ClickFunnels Platinum Review – Is It Really Worth It?

Clickfunnels changed its pricing structure a couple of years ago on its 5th birthday, and it caused quite a lot of hype online.

So, I decided to investigate the changes and write a detailed ClickFunnels Platinum review on the new, updated plan.

Being the leading sales funnel builder software tool on the market you now get more funnels and pages on the Platinum plan than ever before. And you also get a few other nice benefits too, which I’ll get into shortly.

But, is ClickFunnels Platinum really worth the money?

What Is ClickFunnels Platinum?

Clickfunnels Platinum is a rebranded Clickfunnels pricing plan, previously known as the Etison Suite. It is the premium plan offered by ClickFunnels.

Since the revamp, this plan still costs $297 per month, but now you get much more for your money. And it’s a good thing too because let’s face it, $297 per month is quite expensive for small businesses.

So, what’s changed?

Here’s a breakdown of what you now get on the ClickFunnels Platinum plan over the basic plan:

• Unlimited funnels
• Unlimited pages
• 2 extra sub-users (total of 3)
• 6 extra payment gateways (total of 9)
• 6 extra custom domains (total of 9)
• Follow-Up Funnels (ClickFunnels’ email autoresponder)
• Backpack (affiliate management software)
• Priority support (via chat)
• Weekly Hackathons (peer review coaching to build your funnels)
• Funnel Flix Platinum

So, you do actually get quite a bit for your money, especially considering all the courses and training material that comes with FunnelFlix Platinum.

Being able to use the email autoresponder feature (Follow-Up funnels) is also a great extra, which can save you quite a bit of money otherwise spent on using one of the 3rd party email marketing platforms out there.

Having said that, I do have a few gripes about the ClickFunnels Platinum plan though, which I will get to soon.

ClickFunnels Platinum: Who should get it?

If you already know that you need to build more than one sales funnel, and you want to save money on your email marketing software, then it makes sense to sign up for ClickFunnels Platinum.

If you also plan to start your own affiliate marketing program and want to save money on a 3rd party affiliate program management tool, then you’ll also get this feature for no extra cost if you go for the ClickFunnels Platinum plan.

A third reason to sign up for ClickFunnels Platinum (and quite a big reason) is to gain access to all the next training courses you’ll get access to inside Funnel Flix Platinum.

Having used FunnelFlix myself, I can tell you that the training inside is actually very good. A lot of the training courses cost hundreds, and some, thousands of dollars each if you were to pay for them separately. But you get full access at no extra cost on the Platinum plan.

Some people even sign up to ClickFunnels Platinum for a few months for the sole purpose to gain access to FunnelFlix Platinum. They’ll consume all the training videos they need, and then downgrade to the ClickFunnels standard plan later.

ClickFunnels Platinum Features: A Closer Look

Now, let’s take a closer look at all the advanced features that ClickFunnels Platinum comes with.

Unlimited Funnels, Pages, And Other Resources

One of the main selling points for Clickfunnels Platinum over ClickFunnels Standard is the additional resources you get on this plan.

More Sales Funnels & Pages

As your business grows, you will start to need more funnels.

The Standard plan is great to get you started if you don’t have plans to scale your online business beyond a certain point.

But if you have ideas of expanding, or setting up other sideline businesses, then you will soon find that the 20 funnels and 100 pages that come with the Standard plan are not enough.

So, being able to build unlimited sales funnels is definitely a plus for this ClickFunnels pricing plan.

More Custom Domains

The Standard plan also only allows you to use up to 3 custom domains, which definitely won’t be enough once you start to scale.

While being able to use 9 custom domains on the ClickFunnels Platinum plan is certainly better than 3, it’s also quite stingy in my opinion.

Having said that, once you look to extend your business either by offering more products, using more sales funnels, or both, then you’re going to need to use more custom domains.

More Payment Gateways

Unless your business is so big that you have a multitude of people visiting your funnels from all over the world, and need to offer a diverse range of payment processors, then this feature is unlikely to be a game-changer for you. After all, the vast majority of people will be able to pay you via PayPal, Stripe, or Authorize.net.

