GroovePages Review – The Best Free Funnel Builder?

Here in my GroovePages review, I’m going to dissect this popular marketing tool, so you can decide for yourself if it’s worth your time.

I’m also going to compare GroovePages to some of the leading alternatives on the market.

What is GroovePages?

GroovePages is an online software tool that allows users to build fully-functional websites, landing pages, and sales funnels. GroovePages is one of many apps that comprise the GrooveFunnels marketing software suite.

Owned by Groove Digital, and created by well-known software entrepreneur Mike Filsaime, GroovePages is part of the all-in-one marketing software suite, GrooveFunnels. (See my GrooveFunnels review here.)

The platform offers drag-and-drop functionality, which makes it easy to add elements like forms, buttons, images, videos, and social media feeds. Users can also fully customize colors, fonts, backgrounds, images, and full layouts.

If you want a responsive landing page builder that can also build complete sales funnels and fully-functional, SEO-friendly websites, then the GroovePages app can help you do it all.

GroovePages can be used for lots of reasons, from selling digital products, online courses, eBooks, or even promoting affiliate products. You can certainly also use it to sell physical products too, but if this is your focus, then I recommend you use GrooveKart for this instead.

It’s also important to note that GroovePages is not used to build membership sites. If you want to do this, you need to use Groove’s membership software, GrooveMember. Again, this is also available on the free GrooveFunnels account.

Is GroovePages Really Free?

Yes, GroovePages is completely free. It’s part of the GrooveFunnels all-in-one marketing software suite.  The free version of GrooveFunnels comes with GroovePages (a.k.a GroovePages lite) and has all the features you’ll ever need to build great landing pages, sales funnels, and complete websites.

If you sign up for the free account to use GroovePages, you’ll be able to use all the features that GroovePages offers. However, there are some usage limits on the free plan. For example, you can build up to 3 fully-functional websites on the free plan, as well as 3 sales funnels and 3 landing pages.

Having worked online myself for almost 10 years now, I’m still amazed that Groove CM offers so much on the free plan. But if you’re serious about growing your business, those limits will soon become restrictive, in which case you should consider upgrading to one of the paid plans.

The GroovePages Lite and GrooveFunnels free plan are a great place to start for beginners. They’re also great if you would like to try out the software before you buy one of the paid plans.

Who Should Get GroovePages Lite?

GroovePages lite is great for beginners and new business owners who only need a few basic tools to get started.

If you’re planning to build less than 3 websites, you only need 1 sales funnel and a few landing pages, then GroovePages lite should be enough to get you started. You’ll also be able to host your fully-functional website, landing pages, and sales funnels for free with Groove.

Bear in mind, you’ll only be able to use 1 custom domain on the free plan. If you want to use more, then you’ll need to upgrade to one of the paid plans so you can use GroovePages pro.

Who Should Get GroovePages Pro?

GroovePages Pro does everything the lite version does, you’ll just have more resources with GroovePages Pro.

For example, on the pro plan, you’ll be able to use unlimited custom domains, host unlimited pages, build unlimited websites, unlimited funnels, and unlimited landing pages. This, of course, also includes free hosting on the Groove CM network.

How Do I Get GroovePages?

The best way to get started using GroovePages is to sign up here for a free account. Once you’ve done that, you’ll have the option to either use GroovePages lite for free or upgrade to a paid plan.

There is no limit on how long you can use GroovePages on the free plan. You can choose to upgrade whenever you need to. Once you upgrade, you can also choose to downgrade again at any time. There are no contracts and you can cancel any time if you’re paying monthly.

If you choose annual billing, then your subscription will renew the following year. If you don’t want to continue then you can cancel your account and you won’t be billed when the renewal time comes.

GroovePages Pros and Cons

The biggest advantage of using GroovePages is the simplicity it provides. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never built a landing page or website before, or if you’re a self-proclaimed technophobe. GroovePages is easy to use thanks to the drag-and-drop page builder, and the huge library of ready-made templates and elements you get access to.

You can literally just drop things onto the page and then tweak them as you go. You’ll also get access to lots of tutorials, and there are tons of ‘how to’ style videos on YouTube for pretty much anything you can think of to do with GroovePages.

This makes it easy to start building effective sales funnels, website sites, and landing pages right away without having to spend hours researching and trying to figure out what works best.

On the downside, there is still a bit of a learning curve, but that’s greatly reduced thanks to all the training videos.

