Affiliate Marketing With ClickFunnels – What You Need To Know
In this article, I’m going to tell you everything you need to know to do affiliate marketing with ClickFunnels, how to maximize your earnings, and even how you can get free access to use the ClickFunnels software while you get your affiliate marketing business off the ground.
Let’s get to it!
How To Make Money With ClickFunnels Affiliate Marketing?
So, how do you actually make money in affiliate marketing with ClickFunnels?
Well, there are two ways.
The First Way
The first way to make money using ClickFunnels affiliate marketing is by signing up to be a ClickFunnels affiliate so you can promote their products.
The ClickFunnels affiliate program is certainly one of the better ones out there. Besides there being loads of niche markets you can appeal to when selling a product like ClickFunnels, this company also has lots of other great products that you can sell too, besides their sales funnel builder software.
New affiliates start on 30% commission per sale, with the potential of being bumped up to 40% once you’ve recruited more than 25 active ClickFunnels users.
Bear in mind that the ClickFunnels software is a recurring commission product. This means that you’ll earn a 30 or 40% recurring commission every single month for as long as your sign-ups continue to use it. This is a great way to build a solid passive income.
The Second Way
The second way to make money in affiliate marketing with ClickFunnels is by using the ClickFunnels sales funnel builder to promote affiliate offers.
Of course, you don’t have to promote ClickFunnels if you don’t want to.
Not at all.
You can build an affiliate business in any niche you choose and use the ClickFunnels funnel and landing page software to build your sales funnels.
ClickFunnels comes with a lot of pre-built templates for you to use so you can get your affiliate funnel set up quickly and ready to make sales. Then, all that’s left for you to do is drive traffic to your sales funnel.
Pretty simple!
Benefits of ClickFunnels for Affiliate Marketing
Here are some of the main reasons to use ClickFunnels for your affiliate marketing business:
#1. Huge Library of High converting Affiliate Funnel Templates
Besides being easy to use and beginner-friendly, ClickFunnels comes with a huge library of done-for-you funnel templates.
You can simply choose a template and customize it to fit your brand and message.
These funnel templates are fully customizable, which means you can change any element on your funnel pages. This includes images, videos, countdown timers, lead magnets, and pretty much anything else you can think of.
#2. Fast and Easy Visual Editor
The drag-and-drop visual editor is easy to use, even for a technophobe.
Regardless if you actually like working with technology or not, the ClickFunnels visual editor is actually fun to work with and very intuitive.
#3. Built-in Training and Courses (all free!)
ClickFunnels has a great training course for affiliates, which is completely free. It’s called the ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp.
While you don’t get access to the affiliate boot camp just by opening a ClickFunnels account, you can sign up for this free affiliate training course here.
In the ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp, you’ll get access to the training given by 16 of ClickFunnels’ top affiliates.
Each of these super affiliates will show you a different method to use ClickFunnels to build a successful business in affiliate marketing. They’ll walk you through their affiliate blueprint, reveal their traffic sources, and show you the affiliate sales funnels they use, which you can copy yourself.
#4. ClickFunnels Affiliate Program
As I mentioned earlier, ClickFunnels has one of the best affiliate marketing programs in the industry.
If you also want to make money promoting ClickFunnels’ products, then you can sign up for free to become a ClickFunnels affiliate. Simply fill out the ClickFunnels affiliate application form here to get started.
Once you have access to the ClickFunnels affiliate dashboard you’ll then be able to get access to your affiliate links and start promoting.
How to Use ClickFunnels for Affiliate Marketing (step-by-step)
So, how does ClickFunnels affiliate marketing work?
As I said earlier in this article, affiliate marketing with ClickFunnels involves either promoting the ClickFunnels software (or any of the related ClickFunnels products) to an audience who could benefit from their products, or through using the ClickFunnels software yourself to promote affiliate products.
Regardless if you are promoting the ClickFunnels products to an interested audience, or if you’re promoting affiliate offers to an audience in any other niche, using an affiliate funnel is one of the most effective ways to do it.
