SendLane vs GetResponse – Which One Is Best?

A person looking at SendLane vs GetResponse on a laptop

Choosing an autoresponder is not as straightforward as you might think. They can differ greatly from platform to platform.

Some are better suited to large corporations, while others are specifically targeted at small businesses, eCommerce merchants, and bloggers.

Beyond this, you also need to consider the features that you will need to use.

In today’s article, I’m gonna be comparing SendLane vs GetResponse. If you’re a solopreneur or a small-medium-sized business owner who needs advanced automation capabilities and you can’t compromise on deliverability, then either of these platforms can work for you.

Both platforms, however, have different features that can benefit you in a number of ways.

So, which is best?

Let’s find out.

SendLane Vs GetResponse Overview

To kick-off, I’m gonna first give you a little background on each of the companies so you know who you’re getting into bed with if you decide to sign up with either of them.

After, I’ll be diving straight into the unique features, benefits, capabilities, and differences between the two.

Introducing SendLane

Jimmy Kim founded Sendlane in 2013. Since then, it has become one of the most popular email marketing tools on the market. On their homepage, it states that over 1700 companies use SendLane and that they send around 40+ million emails daily, which is an impressive figure.

Sendlane’s main features are:

  • Email marketing tools
  • SMS Marketing tools
  • Intelligent features
  • Marketing Automation
  • Multivariable segmentation
  • Sendlane beacon
  • Real-time analytics
  • Deep-data integrations
  • Experiments

SendLane is known for focusing on comprehensive email tools that help its users generate more revenue. An example of this is their advanced personalization and analytics capabilities.

Leading with their foot forward in the email marketing arena, they advocate that “email marketing should be your #1 source of revenue for your business”.

SendLane’s email automation and segmentation features have particularly been widely praised by all types of eCommerce stores, affiliates, and other online businesses, as well as their deliverability scores.

Introducing GetResponse

GetResponse has been around for much longer than SendLane and was founded by Simon Grabowski in 1999.

Initially, Simon just meant to create GetResponse for his own personal use to solve a few problems for his other business. However, he quickly realized the power and potential of the platform, and eventually, the email marketing software became the business.

Fast forward to now, it’s one of the most popular email tools on the planet.

GetResponse’s main features are:

  • Newsletters
  •  Behavior-based email automation sequences/Workflows
  • Email Autoresponders (This is what GetResponse calls basic non-behavior-based automations)
  • Landing page builder
  • Forms and Pop-ups
  • List Management
  • CRM
  • Sales Funnels
  • Webinars

GetResponse is best for those who want a powerful email marketing platform that also has additional tools like funnel builders, webinars, and CRM built-in.

Since it started as an autoresponder many years ago, it has now evolved into much more. Today, you can build your entire marketing funnel using only GetResponse, and it’s a powerful lead-generating machine.

 SendLane Features and Benefits

Now that we have covered some basic information about both companies, let’s look at what Sendlane offers in more detail.

What SendLane Has That GetResponse Does Not Have

SendLane really puts a lot of effort into helping you send more personalized emails. This is mostly where it outperforms Getresponse.

Emails Based on Your Visitor’s Behaviour

SendLane has many tools that allow you to use your visitors’ behavior info to personalize the emails and send them at exactly the right time. You can track every visit from the first time to the moment they purchase and beyond. All of this data is available to you so you can use it with your automation sequences.

GetResponse does have a similar trigger in their automation workflows, but it’s not quite as comprehensive as SendLane’s feature.

SendLane has a special “beacon” that follows your visitor through the website so that you can target them based on what they’re most likely to purchase.

As you can imagine, this is a pretty powerful feature that helps you increase your conversions and sales.

More Detailed Financial Analytics

GetResponse and Sendlane’s analytics are different.

SendLane’s email analytics give you a few more financial metrics than GetResponse does. For example, things like the average order value, or ROI of a single email, can be very beneficial to see how well they are working.

GetResponse has a similar metric in their funnel ROI, but we’ll talk about that a little later.

For the emails only, though, SendLane has better analytics. They’ll be a lot more helpful in your decisions, thanks to the financial metrics mentioned above.

Intelligent Pop-Ups

SendLane’s pop-ups also slightly outperform GetResponse’s.

You have a few more options in terms of types of pop-ups, and you also have a bit more flexibility in where and how they should appear. For example, you can choose what web pages and devices you want your forms to pop-up on, and go into the details of the timing, etc.

GetResponse has a standard form that you can embed. Or, you can use their pop-ups on pages within GetResponse, which do have some decent options. However, it’s not quite the same as this feature from SendLane.

SMS Marketing

Another cool thing about SendLane is that you can send your customers SMS messages.

SMS messages are extremely effective, as you probably know because most people don’t miss texts. This allows you to engage and notify your customers at any point.

SendLane also allows you to add these easily into your email sequences so that you can combine them well together.

SendLane Pros

  • Great support
  • Lots of great automation features
  • Hyper-personalized emails for higher conversions
  • Very detailed analytics with lots of financial metrics
  • SMS marketing helps you engage your customers any time, anywhere

SendLane Cons

  • Tools can be a little complicated for a beginner
  • No landing page builder or anything else besides email and SMS marketing

What SendLane Is Particularly Good At

One word; Personalization.

I don’t think I could name many autoresponders that have this level of personalization. It has a powerful tracking pixel and the “beacon” that gives you a lot more information than most of its competitors.

Using this data, you can drive more sales because you know what your visitors are interested in.

SendLane Ease of Use

On the whole, SendLane is very easy to use. The automation builder is drag and drop, and everything is extremely visual. For example, even the triggers have little logos next to them, and it’s just overall quite easy to use.

The only thing I think is where a lot of beginners would trip up when using the platform is all the personalization that you can use (if you want to). I think there are many tools that the platform has, so that it may be a little overwhelming at first.

SendLane Deliverability Rates

The average email open rate is around 15-25%. However, if most of your emails aren’t getting delivered in the first place then that number could rapidly drop to 10, 5, or even 0%. So, it’s important to choose an autoresponder with good deliverability rates.

According to SendLane’s website, they claim that they have one of the best deliverability rates around.

They go onto say that they have in-house deliverability experts, whereas many autoresponders outsource their deliverability management.

Here is an interesting video that shows you SendLane’s deliverability.

Who Is SendLane Good For

SendLane is great for people and businesses that want to make good use of the personalization tools to increase conversions. This is applicable to almost any type of business really.

With SendLane, businesses can use advanced personalization tools to target their customers much more efficiently.

SendLane is also an affiliate marketing-friendly autoresponder, so affiliates can use it too to help increase conversions.

For example, someone with an affiliate site could track which pages (and the products on those pages) the visitor has been looking at. From there, they can send an email with those products, some social proof, discounts, etc., to push sales.

Although affiliates wouldn’t have full control over their tracking codes, I still think these features are can be very useful.

In fact, ClickFunnels’ number one affiliate, Spencer Mecham, claims that SendLane is the best autoresponder for affiliate marketers, as you can see in the video below.

If you still want even more detailed info on this autoresponder platform then I recommend you read my SendLane review.

GetResponse Features and Benefits

SendLane has some pretty impressive features. Now let’s look at how GetResponse compares.

What GetResponse Has That SendLane Does Not Have

GetResponse also has some features of its own that Sendlane doesn’t have. Below, I’ve explained all of them in a little more detail.

Landing Page Builder

If you’re looking to create any email marketing campaign, you’ll likely need a landing page. GetResponse comes with a great built-in drag-and-drop landing page builder, which makes it very easy to create them.

It’s easy to use and also allows you to integrate payment processors to collect payments.

Having this built-in will definitely save you some money as you won’t need an external tool.

Webinars

GetResponse has a comprehensive webinar feature. It allows you to host both live and pre-recorded (evergreen) webinars, which can be a great way to sell high-ticket products or engage your audience.

It even has some engagement tools such as surveys, which is pretty cool too.

Plus, as it’s in the same platform as your landing page builder, your automation sequences, etc., it’s straightforward to connect all the dots to get things set up smoothly.

Conversion Funnel

GetRespone has a conversion funnel feature that lets you visualize your marketing funnel. This makes the building process and keeping an overview of all your processes a lot easier. Plus, it might also spark some ideas that could help you generate more sales, so it’s definitely extremely beneficial.

The conversion funnel feature inside GetResponse has some great analytics, which is similar to those in SendLane. For example, ROI of the funnel overall or the value per lead.

CRM and List Management

GetResponse also allows you to track all your leads and manage them with a CRM feature.

Again, this feature is also very visual as you can drag leads names in the sales process and get any info you may need about them.

SendLane also has some decent list management tools, but it’s not quite like the built-in CRM tool that GetResponse has.

Ad Creator

GetResponse also helps you create and manage your Facebook ads and Google ads from inside your account. So, you won’t have to even open Facebook’s (often confusing) business manager to create an ad, which is pretty cool.

GetResponse even allows you to create and design professional-looking ads, even if you don’t have any design skills. If you are looking to run ads into your funnels, webinars, landing pages, etc., this feature is definitely nice to have.

GetResponse Pros

  • GetResponse allows you to create a powerful marketing system
  • Easy-to-use landing page builder with beautiful templates
  • Comprehensive webinar tool to help you sell your products and engage your audience
  • Great CRM and List management to help you manage and engage your contacts
  • Powerful Marketing automation tools for your business
  • Great conversion funnel feature with detailed analytics

GetResponse Cons

  • Compared to SendLane, not as good personalization, but still pretty solid and better than the majority of autoresponders
  • No SMS marketing

What GetResponse Is Particularly Good At

GetResponse is particularly good at helping you build an entire marketing funnel.

This marketing funnel takes your visitor from not knowing you to becoming a loyal customer. And, GetResponse has an outstanding tool for every step of the process including generating leads and converting them into paying customers.

With a combination of them, you have everything you need to build your online business.

If you want to compare GetResponse’s funnel features to other top funnel builders on the market, or if you prefer to use SendLane as your autoresponder but still need a sales funnel builder, then I recommend you read my article here on the best funnel builder software.

Get Response Ease of Use

GetResponse had a big update a couple of years ago, making it now one of the easiest autoresponder platforms to use. Now everything is drag and drop; the emails, the automation workflows, the landing pages, the webinars… Everything.

It’s also effortless to keep an overview of everything thanks to the analytics and conversion funnel features.

GetResponse Deliverability Rates

GetResponse sheds a little more light on their exact percentages than SendLane. According to their website, their overall deliverability is 99%.

They also have various resources to help you make sure your emails land in the inbox. One of them is a little scoring system when you are writing emails, which is pretty helpful.

So, in terms of Deliverability, GetResponse wins overall, as it has industry-leading deliverability rates and also shares its percentage info with you.

Who Is GetResponse Good For

GetResponse can work well for almost any business;

  • Ecommerce stores
  • Affiliates
  • Info-product vendors
  • Service-businesses (Consultants, agencies, etc.)

All of these types of businesses can use GetResponse’s tools effectively to grow. But, I think GetResponse could work exceptionally well for service-based businesses, info-product vendors, and affiliates.

These types of businesses can make good use of the landing page tools, sales funnels, and webinar tools. Then, they can combine these with marketing automation tools to engage and convert their audience.

If you want more detailed info on this automation platform then I recommend you read my detailed GetResponse review.

 SendLane Vs GetResponse – Pricing

Now that we have taken a look at the value these platforms provide, let’s look at the cost they come at.

SendLane Pricing

Even though SendLane doesn’t offer a low-priced starter plan like most of the competition, it’s actually good value considering what you get for your money, despite their plans starting at $99 per month.

Below, I’ve explained SendLane’s their plans in more detail.

SendLane Growth – $99 Per Month ($79 p/m if paid annually)

SendLane’s growth plan comes with a whopping 5,000 subscribers, which is pretty solid for $99 per month.

It also comes with all of the features that are offered on the platform, so I think this plan would suit a large number of businesses that want to use SendLane. This plan offers a lot of value for a reasonable price. Although, if you are starting your business, $99 per month for an autoresponder can be a little steep.

SendLane Professional Plus – $249 per month (208 p/m if paid annually)

SendLane’s professional plus plan is for anyone with over 10,000 contacts. Here, you also get access to all the features, plus:

  • White glove custom onboarding
  • Dedicated customer success manager
  • Program reviews, once a month
  • Proactive Deliverability monitoring

Another pretty solid plan, as it has a lot of value, especially for businesses with, let’s say, 50,000 contacts, as the costs with competitors, could be quite a lot higher.

SendLane pricing table

GetResponse Pricing

Now let’s look at GetResponse’s pricing.

The prices below are based on 1,000 contacts. There are also annual discounts available; 18% for 12-months and 30% for 24 months.

Basic – $15 per month

The GetResponse Basic plan is perfect for new businesses and includes:

  • Facebook and Google ad creator
  • Chats
  • Basic email marketing (Non-behavior automation, newsletters, etc.)
  • Unlimited landing pages
  • 1 Sales funnel
  • Unlimited lead generation funnels

Plus – $49 per month

The GetResponse Plus plan has everything the previous one has, plus:

  • Contact scoring and tagging
  • 5 Sales Funnels
  • 5 Behavior-based automation workflows
  • Webinars with up to 100 attendees
  • Work with a team (up to 3 members)
  • 5 webinar funnels

This plan would be suited for most businesses as it gives you a lot of what GetResponse has to offer at an affordable price.

Professional $99 per month

The GetResponse Professional plan has everything in the previous plan, plus:

  • Work with 5 users
  • On-demand webinars
  • Paid webinars
  • Up to 300 attendees inside of the webinar
  • Unlimited sales funnels
  • Unlimited email automation workflows
  • Website push notifications

Final Thoughts – SendLane Vs GetResponse – Which Is Best?

I hope my SendLane vs GetResponse comparison has helped you make a good decision. If you’re still stuck, then consider what you value more, the personalization of SendLane vs the comprehensive marketing tools that come with GetResponse.

The reason I say this is because SendLane’s strongest point is personalization and targeting. While GetResponse helps you build an entire marketing system for your business that converts visitors into loyal customers.

SendLane Review – Does It Live Up To The Hype?

a computer showing SendLane review features

Email marketing — love it or hate it, it’s a necessity for any online business that wants to thrive.

A lot of small-time and beginner marketers avoid using email in the beginning. It can seem daunting, time-consuming and expensive. But take it from the, the earlier you can start building a list, the better off you will be further down the line.

If you’re gonna incorporate email marketing into your business (and you definitely should if you want to build a scalable, long-term asset) then you will need to use an autoresponder service.

Besides now being a legal requirement for email marketing, using an autoresponder will also make your list building efforts considerably easier. Unfortunately, many fall short, in my opinion — I’ve tried quite a few of them.

In the past, I’ve found myself settling for “good enough,” but since this is such an important part of my business, I am always on the look-out for the next best autoresponder to test out.

It’s a marketer’s dream to find that holy grail solution — something that’s easy to use and affiliate marketing friendly with exceptional deliverability rates.

The latest contender for the cup? SendLane. Is it a good fit for your online business, too? Let’s find out. This SendLane review will cover everything you need to know about this up-and-coming automated marketing solution.

If you’d prefer to watch a video demo of SendLane so you can see everything it can do in real-time then you can watch this SendLane demo here.

Things to Consider Before Buying an Autoresponder

Like most things in business — and life — finding the right option for you depends heavily on your preferences and needs.

Where SendLane really shines is in its simplicity of use and exceptional deliverability rates.

However, if you’re a marketer who handles massive campaigns for large organizations, then SendLane may not provide all the features you need. In this case, you may be better off with a higher-priced service that offers more automation, analytics, and bells and whistles, such as HubSpot.

However, if you’re looking for a powerful tool that’s easy to use and excels at its core features — email broadcasts, automation, and outstanding deliverability rates — SendLane might be perfect for you.

It’s an excellent fit for small to medium-sized businesses, and affiliate marketers looking for a simple user interface with plenty of automation options.

Yes, SendLane is affiliate marketing friendly! I heard this directly from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.

This is a big consideration if affiliate marketing is a core part of your business. Unfortunately, most autoresponder services don’t like affiliates and will shut you down for simply including an affiliate link in your emails. It’s happened to me…

Still not sure if SendLane autoresponder is right for you? Consider the following while you read through the rest of this SendLane review.