Still, it’s nice to have the option of different payment integrations so you can offer your potential customers more flexibility in the way they pay.

Extra Sub Users

ClickFunnels Standard only comes with one sub-user. So, if you need to give more team members access to your ClickFunnels account, then the ClickFunnels Platinum plan will allow you to do this.

Priority Support

Waiting on support to get back to you is a pain, and it can really slow down your business. If you want to get your queries answered quickly, then paying the extra money for Platinum may be worth it to you.

From experience, I can tell you that I’ve waited over 12 hours before to receive a ticketed reply from ClickFunnels support staff on the Starter plan. But on the ClickFunnels Platinum plan, you’ll be able to reach them almost straight away through live chat support.

Follow-Up Funnels

Building an email list is one of the most important parts of running any business, which means you’ll need a good email marketing platform to store your email addresses and automate your email sequences.

Good email automation platforms can quickly become expensive as your list grows. But by using the Follow-Up Funnels feature that comes with the ClickFunnels Platinum plan, you’ll be able to save the extra money you would have otherwise spent on a 3rd party provider.

Using Follow-Up Funnels can help you be more productive, saving the need for you to log in to multiple software platforms. Instead, everything’s housed and run from one, convenient dashboard.

BackPack

Another feature you get access to on the ClickFunnels Platinum plan is BackPack. This is ClickFunnels’ answer to affiliate management software.

You can use this tool to set up and run your own affiliate program, and then recruit affiliates to promote your products for you.

Inside your dashboard, you can keep track of clicks and sales made by your affiliates, as well as monitor your most successful advocates.

If you plan to do this, then opting for the Platinum plan will save you money otherwise spent on 3rd party affiliate management software.

It’s important to know though, while BackPack certainly does the job, it’s not advanced as some of the other options on the market.

If you don’t need deep-dive analytics and more customized options inside your dashboard, then BackPack will probably be fine for you. If you plan to make your affiliate program a core part of your business, then you may want to think about using a 3rd party provider for this tool.

Weekly Hackathons

The weekly virtual hackathons give you the opportunity to build your funnel from start to finish with a trained funnel builder looking over your shoulder.

If you want to get your funnels built quickly, and have expert guidance on how to make your sales funnels look and convert the best, then this is the way to do it.

People pay thousands of dollars to have a single funnel built for them by a professional, but this way you can save that extra money and get your whole funnel built in a hackathon session with expert guidance by your side.

Basically, you can have as many days of coaching as you need with the hackathons.

FunnelFlix Platinum

FunnelFlix was one of the biggest announcements that ClickFunnels made on their 5th birthday.

If you’re not sure what it is, it’s basically a Netflix alternative, but for online marketers and entrepreneurs. FunnelFlix is full of training courses and coaching programs from some of the leading minds in marketing, business-building, and entrepreneurship.

Besides training courses by ClickFunnels CEO Russell Brunson, you can also find training from big names such as Tony Robbins, Jay Abraham, Frank Kern, John Reese, and more.

Russell Brunson is constantly adding to the FunnelFlix library, so you can expect more training to be added periodically.

You can access FunnelFlix directly in your ClickFunnels dashboard and consume training videos at your leisure.

Some of my favorite courses that I’ve personally gone through so far are the One Funnel away Challenge, Funnel Builder Secrets, the Affiliate Bootcamp, and Money Mindset by John Reese.

What’s Good About ClickFunnels Platinum?

To make it easier for you to choose the right plan, I’m now going to go through all the good things about the Platinum plan.

Then, I will highlight all the things that are not so good. Yes, I do have one or two gripes with ClickFunnels Platinum. See below.

Good Thing 1: Unlimited Funnels & Pages

As I mentioned earlier, Platinum users get to host unlimited funnels. This is important because the 20 funnel limit on the Standard plan is way too constricting.