Since you can use ClickFunnels to build your affiliate sales funnels, it makes sense to use the software to sell your offers, especially if you are also promoting any of the ClickFunnels products.
From testing a lot of the funnel builders on the market, I can tell you that ClickFunnels is by far one of the best for building all types of funnels, including affiliate bridge page funnels.
If you still want to know how to start affiliate marketing with ClickFunnels, then here are the steps:
#1. Choose a Niche
Choosing the right niche for affiliate marketing is essential to the success of your online business.
The first step is to find a niche that you are passionate about, or at the very least, one that you have a genuine interest in. This will make it easier for you to create content, find good products, and promote offers.
Carrying out some market research is an important step in the process of choosing your niche. Fortunately, there are several free tools out there that you can use for this. These include tools like Google Trends, Answer The Public, and Ask Socrates.
These tools will help you to assess the demand for a chosen niche, and assess the potential competition.
It’s important to make sure that the niche you choose has a high earning potential, with products that have a good affiliate commission rate and are in high demand.
It is also important to consider your target audience and make sure the products you promote cater to them and that there is a large enough market to participate in.
Lastly, research your competition and their strategies and determine if there is room for you to improve upon what they are already doing.
#2. Choose an Affiliate Product
Choosing good affiliate products is another critical step for success with affiliate marketing.
Firstly, you need to choose products that have a high-profit potential. Wasting time only promoting low-ticket offers won’t get you anywhere. You need a good mix of high-ticket products, recurring commission products, and a few low-ticket offers that have high demand.
That being said, choose just one product to get started, which will be the primary offering of your business. I recommend making this primary product either a high-paying offer or a product that pays you a recurring monthly affiliate commission.
The reputation of the product and the company behind it is also critically important. If you promote products by bad companies then you run the risk of damaging your reputation, not getting paid, or both. So, make sure the products you promote are reputable and have a good track record.
Reading reviews for customer feedback on products is a very good idea before signing up to promote a product. This can also help you to assess the competition to see what is already popular and what gaps there are in the market you can fill.
The target audience is another key factor to consider when choosing affiliate products. Make sure the products you promote are relevant and useful to your target audience.
#3. Create Your Affiliate Funnel
Fortunately, an affiliate funnel is a very simple funnel, so it won’t take you too long at all to get one set up. Couple this with the power of a ClickFunnels template and their drag-and-drop editor and you can be ready to launch your funnel in as little as 30 minutes.
An affiliate funnel typically consists of 3 pages:
- The landing page (also known as a squeeze page)
- The ‘thank you’ page
- The bridge page
Some affiliates don’t use a thank you page, or they combine it with the bridge page, but personally, I’ve got better results using 3 separate pages.
The landing page is a simple page that promotes a free offer (known as a lead magnet) in exchange for the visitor’s email address. Here’s an example of a landing page that I use:
Once the visitor opts in to receive your free lead magnet, they automatically join your email list.
At this point, your free lead magnet is automatically emailed to them. At the same time, the visitor is then redirected to the second page – the ‘thank you’ page (or bridge page if you are using a 2-step affiliate funnel).
The ‘thank you’ page simply thanks the visitor for subscribing to your email list, and gives them instructions on how they can access the lead magnet.
The thank you page then also invites the visitor to gain a quick solution to a problem by clicking a button on the page. This button then takes them to the bridge page.
Here is the thank you page for this funnel:
The bridge page is so called because it’s your opportunity to ‘bridge’ the visitor over to an affiliate product.
This page usually contains a simple headline, a short 1-2 minute sales video of you explaining the affiliate offer, and a button to purchase the product that you are recommending.
Here is the bridge page for this funnel:

Creating Your Free Lead Magnet
Many people agonize over what type of lead magnet to use, and how to create it.
Fortunately, it’s pretty simple.