  • The number of customers: How many emails will you be sending out, and how often?
  • The complexity of the rules: Are you satisfied with basic features like timed sending, or do you need to get fancier?
  • Analytics: Make sure you choose an autoresponder that provides you with focused analytics reports, instead of overwhelming you with unnecessary stats.
  • GDPR-compliant: Make sure that you stay on the right side of the law and protect your customers’ privacy.

SendLane: A Closer Look

SendLane is an easy-to-use autoresponder with some very high-end tools. It features advanced contact tagging, which allows the system to automatically group subscribers by geographic region, or pretty much any other criteria you desire.

Advanced list-building options such as this are fantastic to give your marketing efforts a laser-focus with precise market targeting.

These features alone can considerably improve both your open and your conversion rates.

Its simple interface also makes it a fantastic option for novice marketers or people running their own businesses who need to handle the marketing on their own.

In my opinion, it does take a bit of time to fully understand the system, but the results are well worth it. Having said that, all the autoresponder services I have used to date do have a bit of a learning curve.

SendLane Pros and Cons

Here’s a quick overview of the pro’s and con’s of using SendLane to give you a flavor.

SendLane Pros:

  • Intuitive design
  • Exceptional deliverability rates
  • Excellent support
  • Plenty of automation options with tons of triggers to choose from
  • High-end landing page and email editors
  • Simple to use drag-and-drop editor
  • Integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce, Zapier, and ClickBank available, with more coming in the future

SendLane Cons:

  • Can be spendy as your subscriber list grows
  • No onboarding process when you first install the software
  • Some aspects feel clunky

SendLane Features and Benefits

Sendlane features

By now, you probably want to know more detailed info on SendLane’s features and benefits. So here goes…

Drag and Drop Editor

One of the features I like the most about SendLane is its simple to use drag and drop editor. It makes creating visually ravishing emails simple and hassle-free, which I find fun, and a big time-saver.

You can choose from a wide variety of email elements and customize them in any way you see fit to best represent your brand and help your conversions.

There are currently about 20 templates, which is about standard among popular autoresponders in 2020.

While you can customize these, I do wish SendLane offered a slightly more extensive catalog of options. It’s not a deal-breaker though as you can also create your own templates from scratch if you want to.

Landing Page Creator

If you want more than just an email editor, you’ll appreciate SendLane’s landing page creator. Unlike the email editor, you get over 50 templates to choose from with an impressive range of designs.

This is a great feature as it can save you money on third-party page builders like ClickFunnels, depending on your needs, of course.

Some templates even include countdown timers, videos, and pop-ups, which is really cool. However, I struggled to figure out how to add them to other templates.

Some people may appreciate this feature, but if you’re looking strictly for an email tool, chances are you won’t use this feature at all.

Advanced Contact Tagging and Automation

SendLane goes well beyond ‘drip-feed’ email functionality and lets you set up workflows that change your email delivery depending on what your subscribers do.

You can also tag subscribers based on where they live, their sign-up source, the device they use, and pretty much any other custom tag you can think of.

Even better, this incredibly powerful functionality is very simple to set up and use, even if you’re new to the world of marketing.

For me, this is one of the most important considerations when it comes to choosing an autoresponder. If it’s intuitive and easy to use then it’s a big plus in my book.

SendLane automation

Standard Reporting and Analytics

Most marketing software gives you plenty of analytics to chew over, and SendLane is no different, offering data on:

  • Open rates
  • Click through rates
  • Bounce rates
  • Your most active subscribers with the highest open rates
  • People who unsubscribed, and their stated reason

Most of these analytics work in real-time, so you’ll always have an up-to-date view of what’s going on in your marketing campaign — without being overwhelmed.

SendLane provides a manageable amount of data presented in an easy-to-read format. Because of this, it is so much easier to act on your data to make improvements where you need to.

Data analytics

What I particularly like about the data the SendLane provides is that you can set up all your different campaigns and have it track all the clicks and conversions on your website as well as the conversions that come directly from your emails, as you can see below.

SendLane’s data can even help you track all the clicks and sales that are coming from each of your email campaigns, and report on how much each subscriber has spent with you.

As you can see from the screenshot below, this subscriber made a purchase via email of $99.

This is super powerful, especially if you run an eCom business or if you create your own digital products!

Automatically Optimized Send Times

Unlike many autoresponders that ask you to figure out the best time to send your emails, SendLane will optimize the process for you, which is awesome!

The program analyses previous email open rates and suggests the perfect time to send the next one.

Best of all, you can set up this functionality on an individual email basis, tailoring every single person’s experience to their particular habits, if you want to go that deep. Alternatively, you can save time and just let SendLane optimize the whole sending process for you.

Creating a List of Contracts

Lists are key to customizing your email campaigns.

SendLane lets you add contacts to as many lists as you like, and duplicates don’t count towards your contact limit.

This is important to be aware of as some autoresponders like Aweber will count contacts multiple times if they are subscribed to more than one of your lists. This means that you will quickly reach your subscriber limit and then need to upgrade to a higher priced plan. But with SendLane, you don’t need to worry about this.

You can even set different rules for each list, giving you granular control over your entire subscriber base.

Once you’ve set up your lists, you can also automate adding new subscribers to each particular list as they sign up.

SendLane allows you to create a form for new sign-ups or integrate your existing website API in some cases.

Email Broadcasts in SendLane

Email broadcasts are the bread and butter of email marketing, and SendLane’s process is streamlined and simple.

The broadcast tool gives you over 20 marketing templates along with customization for when to send out the email.

Email Automation in SendLane

We’ve touched upon this briefly when discussing automation, but SendLane offers a very powerful workflow tool that allows you to send emails in a very focused manner.

Workflow setup is pretty simple — you can either start with a template or from scratch.

Not only does SendLane have a comprehensive list of triggers, but it also allows for if/else functionality, which is pretty powerful.

If/else workflows let you customize your workflow even further. The simple flow-chart layout makes understanding the process significantly easier for people just starting in marketing.

advanced automation in SendLane

API and Integrations

API, or ‘application programming interface,’ is a method for a particular program to talk with other programs.

If you want to integrate SendLane functionality with another program, you can use their well-documented API to do so quite easily.

SendLane also allows other programs to talk to it, such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and ClickBank.

They are still working on adding more integrations with other common platforms, like WordPress, which is surprisingly still missing. However, if you use Zapier then you can integrate SendLane with pretty much anything.

Onboarding

SendLane takes the ‘throw them in the deep end’ approach to onboarding, in that they don’t offer any form of tutorial, which is a shame.

Luckily, the user interface is simple to use, and the processes streamlined enough that you should be able to figure it out by yourself.

If you feel entirely lost, then you can click the red help button to contact customer support or check out some SendLane tutorials on YouTube.

Automation

Naturally, an autoresponder has to hit automation out of the park.

SendLane provides plenty of robust automation tools with a simple user interface to make your life easier.

The platform’s workflows are clear and effective. In my opinion, it provides everything that most digital marketers will need.

Deliverability

SendLane has a very aggressive list culling and hygiene processes in place to reduce the number of dead or false email addresses you have to deal with and pay for during a campaign.

The program also generates easy-to-follow deliverability reports, allowing you to see how many of your emails are actually delivered.

You can see exactly how SendLane’s deliverability compares to its competitors in this SendLane comparison chart here.

Ease of Use

Despite the lack of onboarding, SendLane is surprisingly easy to use. Even its most powerful features are simple to figure out.

With plenty of click-and-drag functionality and clear visuals, most users, even beginner marketers will probably get the hang of things on the first use.

Social Proof

While I could go on about the features I liked and didn’t like about SendLane, it’s also worthwhile to find out what other people think.

I scoured the internet to find out what people on the ground, such as entrepreneurs and small business owners, think of SendLane.

Most people overall seemed to like it a lot.

The reviews weren’t glowing across the board — I’d question their authenticity if they were — but, overall, SendLane reviews are quite positive.

Here are some of the SendLane reviews I found from business owners and marketers:

SendLane Pricing

As you no doubt understand by now, SendLane offers way above average functionality and provides several ways to help you increase your subscriber base and generate higher revenue from your campaigns.

Due to this, and the additional new features that SendLane have added to their service, they have recently changed their pricing structure.

Perviously, SendLane’s starting price was $25 per month, which was about middle of the road compared to its competitors.

While SendLane’s new pricing structure is higher, they do offer a very attractive starter bundle for new members, which is $497 for the year. This works out at just over $41 per month.

While this can seem like a lot to beginner marketers, those who have been in business for a while and understand the importance of the features that SendLane offer will likely see this as a great deal.

On the starter plan you get everything on SendLane’s more expensive growth plan for your first 6 months.

Below is a screenshot of their pricing table.

SendLane pricing table

You can see SendLane’s full pricing page here.

SendLane Alternatives

SendLane offers a heaping plate of appealing features, but if it doesn’t meet your needs, there are plenty of other more time-tested autoresponders out there.

Here are some alternatives that you may also want to consider.

Aweber

The main difference between the two is the presentation and price.

While SendLane definitely has more advanced automation features, Aweber offers quite a few more templates, as well as a more competitive starting cost. This can be appealing for beginners who don’t need fancy automation processes.

It is a superb option for small businesses who want to dip their toe into email marketing without spending too much money.

SendLane, however, is a better option for marketers who want more powerful automation and a few nice extras that Aweber doesn’t have.

Aweber:

  • More affordable–starts at $19/month
  • Larger support team
  • More standard email templates
  • Affiliate marketing friendly

SendLane:

  • Comes with a landing page builder
  • Better automation features
  • $25/month starting price

If you’re looking for an email-focused product with plenty of support and a more affordable starting price, check out Aweber here.

GetResponse

GetResponse is an industry leader when it comes to email marketing. It’s the ideal solution for large-scale operations that handle thousands of emails per day and companies that want an all-in-one solution.

SendLane is a more customized tool that’s perfect for smaller businesses, e-commerce owners, and digital agencies that need powerful automation without many other marketing tools.

GetResponse:

  • High deliverability
  • Customized plans for added flexibility and scalability
  • GetResponse has been on the market for years, with the track record to prove it
  • Affiliate marketing friendly

SendLane:

  • Approachable and user-friendly interface
  • Email timing optimization
  • Tagging and list-based automation

If you want a cheaper starting price option than SendLane with similar functionality, GetResponse may be the right choice for you. Check out GetResponse here or read my GetResponse review.

Mailer Lite

If you want an autoresponder that is very low priced and even has a free forever plan, but with good functionality then Mailer Lite is a good option.

It’s important to note that it’s not affiliate marketing friendly, but if your business does not revolve around promoting affiliate offers then this is not a problem.

One work-around to using an autoresponder that does not allow you to put affiliate links directly in the emails is to create a landing page with your affiliate link, and then link to the landing page from your emails.

As mentioned earlier, autoresponder service offers a free forever plan with limited functionality. However, when you do start paying, it is considerably cheaper than many other options on the market.

GetResponse vs ActiveCampaign – Which Is Best For Your Business In 2021?

A compater comparing GetResponse vs ActiveCampaign

GetResponse vs ActiveCampaign can be a tricky choice, as they both have some great features to offer.

In this article, I’m going to take a look at what both of these email marketing platforms have to offer to help you make the best-suited choice for your business.

I have used both of these platforms myself, so I’ll also give you my opinions on both from my own personal experience.

Both these email marketing platforms are great for all kinds of businesses, which I’ll get into a bit later in the article. However, one thing to note is that these two platforms have slightly different policies when it comes to affiliate marketing.

ActiveCampaign isn’t really affiliate-friendly and doesn’t like its members using affiliate links. However, there are ways around this if you have some experience, so it doesn’t rule out ActiveCampaign completely for affiliates. I’ll also discuss this in more detail later on.

GetResponse vs ActiveCampaign Overview

If you have been looking for a complete comparison of GetResponse and ActiveCampaign, you’ve come to the right place. I’m going to take a deep-dive look at what both of these email marketing software products have to offer, what they’re good at, and a whole lot more.

Introducing GetResponse

GetResponse was created in 1998 by Simon Grabowski when he only had $200 in his pocket. He made it to solve a business problem that he had, but he later realized that the email marketing software could be a great business itself.

Since then, it has become one of the most popular email marketing software pieces globally and has evolved into an all-in-one marketing platform that does so much more. In fact, GetResponse has an impressive number of over 350,000 customers in 183 countries.

Over the years, it has also become significantly easier to use than it used to be.

Here are GetResponse’s main features:

  • Newsletters
  •  Behavior-based email automation sequences/Workflows
  • Email Autoresponders (This is what GetResponse calls basic non-behavior-based automations)
  • Landing page builder
  • Forms and Pop-ups
  • List Management
  • CRM
  • Sales Funnels
  • Webinars

GetResponse is known for helping businesses of all sizes generate more leads and connect with their customers. It does this through its unique and effective set of features beyond helping its customers with email marketing.

Introducing ActiveCampaign

ActiveCampaign has also been around for quite some time, as it was founded in 2003 by Jason Vandeboom. Since then, it has also become extremely popular in the email marketing industry as it has over 100,000 customers.

The software offers a combination of email, sales, and marketing automation tools to help its customers convert more leads.

ActiveCampaigns main features include:

  • Email marketing
  • SMS and Email Marketing automation
  • CRM and Sales Automation

ActiveCampaign is known for having high deliverability rates and powerful CRM features that combine well with their email marketing tools. The software is best suited for small and medium-sized businesses that want to have the best possible tools on the back-end to convert their leads into sales.

GetResponse Features and Benefits

To give you a better idea of which software is best for your business, I’m going to run you through both platforms separately. This way, you can see which set of features suit your business best.

If you want a more detailed deep-dive on this autoresponder platform then I recommend you read my GetResponse review here.

What GetResponse Has That ActiveCampaign Does Not Have

The main advantage that GetResponse has over ActiveCampaign is that it is more of an all-in-one platform. It gives you tools for landing and sales pages, webinars, and sales funnels, whereas ActiveCampaign doesn’t have these features.

Below, I’ve described these in a little more detail, so you know what features you’ll have when you sign up for GetResponse.

(Better) Landing Page and Sales Page Builder

GetResponse has a built-in landing page builder, which lets you build your sales and landing pages. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder that lets you create unlimited pages with checkouts.

It comes with a wide range of templates that you can use to create different types of landing or sales pages. They’re colorful and surprisingly load quite fast, which isn’t always the case with managed page builder platforms.

Having this feature is great, as it means you won’t have to spend money on an external landing page builder. It helps you save some money, and it also makes your business a little more efficient and easier to manage as you don’t need integrations.

Although ActiveCampaign lets you build basic landing pages, it doesn’t allow you to create sales pages. Plus, GetResponse’s builder has been around for a lot longer, so it has more templates and elements that you can use.

GetResponse Funnel Builder

This feature was recently called the auto funnel feature, but now it is called the “Conversion funnel.” Either way, it’s a useful feature that can definitely make growing your business a lot easier.

You can select your campaign’s goal, and GetResponse will suggest the steps you need to take and give you templates for every part of the process. Or you can, of course, select your own if you prefer.

This feature helps you build your sales funnel and gives you a complete overview of it. I also like the GetResponse funnel builder because it shows you some excellent analytics like the ROI of your funnel as a whole or the value per lead, which can help you make better management decisions.

If you’re interested in funnel builders then I recommend you read my article on the best funnel builder software here.

GetResponse Webinars

The third feature that only GetResponse has is the webinar builder.

Surprisingly, GetResponse’s webinar builder lets you host both live webinars and pre-recorded webinars. I’ve come across quite a few platforms that don’t let you host pre-recorded webinars, so it’s pretty nice to see that GetResponse does allow this.

The GetResponse webinar feature also comes with some cool engagement tools like live chat and surveys.

These webinars can also be connected to your landing pages, sales pages, email automation workflows, and sales funnels easily. This makes running your marketing campaigns a lot easier, as you won’t need to integrate with a ton of different platforms and can easily manage everything from one dashboard.

ActiveCampaign, on the other hand, doesn’t have this feature, so if you do want to run webinars, you’ll need external software unless you use GetResponse.

