clears their browser cookies. So, if a customer clears their browser cookies, the affiliate will not be tracked.
In order to track sales from affiliates, the product owner will set up a unique AffiliateID for each affiliate, and for each product. In the case of the Amazon affiliate program, this code is called SubID. Each affiliate’s unique link should contain this code.
Where Can Sellers and Affiliates Connect?
Some companies run their affiliate program privately. In this case, you will need to contact the company directly to apply.
Most companies will have an ‘affiliates’ page on their website. The link to this page is usually found in the footer of the website. This page should tell you the main details of the program, commission percentages, how to apply etc.
Many other companies prefer to host their program on an affiliate network. Some of the most popular include ClickBank, Commission Junction, ShareASale, Impact, FlexOffers, LinkShare, Rakuten Linkshare, Partnerize, and others.
To work with a company on one of these networks you will first need to sign up to the network as a publisher or advertiser. Then, once you are approved you can search the networks database for possible promotion partners. Some merchants on the network will want to further vet each affiliate. If this is the case then you will need to apply to the program directly via your affiliate network account.
On the other hand, many merchants will be happy for you to promote their products as long as the network has approved you. In this case you won’t need to fill out an additional application for said company.
Yes, absolutely! When it comes to affiliate marketing there are a few core skills that you ned to master. Without thee core skills you will find it very difficult if not impossible to make good money as an affiliate.
Be aware that while there are several great courses out there, are are also a lot of bad ones too. Unfortunately, the industry is rife with a lot of people who are just trying to make a quick buck selling a course that contains either outdated material, or information that just doesn’t work.
If you want a solid recommendation of the best affiliate courses to take then I recommend the following 3:
All of these courses are kept up to date with the latest information and techniques that are working today. If you choose to invest in any of these courses then you will also get access to all future updates of the course without needing to pay again.
Once you’re a member you get lifetime updates so you can always keep your skills sharp and keep making money online.
What’s The difference Between Affiliate Marketing and Network Marketing?
Affiliate marketing and network marketing are very different business models. The main difference between these 2 is that affiliates work online to make sales, whereas network marketers mostly work offline (but not always) to sell the products of one specific company.
No, it isn’t. It’s not a pyramid scheme because you don’t pay people to join. Instead, you earn commissions by referring others to sign up for products and services through your affiliate links, which are usually placed on your website or social media channels.
The commission rates vary from company to company (see above), but typically affiliates will receive 2% – 40% of sales generated by their referrals.
Can Affiliate Marketing Be a Career?
Yes! It can be a career if you know what you’re doing. There’s a huge amount of potential to earn a living from it.
The best part is that you don’t need any special skills or qualifications to get started – all you need is a computer, a good course to follow, and some determination.
Can Affiliate Marketing Make You a Millionaire?
Yes! It’s true that affiliate marketing does have the potential to make you a millionaire if you take it seriously. But please know that it will take hard work, dedication, and persistence in order to reach these heights.
Can Affiliate Marketing Be Done Without a Website?
Yes! There are many ways to earn money through affiliate marketing without having a website. For example, you can promote products by posting them on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
Can Affiliate Marketing Be a Side Hustle?
Yes! Most affiliate marketers operate start out as a side hustle business as it can be done from anywhere and at any time. It doesn’t require a huge investment upfront and it can be scaled up or down depending on your needs.
Some affiliates choose to keep their affiliate business as a side hustle, while others choose to evolve their business into a full-time career.
Can Affiliate Marketing Be Done On Facebook?
Yes! There are a number of ways to earn money as an affiliate through Facebook. The most common method is by using Facebook ads. These ads allow you to target specific demographics, locations, interests, age groups, etc. In addition to this, you can choose from different ad formats including text, image, video, and carousel.
TikTok is a great platform for affiliates since it has huge potential for your posts to go viral. Even some beginner affiliates are having huge success using this platform. So, it’s a great idea to invest in a TikTok course if you’re just getting started.
Basically, you place your affiliate link in your profile bio and then make 15-60 second videos around a topic, and then encourage your audience to click your affiliate link.
Once a TikTok user clicks your link they will be taken to a landing page where you can collect their email in exchange for a free offer such as an eBook. Once the TikTok user submits their information on your landing page you can then automatically redirect the visitor to a second page called a bridge page where you can introduce them to an affiliate product.
Your new subscriber will also receive automated emails from you through which you can make more sales.
On Pinterest you can link your pins to articles on your website or even directly to affiliate offers. This is why Pinterest is one platform you can use to for affiliate marketing without a blog.
Alternatively, you can link your pins to a landing page and collect email addresses from your visitors, then send them to an affiliate offer in the same way outlined above for the TikTok method.
Can You Do Affiliate Marketing Without an Audience?
Yes, although it is recommended to start building an audience as soon as possible.
Can You Do Affiliate Marketing Without Social Media?
Yes, if you don’t want to use social media for affiliate marketing then there are other options. These include blogging with a WordPress website or on a free platform like Medium, using paid ads, native ads, or YouTube.
Can You Do Affiliate Marketing Without Showing Your Face?
Yes!Although it is a lot easier to gain trust and make sales as an affiliate if you show your face, you can also become a successful affiliate while remaining anonymous.
I did this for years because I did not want it to interfere with my then primary business when I first got started. The method I chose was blogging, and I ran a few websites completely anonymously.
Paid ads such as using Google AdWords is also another method you can use and still remain anonymous. You can even create a faceless YouTube channel and have success as an affiliate.
Here is a great video about how to be a successful affiliate with a faceless YouTube channel.
Can You Do Affiliate Marketing Without Being An Influencer?
Yes! Just follow one of the methods mentioned in the answer to the question above if you want to remain anonymous, or you just don’t want to be an influencer.
Is ClickBank The Best Affiliate Program?
I do personally like ClickBank, and I have made a lot of money with them over the years. Some people will say they are the best affiliate network out there, but I would not agree.
While I do think they are one of the best networks, especially when it comes to digital products, ClickBank does have a lot of scammy looking products on their network too. Having said that, there are also lots of good, reputable products here too.
When it comes to affiliate payments, ClickBank is one of the best networks. They pay affiliates once per week (on Wednesdays), only keeping your money for 2 weeks in arrears in case of refunds. ClickBank will also pay you directly into your bank account.
ClickBank support is also quite good, although it is only via email. Each time I have needed to contact support I have always received an answer within 24hrs.
How To Start Affiliate Marketing on ClickBank
First, go here and open an account as an affiliate or publisher.
First, you need to sign up to the Amazon Associates program. Once approved, you can search the Amazon marketplace via your associates dashboard for products to promote.
Amazon will give you access to an affiliate link and an image graphic for any of their products you choose to promote. You can then place this link on your website.
I do not recommend you promote Amazon since their commission percentage is so low and the tracking cookie set by the company is only 24hrs. Secondly, Amazon do not treat their affiliates very well. In April 2020 (one month after COVID-19 hit), they decided to severely cut the commission percentage offered to affiliates in spite of 2020 being a very lucrative year for Amazon. Many affiliates were completely reliant on their Amazon commissions in order to survive.
When Did Affiliate Marketing First Start?
Affiliate marketing got its start in the mid 1990s when an online florist named William J. Tobin started an affiliate program for his floristry business, PC Flowers and Gifts.
When To Start Affiliate Marketing On a Blog
You can include affiliate links in your blog posts straight away. However, if you are not receiving much traffic then your time will be better spent in the early days focusing on producing more content to increase traffic.
Then, once traffic starts to increase you can up the monetization of your blog.
Which Affiliate Marketing Method Is Best For Beginners?
The best method depends on what you want to achieve. Do you just want to earn some extra cash? Or do you want to build a successful business?
I have tried several methods of affiliate marketing over the years, so form personal opinion I would say that either YouTube or Facebook organic are the best affiliate marketing methods for beginners.
This is a review Matt Diggity’s Affiliate Lab course.
The course first launched in 2017 and since has gained notoriety for being one of the best affiliate SEO courses out there.
The course creator, Matt Diggity is also known as one of the most trusted and respected guys in SEO.
But is Matt’s Affiliate Lab course really that good?
As an Affiliate Lab member myself, I’m gonna break down the course for you and give you all the inside info you need.
In this Affiliate Lab review I’m also gonna guide you through the Affiliate Lab pros and cons, the refund policy, how it compares to other affiliate marketing courses, and what other students really think about the course.
And in case you decide that the Affiliate Lab is a good fit for you I’m also gonna let you know how you can get access at a $200 discount.
Let’s get to it!
What Is The Affiliate Lab?
The Affiliate Lab is a comprehensive training program that teaches you how to build and flip profitable affiliate marketing websites.
The Affiliate Lab is actually a 9 course bundle, so you get a ton of value for your money. And more importantly, the training is constantly being kept up to date.
The Affiliate Lab is taught by SEO rockstar, Matt Diggity and his business partner, Jay Yap.
Matt and Jay’s method of earning money online focuses on SEO (search engine optimization). You may have come across Mat before via his website Diggity Marketing.
What I particularly like about the Affiliate Lab (and what I think really makes it stand out from a lot of other SEO courses out there) is that Matt’s method of SEO is based 100% on actual test results.
While SEO is an excellent way to build a long-term, sustainable business online, it is important to know that this method takes time. Don’t expect to join this course and have a website up and running, and making money in 30 days. This is the long-term play.
