Hello and welcome to entrepreneurnut.com. My name is Steve, I am the owner of this blog. I am in the process of getting this site set up. so please bear with me.
My intention is to grow Entrepreneur Nut into a large resource for entrepreneurs helping them to start, grow, and scale an online business.
I wanted to be an entrepreneur since I was very young. For me, my entrepreneurial journey began when I was about 11 years old I started my own car washing business with a friend. We’d go round the neighborhood at the weekends washing people’s cars. We were so good at it that we even built up a steady stream of regular customers. Not bad for an 11-year-old!
My next venture came when I was about 15. A friend and I would go up to London on the weekends to look around wholesale warehouses for stock we could flog to the other kids at school. We decided to buy some cheap (but nice-looking) watches, novelty lighters, and key rings and then see what would sell the best at school. The novelty lighters were the clear winner and we made a nice little profit on them.
Unfortunately, our little business venture came to an end when a kid set fire to one of the headrests on the school bus. Lucky for us he didn’t snitch on us, but we thought it was probably a good idea not to sell lighters at school anymore and lay low for a while.
My Journey Into Online Marketing
I first started working online in 2011 when I learn how to build WordPress websites. I needed one for my brick and mortar business but soon started building them for other people as a side hustle. Soon after I became obsessed with SEO and was determined to get my site featured all over Google, which I eventually did after some trial and error.
I then tried my hand at selling on Amazon and also drop shipping. Although those are both great business models, I decided they weren’t for me.
I found affiliate marketing in 2013 and haven’t looked back. For me, affiliate marketing is one of the best business models a person can use to grow a second income online. With a little discipline, you can then move towards building a job-replacing income.
I also first began learning SEO in 2012. Combining the two, I have found affiliate SEO to be fun and highly rewarding.
In 2014 I started a one-man agency helping local businesses with their online marketing, with a focus on SEO.
While this business was a success, I still felt like I had a job, so I closed the business in 2017 to focus all my online efforts into my affiliate marking business.
I am now at the stage where I am beginning to create my own products to compliment my affiliate marketing business.
Affiliate marketing, SEO, online business, and entrepreneurship are all strong passions of mine. I have started Entrepreneur Nut as a place where I can share my journey, my successes and failures as well as the resources I use to help me grow my business.
I hope you enjoy Entrepreneur Nut and get a lot of value form it!
To your success,
P.S: You can read more about my journey here.