GetResponse Pros

  • Powerful landing page and sales funnel builder let you convert leads effectively
  • Webinar builder gives you a great way to sell medium to high-ticket products and services
  • Great automation features to help you engage your audience and sell to them
  • Affordable pricing for all sized businesses
  • Easy to use for any skill level

GetResponse Cons

  • It has a little learning curve due to the large number of features it comes with
  • CRM is a little limited and doesn’t let you automate as much as ActiveCampaign’s

What GetResponse Is Particularly Good At

GetResponse is particularly good at giving its users an easy-to-use, all-in-one marketing system that is highly effective.

Whereas most autoresponders focus on helping their customers convert their leads into sales, GetResponse focuses on converting your visitors into sales, meaning they guide you through the entire process.

It’s becoming increasingly popular for email marketing platforms to offer landing pages, but GetResponse goes one step further and gives you webinars and sales funnels. All the features combined work extremely well to create a highly effective marketing sales machine, which no other email marketing software can create the same way.

GetResponse Ease of Use

GetResponse had a major update a few years ago and has since then been really easy to use. Even the automation workflow builder is drag and drop, just like everything else inside of the platform.

Before the update, GetResponse was quite hard to use and a little overwhelming, but that is no longer the case.

The only thing which I think could be slightly easier to use is the landing page builder for mobile. When you create the page and then switch the builder to mobile, it can be a little hard to optimize it. Then again, that might just be me.

Apart from that, though, GetResponse seems to be excellent in terms of usability. I also like the interactive tutorials for almost any feature to help beginners use the platform more effectively.

GetResponse Deliverability Rates

Deliverability is always a little tricky to review, as there are so many factors that affect it. However, according to their website, their overall deliverability rate stands at an impressive 99% success. However, 3rd party tests indicate GetResponse has a slightly lower deliverability rate of only 86%. Still, that’s pretty solid and not to spoil this article, but it’s also better than ActiveCampaign!

From my personal experience, I can tell you that I have never had any issues with GetResponse’s deliverability. Although it does always depend on your emails’ content, if you follow the usual deliverability best practices, you shouldn’t run into any issues.

GetResponse actually has a spam scoring system, which you can easily use on every email to avoid them going to spam. It will give you some suggestions as well to help you prevent your emails from going to spam.

Who Is GetResponse Good For

GetResponse offers a wide range of features that suit most modern businesses.

There are hardly any businesses out there that don’t need a great landing page builder with powerful automation features. It’s also highly likely that you will need a comprehensive sales funnel feature and a webinar builder to help you convert as many leads as possible.

Plus, as we also briefly mentioned earlier, GetResponse is affiliate-friendly. This, combined with the features and strong deliverability rates, make it a solid choice for affiliate marketers. If you are an affiliate, you’ll have everything you need to collect emails and promote affiliate offers effectively to your audience.

Overall, I think the GetResponse’s set of features can work incredibly well for:

  • Service-based businesses
  • Affiliate marketers
  • Info-product vendors
  • SaaS tools (assuming the back-end site is somewhere else)
  • E-commerce stores

GetResponse also has transactional emails, which can be especially beneficial for eCommerce businesses.

Plus, the pricing plans are also suited for businesses of all sizes, so it’s likely to fit yours too. If you need most of the tools that GetResponse offers, you’re unlikely to find a more cost-effective solution than it.

ActiveCampaign Features and Benefits

Now that we have taken a look at what GetResponse has let’s take a look at what ActiveCampaign has to offer.

What ActiveCampaign Has That GetResponse Does Not Have

The main advantage that ActiveCampaign has over GetResponse is its features on the back-end, such as the CRM, SMS, and a few additional email features. Below I’ve described them in a little more detail to help you get a better understanding.

A Better and More Automated CRM/Sales System

While GetResponse has a CRM system, it isn’t quite as advanced as ActiveCampaign’s. For example, if your lead activates specific triggers, ActiveCampaign can go as far as contacting your sales team, while GetResponse lets you manage your leads from an easy overview.

Both also come with lead scoring to help you determine the actions suited best for your business.

However, if your business does need a comprehensive CRM to help you manage your sales and automate tasks like contacting your sales team, it may be worth considering ActiveCampaign. That being said, you can also integrate some of the best CRM tools on the market with GetResponse.

A Slightly Better Email Automation System

This difference is minimal, but ActiveCampaign has a slightly better email marketing system. The reason for this is that it has a few more triggers than GetResponse. However, this difference is tiny and shouldn’t even affect most businesses.

Still, I thought I’d mention it just in case it is important to you.

SMS Marketing

ActiveCampaign also has SMS marketing features.

Have you ever received those SMS messages from Dominos or any other pizza place?

That’s exactly what this feature allows your business to do. You can also build it into the automation sequences with your emails, which is pretty cool.

Admittedly, I don’t think most businesses use SMS marketing, but I still thought it’s quite a cool feature. And it can be quite effective as well.

ActiveCampaign Pros

  • Brilliant email automations with many triggers to engage your audience
  • Powerful CRM that is comparable to a regular comprehensive CRM
  • It has a SMS marketing feature
  • You can get automation sequences on the lowest plan starting at just $15 per month ($9 if paid annually)

ActiveCampaign Cons

  • The landing page builder isn’t as good as GetResponse’s
  • No Webinar feature
  • No funnel feature

What ActiveCampaign Is Particularly Good At

ActiveCampaign is particularly good at giving its customers a sales system that lets them convert their leads into sales.

Using ActiveCampaign, you are equipped with some excellent features like the comprehensive CRM, powerful automation sequences, and SMS messaging to help you make more sales.

I think that these little tweaks and features can work wonders for the right type of businesses, mainly when used in combination. If you feel that your business could use the unique set of tools ActiveCampaign offers, it may be worth giving the platform a shot.

ActiveCampaign Ease of Use

Compared to GetResponse, I must say that ActiveCampaign is a little harder to use. The email creation process is fairly similar, but I find that GetResponse’s dashboard just looks a lot cleaner and is a lot easier to keep an overview of.

Plus, with ActiveCampaign, you need to integrate with a lot more software as it doesn’t have webinars or sales funnels. This can be quite confusing, especially if you have to connect the software pieces through API or Zapier.

However, ActiveCampaign also has a visual automation builder that is easy to use. It works the same way GetResponse’s builder does through drag and drop.

The CRM feature also has quite a learning curve, but this is due to the number of things it does.

Overall, ActiveCampaign is fairly easy to use, but compared to GetResponse, it loses out.

ActiveCampaign Deliverability Rates

ActiveCampaign used to be known for its good deliverability rates, at least in most Facebook communities. However, the recent study where GetResponse scored 86%, ActiveCampaign only scores 73%. That’s not a huge difference, but it is notable, to say the least.

Before this test, ActiveCampaign scored at least 90% in the previous ones, which shows why this result is a little strange. Still, the study is considered to be pretty reliable.

However, as we mentioned earlier in the GetResponse section, as long as you follow the best practices, you shouldn’t run into any issues. Plus, their support team is also happy to offer advice on getting your emails delivered.

Overall though, GetResponse surprisingly also wins the deliverability battle. The reason I chose GetResponse as the winner is because they published their overall deliverability rate, and in a 3rd party study, it also outperforms ActiveCampaign.

Who Is ActiveCampaign Good For

ActiveCampaign can work great for a wide range of businesses such as:

  • Ecommerce stores
  • Service-based businesses
  • Info-product vendors

It really depends on what the business needs.

I think ActiveCampaign is best suited for small and mid-sized businesses that could make great use of the CRM/Sales tools. For example, if a company needs to send out SMS reminders. Or if they have high-value leads and would like to automate tasks like contacting the sales team, then ActiveCampaign could be a great choice.

A more specific example of a business where tools like this could come in handy would be small and medium-sized marketing agencies.

However, if you own a business that doesn’t really need those features, I wouldn’t recommend ActiveCampaign.

Can You Use ActiveCampaign For Affiliate Marketing?

The short answer to that is no, not directly at least. But, there are ways around it if you have an affiliate marketing business.

ActiveCampaign says they do not like affiliate links being used in their emails, as affiliate links can often harm the deliverability.

However, they have also stated that their users can send affiliate links if they do not:

  • Send messages about make money online, getting rich, affiliate marketing, or work from from
  • Send emails that purely just focus on promoting affiliate links
  • Send emails that are only created to promote other businesses/products
  • Do not send emails related to getting rich, making money online, etc.

Even if you follow these guidelines, I would still be careful when using ActiveCampaign for affiliate marketing. You could get around this consistently by building a brand yourself that helps its users find the right product.

You could do this by:

  • Using landing pages as bridge pages between your emails and your affiliate offers
  • Creating eBooks or video courses that contain affiliate links, so your emails send users to those instead
  • Creating a blog post or YouTube video containing affiliate links, which can also be used as a bridge page

I personally think that GetResponse is better suited for affiliate marketing anyway. However, I wanted to give you a guideline for using ActiveCampaign if you still wanted to use it as an affiliate.

GetResponse vs ActiveCampaign – Pricing

So far, I’ve looked at the key differences between GetResponse and ActiveCampaign are. Now let’s take a look at what costs they come at.

GetResponse Cost

Below, I’ve explained each GetResponse pricing plan and how much it costs at 1,000 subscribers. If you need more contacts, just head over to the official GetResponse pricing table here and take a look.

If you pay monthly, there are annual discounts available too; 30% for 12-months, and 40% for 24 months.

GetResponse Basic ($15 Per Month)

This plan includes:

  • Email marketing basic features (Newsletters, email creators)
  • Autoresponders (Again, this is GetResponse’s name for non-behavior automations)
  • Unlimited automation templates
  • Unlimited lead funnels
  • 1 Sales Funnel
  • Chats
  • 1,000 subscribers (need more subs, click here)

I think this plan is pretty solid for beginners. You won’t find many $15 plans that offer more value than this one, as it also has email marketing, landing pages, and funnels included.

GetResponse Plus ($49 per month)

GetResponse Plus has everything mentioned in basic and:

  • Automation builder with 5 sequences
  • Contact scoring and tagging
  • 5 Sales funnels
  • 3 Sub-users/partners
  • Webinars with up to 100 attendees
  • 5 webinar funnels
  • 1,000 subscribers (need more subs, click here)

GetResponse Professional ($99 Per Month)

  • Unlimited automation workflows and builder
  • Push notifications
  • Paid webinars
  • Up to 300 Webinar attendees
  • Unlimited sales funnels
  • Unlimited webinar funnels
  • 5 sub-users/partners
  • On-demand/pre-recorded webinars
  • 1,000 subscribers (need more subs, click here)

I think this is the plan that will suit most businesses. It has everything you need to create a powerful marketing system that converts visitors into sales. There aren’t many limits on it either, which is pretty nice too.

GetResponse Max (Custom)

Lastly, there is the GetResponse Max plan, which has everything in professional plus:

  • Transactional emails (available as an add-on)
  • Dedicated support
  • Dedicated IP address
  • Single sign-on (SSO)
  • Webinars (max 500 attendees)
  • Email marketing campaign consulting
  • Microsoft Dynamics integration
  • Deliverability consulting
  • 1,000 subscribers (need more subs, click here)

This plan is, of course, the custom/enterprise plan, so if you’d like more info on that, you can get in contact with GetResponse here.

ActiveCampaign Cost

The prices below are for 500 subscribers, which is what ActiveCampaign’s plans start at. There are also discounts of around 20% if you choose to pay annually.

I find that ActiveCampaign’s pricing plans are quite expensive compared to GetResponse unless you truly need all the features they offer.

ActiveCampaign Lite ($15 per month)

  • Email marketing automation
  • Email marketing tools (Newsletters, Creator, etc.)
  • Forms
  • Segmentation
  • The site and Event tracking
  • Reporting
  • Up to 3 Users
  • Mobile CRM and Marketing Access
  • APIs, Webhooks, and Integrations

What I like about this plan is that it has behavior-based automation workflows. Overall, it’s a solid plan, although it doesn’t quite compare to the tools that GetReponse offers.

ActiveCampaign Plus ($70 Per Month)

ActiveCampain’s next plan up is lite, and it comes with everything in Lite+ plus:

  • Landing pages
  • Custom Facebook Audiences
  • Scoring
  • Automations Map
  • Conditional Content
  • Advanced Reporting
  • Advanced CRM
  • Salesforce integrations
  • SMS follow-up

ActiveCampaign Professional ($159 Per Month)

Everything in plus and:

  • Website personalization
  • Predictive sending and content
  • Marketing attribution
  • Conversion reporting
  • Site Message
  • Win probability
  • Deal path reporting
  • Split automations
  • Personalized product experience
  • In-app messaging
  • 50 Users
  • 1:1 Onboarding
  • Strategy consulting
  • 3x 1:1 Training per month

ActiveCampaign Enterprise ($279 Per Month)

  • Custom Mailserver domain
  • Custom Domain
  • Free design services
  • Email design testing
  • Social Data enrichment
  • Custom reporting
  • Contact enrichment
  • Unlimited users
  • Dedicated account rep
  • Phone support
  • Customize your application URL
  • Custom branding within the application
  • HIPAA support
  • Single sign-on

Final Thoughts – GetResponse vs ActiveCampaign – Which Is Best?

As you have seen throughout this article, both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign have some excellent features.

ActiveCampaign has a better CRM and slightly more triggers for automation sequences. However, overall I am going to call GetResponse the winner.

This is because it simply offers many more significant features and even does so at a better price. It has a better landing page builder, a sales funnel feature, and a great webinar platform, which combined significantly outweigh the few benefits of ActiveCamapaign for the majority of businesses.

With ActiveCampaign, you’ll need to spend additional money on all of these tools that GetResponse has built-in.

Plus, GetResponse has also been around longer, so it has a better track record and has built up more trust.

If you would like to try GetResponse, you can click the button below to get access to a 30-day free trial (NO Credit Card Required).

GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels: The Funnel Builder Showdown

GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels - people in a business meeting

If you have been thinking about purchasing a funnel builder, you may have come across the popular solution ClickFunnels.

The problem with ClickFunnels though, is that it can get pretty expensive and it also doesn’t have video hosting, which can be quite annoying when building membership sites, or if you need a place to host your video sales letters (VSL).

That’s why today, I’m going to be comparing GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels to help you find the solution that is suited best to your business.

Something that did catch my eye about GrooveFunnels is that they do also offer a free plan, which is quite rare for a funnel builder. We’ll talk more about this later on though.

What Is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels is the most popular funnel building software on the market.

It was founded by Russell Brunson in 2014 and has since then grown a massive community of marketers, small business owners, and entrepreneurs.

It was also one of the first funnel builders to be somewhat of an “all-in-one” platform that also lets you:

  • Manage your affiliates
  • Build membership sites
  • Host webinars
  • Build checkouts
  • Send emails

What Is GrooveFunnels?

GrooveFunnels is an all-in-one business and marketing software suite that has been created by by the company GrooveDigital.

The company GrooveDigital was not founded until 2018, but GrooveFunnels itself was only released in April 2020 in beta. It officially launched on October 6th 2020.

At this point in time most important features are already live for you to use, meaning it does more than enough to help you build an online business.

Once the software is fully developed, it will have by far the biggest selection of features.

The founding members of Groove are:

  • Mike Filsaime
  • John Cornetta
  • Matt Serralta
  • Matt Naus
GrooveFunnels Founders

If you want the full, deep-dive on all of Groove’s features then I recommend you check out my GrooveFunnels review here.

GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Similarities

Other than the name, there are also several other similarities between GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels.

Some of these include:

  • Ease of use
  • Ready-to-use funnel templates
  • Membership sites
  • Affiliate management tool
  • Email autoresponder feature
  • Learning curve
  • Share funnels
  • Drag & drop builder
  • Shopping cart feature
  • Upsell/downsell pages
  • A/B testing
  • Affiliate program
  • Community
  • Customer service

Ease of Use

Although there is, of course, a learning curve with both platforms, they’re both actually quite easy to use, even for non-tech-savvy folks.

They have a nice dashboard that lets you access all features with ease.

Both platforms do not require any coding or tech knowledge, and there is also no need to worry if you don’t have any experience with building funnels or websites.

Ready-to-use Funnel Templates

Another similarity between GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels is that they both come with ready-to-use funnel templates.

These templates are ready to use, you only have to plug-in your product and copy, then you’re good to go.

Both platforms have templates for all different kinds of funnels, although it does look like ClickFunnels has a few more. This is to be expected, as it has been around for a lot longer, meaning they have built more templates.