GroovePages Lifetime Deal

GrooveFunnels Platinum (which includes GroovePages Pro) used to come with a lifetime deal for a one-time payment of $1,997. This gave users completely free access to the GrooveFunnels Platinum account with no resource restrictions for life.

Unfortunately, this deal is no longer available since GrooveFunnels left beta on 22nd February 2022.

You can still get a free GroovePages lite account here, which comes with the free GrooveFunnels plan. This plan is free for life unless you choose to upgrade to the plan, which you can do at any time if you feel you need to.

Is GroovePages worth it?

Yes, Groove Pages is absolutely worth it in my opinion. You can build a fully-functional website, landing page, and sales funnels that are all hosted for you completely free of charge on the free plan. This is amazing, and I don’t know of any other software company out there that is offering so much for free.

In my opinion, the paid plans are also very much worth it too. I say this because the software is great, and you get more features and functionality with Groove compared to the competition at a lower price.

Best GroovePages Alternatives

There are a few GroovePages alternatives out there, but we’ve hand-picked the 2 best and closest competitors to GroovePages. These are ClickFunnels and Kartra. Here’s how they compare to Groove Pages.

GroovePages vs ClickFunnels

So, how does GroovePages compare to ClickFunnels? This is a good question that I have the answer to since I’ve used both software platforms myself.

These two products have some similarities but are far from identical. Overall, GrooveFunnels offers lots more features that ClickFunnels does not have like GrooveSell, GrooveKart, etc. But we’re only comparing the GroovePages app to the ClickFunnels page and funnel builder here as this is where these two are similar.

First up, I’ll say that ClickFunnels is slightly easier to use out of the box. Having said that, GroovePages is not hard to use by any means. GroovePages has more features and levers to pull, so it can take a bit longer to get familiar with the platform, but that’s about all on this point.

Both offer drag-and-drop functionality, which makes it easy to build out a page without needing any coding knowledge.

With Groove Pages you can build fully functional websites that are SEO-friendly and rank well in Google. ClickFunnels is not designed as a website builder, but you can use it to build a basic 5-page website, but that’s about it. ClickFunnels’ websites are also not great for SEO. They don’t rank very well and have slower page load speeds. GroovePages, on the other hand, loads very fast.

Where ClickFunnels shines is the sales funnel builder. They’re known for building high-converting funnels. In this respect, I’d say it’s more advanced than GroovePages. However, Groove is constantly updating its apps, so GroovePages should improve in the area over time.

Both platforms come with lots of customizable templates and elements. Overall, GroovePages has more elements you can use than ClickFunnels.

Both GroovePages and ClickFunnels offer support, but in my personal experience, GroovePages support is much faster than ClickFunnels’.

GroovePages offers a completely free plan, but ClickFunnels does not. When it comes to pricing, GroovePages Pro and GrooveFunnels are also cheaper than ClickFunnels price plans.

GroovePages vs Kartra

Both GrooveFunnels and Kartra offer similar very features. In fact, Kartra is the closest competitor to GrooveFunnels. Interestingly, Mike Filsaime is the creator of both platforms. He built the platform alongside Kartra CEO Andy Jenkins.

Here, we’re only going to compare the GroovePages app to the Kartra page builder.

Overall, GroveFunnels offers all the same features as Kartra and more, with one exception – the calendar software app. Kartra has a built-in calendar tool. While that’s useful for some online marketers, it’s probably not a deal-breaker for most.

Similar to Groove Pages, Kartra Pages is also mobile-optimized. This means anything you build with Kartra Pages will have faster page load times, be SEO-friendly, and provide a good user experience on mobile.

This is hugely important for online business today.

Kartra Pages also has a drag-and-drop page builder like GroovePages and ClickFunnels. With Kartra Pages you get access to over 500 customizable templates. GroovePages also has a lot, but Kartra currently has more since they’ve been around longer.

Like GroovePages, Kartra Pages is also completely customizable. Overall, both platforms are easy to use, but I think I’d have to give the edge here to Kartra Pages in terms of intuitive use.

When it comes to price, as we’ve said before GroovePages is available completely free. To use Kartra Pages, on the other hand, pricing starts at $99 per month. Kartra also does not have a free trial – it’ll cost you $1 for 14-days to test drive the software. No big deal.

GroovePages Final Thoughts

So, that’s it, my complete GroovePages review. As we can see, GroovePages is a powerful landing page, sales funnel, and website builder that is suitable for both beginners and seasoned marketing consultants and business owners.