Having said that, if you like the idea of building a business that uses probably the most passive form of making money online, then the Affiliate Lab will be a great fit for you.
Affiliate SEO is also great for people people who are more introverted. You can build a website and be a “behind the scenes” person without having your face all over the internet. This suits a lot of people.
This course is taught via video lessons. When you join the Lab you’ll have access to a ton of information that covers pretty much every aspect of SEO that is working today.
The course teaches you everything from niche selection, to getting your site build and live, getting through the sandbox phase and all the way to authority mode. Then, if you want to sell your site in the future for a large pay day, the Lab teaches you that too.
Matt and Jay practice what they preach, and are constantly keeping the course updated. And whenever there’s a new Google update, Matt brings you the insiders date from all his test sites, as well as his portfolio of authority sites.
Between Matt Diggity and his colleagues, they usually figure out the new changes made by Google within a few days to a few weeks. If you’re in the Lab then you’ll get that information so you can stay on top of your game.
The Affiliate Lab also has a private Facebook group where other students of the course network, share ideas and offer help. As a member of the Lab myself, I can attest to this group being probably the most helpful one I am a member of.
The group is very active, and has a lot of successful affiliates in the group who are willing to help out new members.
What Skillsets Will You Acquire Through This Training?
After you’ve taken the course and applies the techniques you’ll know exactly what you need to do to rank in competitive niches. and if you know how to do that, then easy to moderate niches will become very easy for you as you hone your skills.
On top of this, you’ll also know how to monetize your sites in the most effective ways possible. This will enable you to squeeze as much value out of your traffic.
Most importantly, all Affiliate Lab members will have access to lots of resources, the latest SEO info, and peer support if you ever get stuck.
What Makes The Affiliate Lab Different?
There are a lot of SEO courses out there, but unfortunately, a lot of them are teaching out dated techniques, or are run by people who don’t actually make the bulk of their money from affiliate SEO.
The training in the Affiliate Lab, on the other hand, is based 100% on thousands of tests. Once the techniques have been proved to work in the real world, Affiliate Lab members will hear about it.
Course creator, Matt Diggity has a background in engineering, and he understands exactly how to test SEO techniques.
Between Matt Diggity and his elite SEO buddies, they have access to a huge portfolio of test sites that are constantly being used to test and measure SEO theories. Besides this, Matt and his SEO nerd friends also have a large portfolio of real affiliate sites.
Unlike a lot of other online marketing courses, the Affiliate Lab is constantly kept up to date. And once you’ve paid your one-time payment for membership, you get access to all future updates for life.
Matt keeps you in the loop on all the latest updates that Google makes. With this info you can then tweak and modify your sites and SEO strategy if you need to after a Google update. This way you can always stay on top of your game and keep your sites ranking well.
Basically, Matt’s the real deal, he does affiliate SEO for a living, and he makes a hell of a lot of money doing it too.
What’s Inside The Affiliate Lab
Once you get inside the Affiliate Lab you’ll, no doubt, be pleased to see that you actually get access to 8 other online courses in addition to the main Affiliate Lab course.
Besides this, you’ll also have access to Matt SEO checklists and SOP’s (standard operating procedures).
Let me break each section down for you so you know what’s inside.
First up, the main Affiliate Lab training. This core training contains 156 video lessons over 34 modules. This is the bulk of the affiliate SEO training, and teaches you pretty much everything you need to be an affiliate SEO ninja.

If you want to build a site from scratch with the intention to flip later then you’ll want to go through this training. And if you want to learn how to buy established sites, increase their value and then sell later on for a tidy profit then this course is a must.
You’ll learn exactly what makes a site valuable and sellable as well as quick wins to increase a sites profit and value. This course also covers how to prepare a site for sale, how to broker deals, and understanding deal structures.
Besides selling affiliate sites, this course also covers selling an Ecommerce store, and how to sell an SEO agency.
Pure value, in my opinion.
The Beginners Lab
If you’re new to SEO and website building then this is the course you’re gonna want to start with.
The Beginners Lab walks you through all the basics to help you get started the right way.
In here you’ll find 14 video tutorials on the following:
WP Pages and Posts
Categories and Tags
Website Traffic and Traffic Sources
Basics of Optimization
SEM Rush Overview
Next Steps In The Lab (ie affiliate SEO, Ecommerce SEO, Agency SEO, Facebook Ads)
Checklists & SOP’s
In this section you’ll get access to Matt’s checklists for both on page and off page SEO.
This is really useful for beginners and people who are new to Matt’s way of doing SEO. Use these checklists to help keep you on track as you’re building your sites.
The Truth About Penalties
Google updates and penalties are things that scare a lot of people out of SEO. But when you understand what’s actually going on, and what you need to do to recover if you get hit by one, then things suddenly get a lot easier, and less scary.
In fact, as long as you’re doing the right things, or “all the things”, as Matt puts it, then there really is not much to worry about.
Outreach refers to white hat link building methods that you can use to build safe links to your website that Google will love.
There’s quite a lot to know here so this course has 9 detailed modules and 64 video lessons in total.
This course teaches the do’s and don’ts of outreach as well as multiple ways to find good prospects, using outreach templates, how to negotiate, effective follow ups, creating link-worthy content, and setting up and tracking your campaigns.
Affiliate Email Marketing Masterclass
Effective email marketing can make a huge difference to your affiliate income. That’s why Matt’s also included his email marketing course in the Lab.
This course contains 8 video lessons:
Introduction to Email Marketing
Creating a Lead Magnet
How to Collect Email Leads
Email Marketing Software Checklist
Writing an Automated Email Followup Series
Manual Email Blasting
How To Supercharge With Paid Ads
Advanced Email Marketing Strategies
The Affiliate Portfolio Playbook
This course is all about hiring and outsourcing.
You can certainly run a successful affiliate marketing business as a one person band and make $10K+ per month. I did that for several years. But if you want to scale up, take your online business to the next level and earn considerably more money, or if you just want to free up your time, then you’re gonna need to build a team.
This course contains 13 video lessons to help you build your dream team of workers.
You’ll first learn about the 4 personality types, and which type is best suited to certain tasks and skills required for operating an affiliate SEO business.
Here are the lessons you’ll get access to in this training course:
Introduction: The Dream Team Overview
DISC Personality Assessment
The Importance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Writers: Hiring, Managing, Motivating
Content Editors: : Hiring, Managing, Motivating
Content Uploaders: Hiring, Managing, Motivating
Webinar: How To Conduct Effective Meetings
Link Builders: Hiring, Managing, Motivating
SEO Managers: Hiring, Managing, Motivating
Hiring and Recruitment
Web Developers: Hiring, Managing, Motivating
Virtual Assistants: Hiring, Managing, Motivating
Optimize Your Life
When it comes to working online it’s all too easy to ned up focusing too much of your time on work and letting your health slide.
In the Optimize Your Life section, Matt shares some highly valuable information to help you stay healthy, happy, motivated and energized to work.
Here’s what’s covered so far:
This section is still a fairly new addition to the Lab, so it’s highly likely that more content will be added here in the near future.
If you really want to nerd out on SEO and do your own testing then you’ll appreciate this new section that has been added to the Lab.
As I said earlier, Matt and his team are constantly running SEO tests, and they report back on what’s working in the course material updates and in the private Facebook group.
This is great for me because I’m not personally interested in running my own SEO tests. However, if this is of interest to you then you can learn exactly how to do it here in the Lab.
This course is still being added to, but here are the available lessons so far:
Introduction to SEO Testing
Using Google Search Console and Google Sheets to Run Time Based SEO Testing
Running Time Based and SEO Split Tests Using SEOtesting.com
As a member I can tell you there’s a lot to love about this course. The training is thorough and constantly updated, which is a must for me.
I also value the insiders info that Matt and his team give them members whenever there’s a new Google update. Having access to this info has saved my business on a number of occasions. In my opinion this is also an absolute must if you’re gonna be serious about SEO.
The private Facebook group is also excellent. It’s a highly active and supportive community with members ranging from complete beginners to highly experienced SEO specialists, some of which earn well over 6-figures per month form their SEO businesses.
I can honestly say that this is probably the most helpful Facebook group I’m a member of. There’s always someone (often multiple people) in the group who are keen to help and offer insight, help, support and guidance when needed.
In 2020 Matt also started a thread using a pole and asking each member to check which income bracket they fall into regarding their affiliate earnings. The purpose of this thread is each month a member from any given income bracket can reach out to a member who is in the bracket immediately below them (via private FB Messenger) and ask if they need help with anything they may be stuck with.
Basically, Matt wants to encourage all Lab members to help each other get to the next level. And you can also use the pole to see who’s in the bracket above you and reach out to them to ask for help too.
That’s pretty cool!
What I Think Could Be Improved
When you first get into the Lab it can be a little overwhelming as there’s just so much info available.
When I first joined I did find that the info was not organised in an easily navigatable way. However, in 2020 Matt also asked all members to give some feedback on how the course could be improved, and what other training they would like to see included. Since then, the organisation of course material has also been improved.
Who Should Take The Affiliate Lab Course?
This course is perfect for intermediate and experienced affiliate SEO’s as well as an absolute beginner.
If you’re looking to make money from home or start a new business, then this course could be a good fit for you.
If you like the idea of building a website to earn passive income from while you sleep then I definitely recommend the Affiliate Lab. That’s why I joined, and I can tell you from experience it is an excellent course.