Still, both ClickFunnels and Groove have templates that are:

  • Ready-to-use
  • High-converting
  • Easy-to-edit

Membership Sites

Both platforms can both be used to build membership sites.

Both membership site builders have:

  • Drip-feed content
  • Multiple access levels
  • Templates for landing pages & membership area

Affiliate Management Tool

Both also come with an affiliate management tool.

This means you will be able to recruit and manage affiliates directly from the dashboard on each platform. You can set up custom commissions, links and have a closed or open affiliate program with both of these platforms.

Email Autoresponder Feature

Another similarity is that both ClickFunnels and GrooveFunnels have an autoresponder feature.

GrooveMail, the autoresponder feature inside of GrooveFunnels is ready to use, but it is not fully developed yet. However, it’s worth noting that Mike Filsaime and John Cornetta are planning to make GrooveMail as advanced as ActiveCampaign and GetResponse once it’s fully developed.

ClickFunnels’ follow-up funnels are fully developed but don’t quite have as many automation triggers as for example, ActiveCampaign.

That being said, the follow-up funnels are still more than enough to build effective email marketing campaigns.

You can also integrate both ClickFunnels and the new-comer, GrooveFunnels with any other email marketing software if you needed to.

Learning Curve

Despite both platforms being easy to use, they do, of course, also have a bit of a learning curve, which is to be expected with advanced software apps like these.

This is because it will naturally take you some time until you fully understand the platform’s features and how they work. It’s not like a massive learning curve like you may know from other SaaS tools, it’s more just getting used to the platforms.

Share Funnels

Something that is also quite cool about both of these platforms is the ability to create share funnels.

Using a unique link (or code for GrooveFunnels) you can share your entire funnel with another user in minutes.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s a membership site, a squeeze page, or your sales page, it can easily be shared with another user of the platform.

Drag & Drop Page Builder

GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels also have an easy-to-use drag and drop page builder.

Both page builders work similarly by letting you drag and drop your sections and elements to build your landing pages and funnels.

Combined with the beautiful templates that we spoke about earlier, GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels make it easy to build high-converting funnels.

Shopping Cart Feature

Another feature that is similar inside both of these software apps is the shopping cart feature.

Both platforms allow you to easily build high-converting checkouts that you can use with your sales pages.

You can also add cool features like order bumps into your cart pages on both platforms.

Upsell & Downsell Pages

Upsell and downsell pages are essential if you want to make the most out of every sale.

Both platforms let you build upsell and downsell pages that can even process purchases with just one-click if the payment information is stored (i.e they have made a purchase before).

A/B Testing

Another similarity between the two platforms is the full A/B testing functionality to help you find the best converting version of your pages.

This means there will be no need for split-testing your pages manually and trying to figure out which one converts best.

ClickFunnels and GrooveFunnels will track your results and help you determine a winner so that you don’t have to.

Affiliate Program

GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels also have pretty solid affiliate programs.

They are both free to join and give you the ability to promote their platforms to earn commissions.

On both affiliate programs, the commission rates vary from 20-40% depending on which tier and plan you are on.

One way the two affiliate programs vary though is that ClickFunnels also has a wide range of other products that you can promote, for example, Russel Brunson’s books and courses. I can tell you from experience, they convert very well.

GrooveFunnels, on the other hand, is still new and so, at the moment you can only promote this all-in-one software suite via the Groove affiliate program.

Community

GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels have the two biggest communities in the funnel building industry, as they both have over 100,000 members.

Both platforms have Facebook groups where you can network and get any help if you need some. ClickFunnels does have the upper hand in terms of group members as they have 253,000 vs GrooveFunnels’ 101,000.

That being said, GrooveFunnels has done pretty well when you consider that it’s only just launching.

Customer Service

Last but not least, they are also similar in terms of customer service.

They both provide:

  • Ticketing support
  • Chat support
  • Email support

One thing to note though is that ClickFunnels only provides “priority support” on the $297 per month plan. otherwise, you’ll have to contend with ticketed support.

From my experience, they always get back to you and are very helpful. They sometimes even record an over the shoulder video to show you how to do certain tasks. However, you’ll usually need to wait for several hours for them to get back to you each time.

If you are on the two comma club x plan at $2,497 you also get access to the VIP phone support.

GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Differences

Now that we have taken a look at the similarities between ClickFunnels and GrooveFunnels, let’s take a look at the differences between them.

What ClickFunnels Has That GrooveFunnels Does Not Have

Here are some of the advantages that ClickFunnels has over the new-comer.

FunnelFlix

The first part of ClickFunnels, which isn’t available in GrooveFunnels, is FunnelFlix.

FunnelFlix is a giant selection of courses and training created by Russel Brunson and the ClickFunnels team to help members succeed with funnels.

If you are on the ClickFunnels platinum plan, you will also get access to the platinum section of FunnelFlix.

It doesn’t only have educational material on funnels, but also on copywriting, marketing, and traffic.

The platinum section also includes recordings of events that had ticket prices of up to $25,000, so to get them included with your account is pretty sweet.

FunnelFridays

Something else that is also exclusive to ClickFunnels is the Funnel Fridays series.

Every Friday, they host a show where they let you watch over their shoulders while they build a high-converting sales funnel.

Attending these streams can be extremely helpful, especially when you combine this with Funnel Scripts or FunnelFlix.

The cool thing about FunnelFridays is also that every week they create a different type of funnel.

So, no matter whether you’re looking to build a membership funnel, lead funnel or whatever type of funnel you want, one of the series will walk you through it.

Funnel Hackathon

Last but not least, also only available in ClickFunnels is the Funnel Hackathon.

This is a weekly coaching program, where you and other users can build your funnels from start to finish.

There will be a coach who will guide you through the entire process, and help you with the parts of your funnel that need improving.

The Funnel Hackathon is only available in ClickFunnels’ $297 per month platinum plan.

What GrooveFunnels Has That ClickFunnels Does Not Have

GrooveFunnels clearly aims to set a new standard in terms of features in the funnel-building market. Below, you can see all the things it has to offer which ClickFunnels doesn’t.

If you need most of them, then that’s definitely a reason to consider GrooveFunnels over ClickFunnels.

A Free-Forever Plan

First of all, it has a free forever plan.

If you join GrooveFunnels now, you can get the core features (GroovePages + GrooveSell) for completely free. You can connect custom domains, build pages, and sell your products.

ClickFunnels on the other hand doesn’t have a free plan, so that is something only available in GrooveFunnels.

GrooveVideo

Another quite big feature only available in GrooveFunnels is video hosting.

Videos that you use in your membership sites or on your sales pages will need to be hosted somewhere other than YouTube.

Normally, you would need a video hosting platform like Wistia or Vimeo for this, but GrooveFunnels has this built-in, while ClickFunnels doesn’t.

This means, if you use ClickFunnels you will need to use an external service that can often cost $99 per month.

GrooveCalendar

GrooveCalendar is a calendar feature as the name suggests.

This feature helps you book appointments and manage your time. If you’re a service-based business or offer consultations, then you might use something like Calendly already.

But, GrooveFunnels has it built it, meaning you would save additional subscription costs.

If you do need a calendar app, then this could be another reason why Groove might be a better fit for you.

GrooveDesk

GrooveDesk is a helpdesk feature which is also directly built into GrooveFunnels.

ClickFunnels doesn’t have anything like this, meaning you’ll have to get another external tool for this purpose as well.

GrooveBlog

GrooveBlog is the blogging feature inside of GrooveFunnels.

Although, it’s still in development as of right now, the plans they have for this feature are pretty big.

In 2021, there will be a plugin store/marketplace where 3rd party developers can contribute new plugins making it an open-source platform similar to WordPress.

This is one of the new features that I am extremely excited about, as I enjoy both blogging and building sales funnels myself!

And, up until now, there hasn’t been a funnel builder which has managed to combine the two, so I’ve always had to continue using WordPress when creating blogs.

Faster Load Times

The pages you build inside of GrooveFunnels will also load much quicker than anything built in ClickFunnels.

If your pages load faster, they will also convert better and therefore make you more money. Plus, they will also rank better in Google and other search engines.

Quiz Builder

GrooveQuiz is a feature that lets you quiz your audience. This can be a great way to engage your audience and it’s only available inside of GrooveFunnels.

That being said, you can build basic quizzes in ClickFunnels too by interlinking the buttons and pages, however, this is rather limited compared to what Groove has to offer.

Hosted Webinars

Another feature that isn’t available in ClickFunnels is the ability to host webinars.

GrooveWebinar lets you host both your regular webinars and your auto-webinars (or evergreen), while ClickFunnels doesn’t.

If you decide to use ClickFunnels you will also need an external hosting service to host your webinars which is quite annoying, as it’s another additional cost.

GrooveSurvey

GrooveSurvey is the survey builder inside of GrooveFunnels.

You can use this feature to get detailed information about your customers allowing you to make tweaks in your marketing or business in general to increase your sales.

ClickFunnels Drawbacks

Despite its popularity, ClickFunnels does have some drawbacks compared to GrooveFunnels. You may find that these limitations don’t really impact you, but that depends on your business.

If they are problems that affect your business, then you should consider using something like GrooveFunnels instead.

Limited Basic Plan

The first ClickFunnels drawback is how limited their basic plan is.

In their basic plan, you don’t get access to:

  • Priority support
  • Affiliate management
  • Follow-up funnels

Plus, it also has some annoying limits on the number of pages, funnels, and domains.

Despite these limitations, this plan does cost $97 per month which probably isn’t the best value for the money.

No Video Hosting

ClickFunnels also has no video hosting functionality meaning you will need something external like Vimeo or Wistia which will cost you at least $49 per month.

If you are hosting videos for an entire membership site, this will usually cost you at least $99 per month.

Pages Do Not Rank Well In Google

The pages built inside of ClickFunnels are quite slow and you have limited control over them.

If you’re looking to get traffic from search engines, then using ClickFunnels will not be your best bet. GrooveFunnels on the other hand has fast-loading pages meaning it’s better for SEO.

No Blog Feature

If you want to have a blog, there is no way of having it inside of ClickFunnels.

As mentioned earlier, this means you will need a separate blog on something like WordPress. And, it can also be quite tricky to get your ClickFunnels pages on the same domain as your WordPress pages.

You can integrate the two, but then ClickFunnels pages often load very slowly. Or, you can use a subdomain that isn’t as good for your SEO and can also cause a feeling of disconnect between your blog and funnels.

Affiliate Management Tracking Is Not Great

Another ClickFunnels drawback is the affiliate management tool. While the options you have managing your affiliates are alright, the tracking is limited.

More importantly, the tracking doesn’t seem very accurate.

ClickFunnels uses its own affiliate management software (BackPack) for their affiliate program. As a ClickFunnels affiliate myself, I have noticed that sometimes the tracking is off.

There is also quite a bit of talk in the ClickFunnels affiliate community that people have not been credited for some referrals, or they have noticed that they have been credited for a referral that has someone else’s tracking ID.

Fortunately, this doesn’t seem to happen often, but it does happen.

This is a shame, and I hope that ClickFunnels will fix this soon, because it is honestly a good product, and they have one of the best affiliate programs in the industry.

However, because of this, I would have concerns about using BackPack myself to promote my own products at the moment.

When it comes to using BackPack and tracking your affiliates, the information you get for each affiliate is:

  • Trials signed up
  • Earnings (Daily, weekly, monthly)
  • When they joined
  • Payment email

GrooveFunnels on the other hand gives you detailed analytics for every single affiliate.

For example, you can see how much traffic each affiliate is referring to you. Now, if one affiliate is sending thousands of visitors and none are converting, you can check the traffic quality.

If the affiliate is sending spammy or non-targeted traffic, you’ll probably want to remove them or at least warn them, as it can mess up your advertising pixels.

With ClickFunnels, you wouldn’t know if this is the case as you can’t see how many visitors are coming from each affiliate.

No Free Plan

Unlike GrooveFunnels, ClickFunnels doesn’t have a free plan.

This means if you want to use it, you’ll have to go straight onto the $97 per month plan. Of course, there is a free trial, but it’s not quite the same as a free-forever plan.

GrooveFunnels Drawbacks

Although GrooveFunnels has a much smaller quantity of drawbacks, no software is perfect. It also has its disadvantages and the main reason for them is that it’s still in the early stages.

If this is something that you can’t tolerate, then consider using the ClickFunnels 14-day free trial to see whether that is the best option for you.

Still In Beta

The first and probably biggest drawback is that it’s still in beta. A lot of the features inside of this software are still being developed, meaning you don’t have a finished product.

Additionally, you might not be sure that it even does what it promises to. However, given that it’s already a killer platform and has founders with a successful track record of creating SaaS tools, I think it’s almost certain that it will hold its promise.

The main part of this drawback is only in the short term, which is that it’s not fully developed yet.

Smaller Community (but, it’s still in the early stages)

GrooveFunnels has a smaller community than ClickFunnels. That is to be expected though, as it’s still in early stages.

In case you forgot, here are the sizes of the Facebook groups of both platforms:

  • ClickFunnels 253,000 members
  • GrooveFunnels 100,000 members

Given that GrooveFunnels is in such early stages, you can probably expect the size of their community to catch up in the following years.

Setting Up Custom Domains Is Slightly More Tricky

Another small drawback of GrooveFunnels is that setting up custom domains is slightly more tricky.

This isn’t a biggie and after setting them up once, you’ll get used to it. But, it can be annoying the first time setting up, as you have to go into the DNS settings of your domain.

GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Pricing

To help you find the best software for you, I’ve also explained the pricing in full below.

GrooveFunnels Pricing

GrooveFunnels has a free plan as I did mention throughout this article. But the paid plans are just as good value for money.

For example, the silver plan gives you almost an identical set of features as ClickFunnels’ $297 per month plan. The difference being you get video hosting instead of webinars.

At $199 per month, GrooveFunnels Gold is a pretty good deal too, as you also get access to GrooveBlog, GrooveDesk, and GrooveCalendar.

The platinum plan at $299 per month, gives you access to everything offering inside of Groove including the E-commerce platform GrooveKart.

The GrooveFunnels pricing list

Depending on when you are seeing this, there may still be a lifetime deal available for GroovePlatinum.

If the deal is available, you can get lifetime access to everything inside of GrooveFunnels for $1397. Considering this normally costs $299 per month, that is a crazy deal.

To check whether The lifetime deal is still available, just follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Join GrooveFunnels for free here (No credit card required)
  • Step 2: In your dashboard, hit “upgrade”
  • Step 3: Scroll through the page to see any available deals

This deal is meant to stop early October, but you can check whether it’s still available by following the instructions outlined above.

ClickFunnels Pricing

As mentioned earlier, ClickFunnels does not have a free plan and starts at $99 per month.

Below, you can see the pricing table with everything that comes in each plan.

ClickFunnels pricing list

Something to note though is that to get access to all features, training, and coaching, you have to be on the $297 per month plan.

Here is a list of features not available in the $97 per month plan:

  • Follow up funnels
  • Affiliate management tool
  • Hackathon coaching
  • Priority support
  • Additional training of FunnelFlix

Before I wrap up my GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels comparison, I wanted to show you this video of Groove’s CEO, Mile Filsaime, explaining the differences between Groove and ClickFunnels to a fellow marketing expert, Mike Long.

Of course, Mike is bias when talking about his own product, but I thought this video is helpful as he breaks the comparison down in a very clear way.

Final Thoughts – ClickFunnels Vs GrooveFunnels – Which Is Best?

As you have seen throughout this comparison, both pieces of software offer a solid funnel-building platform.

One of the key takeaways is that GrooveFunnels offers a free plan that has ClickFunnels’ core features which are the sales funnel builder, and the cart/sales platform. It also has a much larger quantity of features, so you might argue you get more value for your money with Groove.

However, ClickFunnels’ core offering is their funnel builder, and that’s where most of their development goes.

Because of this, and that GrooveFunnels is still in early stages, I would say that ClickFunnels wins in the funnel-building aspect.

Another aspect in which ClickFunnels wins is the educational material that they provide.

The selection of training inside of FunnelFlix is much larger than the material in GrooveFunnels’ GrooveDigital Academy. However, Mike Filsaime has said that this is also an area that will be under constant improvement, with more training courses added regularly.