So, this means you can host and use all types of sales funnels and landing pages including share funnels, webinar funnels, membership funnels, even complex sales funnels if that’s what you need.

You won’t need to worry about going over your limit and needing to delete funnels from your account.

Good Thing 2: Priority Support

Having priority support is quite important, especially if you want to work quickly and hate waiting around for a reply.

You can sometimes wait hours for a reply if you’re on the Starter plan, but if you’re on ClickFunnels Platinum, you’ll get help quickly through live chat.

Good Thing 3: Best Part FunnelFlix Platinum

I wish FunnelFlix was available when I first got started working online. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on marketing training over the years, so FunnelFlix Platinum would have saved me a lot of money if it was around then.

There are lots of specialized training videos on all aspects of building a successful online business, many of which are top-notch.

This is definitely one of the biggest reasons to choose the Platinum plan.

Good Thing 4: Follow-Up Funnels

Having a built-in autoresponder inside your ClickFunnels account will save you time setting up and running your campaigns.

Follow-Up Funnels will also save you quite a bit of money you would otherwise need to pay every month to a 3rd party autoresponder service.

What’s Not Good About ClickFunnels Platinum?

Ok, let’s be fair, ClickFunnels Platinum is pretty good. But I do have one or two groans about it too. Here they are.

Bad Thing 1: Cost May Be Too Much For Newbies

If you’re new to online marketing, then I recommend you start with the Standard plan. It should be more than enough to get you started.

Once you’re making money in your business, you can upgrade later to Platinum if you still need to.

The only circumstance that I would recommend a beginner to sign up for ClickFunnels Platinum is if they want to take advantage of all the training videos inside FunnelFlix, and they don’t have a lot of money to shell out at one time on courses.

Getting your online marketing education this way can actually save you a lot of money. Sign in, make a list of the courses you want to go through, then start consuming the content. Make a plan to complete the courses in a few months so you don’t need to pay for Platinum indefinitely.

Bad Thing 2: Only 9 Custom Domains

Yep, I was surprised at this too. On the one hand, ClickFunnels allows you to use unlimited funnels, but they only give you 9 custom domains..??

WTF?!

Fair enough if they want to put a limit on this, but it should be higher than this in my opinion.

ClickFunnels Platinum Pros and Cons

Here are the pros and cons of ClickFunnels Platinum. As always, these are just my personal opinions. If you disagree, feel free to leave a comment below.

• You get priority customer support
• You get to access all the funnel templates
• You can create an unlimited number of funnels
• You can use an unlimited number of pages
• You get to access to the email autoresponder software
• You get access to the affiliate management dashboard

ClickFunnels Platinum Cons

• You’re limited to 9 custom domains
• The price is quite expensive if you’re just getting started

ClickFunnels Platinum Free Trial

You can sign up for a 14-day free trial and test out everything Platinum has to offer (including FunnelFlix) without paying a penny during your trial period.

If you’re still on the fence then it is definitely worth taking a free trial. You’ll be able to use the software for yourself with no limits and then see for yourself if it is right for you.

How To Save $594 On The ClickFunnels Platinum Plan

If you want to save some money, then you can get 2 months of completely free access to ClickFunnels Platinum when you sign up for the annual plan.

By choosing annual billing, you’ll get 2 months completely free, which is the equivalent of saving $594.

Final Thoughts

So, as you can see from this ClickFunnels Platinum review, there’s a lot to like about this ClickFunnels plan.

However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows since this plan has had a revamp from the Etison Suite version. There is a couple of drawback to this sales funnel software in my opinion, which I have explained above.

If you’re ready to scale up your business and you need more funnels, or you want to save money on your autoresponder and affiliate management software, then it makes sense to sign up for ClickFunnels Platinum.

If you want to strategically access all the training in FunnelFlix to get your marketing education, then this is another good reason to sign up for Platinum.

If you’re not looking to scale, and you don’t want to access the extra marketing training from Tony Robbins and the other experts, then just stick to the base plan.