If you are already an experienced SEO, but you feel that you don’t quite have the full picture, or if you’ve been foxed by some of the latest Google updates then the Affiliate Lab is also for you.
Thirdly, if you’re an experienced SEO and you want to plug into an advanced SEO community, then I would also recommend you join the Affiliate Lab. Once you’re in, you’ll get access to the private members Facebook group.
This is probably the most helpful group of marketers I’ve ever connected with.
Who Should Not Take The Affiliate Lab Course?
If you are looking for an online marketing course that will get you earning money within the next 30 days then the Affiliate Lab is not for you.
This method relies on building websites that will earn you passive income over time. Building a website takes time and dedication, so you need to be down with that if you want this method to work for you.
Affiliate Lab Pricing
Lifetime access to the Affiliate Lab is a one-time investment of $997. Once you’re in, you get full access to all future updates, including all the latest info on Google updates based on real-world tests, for life.
If you can’t afford to pay $997 all at once then you also have the option to pay in 2 instalments of $597. However, bear in mind that taking this option will be more expensive and set you back an additional $197.
So, if you absolutely know this course is right for you, then I highly encourage you to pay the one-time payment of $997 up front if you can possibly make that happen.
In my opinion the Affiliate Lab is an excellent course for both beginners and experienced affiliates who love earning passive income by building websites. And if you want to get into website flipping then this course is a must.
However, for beginners who are not interested in learning other income skills that the Lab teaches such as website flipping, hiring and outsourcing, and email marketing, but instead they only want a step-by-step authority blueprint for building an affiliate site then the Authority Site System is a great alternative.
The Authority Site System (a.k.a TASS) is a course for beginners to build a profitable affiliate site by following a step-by-step plan.
The Authority Site System is run by the guys behind the Authority Hacker brand, Gael Bretton and Mark Webster. I also have access to this course and I do highly rate it for beginners and low-experienced affiliate marketers who want to build an affiliate site. This course is also constantly kept up to date.
However, as I already mentioned, the Authority Site System does not teach you other skills that the Affiliate Lab does teach you, such as scaling up your business, hiring a team, flipping sites, buying established sites, email marketing etc.
Other Affiliate Courses You Might Like To Check Out
Overall, I think the Affiliate Lab is worth joining if you’re serious about making money online through SEO. This course will teach you how to do things right, and avoid mistakes that others have made before you.
If you like the idea of building passive income assets that can generate steady income for you, or if you want to learn how to buy existing websites to flip for a profit then this course is definitely for you.
Overall, I give the Affiliate Lab by Matt Diggity 4.8 stars out of 5. The only potential drawback (in my opinion) is potential information overload. There’s just so much content in the course. However, it really just comes down to how you approach it.
Don’t expect to get into the Lab and learn everything in a weekend. It’s gonna take some time.
Having said that, if you like the idea of having lifetime access to a course that is constantly updated, and one that you can rely on to support your learning for years to come, then the Affiliate Lab is a no-brainer!
After reading this Affiliate Lab review, if you now want in then you can get $200 off the course by clicking the button below.
Buyer Beware: This course has produced successful students, however, the found a number of bad reviews from unhappy customers about this course. Refund policy is not straightforward. Join at your own risk
Commission Hero is an online marketing course that promises to teach you how to make money online from home using Facebook ads. The course is sold through the ClickBank affiliate marketplace.
Although the sales page comes across a little over-hyped, Commission Hero has produced quite a few students who have had considerable success using the methods Robby teaches.
The course is taught through video using a step-by-step training approach to show you what you need to do at each step of the way.
The course is aimed at both beginners and experienced affiliates who want to learn how to generate traffic and sales using paid ads.
Commission Hero is run by ClickBank’s top affiliate, Robby Blanchard, and basically teaches you how to promote affiliate offers online using paid ads.
You, like me, may have seen Robby’s very enticing YouTube ads offering to teach you how to make $1,000 per day online using his system. Robby also shows a number of impressive income reports from past students, which makes his method look even more desirable.
Who Is Robby Blanchard?
Robby Blanchard, the creator of Commission Hero, is an affiliate marketer with a long-established reputation. He’s also the guy behind Commission Hero.
Before Robby found success as an affiliate marketer, he used to be a personal fitness trainer and gym owner. He reputedly grew up in Massachusetts and studied at Fitchburg State University.
After a bit of research I found his old CrossFit YouTube Channel, which you can take a look at here. The last video was published on this channel back in 2012.
In 2015 Robby began selling his own digital courses in the fitness space by using Facebook ads. Although Robby had some success selling his own courses, he segued into promoting affiliate offers using Facebook ads.
After 4 years honing his methods, Robby Blanchard became the number one affiliate on ClickBank in 2019.
ClickBank is one of the largest and most well-known affiliate networks in the world, and Robby claims to be making anywhere between $10,000 – $50,000 per day using the methods he teaches in Commission Hero.
Since Commission Hero first launched, Robby has trained quite a few successful affiliate marketers to build a solid business using paid ads.
Commission Hero teaches a simple, but effective affiliate marketing strategy using paid ads.
These basically the steps of the system:
Choose a product to promote on the ClickBank marketplace
Build a landing page using ClickFunnels (Robby gives you DFY templates you can use straight away)
Create Facebook ads to send traffic to your landing page. Your landing page will either sell the affiliate product directly, or collect emails so you can sell people products via email on the back end
This is a well-known and popular affiliate marketing model that is definitely effective. However, you need to bear in mind that this is somewhat a risky strategy for the following reasons:
You need to pay for your traffic (Facebook ads) before you make sales
Facebook ads are expensive, and you will need to keep reinvesting a percentage of your earnings to buy more ads
Facebook is trigger-happy when it comes to shutting ad accounts down. Robby basically says that this will happen, it’s just part of the process, so he shows you how to get multiple ad accounts approved
If you like the idea of being able to generate traffic quickly using paid ads, you have money to invest in ads, and you accept that your ad accounts can get shut down from time to time then this course might be a good fit for you.
In that case, a good place to start would be to sign up for Robby’s free training first. If you like what he teaches in this free training then it may make sense for you to sign up for his full course.
Robby is certainly making money with his method, and a lot of it too. Don’t let me put you off if you accept how his process works, and his method appeals to you.
Please also be aware of the Commission Hero refund policy before you sign up (see below).
It is also important to bear in mind that this method of affiliate marketing is not passive. Turn off your ads and basically you no longer have a business.
You need to stay active, buying and managing your ads, and tweaking your landing page.
If you want to generate passive income then you should also look into free organic traffic methods that you could also use along side this system.
Being able to get support when you need it is crucial when you learn a new skill. When you join Commission Hero you’ll have full access to the private members group. Here you can get 24/7 help and support, get your questions answered, and share your wins with other members.
Robby Blanchard’s Million Dollar Ad Images
When you’re using Facebook ads the images you use can literally make or break your entire campaign. Over the years Robby had collected more than 20 images that have resulted in him making millions of dollars. When you join Commission Hero you will also get access to this private image library.
Facebook Super Profits Training System
The Facebook Super Profits Training System is Robby’s compilation of ninja tactics that he’s learned over the years. Inside you’ll find useful things like tactics to scale your business, tricks to help you get more ad accounts, how to get product owners to increase your commissions, and methods to improve your profitability by as much as 25%.
Done-For-You Landing Pages
Setting up your landing pages can be a pain, especially if you haven’t ever built them before. On top of that, being able to build landing pages that actually convert visitors into sales is a skill that you can only acquire through a lot of practice.
To solve this issue, Robby is also will also give you access to all the landing page templates he’s used to make millions of dollars online. This is a huge time-saver!
Commission Hero Bonuses
Weekly Q&A Calls
Weekly live Q&A calls where you can ask Robby anything about affiliate marketing. If you’re having any issues then these sessions will be invaluable for you.
Million Dollar Rolodex of Contacts
It’s not totally clear what the Million dollar Rolodex of Contacts is. However, from my own affiliate marketing experience I would say this is most likely to be Robby’s little black book of product owner contact details.
If I am right about this then the Million Dollar Rolodex of Contacts would give you direct access to all the best product owners that Robby has promoted over the years.
This indeed would be quite a valuable benefit. Firstly, the list would not only tell you exactly which products Robby Blanchard has had the most success promoting. Secondly, it’ll give you the contact details of these product owners so you can strike your own deals with them.
I have made many private deals myself with product owners and negotiated higher commissions. This is an excellent way to bump up your pay check.
Robby’s main traffic source is Facebook ads, but in the course you’ll also get access to a bonus module which teaches you how to advertise on Snapchat.
$10K Per Month Email Marketing Campaign
This is a bonus training module to teach you how to run successful email marketing campaigns that will actually result in sales.
If you qualify for the bonuses when you sign up for Commission Hero you’ll also get connected to a “Facebook insider”. This is someone (most likely one of Robby’s successful students) who can be a direct mentor for you and show you all the insider ninja hacks of using Facebook to make money as an affiliate.
Are Commission Hero Students Getting Results?
From my research into Robby Blanchard and the Commission Hero system it does look like a significant amount of students are getting success with his system.
While both Robby and his successful students are making money, what is not clear is how much of the money they are earning is actually profit.
When using paid ads to generate traffic you will, of course, need to keep reinvesting a percentage of your earnings back into buying more ads. But how much is that percentage..?
If, for example, an average of 60% is profit while 40% gets reinvested back into buying more ads, then the system definitely makes sense.