Overall, I think it’s hard to pick out a winner, as they are both great for their own purposes.

ClickFunnels could be a good option for you if you’re looking for an easy-to-use funnel builder, you want to get access to their FunnelFlix training course library, and you want to plug into their large community.

GrooveFunnels could be a good option for you if you are looking for an all-in-one suite of online business tools with more features, as it can help you save thousands in annual subscription fees.

Kartra Review – Powerful Software or Just a Load of Hype?

A computer with Kartra stats

If you have been looking for a complete Kartra review that breaks down everything you need to know about the software, you’ve come to the right place. I’m going to give you a look inside what this software offers to help you choose whether it’s right for your business.

Let’s get started!

What Is Kartra?

Kartra is an all-in-one funnel and website builder that was launched in 2018 by Genesis Digital.

Genesis Digital was founded in 2013 and has also created several other successful software products for online businesses, such as WebinarJam and EverWebinar.

Interestingly, Mike Filsaime, who has now left the company, was heavily involved in the creation of Kartra. Kartra was also mentioned on Billy Gene’s podcast that Kartra aimed to be the “InfusionSoft killer”.

He went on to explain that they wanted to do this by offering a product that is more powerful and easier to use than Infusionsoft.

However, Kartra is also often compared to other funnel builders like ClickFunnels, Groove Funnels, etc. as its features and audience are similar.

If you want an exact comparison of Kartra versus GrooveFunnels then check out my detailed article here.

Since Kartra was launched in 2018, it has become extremely popular in the internet marketing community, with a Facebook group of over 22,000 members.

One of the reasons many users like it is the powerful automation features that are all hosted in one, convenient place. However, I’ll go into more detail on this soon.

Who Is Kartra For?

Kartra is best for:

  • Marketers and businesses selling digital or physical products/services looking for an all-in-one solution (that don’t need a blogging feature)
  • Agencies that build websites and marketing campaigns for clients
  • Affiliates that want to build funnels to promote Kartra, or other products to earn commissions

Kartra can also be used for eCommerce businesses that sell physical products. However, from what I have seen, it can be quite hard to find good order fulfillment solutions if you were, for example, wanting to fulfill via dropshipping. However, if you get one sorted out, then there is no reason why you can’t use Kartra.

From what I have seen in the Facebook group, and the Kartra community in general, most users fall into one of the three categories above.

However, Kartra is not suited for anyone who wants to grow a blog. Although they have blogging templates, the pages don’t load fast enough, and you have limited SEO options.

If you are looking for an all-in-one funnel builder that has a better blogging feature, I suggest going for one of the following alternatives:

Recently, we explained all of these options in our best funnel builder article. If you are looking to find the right option for your business, make sure to check that article out.

That being said, Kartra also gives you the code to embed entire pages. So you can use WordPress and embed your Kartra pages. This might be useful for squeeze pages, but I have not yet, tested how well this works for SEO.

Things To Think About Before Purchasing Kartra

I also wanted to give you a few things to think about before purchasing Kartra:

  • Will my business need an SEO/blogging feature?
  • What features do I need to grow my business, and does Kartra have them?
  • How many resources will my business need, and which Kartra plan is best suited?
  • Will my current provider let me migrate my business to Kartra, and if yes, how?

Kartra Review: The Features and Benefits

As we already mentioned at the beginning of the article, Kartra aims to be an all-in-one software. This means it does have a nice number of features, which I have all broken down below.

Drag & Drop Page Builder & Templates

Similar to most of Kartra’s competitors, it also comes with a drag and drop page builder.

You select a template (or start from scratch), load up the page builder, and then edit the pages.

Compared to a lot of other page builders, Kartra’s is pretty decent. It does have the occasional lag/freeze, but it’s very rare. Apart from that, it’s solid, as you have a good selection of elements and can build almost any website type.

The templates also look nice and modern. I was especially impressed by the full-navigation websites, as many funnel builders don’t put a lot of effort into these. Plus, Kartra also has templates for every step of your funnel, whether that’s your squeeze page, landing page registration, or course sign up page.

It even has some templates for your blog pages. Although, as mentioned at the beginning of the article, I wouldn’t recommend Kartra if you are looking to grow a blog. This is due to the pages not being the fastest and not having the full SEO flexibility.

Still, overall I think Kartra’s page builder is pretty solid. It’s easy to use and lets you build pretty much any type of page that you can imagine. Plus, you can also embed your Kartra pages anywhere you’d like using the code they provide you with.

Behavior-Adaptive-Marketing Technology

Another cool thing about Kartra is that it has a behavior-adaptive-marketing technology built-in. This means you can adapt your pages to the behavior of your visitors.

Using this feature, you can send a more targeted message to your visitors and increase your conversions.

Kartra Checkouts

The next feature inside of Kartra is its checkouts.

Kartra allows you to build checkouts or use one of their templates. Once you’ve created the checkout, you can then embed it into one of your Kartra pages.

The checkout feature is pretty advanced, as it has order bumps, one-click upsells and down sells. This is great, as you won’t need to use an external checkout tool like SamCart, and you’ll have what you need to make the most out of every sale.

I also like the style of checkout templates that they have, as they should suit most businesses.

Video Hosting

One complaint that you hear with many membership site and funnel builders is that they don’t have video hosting. That means that on those other platforms you then need to pay for external video hosting with a company like Vimeo or Wistia, which can get expensive.

Kartra comes with built-in video hosting with a lot of memory to use on most plans.

This feature is also pretty decent, as it allows you to add CTAs and headlines to your videos to help you convert viewers.

You can add your videos to any page within Kartra, and that also includes your membership sites, which is awesome. So, you won’t have to spend any additional money on getting a video hosting software like Wistia or Vimeo.

Kartra video hosting feature

Email Marketing

Kartra’s email marketing tool, Kartra mail, was something that I was very impressed by.

You can send out newsletters or build automation sequences.

Inside of the automation sequences, you can choose from many triggers, which allows you to send more targeted emails. It’s also pretty nice that everything is built into the Kartra system, meaning the email marketing feature can easily access and use data from your sales funnels, membership sites, helpdesks, or even videos.

For example, if a lead watches the entire sales video but doesn’t buy, you can tag them and start an automation campaign based on that to follow up with them. You can also do the same if they have a support ticket open, are an active affiliate, have been refunded, and various other triggers.

That’s pretty cool, as it allows you to send more targeted emails, which will ultimately increase your conversions.

The templates inside of Kartra Mail are also gorgeous. You just need to insert them, and then they can easily be edited. Or, you can use plain text emails, if you prefer as well.

Something that I really like about Kartra is the pre-built emails, which are part of the campaigns and sales funnels, but I’ll get into those next.

Kartra mail feature

Sales Funnels & Campaigns

From all of the features mentioned in this Kartra review, this is probably my favorite one. You’ll see why in just a moment.

Kartra’s sales funnel approach helps you build out the entire customer journey, from the moment they first come across your website to the point where they’re a customer. This also includes your emails, membership sites, etc., instead of just your pages.

You can save all of the assets you create in Kartra under a campaign to help you keep an overview of all your assets. However, that isn’t yet what makes it unique, but these two points below are.

1. Share Entire Campaigns, Not Just Pages

You’ve probably heard of or even used ClickFunnels’ share funnel feature. Kartra takes this one step further and lets you share entire campaigns with not only your pages but also your emails, membership sites, helpdesks, videos … You get the point, everything.

This means if you’re creating a campaign for a client who has Kartra, you can share your campaigns with a click of a button. And, if you are skilled in building campaigns, this makes selling them a lot easier.

You can also create mini-campaigns, use them as a lead magnet, or sell them to your audience.

There’s an unbelievable number of opportunities, thanks to this feature. And that’s not even the best part of Kartra’s funnels and campaigns.

2. Done-For-You Campaigns From Frank Kern & Many Others

Creating your entire campaign requires an enormous amount of effort. There are the pages, the copy, the automation sequences, the membership sites, and a whole load of other assets that you’ll have to create from scratch.

Well, with Karta, you don’t have to create them from scratch.

In fact, you get access to campaigns built by industry-leading experts like Frank Kern. All you need to do is go into your Kartra account and head over to campaigns, and you’ll find endless campaigns for all types of businesses ranging from info-product vendors to consultants.

For example, many of these templates, such as the book funnel and the famous 4-day cash machine, are built by Frank Kern. Not only are these the sales funnel steps, but they also have pre-written sales copy that you just need to edit to tailor towards your business.

For example, it will say “(Insert Benefit 1),” and you just need to make those little changes while also leveraging copy that has been proven to work.

I don’t know about you but I think that’s pretty awesome!

There are also endless additional campaigns for you to use created by Genesis Digital and some other internet marketing experts.

Additionally, there is also a marketplace where you can purchase more from other Kartra users or sell your own.

Why This Is Great

This set of features helps all users, no matter what their experience level is. Beginners can get started with done-for-you campaigns, while advanced users can sell their own.

There are templates for consultants, course creators, agencies, and various other businesses. Plus, if you have any type of marketing-related business like an agency, or that’s what your audience is interested in, this opens up many opportunities.

You can also use the Facebook group to discuss your ideas, find partners, etc. which makes this even better.

Leads System/CRM

Kartra has a leads system that helps you segment your customers automatically to target your marketing messages much better.

This is comparable to a CRM, as Kartra’s leads system automatically scores and tracks your customers to help you make better marketing choices. This, combined with the advanced analytics (which we’ll get into later on), makes it a lot easier to figure out what’s working and what your next steps are.

I’m a big fan of this because, if we’re honest, we’ve all had some marketing campaigns where we didn’t really have an overview of what’s happening. And, because this lead system is in the same place as your pages, email automations, membership sites, etc., it can give you a true picture of what’s happening.

Also, if you have high-ticket clients or are looking to in the future, this will be of huge benefit to you. Just by clicking on a lead’s name, you’ll be able to see their value to your business, their tags, and various other information.

Take a look at what I mean below. You can also click on the bar’s features at the top to get all the needed information from that particular feature.

Kartra analytics

Affiliate Marketing/Management & Marketplace

Kartra also comes with a powerful affiliate management tool that lets you recruit affiliates for your products.

The affiliate reporting inside of Kartra is super comprehensive for both the vendor and the affiliate.

Plus, the amount of options you have when creating your affiliate offer is almost insane.

Here are some of the things I’m talking about:

  • Multiple Commission tiers (i.e., create tier 2 affiliate programs/pay affiliates for finding affiliates)
  • Open and closed affiliate programs (Control who can become an affiliate)
  • Pay affiliates instantly with PayPal
  • Joint venture brokers
  • Create CPA affiliate programs (for example, upon lead registration)
  • Recurring & Standard affiliate programs
  • Set payment milestone (i.e., affiliate has to earn at least X to get paid)
  • Fixed commission rate or % of the sale

This is also something that gives you many opportunities to grow your business, as you can create almost any type of affiliate program you want.

Affiliate Marketplace

Kartra also comes with an affiliate product marketplace that you can compare to ClickBank.  This is where vendors can upload their products with the affiliate program, and affiliates can find them.

Meaning, if you have a product, you can upload it, and if the affiliate offer is good, you’re likely going to get affiliates applying to promote it.

Or, if you are looking to become an affiliate yourself, you’ll have access to a huge library of different types of affiliate offers that you can promote.

This is another feature that I think will be very helpful to many users.

Membership Sites

Throughout this article, I’ve already mentioned a couple of times that Kartra has membership sites. However, I still want to break down what exactly Kartra’s membership site builder has to offer.

Kartra’s membership site builder comes with all the features you would expect from a normal membership site builder, such as:

  • Drip Feed Content (with scheduling)
  • Multi-site portals
  • Advanced Member management
  • Comments
  • Details analytics (Average retention, average progression, subscription rates & more)
  • Multiple membership tiers

Kartra’s membership sites are also straightforward to build, as all you need to do is select a template, then use the drag & drop builder to create it. The only complaint I would have with this feature is that the templates look a little boring.

Yes, you can completely remove the Kartra branding and add your own, but they are very basic. However, there’s nothing wrong with simplicity, but that’s just the way I personally feel about the templates.

Of course, this doesn’t mean you can’t build a high-quality membership site with Kartra. And, it still has more than enough features to give your students an amazing learning experience.

Helpdesk Portal

Kartra has a built-in helpdesk tool that will allow you to connect a helpdesk to all of your pages, membership sites, etc.

This will allow you to provide ticketing support and email support to your customers. Again, the cool thing about this is that you don’t have to switch between two or three software pieces to access the data you need to provide support.

Since your sales platform and CRM are also inside Kartra, you can instantly access any information you need.

Analytics

Kartra also has detailed analytics for every feature. That includes your emails, pages, membership sites, affiliates, and everything else inside Kartra.

I also like how visual the analytics are, making it really easy for you to keep an overview. However, what I was very impressed by, were the metrics that Kartra provides you with.

Some of these include:

  • ROI of Campaign
  • Average Lead Value
  • Retention (For membership sites)

And many more, these metrics are beneficial in deciding what’s right for your business.

For example, once you know your average lead value, you can, of course, focus on scaling your campaigns. If you know your lead value is $7, you can recruit affiliates and pay them $1-3 per email sign up. Plus, you can also run paid ads and control the cost, so you don’t spend more than $1-3 per lead.

Overall, I think that Kartra’s analytics are one of its strong points.

Kartra Agency

Kartra Agency is a feature available on all plans but Kartra starter, but we’ll talk more on pricing later on.

This feature, as the name suggests, is made specifically for agencies.

It allows you to manage separate Kartra accounts using your master login, and it also has some unique features:

  • See all your clients’ data from your account
  • Generate personalized reports for your metrics
  • Get discounted Kartra accounts and sell them

If you want to set up clients with separate Kartra accounts, you can also get those for a discount and sell them for the standard price, plus your service fees.

Integrations & APIs

Kartra also has a list of native integrations. However, you get access to both the inbound and outbound API keys, so you should be able to integrate with all of the tools you need.

If you do want to take a look at the native integrations, here’s a list of those:

Payment processors:

  • Braintree
  • Stripe
  • PayPal
  • Authorize.Net

Kartra Pros and Cons

Okay, that was quite a hefty number of features. I did say this was going to be a detailed Kartra review, so I had to explain them all.

But to help you get a clearer overview of whether Kartra is right for you, I wrote a pros and cons list below.

Kartra Pros:

  • Great all-in-one system
  • Lead management system & CRM are amazing
  • You get access to funnel and copy templates from people like Frank Kern
  • You can create almost any type of affiliate program that you like
  • Gorgeous templates for your pages, emails, etc
  • Detailed Analytics makes it easier to decide correctly
  • Powerful automations make it easy to convert leads to customers
  • Checkouts with one-click order bumps/upsells/downsells allow you to make the most out of every sale.

Cons:

  • Not good for Blogging/SEO
  • Pages can load slow
  • It can be overwhelming at first due to the huge number of features

Kartra Pricing:

Now that we have seen what Kartra has to offer in terms of features and benefits let’s look at the price. Kartra has four main pricing plans and an enterprise plan.

Below, I’ve explained all of these plans in detail. I like Kartra’s pricing because all features (apart from Kartra Agency) are available on every plan. This is great, as I think it can be annoying when platforms advertise all their features, and then you have to be on the highest plans to get them all.

So, you’re only limited in terms of resources you use.

Kartra Starter Plan ($99 Per Month)

The Kartra starter plan is great for anybody just starting.

Here’s what resources you get in Kartra Starter:

  • Up to 2500 leads
  • 1 custom domain
  • 15,000 emails p/m
  • 50 GB Bandwidth
  • Host 100 pages
  • Host 50 videos
  • Sell 20 products
  • Build 2 membership sites
  • Add 1 additional team member
  • Connect 1 helpdesk

And of course, it does not come with Kartra Agency.

Also, if you are looking to build a membership site with this plan, I would warn you that you’re probably going to need to purchase more bandwidth. Hosting videos and having a lot of your customers play them takes up quite a lot.

However, Kartra lets you purchase more bandwidth, or if it makes sense for you, you can also go for the Silver plan.

Kartra Silver Plan ($199 Per Month)

The Kartra Silver plan has significantly fewer limits than the previous one and comes with Kartra agencies.