The best types of lead magnets to use are:
- eBooks
- Checklists
- Cheat sheets
- A case study
- A free course
- A software
Below, is a video I made to show you how to quickly and easily create a high-quality eBook to use as a lead magnet. I show you how to do this with ChatGPT and 2 other free software tools.
#4. Set Up Your Automated Email Campaign
Since new email subscribers will be joining your email list by opting in via your funnel, it’s wise to set up an automated email marketing campaign that will email your subscribers for you at pre-designated times.
Your automated email campaign will help you to build rapport with your email list, and enable you to sell affiliate products. In this way, your automated email sequence is another great way for you to earn passive income.
When it comes to email marketing tools, be aware that not all platforms out there are affiliate-friendly. Some will shut you down merely by including an affiliate link in one of your emails.
Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. You can see my list of the best email autoresponders for affiliate marketing here.
#5. Choose Your Traffic Source
Now that your affiliate sales funnel and automated email sequence are set up and ready to go, the next step is to send traffic to your funnel.
You can do this either via free or paid traffic. If you’re just getting started then I highly recommend you start with free traffic. While there is a learning curve with both free and paid traffic, you can easily lose a lot of money if you use paid traffic while you’re still learning affiliate marketing.
Once you’ve had consistent success as an affiliate by using free traffic, then by all means, move over to paid traffic if you prefer.
The best free traffic sources for affiliate marketing are:
- YouTube
- Blogging
- TikTok
Start with just one traffic source, and then add more over time if you want or need to. Having said that, many successful affiliate marketers only use one traffic source.
#6. Create Content & Direct People To Your Funnel
Now you’ve chosen your traffic source, the only thing left to do is to start creating content on your chosen platform and direct people to your funnel landing page.
Consistent content is the key, both in your posting frequency and in the consistency of your marketing messages.
Free ClickFunnels Accounts
While ClickFunnels doesn’t have a free lifetime plan, there are 3 different ways you can use ClickFunnels for free for a certain amount of time.
Here’s how.
Option 1 – 14-Day Free Trial
The first option is to take ClickFunnels’ free 14-day trial plan. This is offered as a standard for anyone who signs up to use the software.
Option 2 – 30-Day Free Trial
The second option is to get an extended ClickFunnels 30-day trial when you sign up for the free ClickFunnels training at www.yourfirstfunnelchallenge.com.
Option 3 – ClickFunnels Free For 1 Year
The third option is to get free access to use ClickFunnels for one year when you purchase the Funnel Builder Secrets package.
Funnel Builder Secrets basically teaches you everything you need to know to be successful with ClickFunnels, regardless if you want to do affiliate marketing, or if you want to build any other type of business online.
Many of ClickFunnels’ 2 Comma Club winners have stated that the secret to their success is thanks to going through the Funnel Builder Secrets course.
If you plan to become a ClickFunnels affiliate so you can promote ClickFunnels products, then you can earn a very substantial commission on the Funnel Builder Secrets package when you sell it, since it’s a high-ticket product.
However, you’ll have a much better chance to make sales if you’ve actually used the product yourself, which is another great reason to buy this deal offer if you’re a ClickFunnels affiliate.
After all, it’s pretty difficult to promote something you haven’t actually used yourself.
Using ClickFunnels For Affiliate Marketing – Final Thoughts
Now you know how to use ClickFunnels for affiliate marketing, the next step is to sign up for a ClickFunnels free 14-day trial plan.
I then recommend going through the free ClickFunnels affiliate boot camp training here, which will help you plan out your affiliate marketing strategy.
While the affiliate boot camp training will be more useful for you if you specifically want to learn affiliate marketing, there is also another free training that ClickFunnels offers, which is called the Your First Funnel Challenge.
The reason I also mention the Your First Funnel Challenge is because when you sign up for this training you will get a free 30-day trial of ClickFunnels. So, since the www.yourfirstfunnelchallenge.com training is also free, and you’ll get double time on your free trial, you might as well also sign up for this Challenge too, even if you don’t go through that training course.
Make sense?