Who Should Join Commission Hero?
If you’re looking for a solid system to make money online taught by one of the world’s top affiliates who actually practices what he preaches then Commission Hero may be a good fit for you.
It’s important to know that this system uses paid ads in order to generate traffic. You’ll need to already have at least a few hundred dollars that you are willing to spend on ads when you first start the course.
If you’re willing to put the time in to learn Robby’s approach, and you like the idea of being able to generate traffic quickly by spending some money on paid ads then I would say that Commission Hero is a good choice for you.
If you do not feel comfortable spending money on ads to generate traffic, or if you don’t have a few hundred dollars that you can invest into paid ads, then Commission Hero is not the right course for you.
If that’s the case then you may be better suited to working with an affiliate marketing method that uses free traffic.
Although building an affiliate business with free traffic takes longer, this method will be a more passive income model for the long-term once it’s established.
If you like the idea of building long-term, passive income using free traffic methods then I recommend you check out the following courses instead:

What I Like About Commission Hero
Real Coach Who Practices What He Preaches
Robby Blanchard is the real deal and is making a lot of money online with the method he teaches in the course. He’s also the number one ClickBank affiliate, which is a huge achievement.
There are lots of courses out there that are taught by people who don’t actually use the method they teach themselves. Even worse, there are also people who sell courses that don’t actually make money from the methods they teach, but are only making money form selling you the course.
I hate that!
Robby is not one of those guys.
Using Facebook ads is a good way to generate fast, targeted traffic, but it has its drawbacks.
High Income Potential
This method has the potential to yield a high income, but there are risks involved that students need to accept before proceeding.
What I Don’t Like About Commission Hero
The Refund Policy
Commission Hero has quite a strange refund policy.
Basically, they want to make sure you’ve been through the course and have actually tried to make it work before requesting a refund.
I get this, as there are a lot of unscrupulous people out there who will buy a course, learn the strategies and then just ask for a refund anyway.
However, what I don’t like is that they make you wait 12 months before you can request a refund. And then you need to prove that you have given the system a good go and not been successful.
Personally, the refund policy is something I think they should change.
It Relies On Using Facebook Ads
The system relies on using Facebook ads to generate traffic.
Personally, I like to diversify my traffic sources and not rely on just one. Facebook are also notorious for shutting ad accounts down, and Commission Hero students seem to get quite a few accounts banned.
Robby teaches his students not to get phased by this, and instead, set up multiple Facebook ad accounts.
Having said this, there are quite a few students in the Commission Hero community that are having a lot of success with this method, so it’s not the end of the world if an ad account gets shut down here and there.
It Relies On Using ClickFunnels
Another thing I don’t like about Commission Hero is that it also relies on using ClickFunnels for landing pages and sales funnels.
Inside the course Robby Blanchard gives you access to done-for-you funnel templates that you can use straight away. On the one hand, this is great because it means you don’t need to waste time building the funnels yourself. And these templates have also been proven to work.
While I do think ClickFunnels is a great software, my gripe is that it’s quite expensive, especially when you’ve just paid for the course and you also need to have a budget to spend on ads.
No, the Commission Hero course is not a scam. The methods taught are legit, and Robby also has several successful students. However, the refund policy is questionable.
During my research I also came across both positive and negative student feedback about this course. The negative feedback was mostly about the refund policy, the lack of support, and access issues for some students.
Due to these thee things, I recommend you do your due diligence before signing up for this course.
Commission Hero Best Alternative
I definitely agree that you can make a lot of money with affiliate marketing using Facebook ads. However, there are a number of risks and considerations involved.
For example, you’ll need to constantly be managing your ad accounts, and tweaking your campaigns. It’s also clear that Facebook ad accounts get shut down on a regular basis, which can stall your business until you get another one set up.
Using affiliate marketing you can actually make money steadily, reliably and passively without having to pay for ads. This is my preferred method. It comes down to personal preference, you don’t have to agree with me.
If you want a low risk way to build a successful affiliate business that can earn you hundreds or even thousands of dollars per day without having to pay for ads then I recommend Affiliate Secrets 3.0 by Spencer Mecham.
Spencer is a 7-figure affiliate, the number one ClickFunnels affiliate, as well as the top affiliate for several other well-known products too.
In his Affiliate Secrets 3.0 course, Spencer teaches you how to build multiple streams of income that will earn you money passively. That means if you want to take a month off to travel, spend time with you family, etc, you can do that and your business will continue to run and earn you money while you’re away.
Having read numerous reports and testimonials from people who have used Commission Hero, this course definitely looks like the real thing.
Commission Hero claims to be the easiest affiliate marketing system ever, but this is far from the truth. It may take time to see the pay off, but looking at the results a lot of the students are getting it should be well worth the effort.
Robby Blanchard, the founder of Commission Hero, explains that his program is not a “get rich quick scheme.” The training is designed to help you build a long-term, sustainable business. It will take time and commitment on your part.
Robby is certainly making money with his method, and a lot of it too. Don’t let me put you off if you accept how his process works and you like the above method. Overall, I’m more of a free traffic guy so I’m more inclined to lean towards systems that don’t require you to spend money on ads.

What I Thought of The Legendary Marketer 15 Day Online Business Builder Challenge?
I first heard about the Legendary Marketer 15 Day Online Business Builder Challenge from people I network with on Facebook.
If I’m honest, I initially thought that Legendary will be a here today, gone tomorrow product, but time has proven that not to be the case.
After seeing several successful people that I respect in the online marketing world had also got involved with Legendary, and were saying good things about it, I started to wonder if I was mission out on something.
Since the Legendary Marketer 15 Day Online Business Builder Challenge was so inexpensive ($7), I decided to check it out for myself.
I was firstly impressed with how well the content was presented and delivered. Each lesson is broken down into daily modules, which makes it very easy to follow and stay on track.
Each day begins with a main video lesson with Dave as he introduces you to new concepts, and instructs you on what to do next. Each module automatically unlocks as you progress through the course, which I also think is a great way to keep students focused on the right topics.
Each daily module will unlock a new training, and interspersed with among the modules are various Legendary Marketer bonuses (see below) that you will gain access to.
On day 3 you can also schedule a 1-to-1 call with a business advisor to help you with any blocks or questions that you might be having.
All in all, I was very impressed with the level of training, and all the bonuses that are offered for such a low price of $7.
And having worked online myself for several years before I went through this training program, I can attest that Dave is showing you the exact strategy that pretty much all the really successful marketers are using to grow their business.

Email marketing has been around for decades. It’s a powerful tool that allows businesses to connect with their customers in a way that was never possible before.
But is it still relevant in 2021 and beyond?
The short answer is, yes, and these email marketing statistics prove it.
While some people think that email marketing has had its heyday, the stats don’t show that to be the case. Now more than ever email marketing is bringing a higher ROI for every $1 spent.
Here in this article we’ve curated the most important email marketing metrics to help you improve your campaigns and take advantage of this all important business communication channel.

If you’re wondering how to start affiliate marketing with no money then it absolutely can be done.
In fact, it’s how most affiliate marketers begin online, including myself.
While you’ll get traction faster if you have some money to invest, some of the strategies I’m gonna teach you in this article can bring results within the first few months (possibly even within your first month) if you put the work in.
If you’re starting with no money then you also need to have realistic expectations.
While many affiliates earn a healthy income, some have been able to generate life changing money in just a few short years. However, if you’re just getting started then it’s gonna take some time for you to learn a few important skills.
With that being said, here in this beginners guide, I’m gonna teach you the fastest and most effective ways to launch an affiliate business with no money, (number 2 is my favourite).
Affiliate Marketing With No Money Overview
When it comes to making money with affiliate marketing, the aim of the game is to put the right products in front of the right people, and get them to click your affiliate link.
And to do this you need to be able to tap into a traffic source. Fortunately, there are several good ones out there that you can use. There are free organic traffic sources, and others will cost you money.
For example, if you have a budget behind you then it’s easy to pay for ads to send people to affiliate offers. This is a fast way to make money as an affiliate.
However, if you have no money then you will need to rely on using organic traffic like Google, YouTube, and a few other social media platforms.
Don’t worry, it’s not necessary to use paid ads to build your affiliate business. Even after 8 years as an affiliate marketer myself, I still prefer to use free traffic sources over paid ads.
Starting Affiliate Marketing With Zero Money Up Front
Using any of the free platforms I recommend below, you can send people directly to products via your referral link. And since almost every affiliate program out there is free to join, this shouldn’t cost you any money.
If you’re consistent with your content strategy then you will make some money doing this.
However, if you are serious about your affiliate business, and want to scale up to the point where you are making job-replacing, or even life-changing income, then you should also focus on building an audience and email list at the same time.
You can then continue to market to your list for months of even years to come.
To do this you’ll need 3 things:
A lead magnet
A landing page
An email autoresponder
If you want to take this next step then I’m going to tell you how you can do it with a few software tools that you can use completely free later in this article.

Getting Started With Affiliate Marketing
Before I get into the 5 different methods to start affiliate marketing for free, there are a few preliminary steps you need to take.
Choose a Niche For Affiliate Marketing
Make sure you choose a niche that is popular, profitable, and one that you have enough interest in to be able to produce content on the topic on a regular basis.
Content marketing will be at the heart of your online business, and you’ll need to be able to constantly find new content ideas. So the more familiar you are with the niche, the better.
