The course first launched in 2017 and since has gained notoriety for being one of the best affiliate SEO courses out there.

The course creator, Matt Diggity is also known as one of the most trusted and respected guys in SEO.

But is Matt’s Affiliate Lab course really that good?

As an Affiliate Lab member myself, I’m gonna break down the course for you and give you all the inside info you need.

In this Affiliate Lab review, I’m also gonna guide you through the Affiliate Lab pros and cons, the refund policy, how it compares to other affiliate marketing courses, and what other students really think about the course.

What Is The Affiliate Lab?

What I particularly like about the Affiliate Lab (and what I think really makes it stand out from a lot of other SEO courses out there) is that Matt’s method of SEO is based 100% on actual test results.

While SEO is an excellent way to build a long-term, sustainable business online, it is important to know that this method takes time. Don’t expect to join this course and have a website up and running, and make money in 30 days. This is the long-term play.

Having said that, if you like the idea of building a business that uses probably the most passive form of making money online, then the Affiliate Lab will be a great fit for you.

Affiliate SEO is also great for people people who are more introverted. You can build a website and be a “behind the scenes” person without having your face all over the internet. This suits a lot of people.

This course is taught via video lessons. When you join the Lab you’ll have access to a ton of information that covers pretty much every aspect of SEO that is working today.

The course teaches you everything from niche selection to get your site built and live, getting through the sandbox phase, and all the way to authority mode. Then, if you want to sell your site in the future for a large payday, the Lab teaches you that too.

Matt and Jay practice what they preach, and are constantly keeping the course updated. And whenever there’s a new Google update, Matt brings you the insider’s date from all his test sites, as well as his portfolio of authority sites.

Between Matt Diggity and his colleagues, they usually figure out the new changes made by Google within a few days to a few weeks. If you’re in the Lab then you’ll get that information so you can stay on top of your game.

The Affiliate Lab also has a private Facebook group where other students of the course network, share ideas, and offer help. As a member of the Lab myself, I can attest to this group being probably the most helpful one I am a member of.

The group is very active and has a lot of successful affiliates in the group who are willing to help out new members.

Basically, Matt’s the real deal, he does affiliate SEO for a living, and he makes a hell of a lot of money doing it too.

SEO Testing

If you really want to nerd out on SEO and do your own testing then you’ll appreciate this new section that has been added to the Lab.

As I said earlier, Matt and his team are constantly running SEO tests, and they report back on what’s working in the course material updates and in the private Facebook group.

This is great for me because I’m not personally interested in running my own SEO tests. However, if this is of interest to you then you can learn exactly how to do it here in the Lab.

This course is still being added to, but here are the available lessons so far:

 What I Like About The Affiliate Lab

As a member, I can tell you there’s a lot to love about this course. The training is thorough and constantly updated, which is a must for me.

I also value the insider’s info that Matt and his team give them members whenever there’s a new Google update. Having access to this info has saved my business on a number of occasions. In my opinion, this is also an absolute must if you’re gonna be serious about SEO.

The private Facebook group is also excellent. It’s a highly active and supportive community with members ranging from complete beginners to highly experienced SEO specialists, some of which earn well over 6-figures per month from their SEO businesses.

I can honestly say that this is probably the most helpful Facebook group I’m a member of. There’s always someone (often multiple people) in the group who is keen to help and offer insight, help, support, and guidance when needed.

In 2020 Matt also started a thread using a pole and asking each member to check which income bracket they fall into regarding their affiliate earnings. The purpose of this thread is each month a member from any given income bracket can reach out to a member who is in the bracket immediately below them (via private FB Messenger) and ask if they need help with anything they may be stuck with.

Basically, Matt wants to encourage all Lab members to help each other get to the next level. And you can also use the pole to see who’s in the bracket above you and reach out to them to ask for help too.

That’s pretty cool!

What I Think Could Be Improved

When you first get into the Lab it can be a little overwhelming as there’s just so much info available.

When I first joined I did find that the info was not organized in an easily navigatable way. However, in 2020 Matt also asked all members to give some feedback on how the course could be improved, and what other training they would like to see included. Since then, the organization of course material has also been improved.

Who Should Take The Affiliate Lab Course?

This course is perfect for intermediate and experienced affiliate SEOs as well as absolute beginners.

If you’re looking to make money from home or start a new business, then this course could be a good fit for you.

If you like the idea of building a website to earn passive income from while you sleep then I definitely recommend the Affiliate Lab. That’s why I joined, and I can tell you from experience it is an excellent course.

If you are already an experienced SEO, but you feel that you don’t quite have the full picture, or if you’ve been foxed by some of the latest Google updates then the Affiliate Lab is also for you.

Thirdly, if you’re an experienced SEO and you want to plug into an advanced SEO community, then I would also recommend you join the Affiliate Lab. Once you’re in, you’ll get access to the private member’s Facebook group.

This is probably the most helpful group of marketers I’ve ever connected with.

Who Should Not Take The Affiliate Lab Course?

If you are looking for an online marketing course that will get you earning money within the next 30 days then the Affiliate Lab is not for you.

This method relies on building websites that will earn you passive income over time. Building a website takes time and dedication, so you need to be down with that if you want this method to work for you.

Affiliate Lab Pricing

Lifetime access to the Affiliate Lab is a one-time investment of $997. Once you’re in, you get full access to all future updates, including all the latest info on Google updates based on real-world tests, for life.

Affiliate Lab Best Alternative

In my opinion, the Affiliate Lab is an excellent course for both beginners and experienced affiliates who love earning passive income by building websites. And if you want to get into website flipping then this course is a must.

However, for beginners who are not interested in learning other income skills that the Lab teaches such as website flipping, hiring and outsourcing, and email marketing, but instead they only want a step-by-step authority blueprint for building an affiliate site then the Authority Site System is a great alternative.

The Authority Site System (a.k.a TASS) is a course for beginners to build a profitable affiliate site by following a step-by-step plan.

The Authority Site System is run by the guys behind the Authority Hacker brand, Gael Bretton and Mark Webster. I also have access to this course and I do highly rate it for beginners and low-experienced affiliate marketers who want to build an affiliate site. This course is also constantly kept up to date.

However, as I already mentioned, the Authority Site System does not teach you other skills that the Affiliate Lab does teach you, such as scaling up your business, hiring a team, flipping sites, buying established sites, email marketing etc.

Affiliate Lab Review – My Final Thoughts

Overall, I think the Affiliate Lab is worth joining if you’re serious about making money online through SEO. This course will teach you how to do things right, and avoid mistakes that others have made before you.

If you like the idea of building passive income assets that can generate steady income for you, or if you want to learn how to buy existing websites to flip for a profit then this course is definitely for you.

Overall, I give the Affiliate Lab by Matt Diggity 4.8 stars out of 5. The only potential drawback (in my opinion) is potential information overload. There’s just so much content in the course. However, it really just comes down to how you approach it.

Don’t expect to get into the Lab and learn everything in a weekend. It’s gonna take some time.

Having said that, if you like the idea of having lifetime access to a course that is constantly updated, and one that you can rely on to support your learning for years to come, then the Affiliate Lab is a no-brainer!