Here’s what resources you get with Kartra silver:

  • Up to 12,500 leads
  • 3 custom domains
  • Unlimited everything else
  • Kartra Agency

Kartra Gold Plan ($299 Per Month)

Kartra Gold gives you almost double the amount of all resources. And, of course, it also comes with Kartra Agency.

  • Up to 25,000 leads
  • 5 custom domains
  • Unlimited everything else
  • Kartra Agency

Kartra Platinum Plan ($499 Per Month)

The Kartra platinum plan is the highest standard plan. And, again, the resources have almost doubled from the Gold plan.

  • Up to 50,000 leads
  • 10 custom domains
  • Unlimited everything else
  • Kartra Agency

Kartra Enterprise plan (Custom)

Lastly, if you need an enterprise solution, you can contact the Kartra team and let them know. I can’t explain how this process works, as I’ve personally not done it. If your needs exceed the platinum plan’s limits, you can contact them through the pricing page here.

Final Thoughts:

That’s it! I hope you have enjoyed my Kartra review. If you are looking for an all-in-one platform with a powerful lead management system and strong sales tools, I recommend giving Kartra a try. They have a 14-day trial for $1, which you can access through the button below to see if it’s right for you.

3 Best Funnel Scripts Alternatives – Write Killer Copy Without Experience

Funnel Scripts alternative - a man writing on paper

When you’re trying to sell anything online, you need to get your product to convert well in order to make consistent sales and see a good ROI on your investment.

That’s where copywriting comes in.

Good copywriting can literally 10X your sales, if you get it right.

However, it’s a hard skill to master and can take a very long time to get good at. That’s why it can be so expensive to hire a professional copywriter to do it for you.

Fortunately, there are some other alternatives in the way of copywriting software programs.

One of the most popular copywriting software programs is Funnel Scripts by Jim Edwards and Russel Brunson. You may have already come across it if you are in the ClickFunnels community. You may have even used the Funnel Scripts free headline generator.

Funnel Scripts is a great piece of software, I use it myself. However, some people think that the Funnel Scripts price tag is a little high, which is the main reason they look for Funnel Scripts alternatives.

So, if you’re not sure if you should buy Funnel Scripts, here in this article, we’re going to take a look at the 3 best alternative options you can choose to get your copywriting done.

The Top 3 Funnel Scripts Alternatives For Great Copy

So, without further ado, here are what we believe are the 3 best choices if you don’t want to use Funnel Scripts for whatever reason.

ScriptDoll

Script Doll copywriting software

The first Funnel Scripts alternative is Scriptdoll.

Scriptdoll is a copywriting software that works based on the profile information of your target audience. It can create various types of sales letters and even email sequences automatically.

ScriptDoll comes with a library of templates for different campaigns that are also updated monthly.

Similarly to Funnel Scripts, this piece of software also aims to stop you from having to hire a copywriter. It does this by not only through helping you with things like word choice, but also by picking the pain points and getting the psychological sales message right.

It costs $99 per month but also has a trial option for $1.

What ScriptDoll Can Do

Here are some of the things that ScriptDoll does extremely well:

  • Create attention-grabbing Video sales letters
  • Create long-form sales letters
  • Create full email marketing campaigns

ScriptDoll Vs Funnel Scripts

The main difference between both of them is that Funnel Scripts has more options and extra scripts that you can create.

For example, you can also create short-form sales letters or copy for a particular type of funnel. Besides this, with Funnel Scripts, you can even go deeper and create copy for a specific part of a sales funnel, such as your OTO page or your order bump.

In general, Funnel Scripts is tailored a little towards ClickFunnels users. This means if you are using ClickFunnels, it would make sense to go for Funnel Scripts as it will feel more suited. Having said that, you don’t need to be a ClickFunnels customer to get loads out of FS.

Other than that ScriptDoll is a pretty nice software and I also like the scripts that they generate. They look professional and you’ll usually only need to do minimal editing. Of course, you are always going to have to make minimal edits, but that’s to be expected with anything that is AI-generated.

Sometimes with software like this, you get scripts that don’t make sense, but ScriptDoll offers all the main kinds of scripts that you will want to use, except for ad copy.

ScriptDoll also offers a $1 trial, so you can test it out first to see whether you like it.

Check Out ScriptDolls Trial!

Automatic Script

Automatic Script copy generator

Automatic Script is also another great Funnel Scripts alternative. The promise of both products is pretty much the same. It’s that you’ll never have to write the copy of your sales letters, VSL Scripts, Webinar slides, or Ad copy yourself, and you won’t need to spend thousands hiring a professional.

Interestingly, Automatic Script also includes ad copy scripts, which isn’t the case with ScriptDoll.

In my opinion, Automatic Scripts is more directly comparable to Funnel Scripts because you also get templates for specific parts of your funnel such as your CTA’s, opt-in pages, and more.

Again, this is pretty useful as it means that you can hone in much more closely on your copywriting for higher conversion potential.

Automatic Script also has affordable pricing plans, one being $39 per month and the other $69 monthly. The difference between the two plans is how many scripts per month you get of each type.

What ScriptDoll Can Do

ScriptDoll can create copy for:

  • Sales Letters
  • Email Sequences
  • Single Emails
  • Facebook Ads
  • Facebook CTA’s
  • Google Ads
  • Headlines
  • Info products
  • Opt-in pages
  • Order bumps
  • Phone Scripts
  • CTA’s
  • Testimonials
  • Upsells
  • Video Scripts
  • Webinar Outline
  • Webinar Promotion

AutomaticScripts Vs Funnel Scripts

Other than Funnel Scripts being tailored towards ClickFunnels, there are a few other differences as well.

The main one being that, AutomaticScripts has more options such as for Facebook ads and even Testimonials.

One big difference is that AutomaticScripts is priced on a monthly subscription model vs Funnel Scripts’ one-time payment of $797 for lifetime access.

Another difference between the two pieces of copywriting software is that AutomaticScripts’ dashboard is a little less overwhelming and easier to use.

Other than those few differences, the offering of these two SaaS solutions is very similar. Both pieces of software will help you generate high-converting copy easily and quickly.

ScriptEngage

Script Engage copy software

Last but not least, we also have ScriptEngage, which is another great Funnel Scripts alternative.

Similar to AutomaticScripts, ScriptEngage also has an affordable payment plan starting at just $39 per month or $297 per year.

Something unique about ScriptEngage is that it creates copy based on the niche, which is pretty niche. This may also help to increase your conversions further by incorporating wording and jargon that is common to the niche. This is, of course, if ScriptEngage also covers the niche you’re in, so it’s a good idea to check that before signing up.

ScriptEngage only covers 12 niches at the moment, which is quite limited. If you’re in a less popular niche then you may want to consider one of the other options in this article. Other than that, it has a great number of script options and even monthly training webinars, similar to Funnel Scripts.

What ScriptEngage Can Do

ScriptEngage can create scripts for your:

  • Lead gen copy
  • Product sales pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsell pages
  • Order form bumps
  • VSL scripts
  • Email newsletters
  • Thank you pages
  • Download pages
  • Ad copy
  • Order-form pages

Script Engage Vs Funnel Scripts

Script Engage is another good alternative to Funnel Scripts, the main difference here is in the pricing. ScriptEngage comes at a monthly cost of $39 per month, while Funnel Scripts come at the $797 one time price for unlimited access.

They both come with great scripts for all parts of your funnel as I listed above, so both these programs are fairly comprehensive.

One thing that Script Engage has which Funnel Scripts doesn’t is the ability to produce copy for lead gen campaigns. This could be for LinkedIn, outreach emails, or any other type of lead gen, which is a useful feature if lead generation is your business model.

I think that the only reason that Funnel Scripts doesn’t also have this feature is that Jim Edwards the copywriter and the guy behind FS does not operate a lead-gen model in his business. He mostly writes copy for physical and digital products, and also services. You can find out more about Jim Edwards’s copywriting here.

Other than that, the only significant difference is that Script Engage also works based on niches. This means it may give you better results if ScriptEngage covers the niche that you’re working in as the copy can be tailored towards your specific audience.

One important thing to bear in mind when comparing Script Engage vs Funnel Scripts is, if your niche isn’t available, it probably wouldn’t be suited. It’s also a little easier to use than Funnel Scripts, as the dashboard isn’t quite as overwhelming.

If you would like to check out Script Engage yourself you can do so with the link below.

Final Thoughts

That’s it! I hope you have enjoyed our list of 3 best Funnel Scripts alternatives.

If you’re unsure which one to pick, you can always try ScriptDoll first as it offers a trial for just $1.

Additionally, I would recommend going with the solution that has the options you need, and at the best price. For example, if you need lead gen scripts go for ScriptEngage. If you need scripts tailored specifically to some ClickFunnels products like the OFA Challenge then go for Funnel Scripts.

All these solutions are actually pretty good, which is why they are on this list. You can’t really go wrong with any of them, in my opinion.

GrooveFunnels Review – Is It Worth Your Time?

My GrooveFunnels Review

In the world of funnel builders, GrooveFunnels is the new kid on the block.

Promising to be an all-in-one business and marketing suite capable of handling the work-load of any online business, GrooveFunnels has set itself a lot to live up to.

Fortunately, there is an impressive team of well-known and highly successful marketers and entrepreneurs behind the platform, led by the CEO, Mike Filsame.

If you haven’t heard of Mike, he’s the guy behind other massively successful software brands, including, WebinarJam, EverWebinar and Kartra.

If Mike and his team can make GrooveFunnels as good or better than the above mentioned brands, then Groove is set to be one of the new market leaders.

Bear in mind, GrooveFunnels is still in Beta and does not officially launch until October 2020. But, you can get in now on either the free Base account or get their GrooveFunnels lifetime deal, for a very limited time.

Just note that if you want to upgrade and get the Platinum account on the lifetime deal then you will first need to sign up for a free account and then upgrade from within your dashboard.

In this article, I’m gonna do a deep-dive on this new funnel building software extravaganza to give you the full picture of what it can do.

Things To Consider Before Buying a Funnel Builder

Before we dive into this GrooveFunnels review, I wanted to share a few key points that are important to look for before you buy a funnel builder.

  • Features

The first and most important thing to consider is, of course, the features.

You’re purchasing the funnel builder to essentially build your business, meaning it should at least meet your needs.

You should think about this, as the capability of the software you’re going to be using has a direct impact on your revenue.

Will the features help you to achieve your goals more easily?

Will the features help you to scale your business?

Do the features warrant the price?

  • Community

Something less obvious that I recommend you consider when is the community behind it. Believe it or not, this is quite important. Why?

First of all, you can always get help from members of the community. Secondly, it can open up networking opportunities with other business owners.

Even if networking isn’t something you’re interested in, it wouldn’t hurt having a group of fellow users available to you.

  • Pricing

Lastly, you also want to look at the pricing. Funnel builders can be costly, so make sure to choose one that is in your budget.

That being said, the price shouldn’t be your primary concern. If you’ve chosen a good funnel builder then the features should help you generate more revenue. If this is the case, then there isn’t any reason not to pay a little more compared to some cheaper alternatives.

What Is GrooveFunnels?

What is GrooveFunnels? An infographic explaining

GrooveFunnels is a relatively new funnel builder that is still evolving, but it is doing so at an incredibly fast rate.

Just like some of its competitors, GrooveFunnels aims to be an all-in-one marketing platform. Groove does this by taking a range of different SaaS tools that most businesses need, and combining them into one, convenient dashboard.

This is quite similar to the promise that ClickFunnels makes, but as you’ll see later on, GrooveFunnels has considerably more features.

What’s also intriguing about GrooveFunnels that most of the other funnel builders do not have, is a free plan.

Most of Groove’s competitors, including ClickFunnels, start their pricing around $97 per month.

Having a free plan is a great way for beginners to start using the software. It also gives people the chance to try it out to the point where they can actually get results with it, and not be limited by a trial period deadline.

I think this is one of the main reasons why GrooveFunnels has become the fastest-growing funnel building platform.

If you want to put this in perspective, Groove opened the doors on their Beta version in April 2020. In just 6 months they already have over 75,000 members, and they are officially due to launch in October 2020.

This is even more impressive when you realize that one of the market leaders, ClickFunnels, first launched in 2014, and they now currently have around 120,000 users.

If you want to see an in-depth comparison between these two marketing software platforms then take a look at my GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels article here.

Who Is GrooveFunnels For?

GrooveFunnels has such a long list of features that will appeal to almost any type of online business.

While the software suite can certainly be used by pretty much any business that has a presence online, the main target audience of this product are:

  • E-commerce Stores
  • Agencies
  • Marketers
  • Affiliates
  • Service businesses
  • Info-product vendors
  • Brick and mortar businesses

If you’re looking to increase your sales, stay connected with your customers, scale your business revenue, and be part of a like-minded community, then this platform might be a good fit for you.

Who Created GrooveFunnels?

Founding members

The four founding members of this platform are:

  • Mike Filsaime (CEO & Co-founder)
  • John Cornetta (President)
  • Mattijs Naus (CTO)
  • Matt Serralta (COO)

Mike Filsaime

Mike Filsaime has worked on some very successful projects like WebinarJam, EverWebinar, and Kartra and is the CEO of GrooveDigital.

John Cornetta

John Cornetta has run several successful e-commerce stores that do over $300,000 per month. He also works on a lot of the educational material which we’ll talk about later on in this review.

Mattjis Naus

Mattjis Naus is a world-class software developer and the main person behind the technical parts of this company.

Matt Seralta

Matt Seralta is the Architect behind GrooveKart which is an E-commerce platform included with GrooveFunnels. I’ll go into more detail on this later on as well.

What Do You Get With GrooveFunnels?

With GrooveFunnels, you get more features currently than with any other funnel builder on the market.

Here’s what’s included:

  • GroovePages
  • GrooveSell
  • GrooveMember
  • GrooveAffiliate
  • GrooveMail
  • GrooveBlog
  • GrooveQuiz
  • GrooveKart
  • GrooveVideo
  • GrooveWebinars
  • GrooveDesk
  • GrooveCalendar
  • GrooveSurvey
  • GroovePages – For Shopify
  • GrooveFunnels Support & Training
  • GrooveFunnels Community

GrooveFunnels Features

As you can see from the above list, GrooveFunnels completely raises the standard in terms of features offered.

Before we take a closer look at the features, I would like to point out that not all of the features are currently available. Some are due to go live later on in 2020.

The apps that are still to roll out are as follows:

  • GrooveWebinars
  • GrooveBlog
  • GrooveCalendar
  • GrooveDesk
  • GrooveQuiz
  • GrooveSurvey

Everything else is already available inside of the platform now.

When I first heard that there are still a few features that are not yet live, and looking at the impressive list of features that they already have, I did have concerns if these additional apps would actually go live at all.

However, considering the people who are behind the software, I do have confidence that they will live up to their promises, and will actually be able to deliver. Afterall, these guys have proven track records for creating successful software products, and, of course, their reputations are also on the line!

Mike Filsaime was behind Kartra, WebinarJam, and EverWebinar which are also great platforms that have brought people a lot of success in their businesses.

Anyways, let’s now take a closer look at each of the features.

GroovePages

GroovePages Templates

The first core feature is GroovePages, which is the page builder application.

When you first get inside GroovePages, one of the first things you will notice is that it comes with a variety of good-looking templates that you can use.

After a little play around, I was pleased to see that you can easily customize these templates through your drag and drop editor.

GroovePages and Page Load Speed

Something I particularly like about landing pages built with Groove is that they actually load pretty quickly. This is because they are uploaded to the web as an HTML file.

For this reason, the pages you create will load faster than if you were using other platforms like Kartra or ClickFunnels.

This feature alone can actually make a big difference for your business for two reasons.

Firstly, if your pages load fast then your potential customers will not get frustrated waiting for your pages to render and decide to leave your site.

Secondly, earlier in 2020, Google made page load speed a core part of their algorithm. This meant that slow-loading pages actually started to see a demotion in organic search rankings.

Since sites built with GroovePages can rank in Google, you will stand a much better chance of reaching the top of the search results.

Impressively, you can use GroovePages to create a fully functional website complete with checkout options, or just a simple squeeze page.

If you are on the paid plan, you can create unlimited pages and sell unlimited products, while the free plan has a limit of 3 for each.

That being said, you can still connect custom domains, even on the free plan which is pretty nice too.