You don’t need to be an expert in the niche. In fact, you can take the stance of ‘the learner’, and make a large part of your content strategy about showing people what you’ve been learning.
Choose The Right Products
Make sure you choose a product(s) that will pay you a decent commission. If you’re promoting products that only pay you a few dollars then you’ll struggle to make money with affiliate marketing.
Personally, I recommend avoiding the Amazon Associates program because they pay such small commissions, and only give you a 24-hour cookie life.
As an Amazon affiliate you’re gonna have to make a lot of sales every month to make good money.
Instead, choose high-paying affiliate programs that will pay you at least a few hundred dollars per sale. This way even just a few sales per month can make a big difference.
The next thing you need to do is bring the traffic to your offers. Below are 5 ways you can bring the traffic for free.
5 Ways To Start Making Money As An Affiliate With No Money
Here are 5 effective ways to build an affiliate business with no money. Methods 4 and 5 are not passive strategies as they require you to constantly be active in order to keep making sales.
Methods 1, 2, and 3 can be passive strategies since they rely on a search engine algorithm.
This means you put in the work on the front end to create content, which will continue to receive traffic for years to come.
And continuous traffic = continuous potential to keep making sales!
Method 1: Blog For Free On Medium
Blogging is a great way to make money with affiliate marketing.
If you want to use a blog for affiliate marketing, but you don’t have money, then you can use a free blogging platform called Medium.
You can open an account and start blogging straight away. The down side of using Medium is that you don’t own your blog, Medium does.
However, the up sides are that you can add affiliate links in your posts, your articles will have the potential to get quick traffic from other Medium users, and your posts can also rank in search engines like Google.
If you like the idea of blogging, but you have absolutely 0 money, then Medium is a great place to start.
Step 1: Open an account with Medium
Step 2: Research the type of content your ideal audience will like to consume. You can use free keyword research tool called UberSuggest to help you find keywords.
If you’re using a free UberSuggest account then you’ll be limited on the number of keywords that it will show you, but it’s a good place to start.
Simply enter your seed keyword, click ‘enter’, and then sort through all the long-tail keywords the tools bring back for you.
Step 3: Choose a topic you would like to write about from your keyword list.
Search Google for your keyword and take a look at the articles appearing on page 1. This will give you ideas of what you need to include in your article.
Don’t copy other people’s articles, but you can use them for inspiration to guide your own writing.
Look to see if you can improve on their content in any way. Perhaps they’ve missed one or two important points. You may also be able to expand on what they’ve written to make a better article.
Check their content length by copy/pasting their content into wordcounter.net, and aim to write a similar length article.
Step 4: Write your first blog post! Don’t just write crap for the sake of it. Always strive to post valuable content. In the long run you will make more sales from higher quality articles.
Don’t only write articles with commercial intent, but also aim to provide value through informational content too. You can link your articles together through internal linking so readers can easily find your other posts.
Step 5: Make sure your article has good SEO (search engine optimization). If you’re new to SEO then take a look at this beginners guide to SEO here.
Step 6: Add your promotional links in your content, and publish!
Step 7: Repeat steps 2-6 over and over again. Aim to publish at least 1 blog post per week, but preferably more if you can.
As a content creator, writing blog posts is time-consuming. But as your affiliate revenue grows you can put your content creation on autopilot by outsourcing this task to places like Fiverr.
Method 2: Create Videos On YouTube
This is one of my favourite methods to build passive income online, and a great source of organic traffic.
I love this platform because it’s completely free to use, it’s a solid way to build an online presence, and even new channels have the potential for videos to go viral.
YouTube generally has higher-converting traffic than some of the other methods in this article, so it’s well worth your time.
By creating helpful content on YouTube, and directing people to click your affiliate link in the video’s description, you can get good traction here and potentially make a lot of affiliate sales.
Step 1: Open a YouTube account
Step 2: Research your competitors on YouTube to see what they’re making videos about.
Go to their channel and sort by ‘most popular’. This will show you which of their videos are receiving the most amount of views.
Watch some of the vides to see how you can improve on them. Perhaps they missed out important info that you can talk about.
Step 3: Make a list of all the videos you can make.
A great place to start is by creating product review videos and then leaving your promotional link in the description. However, if you want to build an audience that trusts you then don’t just create videos with commercial intent.
Some other type of content you can create include:
How to videos
Comparison videos (commercial)
Best X for Y (commercial)
Make sure each piece of content offers value.
Step 4: Choose a topic and shoot your first video. During your video, let your audience known that you have a link to the product in the description.
Step 5: Upload your video to YouTube, add your affiliate link in the description and hit publish!
Step 6: Aim to publish around 1 video per week.
Method 3: Use Pinterest
Pinterest is another social network that allows you to send people directly to affiliate offers via your pins.
While Pinterest is a great social media channel for affiliates, you’re only really gonna have success if you’re in a niche that’s one of the most popular Pinterest categories. If that’s the case, then this platform can work great for you.
Step 1: Create a Pinterest business account.
Step 2: Create a few boards on different topics in your niche. Aim for around 20 boards.
Step 3: Create multiple graphics for your pins using Canva.
In Canva they have a Pinterest image template you can use so you’ll be creating the right size image. The free version of Canva will have lots of images and templates for you to use, but if you still need more images then you can get some more free ones from pixabay.com.
Step 4: Also pin other peoples stuff to your boards to fill them out.
Step 5: Upload a Pinterest image you just created and add your referral link in the description. Make sure the affiliate product you are promoting is relevant to your niche, and also relevant to the pin.
Step 6: Upload more pins.
Step 7: Continue re-pinnning your pins with the different graphics you created.
Step 6: Aim to post a minimum of 5 pins per day, and a maximum of 10.
This is a very effective affiliate marketing strategy that a lot of beginners start with. However, it is getting kinda saturated if you want to work in the MMO (make money online) space.
Having said that, it still works if you do it right, and there is also huge opportunity with this method in other niches too.
This method relies on using a personal Facebook profile (not a business page) to build an audience of people.
Step 1: Create a Facebook page
Step 2: Join Facebook groups in your niche
Step 3: Post helpful niche-related content on your own Facebook profile on a daily basis (minimum once per day, ideally more if you can). Make sure that each piece of content offers value.
Step 4: Post a few product related posts to your own profile (post at a minimum a 3:1 ratio of value to commercial posts, however, more value posts and less commercial is recommended in order to build trust)
Step 5: Constantly look to add people to your friends list on a daily basis (around 50 per day is a good number to aim for – you can add up to 5,000, which is a great sized audience)
Step 6: Post helpful info (not selling anything) in the Facebook groups that you’ve joined, and also answer people’s questions to help them out and build trust
Step 7: Build relationships with the group members, start private conversations to and be as helpful as possible
Step 8: Sales come from either people visiting your Facebook profile and reading your monetized posts, or via direct recommendation through Facebook messenger once you’ve built up trust and rapport (always offer value first and then recommend a suitable product once the time is right).
Method 5: Use TikTok
For this method you’ll need to link your TikTok profile to a landing page, not directly to an affiliate link. (See below for free landing page software).
TikTok has only been around since 2017, but it’s gained massive popularity due to its ability to generate millions of views from a single video, quickly. Because of this, TikTok has quickly become one of the best social media channels for making money.
Thousands of marketers have taken advantage of this, and now use it to drive huge amounts of traffic to affiliate products super-fast.
It works like Instagram where users take pictures and share them with their followers. The difference here though, is that instead of sharing photos, people share short 15-60 second video clips.
When I first heard about TikTok I thought it was just for kids, but that’s not the case.
In the beginning TikTok mainly attracted teens who wanted to post dance videos. But now, over 4 years later, the platform has people of all ages, and loads of them are making a lot of money with it too in all kinds of niches.
I even heard of people promoting real estate deals that have resulted in thousands of dollars in sales, so don’t underestimate this platform.
Step 1: Open a free TikTok account and choose a name for your channel that represents what you’re all about. Write a short call to action (CTA) in your channel description with a link to your landing page
Step 2: Take a look at other people who are using the platform and who are also creating content in your niche. Analyze their most popular videos to see what kind of content is working for them
Step 3: Brainstorm as many content ideas as possible that you can create videos on. With TikTok you’ll want to post videos frequently (ideally once per day, but at least 4-5 videos per week) so it’s important to have as many video ideas as possible that you can dip into
Step 4: Create your video and post it. Make sure to leave a call to action in each of your videos to encourage people to click your landing page link in your channel description. Repeat.

Bonus Strategy – Start YOUR OWN Blog (completely owned by you) For Around $10
This is something a lot of people don’t know about yet. You can use software called GrooveFunnels for free to build an affiliate blog.
The only thing you’ll need to pay for is a domain name, which you can get for around $10 (use Namecheap). Apart from that, you will be able to build a fully-functional blog for affiliate marketing that will be hosted on Groove for free.
On the GrooveFunnels free plan you’ll get access to 3 apps – GroovePages, GrooveSell, and GrooveAffiliate.
Once you open your free account, navigate to the GroovePages app. This is where you will be able to build your blog.
You can use GroovePages to build up to 3 affiliate sites on the free plan, which is plenty for you to start making money. However, bear in mind that you’ll need to register a new domain name for each site, which will cost you around $10 per domain name.
Here’s a video to show you how to quickly build an affiliate site in GroovePages if you’ve never built a website before.
Once your site is set up, follow the strategy outlined in method one above for blogging on Medium, except publish your blog posts to your Groove site instead of on Medium.
Taking It To The Next Level – Build An Audience & Email List For Free
If you want to take it to the next level so you can build job-replacing, or even life-changing passive income then you should also build an email list.
With a list you can use a pre-written email series to build trust with your audience, offer them helpful info, and, of course, promote products that will help them.
This is one of the most important marketing techniques that you can learn.
Not building a list at the the beginning of my affiliate journey was one of the biggest mistakes I made when I first got started.
Back then there were no marketing tools to do this for free. Fortunately, now there are.
Here’s an image of what this system will look like once you have it set up.
The bridge page step is optional. Once your lead enters their email address and clicks the ‘submit’ button, you can instantly redirect them to a bridge page.
An affiliate bridge page usually consists of a headline, a short video (around 1min) of you introducing a special offer, and a button to purchase the offer.
Using a bridge page is an effective way to increase your affiliate revenue at the first instance your subscriber joins your list.
Over time, your subscribers will receive emails from you with helpful info, tips and products that can help them. And you will make further affiliate commissions on any product they purchase in the future via your emails.
3 Things You Need To Build a List
1. Lead Magnet
2. A landing page, or affiliate bridge page funnel
3. Email marketing software
Free Email Marketing Software
There are several great email marketing tools that you can use to build your email list for free up to 500 subscribers.
This is plenty to get you started, and by then you should be making more than enough money to upgrade to a paid account.
A lot of email marketing companies like MailChimp and ActiveCampaign, are not friendly towards affiliates.
Fortunately though, there are a few affiliate friendly platforms out there that you can use.
I recommend using either Aweber of GetResponse. These are 2 of the biggest players in the industry. They understand affiliate marketing so they won’t shut you down for adding an affiliate link in your emails.
Free Landing Page & Sales Funnel Builder
There is also a free landing page and sales funnel builder you can use. It’s called GrooveFunnels.
Groove has a basic account, which is a completely free plan, and includes:
Yes! It can absolutely make you rich. In fact, some of the top earners in the world today were once struggling entrepreneurs who now earn life-changing money with affiliate marketing.
In order to earn a decent income, however, you need to build a target audience and learn how to build trust with potential customers. You should always strive to provide value before asking for anything in return.
This means providing high quality content, or valuable information, which helps them solve problems or fulfil needs.
Is affiliate marketing easy?
No! If it was easy everyone would be doing it. The truth is, it takes time and effort to become a successful affiliate marketer. However, when you start getting results, things begin to change quickly and get easier as your skillset improves.
How much affiliate revenue can you earn through affiliate links?
The amount you can earn from affiliate marketing programs varies hugely. It depends a lot on the types of products you choose to promote. Some companies only pay a few dollars, or a small percentage per affiliate sale, whereas others can pay as much as 100% for the first sale in order to acquire a customer.
There are also high paying programs out there that will pay you several thousand dollars per sale. If you’re an affiliate for products that pay you these kinds of numbers, then you can earn a considerable affiliate income for your efforts.
Having said that, a good general ballpark percentage for affiliate commissions can look like this:
Physical products typically between 2 – 20% per sale
Digital product typically between 30-50% per sale
There are several types of affiliate programs. Some will pay you per sale, however, there are also loads out there that pay per lead, and some will even pay you monthly or yearly recurring commissions.
Depending on the product it is also sometimes possible to negotiate higher commissions with your affiliate manager.
Who is the top affiliate marketer?
There are lots of highly successful affiliates out there (super affiliates). The majority of them stay out of the limelight so you’ll likely never hear of those people.
In the internet marketing space there are 5 highly successful affiliates that I like to follow because they share great advice (listed in no particular order):
Authority Hacker (Gael Bretton & Mark Webster)
Liam James Kay
Can you do affiliate marketing without an audience?
You don’t necessarily need a huge audience if you want to succeed as an affiliate. There are a few ways you can promote other people’s products that does not rely on you building an email list or having a huge social presence.
A blog that does not collect email addresses is the most common method. In this way, the blogger will merely link to affiliate offers from blog posts. This method works, but it is no where near as effective as building a list and a target audience.
How many followers do I need for affiliate marketing?
It depends on your affiliate strategy. If you are only blogging then you don’t need any followers at all to make sales form your website. If you are relying on social media then, yes, you will need to build an audience and attract followers. Having said that, you need surprisingly few followers to start making sales, you just need to find the right people and build trust with them.
If you are using YouTube then your subscriber count is not really a very important metric when it comes to selling affiliate products. However, what does matter on this platform is your video views and watch time.
Which website platform is best for affiliates?
If you want to build an affiliate website then WordPress is the best platform to use. WordPress is user-friendly and there are loads of things you can do with your site to make it faster, improve your conversion rates, etc. A lot of this additional functionality comes through 3rd party plugins and scripts. If you’re using a different platform then you may not be able to add the same functions to your site.
Which Is The Best affiliate Program?
There are loads of great affiliate marketing programs out there, some are run privately, while others are hosted on networks. Some of the best affiliate networks include ClickBank, Commission Junction (CJ Affiliate), ShareASale, Impact, PartnerStack, and Partnerize.
If you’re just starting out as an affiliate, it can be hard to know where to start to make money with affiliate marketing.
There are quite a few different strategies that you can try, but without guidance it can be very difficult to know which one will be right for you.
Rather than overwhelm yourself with all the possibilities, I recommend you choose just one of the marketing channels above and stick to it for at least 3 months. These methods won’t make your new affiliate marketing business explode overnight, but they will get you started quickly without a budget behind you.
Starting out with no money takes time and patience, but at the end of the day it’s how most of us also got started, so you’re in good company!
Although it’s not free, there is a 15 day affiliate business builder challenge you can take for just $7. If you’re just getting started then it will teach you everything you need to know to to accelerate your success.
If you’re looking to start an affiliate marketing business then this Affiliate Secrets 3.0 review may hold the answer to you getting started quickly.
There’s loads of courses out there – some are very good, while others are a complete waste of money.
There are also several approaches you can take to building a profitable affiliate business. It’s important to choose one that suits your personality and other commitments that you have in your life.
Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to tell which course will be a good fit for you. Often, people get half way through the material before realising that the methods being taught just don’t suit them.
That’s happened to me before and I don’t want it to happen to you. So I’m gonna break down the Affiliate Secrets 3.0 course here in my review.
Since I purchased the Affiliate Secrets course myself I’m gonna tell you everything that’s inside, highlight the good points and expose the not so good things too.
I’ll also tell you exactly who this course is a good fit for, and who should avoid it.
Learn the most effective affiliate marketing strategies from one of the most successful affiliates in the world.
The course includes lots of ninja tactics and covers multiple traffic sources including YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Blogging and AdWords.
What Is Affiliate Secrets 3.0?
Affiliate Secrets 3.0 is a complete and thorough affiliate marketing course, created and taught by super affiliate, Spencer Mecham.
Spencer’s made millions as an affiliate over the last few years, and he teaches everything he knows inside his Affiliate Secrets course.
Spencer first launched Affiliate Secrets 1.0 back in 2017, and he had a number students who achieved a lot of success using his methods.
Affiliate Secrets 2.0 then launched in 2018, which was an updated version, and a refinement of Spencer’s methods. This course lead to a ton of successful students and put Spencer on the map as a leader in affiliate marketing space.
Now on its 3rd edition, Spencer has updated the Affiliate Secrets course once again with pretty much a complete over-hall.
While the core structure of his methods remains pretty much the same, the 3.0 version now has more techniques to help you make money as an affiliate, and a huge new traffic system too.
As Spencer’s method has evolved over the recent years he’s done away with a few traffic sources that he no longer uses, and has replaced them with the methods that are bringing him the most success. In particular these are YouTube, blogging, TikTok and Facebook groups.
While these traffic sources are his focus since he is a big advocator of building passive income on free traffic sources, he does also have a cool AdWords section in the course for fast money. But I’ll get into that a little bit later in this Affiliate Secrets 3.0 review.
Spencer Mecham is a highly successful affiliate marketer who is best known for becoming the number one ClickFunnels affiliate.
He was the first ClickFunnels affiliate to break $1,000,000 in commissions, and become a member of the prestigious 2 Comma Club.
Needless to say, he’s a ClickFunnels Dream Car winner. However, he’s also won the BuilderAll Dream Car, and is one of the top affiliates for Legendary Marketer too.
His business brand is called Buildapreneur, and centralizes around his blog buildapreneur.com, his YouTube channel, and his Facebook group known as Automation Nation.
Besides working in the affiliate marketing niche, Spencer is also in the cryptocurrency space and the real estate niche, where he also does very well as an affiliate.
Since first launching his Affiliate Secrets course, Spencer has also been directly attributed to helping quite a few other online marketers win the ClickFunnels Dream Car award through his training.
By now, if you think that the Affiliate Secrets 3.0 course is all about promoting ClickFunnels, it isn’t.
In fact, Spencer says in the course that he doesn’t promote them as much as he used to nowadays, although he still loves their product and actively uses it in his business.
If you decide to join the Affiliate Secrets course then you, like me, will likely also be pleasantly surprised that Spencer isn’t even gonna try to upsell you on a ClickFunnels account as a must-have in order to make his affiliate marketing strategies work.
Spencer Mecham still does advocate using a funnel as a core part of your affiliate strategy. However, in Affiliate Secrets 3.0 he tells you about several different options you can use (including one free option if you have a WordPress site), all without dropping an affiliate link on you.