This feature combined with GrooveSell also lets you create:

  • One-click Order bumps
  • One-click Upsells
  • One-click Downsells
a GroovePages website

Features like these help you increase your conversions significantly, as they make it much easier for your customer to purchase additional products.

If you think about why big companies like Amazon are so successful, it’s because they make everything as convenient as possible for their customers.

Using the one-click order bumps upsells and downsells you can do something similar to help you generate even more sales.

With beautiful templates, fast loading pages, and an easy to use editor, GroovePages gives you pretty much everything you need to maximize your conversions.

Plus, the fact that this feature is available for free is pretty crazy when you consider the pricing of other tools.

I would say that GroovePages alone is quite comparable to Unbounce, which starts at $80 per month.

Fun fact: You can connect more custom domains with the free version of GroovePages, than the $80 per month plan of Unbounce.

GrooveSell

The GrooveSell Dashboard

GrooveSell is another big feature that this platform has to offer. It’s a sales and affiliate platform that you can use to process payments and create checkouts.

As I mentioned in the GroovePage description, these features go hand in hand. One lets you build your pages, the other lets you sell your products.

GrooveSell also has very nice analytics which shows you the following:

  • Profit
  • Net profit
  • Revenue
  • Initial Sales
  • Rebills
  • Commissions (If affiliate)
  • Projected Sales
  • And more

Just like GroovePages, this feature is also available in the free plan. However, this may change in the future which is why you’re probably best to sign up for GrooveFunnels now if you are thinking to do so.

Besides the analytics, you can also connect a variety of 3rd party payment processors like Stripe or Paypal without any additional fees.

Alternatively, you can also use their payment processor, GroovePay which stands as its own entity and isn’t a part of GrooveFunnels. However, they work well with each other, as both are created by the same company.

GrooveMember

GrooveMember is another great feature that this software has to offer, as it lets you build your membership site.

Like the other features, inside of Groove, it doesn’t disappoint.

It’s pretty much like any other membership site builder, such as Thinkific and Kajabi.

GrooveMember has:

  • Different levels of access for your members
  • Drip-feed content options
  • Ability to create free and paid courses

Just like everything else inside of this software, GrooveMember is constantly evolving. It is also set to have certification options available, once it is fully developed. Still, even now it can compete with other membership site platforms.

And, if you for some reason, you don’t want to use GrooveMember, it will also natively integrate with all the most popular membership site platforms on the market.

GrooveAffiliate

Similar to the ClickBank marketplace, GrooveAffiliate is a marketplace that all the Groove users will have access to. It is known as the GrooveMarket.

With this also comes the affiliate management, so you can use it to recruit affiliates, track their stats, and even pay them directly from the same dashboard as all your other apps.

Again, it’s pretty nice having your affiliate management platform, in the same dashboard as everything else. It makes managing your business convenient and allows you to run everything smoothly using just one piece of software.

GrooveMail

If you run any type of online business, you’ll know how important email marketing is.

GrooveMail removes any need for an external autoresponder and helps you follow up with your list to make more sales.

How good is it?

At the moment, the Groove email feature is still in beta, but the folks behind this software solution are aiming for it to be on par with other well-known services such as ActiveCampaign and the GetResponse autoresponder.

Until that time though, we will have to wait and see.

Once it fully rolls out, it is supposed to have comprehensive automation features, tagging, email templates, and even SMS gateway functionality.

You’ll be able to use an extensive number of triggers, or “conditional splits” as they are called inside of GrooveMail. And, there are also several tagging options available.

As of right now, the full list of triggers is not yet available, but they will be in the coming months, which I am looking forward to seeing.

There are basic triggers that you can use already such as:

  • If lead is subscribed
  • If lead is not subscribed
  • If lead has tag
  • If lead doesn’t have tag

But, GrooveFunnels say there will be many more triggers coming to allow for advanced automation sequences.

However, GrooveMail is one of the latest additions to the platform. It only just launched in September 2020, so it still has a little way to go in its development.

GrooveBlog

GrooveBlog is the blogging platform that will allow you to run a responsive blog that will also be Google-friendly.

It’s probably going to be fairly basic in comparison to WordPress, but if you only need a simple blogging platform then it might be all you need.

If you need something more advanced, or if you already have an active blog set up on WordPress then GrooveFunnels will also integrate directly with this popular content management system.

That aside, GrooveBlog is there if you want to run a blog from within your Groove dashboard and you don’t need all the bells and whistles that WordPress provides.

For example, if you have an agency or coaching website, you might decide that a blog should be part of your strategy.

This is where you can use this feature to start a blog. The pages created with GrooveBlog will be SEO-friendly, fast-loading, and fully customizable.

Even though it won’t have anywhere near as many plugin options that WordPress does, Mike Filsaime has announced that there will be a plugin store like the one WordPress has where 3rd party developers can upload their plugins.

This, therefore, may also provide a unique opportunity for developers to create and sell plugins on the Groove platform and earn additional revenue. However, I am just speculating about that.

That being said, it will take years of development to reach the level of WordPress. It’s a nice feature that most other funnel builders don’t have, nonetheless.

GrooveQuiz

The next feature is GrooveQuiz, which as the name suggests lets you quiz your audience.

Quizzes are a great way for you to engage your audience and lead them through a sales process.

The ability to use quizzes will also help you to gather valuable information about your customers to help you serve them better, and ultimately for you to make more money.

GrooveKart

GrooveKart is a stand alone E-commerce platform that is comparable with Shopify. The main difference is that it has the most popular Shopify apps included… for free.

If you’re a Shopify user then you will know that this can save you hundreds of dollars on additional apps that you will no longer need to pay for.

Although on the official GrooveKart website, the use of this platform starts at $99 per month or $497 per year, you can actually get free access to it with the paid membership of GrooveFunnels.

If you are into E-commerce, this is an absolute steal when you consider the pricing of some of their competitors like Shopify.

It also has a range of unique options for Print-on-demand and shipping that would normally cost additional fees with any other platform.

If you want to see GrooveKart in action then check out the video below.

GrooveVideo

Most online businesses nowadays will need to use videos. Whether it’s a video sales letter on your landing page, or you need to create lots of videos for a paid membership area, ordinarily, video hosting costs can soon add up.

One alternative is to host your videos for free on YouTube. However, the problem with this is, if a site visitor clicks one of your videos then they will leave your landing page and be taken to YouTube.

If this happens then you’ve potentially lost the sale.

GIF by South Park - Find & Share on GIPHY

This is why a lot of marketers pay for a video hosting service like Wistia. However, this can set you back an additional $99 per month.

However, GrooveVideo lets you host all your videos inside your account, for free.

It’s another feature that will save you thousands of dollars in annual fees.

GrooveWebinars

GrooveWebinars is the webinar feature of the all-in-one tool.

The Groove team have aimed to make GrooveWebinars on par with both WebinarJam (live webinar software) and Everwebinar (pre-recorded webinar app).

Given that Mike Filsaime was also a founding member of the two webinar platforms named above, I think we can also expect this feature to be pretty damn good.

GrooveDesk

Another feature I particularly like is GrooveDesk, which is Groove’s support desk app.

Good customer support is critical to an online business, especially if your business model involves selling your own products.

If you need to use a support desk then GrooveDesk will save you hundreds of dollars on a 3rd party support app like ZenDesk.

Since GrooveDesk is located in the same place as GrooveSell, you can directly, and easily manage sales actions like refunds, from the same dashboard which is always nice.

GrooveCalendar

GrooveCalendar is a calendar app that is similar to Calendly.

This app lets you book appointments with your clients, collect payments (through GrooveSell), and manage all your meetings in one place.

Again, having this feature inside of the whole Groove eco-system is also cool as it eliminates the need to use dozens of different software applications.

GrooveSurvey

This feature allows you to send surveys to your audience and collect valuable data from them.

Running surveys will help you get a deeper understanding of the problems our audience is facing, what exactly they are looking for, and even what they think of your business!

You can then tailor your products to solve these problems and increase your conversions.

You’ll be able to run surveys as separate pages which you can send via email, or combine with anything you build in Groove.

GroovePages For Shopify

Something that I find quite cool is that you can also integrate GroovePages with Shopify using a separate app.

This could be useful if you already have a successful E-commerce store on Shopify and don’t want to move it.

When you buy GrooveFunnels, you get access to this app for free, in case you have a store that you don’t want to move to GrooveKart.

GrooveFunnels Support and GrooveAcademy

GrooveFunnels also comes with fantastic support and the GrooveAcademy.

In terms of support, it has:

  • Live Chat Support
  • Email Support
  • Ticketing Support
  • 193+ articles

The only thing that might be missing is phone support, but other than that it has everything.

Besides the help and support that GrooveFunnels offer, you also get access to a considerable amount of training material from Mike Filsaime and John Cornetta themselves.

The cool thing about this is that they don’t only teach you how to use Groove. These expert and highly seasoned marketers also teach you how to get traffic and improve your conversions.

This is pretty awesome, as it’s something that a lot of people struggle with, especially beginners.

So, with Groove, you aren’t just getting an all-in-one funnel builder and business marketing tool. You also get free access to courses and knowledge that is worth thousands.

GrooveFunnels also hold regular webinars to help you get the most out of the platform.

GrooveCommunity

Last but not least, one of my favorite things about Groove is the community behind it.

The Facebook group has over 100,000 active members which also include Groove developers, Mike Filsaime, John Cornetta, and the other founding members as well.

This is great because you will be able to tap into a large group of like-minded people who can help and support you on your journey if you need it.

If you have questions about the platform, you can ask people in the group and they will be happy to help you out. You can also ask for tips on funnel building and marketing if you are looking for extra insight.

GrooveFunnels Pricing

GrooveFunnels have 4 pricing plans.

As I mentioned earlier, GrooveFunnels are one of the only funnel builders to offer a free plan.

Here is the pricing for each plan:

  • Groove Base – Free
  • Groove Silver – $99 per month
  • Groove Gold – $199 per month
  • Groove Platinum $299 per month

Below is a screenshot of the 4 pricing plans, and what you get with each.

The GrooveFunnels pricing list

From the pricing table above, you will see that you get 20% recurring commissions if you are promoting GrooveFunnels as an affiliate and you are on either the Base, Silver or Gold plan.

If you are on the platinum plan you will get 40% recurring commission as well as an additional 10% tier 2 commission.

GrooveFunnels Lifetime Deal

Depending on when you are seeing this review, there might still be time for you to get the GrooveFunnels lifetime deal.

GrooveFunnels Alternatives

After reading this GrooveFunnels review, you might have found that GrooveFunnels is or isn’t for you. Either way, I would like to show you 3 alternatives that may be better for you.

ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels is probably the most popular alternative. It has over 120,000 customers who love its ease of use, its features, and its vibrant community.

The features don’t quite stack up like GrooveFunnels’ do, but they do have:

  • Funnel/Page building features
  • Membership sites
  • Email automation
  • Affiliate management
  • Extensive marketing training

These are the core features, but it also has a lot of education material and a big community behind it. If you’re looking for a more finished product, instead of one which is still being developed, ClickFunnels could be a good choice for you.

You can try ClickFunnels free for 14 days here.

Kartra

Probably the closest comparable product to GrooveFunnels on the market, Kartra is another all-in-one marketing platform. It promises to have all the SaaS tools you need in one convenient place.

Mike Filsaime was also a founder of this software product but left it to create GrooveFunnels.

Just like ClickFunnels, it’s a bit more of a finished product, meaning you won’t be waiting for any features.

That being said, it doesn’t quite have as many features as GrooveFunnels will have, once it’s fully developed.

Some people say they prefer Kartra, others say that GrooveFunnels is an improved version of it.

If you can’t make up your mind between these two then I recommend you also read my in-depth GrooveFunnels versus Kartra article here.

Something cool about Kartra though, is that every pricing plan has all features available (apart from the Agency feature), so you can enjoy all of them, no matter which pricing plan you’re on.

The main differences between Kartra and GrooveFunnels as of right now are:

  • Kartra has better marketing automation (as of right now)
  • All Kartra’s features are fully developed
  • GrooveFunnels has faster-loading pages
  • GrooveFunnels has more features

If you would like to try it out, you can get a 14-day Kartra trial for $1.

SamCart

The final alternative you may also prefer is SamCart.

SamCart is a lot more focused on checkouts as the name may suggest. It has a page builder too, but it doesn’t have all the other features that GrooveFunnels has.

Although it does win in terms of analytics and, of course, the shopping cart features, it does lack in a lot of other areas when compared to Groove.

We took an in-depth look at this platform recently so if you would like more info about it then you can check out our SamCart review here.

Alternatively, if you want to take it for a test spin, you can get a SamCart free trial here.

Final Thoughts

As necessary as they are nowadays for online businesses, SaaS tools can get pretty expensive.

As we saw in the comparison earlier, you could burn through thousands of dollars per year. With GrooveFunnels, you get access to pretty much everything you need to build a profitable online business for much less than it would usually cost.

However, bear in mind that GrooveFunnels is still in beta, and some of the features are still yet to be made available.

Personally, I do think it is worth investing in GrooveFunnels, but I would recommend you try the free version first to see if you like it.

If you then decide that GrooveFunnels is right for you, then I highly recommend trying to upgrade to the lifetime deal as this will save you thousands of dollars over the months and years to come.

If you would like to check out Groove for yourself, you can click here to join the free version. If you would like to upgrade, you can once you are inside.

GetResponse Review – Is This Autoresponder Worth It?

my GetResponse review image with logo and envelopes

GetResponse is one of the most popular pieces of email marketing software out there.

It goes without saying, there’s quite a bit of hype about it.

I personally also use to use GetResponse several years ago. I didn’t have a problem with it, but I moved away as I needed a more cost-effective solution at the time.

Interestingly, GetResponse have not only added more features to their service, they’ve also re-adjusted their pricing, and it is now far more competitive that it was when I use to use it.

This got me curious…

How can they ADD more tools, and reduce the entry price?

If you have some experience working online yourself as an affiliate, you’ll know that it can be quite hard to find the right autoresponder.

While some have powerful features but aren’t affiliate marketing-friendly, others just don’t perform well.

It can be quite a task to find an autoresponder that can provide everything you need, be easy to use, AND have great deliverability rates.

As you’ll see later in this GetResponse review though, it is by no means a platform only for affiliates. In fact, most GetResponse users are regular business owners. They just also happen to be affiliate-marketing friendly.

GetResponse Review Summary: GetResponse has evolved over the years and has now become much more than an autoresponder. It also offers a CRM, landing pages, and other marketing automation features like their conversion funnel feature. All of these features combine extremely well to help you build high-converting funnels and improve your online presence. Overall, GetResponse is a solid marketing tool.
The GetResponse logo

GetResponse: Pros and Cons

GetResponse Pros:

  • Powerful marketing automation
  • Exclusive features like the conversion funnel can’t be found anywhere else
  • Great support available in several languages
  • Incredibly easy to use – especially the visual automation builder
  • Long list of automation triggers
  • Affiliate-friendly
  • Free resources to help you get started
  • Comprehensive reporting
  • 30 Day Trial (No credit card required)
  • Good deliverability in most tests

GetResponse Cons:

  • Limit of 300 attendees on Webinars (1000 on custom/enterprise pricing)
  • Phone support only available on “Max” plan

What’s Unique About GetResponse?

GetResponse promises to be an all-in-one marketing solution for all kinds of businesses, large and small.

Compared to another market leader Mailchimp, it claims to have more advanced marketing automation features, as well as fairer pricing and more flexibility.

Interestingly, GetResponse has avoided being pigeonholed as “just another autoresponder”, by providing additional features like their conversion funnels and hosted webinars, which I will go into more detail on later in this article.

It can help you to do a lot more than just build an email list.

From my own experience using GetResponse, I also found it very easy to use, which is a big plus in my book.

Who Is GetResponse Best For?

GetResponse serves businesses in a huge number of categories. However, it seems that a lot of people from the following industries are drawn to GetResponse:

  • Agencies
  • Affiliate marketers
  • Ecommerce businesses
  • Content creators
  • Info-product sellers
  • Service-based businesses

The reason it works so well for all of these businesses is that it allows them to stay connected with their customers. All industries benefit from staying connected with people who have previously purchased from them, as it helps them generate repeat sales.

GetResponse helps its users do this with its advanced automation and CRM features.

Plus, nowadays, GetResponse also helps its customers much more with front-end tasks like collecting emails, for example, through their landing page feature.