The Affiliate Secrets course is mostly geared towards helping you build a profitable affiliate marketing business using free traffic sources.
Spencer is a big advocator of search-based, organic traffic (Google, YouTube, etc) that you can put work into on the front end and will keep paying you for years to come.
Basically, if you’re looking to build a brand online that is mostly centered around using free traffic, and setting up systems that will continue to earn you affiliate commissions passively for years to come then Affiliate Secrets 3.0 can be a great fit for you.
As I mentioned above, Spencer does also teach a cool AdWords method to help you to earn some quick money with PPC (pay per click) ads. But it is only a very small section of the course, and is more like an add-on module for you to keep in your back pocket for when you need some quick money.
Having said that, Spencer does say in the course that a person should be able to make 5 figures per month using this method if they focused in on it, so this module is definitely worth checking out.
The Affiliate Secrets course is not for anyone who is looking for a get-rich-quick scheme, or who is not willing to put in the work to get the results.
If you are mostly interested in learning how to do affiliate marketing with paid traffic then this course will also not be the best fit for you.

When you invest in Affiliate Secrets and login to your members area, you will first see what looks like 2 different courses.
You will get access to – Affiliate Secrets 3.0 (the core modules), and Affiliate Secrets 3.0 Traffic Edition.
This might be confusing at first, but Spencer has separated the core modules out from the traffic modules. He has done this to make it easier for you to navigate the course material as there is a hell of a lot of training in the entire course (61 videos in the core strategies section, and 117 videos in the traffic edition – 178 training videos in total).
Rest assured, you will absolutely get access to the full Affiliate Secrets training course, and all the modules.
So, in the core modules section you’ll first watch 3 videos where Spencer explains a high-level overview of his effective affiliate marketing strategy.
Then, once you’ve seen his roadmap, he’ll then lead you through the following modules:
Module 1 – How to pick a niche (1 video lesson)
Picking a good niche is a crucial part of having success as an affiliate.
This module delves into what makes a good niche, how to identify a good one, and then how to sub-niche down to where you can really hone in on your target audience.
Module 2 – How to choose good affiliate products (1 video lesson)
Unfortunately, not all products out there are good to promote. If you choose the wrong ones then you stand to make very little or no money.
Spencer tells you which types of affiliate programs you should be looking for in order to have success and make a high income as an affiliate.
In this module he’ll help you to identify which products will fit your audience, and how to know if they will convert well.
Module 3 – How to create lead magnets that people actually want (2 video lessons)
Building an email list is a core part of Spencer’s strategy. And to do this you’ll need a good lead magnet.
Spencer explains the keys to using a lead magnet that solves a problem for your audience, and will be perceived as valuable to them.
Interestingly, Spencer also explains that some of his most successful lead magnets have also been the most simple to create.
You’ll learn what makes a good lead magnet as well as the 8 types of lead magnets that Spencer recommends.
Module 4 – How to build effective landing pages (6 video lessons)
Landing pages are an important part of a successful affiliate business. They’re the page you’re gonna be sending traffic to, and it’s also where your audience can opt in to receive your free lead magnet (and join your email list at the same time, of course).
In this module Spence teaches you about what makes a good landing page, what elements will give you a higher conversion rate and, of course, how to build your own one.
Spencer will show you a few different options you can use, and also give you templates to some of his successful landing pages too. Yes, ClickFunnels is one of them, but you can actually use any landing page builder that you like.
If you’ve already got a WordPress site then Spencer’s also gonna show you a free landing page builder that he uses (Elementor) so you can run with that if it’s a good option for you.
Module 5 – Email marketing done right (18 video lessons)
Email marketing is one of the most important parts of a successful affiliate business.
In this module Spencer spends a lot of time teaching you how to do effective email marketing that’s not gonna piss off your subscribers, but instead will increase the chances of them looking forward to receiving your emails, and then being happy to buy your recommendations.
Spencer shows you his email marketing platform of choice (ActiveCampaign), and explains the benefits of going with this company. However, he also says that you can choose any email marketing software you like, as long as it has reasonably good email automation and workflows.
Spencer sends 3 different email sequences to his list, and each has a different strategic purpose. These 3 sequences are:
The soap opera sequence
The affiliate sequence
You’ll learn exactly what Spencer does to nurture his email list and build a loyal following. He’ll also give you clear guidance to craft your own email sequences along with his own templates that you can copy.
Module 6 – How to use bonuses (4 video lessons)
Using bonuses to incentivise customers to buy through your link rather than a competitors is a strategy used by most of the super affiliates.
However, you need to get this right if you want it to work for you. Offering crappy bonuses, or items that are not relevant to the main purchase can have the opposite effect that you’re trying to create.
In this module you’ll learn about the 6 different types of bonuses to use, how to create them, and how to use scarcity to further incentivise your audience to buy from you right now.
Module 7 – How to dominate JV launches (5 video lessons)
Joint venture product launches are a great way for affiliates to make a lot of money in a short space of time. It’s a win/win arrangement between the affiliate and the product owner – the product owner gets a lot of exposure quickly, and the affiliate is rewarded handsomely for sending the traffic.
However, there are some important things to know about JV launches. The last thing you want to do it promote a shady company that don’t end up paying you, or who don’t fulfil on the order to your customers. You also want to make sure that the product is the right fit for your audience and is actually a good product that will benefit them.
Spencer will teach you his JV launch secrets, which include how to find good companies to partner with, and how to make the launch as successful for yourself as possible. You’ll also get access to the email templates he uses for JV launches.
Module 8 – Pro Tips (1 video lesson)
Module 8 is about a technique you can use a little later on in your business once you’ve started to build a good sized audience, and you’re starting to use more than one traffic source.
Basically, this technique is about establishing multiple touch-points between you and your audience so you will have the best chance of reaching them with your offer.
Having this ecosystem in place is a huge advantage when it comes to doing JV launches. Spencer attributes this tactic as one of the most important differences in his business that’s allowed him to win launches when he’s been up against other affiliates who have a much bigger list than he does.
Module 9 – AdWords for fast money (11 video lessons)
Module 9 is kind of a bonus module in a sense because it does not fit with Spencer’s core strategy and ethos of building a passive business.
However, Spencer says at the beginning of the course that Affiliate Secrets 3.0 contains everything he knows about affiliate marketing, and every strategy that he has had success with, which is why it’s included in the course.
Using paid Google ads is a quick way to get traffic, therefore, it’s a pretty fast way to make some affiliate sales.
Spencer has a unique approach to using AdWords, which doesn’t work for every affiliate product. However, once you find the right products (through the methods Spencer will teach you) then you stand to make a lot of money fairly quickly.
This is a great addition to add to your affiliate marketing arsenal, and a great go-to strategy when you need to raise some fast cash.
Spencer’s made thousands of dollars with this method, although it’s not something he does a lot. According to him, a person should be able to earn 5-figures per month using this tactic if they hone in on it.
Module 10 – Outsourcing (1 video lesson)
Once you start to grow you’ll want to outsource some tasks to other people as quickly as possible in order to keep growing, otherwise you’ll plateaux.
Fortunately, there are several places online where you can hire a virtual assistant at an affordable price to help you with certain tasks in your online business. It’s not always straightforward though, and finding the right help can be tricky.
In this module Spencer shows you what tasks he outsources, where you can find people, how much you should pay.
He even gives you his SOP’s (standard operating procedures) that you can hand over to your new VA so they know how you want each task completed. Basically, he’s done most of the heavy lifting for you!
In the traffic section you’ll learn the 5 traffic strategies below. All of these are quality traffic sources.
When you first get started Spencer advises to just pick one to work with for at least 6 months. Once it’s established you can then think about building a second, and then a third traffic source over time.
In this way you don’t need to go through the entire Affiliate Secrets training material before you get started. Just watch the modules that apply to you and get started putting the strategies into practice.
Facebook Organic Module (8 video lessons)
This first traffic module is all about building your business around networking organically on Facebook (not by using Facebook Ads).
There’s a technique to this, but it is highly effective once you get it down.
If you’re the sort of person who enjoys spending time on social media interacting with other users then this method can work very well for you.
While this traffic method is not passive, it’s probably the fastest way to get to $5K per month. In fact, in the course Spencer says that if you do it right then you can hit $5K within your first 30 days.
YouTube Module (23 video lessons)
This section is Spencer’s bread and butter as it is his primary source of traffic. If you’ve seen any of his YouTube videos then you probably already know that he’s a master at this method.
In this module you’ll learn all Spencers tricks for finding an endless amount of video content ideas so you don’t burn out. He’ll also walk you through exactly what gets people to click your videos, stay engaged, and then buy through your affiliate link.
Overall, this module teaches an effective white hat YouTube strategy. However, towards there’s also a video titled ‘sneaky tricks’, where he shows you a few black hat tricks to get fast rankings in YouTube.
TikTok Module (10 video lessons)
Now, you may be thinking that TikTok is not for you, and it’s just a platform for kids to post dance videos. That’s kind of how it got started, but it’s expanded way beyond that. Now, there are people of all ages on TikTok, and affiliates are regularly selling anything from high ticket marketing courses to real estate deals.
One of the biggest draws of TikTok is the virality of the platform. There’s huge potential here for even a beginner digital marketer to build a huge following surprisingly quickly just by posting short 15-60 second videos.
Spencer has made thousands of dollars using this effective strategy, and in this module he’s gonna teach you all his secrets, including how he got over 1M views from one video.
Facebook Groups Module (13 video lessons)
Facebook groups are a great way to build an audience that love your content and want to interact with you.
Spencer Mecham has a very popular Facebook group called Automation Nation, and it’s become a great source of traffic for him over the years.
In this module you’ll learn how to build a Facebook group the right ay, and how to put it on autopilot so it won’t suck your time.
Blogging Module (63 video lessons)
The blogging section of the course is mostly taught by Nate McCallister. He’s a guy who earns a 7-figure income as a blogger, so needless to say, he knows what he’s talking about.
This is one of the most comprehensive modules, in which, Nate is gonna teach you how to build and scale a profitable affiliate blog that will help you to earn passive income for years to come.
Nate will start with the basics of choosing a domain name, getting your site set up on WordPress, hosting, choosing a theme, and uploading plugins, etc.
Once that boring stuff is out of the way he’ll teach you how to do SEO properly so you can rank in Google.
You’ll learn things like keyword research, analyzing competitors, writing blog posts, crafting intriguing blog headlines, building backlinks, and how to turn your affiliate blog into a lead generation and sales machine.
Spencer Mecham’s Affiliate Secrets 3.0 Bonuses
When you invest in this course you’ll also get several additional bonuses from Spencer. These bonuses are:
Overall, I think this is a great course. Spencer holds nothing back and clearly shows you everything you need to know to build a successful affiliate business.
I also particularly like Spencer’s transparency in that he gives you an under the hood look at his own business. He shoes you various stats and figures from channels he is using himself (YouTube and TikTok for example), and teaches you how to achieve similar results.
Even though the initial investment to purchase Affiliate Secrets 3.0 quite expensive, considering everything you’ll learn inside it’s definitely good value for money in my opinion.
Nothing held back
Lots of successful students from previous versions
Well taught and transparent approach
Stats and real life examples shown
Good resources and bonuses provided
Value for money
It has an affiliate program that pays out 50%
What Could Be Improved
Spencer provides several great resources and bonuses in the course that are sprinkled throughout. However, I think it would be an improvement to also have all the links to resources on one easy to find page.
The course is hosted on Thinkific. While I have no issues on my desktop, if I watch any of the course videos on my laptop then the Thinkific layout cuts off the top and bottom part of the videos. However, I can resolve this by clicking the full-screen option on each video so it’s not a big issue, it’s just slightly annoying.
One of the best things about buying this course (besides the money you stand to make from using the methods taught) is that you will also lock in all future updates to the course at no extra cost.
This means that if any new modules are added, or if Spencer releases a 4.0 version in the future then you’ll get access to that too without having to pay again.
Affiliate Secrets 3.0 is the the newest version of the course and includes a ton more training, ninja tactics and techniques, and ways for you to crush it with affiliate marketing than the previous versions ever had.
When Affiliate Secrets 1.0 first came out it was only $397. Then came Affiliate Secrets 2.0, which was sold for $897.
Therefore, the price has also gone up for the latest version of the course.
The price of Affiliate Secrets 3.0 is now $1,497. If that’s too much money for you to part with in one chunk then you can also choose to purchase the course over a 3 month period in instalments of $600.
I understand this is quite an expensive course, so I wanted to give you an alternative option in case you really don’t have that kind of money to front. It’s called the Legendary Marketer 15 Day Challenge and it costs just $7 to take this training.
Bear in mind, although this $7 course is great to get you started with affiliate marketing, it is not a complete training course like Affiliate Secrets 3.0.
If you’re serious about affiliate marketing, and if it is within your budget then I highly recommend investing in this course new before the price goes up.
And if the course is out of your budget then I recommend you to check out some of Spencer’s free training as they’re also well worth taking if you’re new.
Affiliate Secrets 3.0 Best Alternatives
As you can see, this course covers a hell of a lot. It gives you multiple avenues through which to grow your affiliate marketing business.
While I do think this course is great (I am a member myself), there are a couple of other great courses (both of which I have also taken) that I can recommend if Affiliate Secrets doesn’t sound like the right fit for you.
Affiliate Secrets 3.0 is one of the best affiliate courses in the industry to teach you how to become a profitable affiliate marketer.
Taught by one of the most respected guys in the affiliate space, this is a highly comprehensive affiliate marketing training course that teaches everything you need to know in order to have success with affiliate marketing.
As I mentioned earlier in my Affiliate Secrets 3.0 review, when you invest in this course you’ll also get access to all new videos that may be added, as well as any new future versions if Spencer decides to do another complete over hall.
If you’re serious about affiliate marketing and you like the idea of building your business around free traffic sources that will help you build a passive income well into the future, then I highly recommend investing in this course.
By now, you probably realise this course is not cheap, but it’s well worth it to get your hands on a course that’s taught by one of the most successful affiliates on the planet.
If you’re still not sure if this course is for you then you can check out the free Affiliate Secrets 3.0 webinar where Spencer shows you his system in detail. You’ll get lots of value out of this webinar, and a clear picture if it’s right for you.
If you want to earn an income while promoting video games and accessories, then the gaming niche could be the perfect fit for you.
Gaming’s being around for a long while now, and it’s one of those markets that has been experiencing the snowball effect since the turn of the century.
Back in the day I used to love playing games like Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Edge, Super Mario Kart, and Golden Eye. Those games were super-addictive and loads of fun, but the industry’s come a long way since then!
There’s new and better games coming out all the time, and as an affiliate in this niche you’ve also got a load of peripherals and merch that you can sell too!
Build up a loyal audience in this niche and sooner or later you’ll pretty much be able to print your own money!
So, if the gaming niche sounds like it could be the right one for you then here’s a list of some of the top gaming affiliate programs in the space right now.
Why You Should Consider Promoting Gaming Affiliate Programs
The gaming market has gained incredible momentum, and it doesn’t look like it’ll start slowing down anytime soon.
With more and more people getting into the world of gaming all the time (currently around 2.5 billion people world wide as of 2021), the global gaming market is predicted to reach a staggering $256.97 billion by 2025!
Most gamers not only have a passion for playing their favourite games, they’re pretty much addicted to it.
Pretty much every company in the gaming industry has an affiliate program. And with an audience of highly passionate addicts always on the lookout for new games, and tech to improve their playing experience, it shouldn’t be too hard to sell to this market.
The following is a list of some of the top affiliate programs in the gaming niche that pay out decent commissions each month to affiliates who promote their products.
The commission rates will, of course, vary depending upon which affiliate program(s) you choose to add to your offering. Some give higher payouts, but a shorter cookie life, while others may have a high conversion rate, but the commission percentage is a bit lower than the other programs.
It’s a good idea to mix and match to promote several different products to your audience, and do your research before signing up.
Astro Gaming Affiliate Program
Astro is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high quality computer peripherals including mice, keyboards, headsets, speakers, webcams, microphones, headphones, and controllers.
Astro Gaming is a well-known brand selling to customers all over the world, and their affiliate program is pretty good too.
When you promote their range of products you’ll earn 5% commission per sale.
Surprisingly, Astro Gaming give you a really long cookie life of 180 days, so you’ll have plenty of time for your leads to convert once they click your referral links.
Green Man Gaming is another big name in the gaming industry.
Based in Britain, this online video game retailer, distributes and publishes games, and currently have more than 9,000 to choose from. And with almost 1,400 gaming publishers on their books, they’re adding new games to their offering all the time.
Customers of Green Man Gaming access their products through keycodes that they receive on purchase. The keycodes can then be used to download the games.
Green Man Gaming sell games in 195 different countries, and accept payment in 18 different currencies, so as an affiliate marketer you should have not shortage of people to sell their products to.
Green Man Gaming products typically range between $5 – $50, of which you’ll earn a 5% in affiliate commissions.
This program is hosted on the Commission Junction network, so if you’re already a CJ affiliate then you can apply to promote Green Man Gaming directly from your dashboard.
While that doesn’t sound like a lot, the shear amount of people that you will be able to sell to should make promoting these guys worth your while. It’s also worth noting that many customers often buy multiple products at a time so your commissions can stack up.
Kinguin has been around since 2013, and has become another big player in the gaming niche.
Recognized as a trusted brand in the video game industry, they have accumulated over 30,000 Trust Pilot reviews, with an average rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
Besides selling tons of games worldwide, this marketplace also sells gaming keys such as steam keys and PC game keys, as well as other software that you might need.
As far as their games go, they sell games across all major games console brands including Xbox, Nintendo, Playstation and PCs at discount prices.
Kinguin also has one of the best video game affiliate programs that we’ve come across. One of the biggest draws of this popular affiliate program (known as the Kinguin Mafia) is that you can benefit from their multi-tiered set up.
As an example, if someone clicks on your affiliate link and then makes a purchase you’ll earn 5% commission. If that person also becomes a Kinguin affiliate you’ll then also earn an additional 0.75% on all the sales that he/she makes too.
But it doesn’t stop there.
If more people also sign up to be an affiliate through that person’s link (who’s on your tier-2 level), then you will earn a further 0.25% commission on all of their sales as well.
Basically, your earning potential can quickly snowball into a lot of money promoting these guys.
And, if you’re an influencer with a large audience then you can qualify for the Kinguin Mafia Pro program, which will pay you 10% per sale.

Needless to say, SecretLab chairs are another popular brand with the hardcore gamers.