To add the icing on the cake, it’s also very affordable and has great deliverability rates.

Who Is GetResponse Not For?

GetResponse can be used for a huge variety of online businesses. It would be quite hard to pick a type of business where GetResponse wouldn’t be a good fit, in my opinion.

What I will say is that, if you’re just looking to send broadcast emails, then there are probably more cost-effective solutions out there, like Aweber.

While you can send broadcast emails with GetResponse, I feel like paying for all the other features it has (even on the lowest plan) is not your best option, if you’re purely looking for the newsletter function only.

How Does GetResponse Compare To The Competition?

GetResponse vs ActiveCampaign
GetResponse vs Aweber
GetResponse vs ConvertKit
GetResponse vs Send In Blue
SendLane vs GetResponse

Ease of Use

GetResponse didn’t used to be as user-friendly as it is now.

They had a huge update to their user interface a few years ago, and since then the user dashboard has become much more easy to navigate.

The intuitive functioning that GetResponse provides means that you will be able to save time on tasks, and actually enjoy the process of working with the dashboard.

This is one thing I particularly like about GetResponse.

If you have a VA working for you and you want them to manage the email marketing side of your business, you should be able to train them pretty quickly on the tasks you need them to do.

“As an online entrepreneur, anything that will save use time always gets extra plus points!”

Creating Webforms & Landing Pages:

Creating web forms and landing pages with GetResponse is very easy and there isn’t really a learning curve at all.

It’s actually pretty self-explanatory and my cat could probably do it. Well, that’s just silly, but you get what I mean. It’s dead easy.

Digital GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY

The forms and landing pages can easily be edited with the drag and drop editor, meaning you can simply select the elements and change them to how you want them to look.

If there is one thing that could be a little easier it’s editing forms and landing pages in the mobile view.

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but when I edit the pages for mobiles, I find it a little harder to edit.

Adding Contacts

Adding contacts on GetResponse is also as easy as it gets.

You can add them manually by adding in the fields like name, email, etc. or you can simply upload a .csv file to bulk upload your contacts.

And of course, you can also collect emails using forms or landing pages which then automatically get added to the list you select.

Creating Automated Campaigns

Creating automation workflows with GetResponse is also easy, probably the easiest from all autoresponders I have used so far.

You select the trigger and drag the next steps into the campaign. There are even some templates available, so if those suit the goals of your campaign, you can use those too.

I find it quite fun and easy to build these from scratch as this way I have more control over my campaigns.

List Segmentation

List segmentation is something that I also love about GetResponse.

Not only are the segmentation features extremely advanced, but they are also very easy to use.

You shouldn’t run into any trouble with list segmentation, as the features are quite easy to understand.

GetResponse Features & Benefits

GetResponse was originally just an autoresponder when it first launched in the very early 2000s.

Today, it’s more of an all-in-one marketing suite for businesses of all sizes.

They cover such a huge list of features that help marketers and entrepreneurs with various marketing tasks that are needed in most businesses.

Autoresponders

The first and probably one of the most basic features of GetResponse is the autoresponder.

It’s a basic autoresponder that lets you send emails on days of your choice after the lead has joined your email list.

Make sure that you are not confusing this feature with automation workflows though.

The autoresponder is the function that lets you send certain emails on days that you choose after the lead has joined your list. Automation workflows, on the other hand, let you segment your list based on the actions of your subscribers, but we’ll talk more about that in a moment.

GetResponse has both of these features anyway.

All you need to do is select an email template, write up the email, and choose the day on which you want the email sent. The process is quick and easy.

Marketing Automation

The second feature inside of GetResponse is a big one, marketing automation, and includes the following important features.

Automation Workflows

Let’s start with the email automation sequences or workflows.

GetResponse comes with a visual automation builder and a huge selection of triggers as we have discussed earlier.

You can build custom automation workflows that put your leads through sequences with custom emails.

There aren’t any limits on what types of sequences you can build and I have not found any type of trigger that is missing.

To give you an idea of some of the triggers, here are just some that you will find in GetResponse:

  • If visited page you configure using pixel
  • Purchased
  • If abandoned cart
  • If contact was added to pipeline
  • If link clicked, message opened, etc

There are many more as well, I just wanted to give you an idea of some of the triggers that you will find inside of GetResponse.

GetResponse automation

CRM Automation

The automation workflows also combine well with the CRM, as using them together you can see exactly how close you are to converting your leads.

Using this tool inside of GetResponse you can also have a clear overview of your contacts and sales in your pipeline.

Of course, not everyone will need a tool like this, but it’s still nice to have the option available to you in case you ever need it.

It’s also nice that you won’t need an external piece of software, as you can manage your sales processes straight from your GetResponse dashboard.

You can also add notes to each lead which is pretty cool, as it can remind you of any special requirements for each lead.

And, you can also sort the importance or activate triggers based on the deal value which could be useful, as it allows you to only focus on the deals that matter the most.

Recap of GetResponse Marketing Automation

Overall, GetResponse has some pretty good marketing automation features.

Here’s a quick recap of what GetResponse marketing automation has to offer:

  • Advanced, yet easy to use automation workflows
  • Advanced Triggers
  • CRM with easy to use sales pipelines and automated tasks

GetResponse Email Templates

As you would probably expect from an autoresponder with the caliber of GetResponse, you also get some sweet email templates too.

GetResponse comes with a huge selection of templates, and by huge I mean… over 500 email templates. That’s the most I’ve ever come across in an autoresponder service.

The templates also have a nice variety and range, from templates tailored towards cooking, to B2B templates.

“The template selection does not disappoint, to say the least.”

Having said this, I often avoid using colorful templates with complex structures. These can sometimes have heavy picture HTML code which can cause the email to get syphoned into the promotions folder.

Of course, that is not always the case, but it is worth noting if you are going to use templates.

This is the case for all autoresponders by the way, not just GetResponse.

Analytics

GetResponse has comprehensive analytics, not just for the broadcasts, but also for pretty much any feature you can think of.

They also have this cool feature which allows you to track the ROI of an email.

I like this feature because it just saves so much time when counting the numbers of your email marketing campaigns.

Another thing that I like about the analytics of GetResponse is that the data it displays is very visual which makes it much easier to gain a clear overview of how your emails are performing.

Again, overall GetResponse performs quite strongly in this aspect as it gives you a lot of data in a clear overview.

Split-Testing

When using GetResponse, you can split-test almost any component of your campaign. Thi is a very important feature if you want to improve your open and conversion rates.

For example, this includes your landing page, your subject lines, and the content of your emails. You can configure an automatic winner based on percentages to help you save time.

For example, you can split-test an email with 3 variants and configure an automatic winner based on the number of your contacts who have opened the email. You can also set up custom percentages to pick winners.

This is extremely useful to help you pick a clear winner. Doing so will help you tweak to make you email campaign convert at its best.

Landing Page Creator

The landing page creator inside of GetResponse is quite slick too.

It comes with over 150 landing page templates that can easily be edited through the drag and drop builder.

The builder itself also has a lot of elements allowing users to build many types of pages.

Some examples of elements include:

  • Videos/Images
  • Carts
  • Paypal buy buttons
  • Share buttons
  • Custom HTML

I was also really surprised to see that the GetResponse page builder also allows you to use important conversion tools such as countdown timers and even one-click-upsell pages!

Usually, a person would need to also invest in a third party page builder like ClickFunnels or SamCart to get these types of features.

Having said that, I haven’t tested the conversion capabilities of a GetResponse landing page compared to one of these third party services, but it’d be a great test to find out how it performs!

With engaging templates, an easy to use drag & drop builder, and a great selection of templates, I think it’s fair to say that GetResponse has a solid page builder.

You can see more info about the GetResponse landing page creator here.

Webinar Hosting

GetResponse also lets you host both free and paid webinars.

As I did mention in the cons section at the start of this review, there is a limit of 300 webinar viewers, unless you are on the max plan, which is the plan with custom pricing.

On the max plan, this limit is between 500 and 1000 viewers.

Either way, it’s likely that even 300 viewers will be enough for most small businesses.

What I like about GetResponse webinars is that they also have built-in polls and tests which make it easy for your webinars to get a little more engagement.

You can also promote your products or services and add files to the webinars for your attendees to interact with. This would be useful if you are selling your higher-ticket products on the back end of the webinar.

Another thing that’s cool about the GetResponse webinars is that you can set it to stream on YouTube or Facebook as well which will help you expand your reach.

There is also a range of other cool webinar features including:

  • Screen sharing
  • Interactive white-boards
  • Storage up to 20 hours
  • Multiple presenters
  • Add Facebook pixels for retargeting
  • Automated nurturing campaigns

The GetResponse webinar feature offers everything a normal webinar software would do too.

Having this available on the same dashboard as your email marketing and CRM tools is pretty nice, and gives you an easy way to integrate your webinars with your autoresponder.

GetResponse hosted webinars

Conversion Funnel

Finally, we’re onto probably my favorite feature inside of GetResponse, the conversion funnel feature.

This feature was also formerly known as the “auto funnel” feature. This GetResponse feature is a template to help you build your entire marketing funnel.

Basically, it takes all of the other GetResponse features, and structures them in a way that makes it easy for you to get a clear overview of what you need to.

Not only that, but you can also track the ROI of your funnel which is also very important. Afterall, if you don’t have clarity on what’s working for you in your business then it can be hard to scale.

This has been one of my favorite new features, as it can help you to have both a clear overview of how you need to have things structured and a deeper insight into what’s working the best for you.

Funnel builders can be expensive, so having this feature built into your autoresponder is a huge bonus, in my opinion.

If you want to compare the GetResponse conversion funnel with other builders in the marketplace then you can take a look at my comparison article of the best sales funnel builders here.

GetResponse Deliverability

When I used GetResponse, I found their deliverability to be very good. In fact, it has one of the better deliverability rates among all the autoresponders I have tried so far.

Of course, deliverability is important for all types of businesses, and should be one of the main concerns when choosing an autoresponder.

When it comes to affiliate-friendly autoresponders though, sometimes their deliverability rates can suffer just because some of your emails contain affiliate links. However, in my experience, this didn’t seem to be the case with GetResponse.

According to SenderScore.org, GetResponse has a 99% deliverability rate across all tests. You can find more information on that here.

However, I did also find another 3rd party test by emailtoolstester.com (1) where GetResponse only performed around the average with a 75.6% rate, which is about an industry average.

Given my personal experiences with GetResponse, and this other test by emailtooltester.com, I’m not sure how accurate the SenderScore.org test is, but I thought I would mention it just to give you a full picture.

Plus, if you follow the best practices for getting your emails delivered you shouldn’t run into any issues.

Web Forms

Just like most pieces of email marketing software, you can also create web forms directly in your GetResponse dashboard.

If you use WordPress, then you’ll be happy to know that these forms are also very easy to integrate with this content management system. However, you can also just as easily grab the HTML code of the forms to embed them into any page you wish.

The forms are nice and easy to create using the drag and drop editor as we did mention earlier. Other than that, there isn’t too much to say about them, as they are quite standard for autoresponders.

Segmentation

GetResponse lets you segment your list in numerous ways to help you send more targeted emails.

This includes:

  • Custom fields (i.e basically anything that you configure)
  • Behavior (in automation sequences)
  • Demographics
  • Product preferences
  • Engagement
  • Geography
  • Website Activity
  • Purchase frequency

By segmenting based on these factors, you can send much more targeted emails to your customers.

For example, if it’s thanksgiving, you can send everyone from the US, who visited your thank you page but didn’t purchase, an email with a discount offer.

That’s just an example, but there are some really creative ways you can use the segmentation feature that GetResponse has to offer.

If you were to think about how you could use this feature in your own business, I’m sure you, like me, can easily see how you could leverage this feature to send more targeted offers to your list and increase your revenue.

Tags & Custom Fields

Tags also help you segment your list. You can apply them at the start of a campaign, or further down the line. They’re a great way to split your list based on whether the customer has a certain tag.

For example, you can apply a tag named “purchased X product” to every customer who has purchased from you.

Then, later on, you can send everyone who doesn’t have that tag an offer with a bonus without annoying the people who have already purchased this particular product from you.

This is a basic example of this feature, and GetResponse lets you tag on many more events including abandoned carts.

Of course, it goes without saying that using tags in this way is another great way to increase your revenue by getting some of your customers to return to their shopping cart and complete a purchase.

Custom fields are what you use when you need your customer to submit custom requirements on their orders. For example, if you are selling T-shirts using GetResponse, you might need your customer to submit their T-shirt size which they can do with this feature.

Integrations

GetResponse also has a pretty big list of integrations.

This list includes over 140 external software apps including the most popular E-commerce platforms, landing page builders, membership area platforms, and so forth.

If an app that you want to integrate with is not on the list then GetResponse also integrates with Zapier. Once you’ve connected to Zapier, you can pretty much connect to anything you want to.

For advertising, you can also hook up your GetResponse account with Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Besides YouTube, it also directly integrates with Vimeo and Wistia, too. This can be useful if you want to assign tags based on video watch time, and see clearly exactly how much of a particular video your leads have watched.

For example, you can set these tags on a sales video and find out exactly how much of the video gets watched. If you discover that a lot of people seem to switch off at a certain point, then you know you need to make a change to that video to improve the watch time, and ultimately, the conversion of that particular video.

GDPR

If your business operates out of the EU, or if you serve EU customers, then you’ll be pleased to hear that GetResponse is also committed to having a GDPR-compliant platform. They do this by providing you with special fields that help their users stay compliant.

If you want to know more about GetResponse and GDPR, you can check this resource on their site here.

Support

GetResponse support is quick and easy from my experience. Even though they don’t offer phone support unless you are on the max plan, they do have a very responsive team on the other end of live chat 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Personally, whenever I needed to reach out to their support team, I never needed to wait more than a minute or two for someone to jump on and help me out.

While having the option of phone support is nice, it’s not a big deal not to have it in my opinion if they have 24/7 live chat support in place.

Basically, whatever plan you’re on, you do always have access to help, and you can get it quickly if you need it.

What Other Users Say About GetResponse

It’s all very well reading my opinion here in this GetResponse review, but I’m sure you, like me, also want to hear about what other people have to say as well.

From what I have seen, they are mostly positive overall, with an average Capterra (a review site) rating of 4.1/5. Some of the 1-star reviews seem quite questionable in my opinion, as many of the users state themselves that their actions went against the T&C’s.

Other than that, there are mostly just 5-star reviews of users explaining what’s great about the software.

Besides reading customer reviews, you also get the additional safety net of the GetResponse 30 day free trial without needing to enter your credit card details if you do decide to try them out for yourself.

What I Like About GetResponse

What I like about GetResponse is that it offers an all-in-one marketing platform for businesses of all sizes.

It’s not the cheapest autoresponder you can find, but it’s also by no means the most expensive. It’s actually very affordable, especially considering all the features they offer.

GetResponse also has a solid deliverability rate, so you know that the majority of your emails will actually end up where they’re supposed to.

I also really like the fact that GetResponse is affiliate-friendly. There are not many autoresponders that are high caliber, that provide such great features, are affordable, and also allow you to place affiliate links directly in your emails.

What I Don’t Like About GetResponse

There isn’t a lot to complain about GetResponse, in my opinion. Overall, it does what it does extremely well.

The two cons that I mentioned at the beginning of the article (300 webinar attendees & no phone support on the lower plans) are not things that matter to me.

Other than that, the only thing that I would say is the editing of landing pages in mobile view. I feel like it could just be a little easier to use, but then again, maybe that’s just me.

GetResponse Pricing

The GetResponse pricing mainly varies based on the number of contacts that you have.

It’s a sliding scale, so for the full pricing details based on your number of subs, you can check out their website here.

Below, are the plans for up to 1,000 subscribers, if you pay monthly.

On the [official website], you will also find annual discounts for up to 30% if you don’t mind paying up front.

Personally, I’d use them for a few months first on the monthly plan, then, if you’re happy to stay with them, opt to pay for the year up front and get the additional discount.

Basic, $15 per month

Included in the basic plan are the following features:

The GetResponse pricing table

GetResponse Alternatives

To give you a better choice, I also want to cover a few GetResponse alternatives that might be better for you.

Aweber

First of all, you might also choose Aweber which is another popular autoresponder, but compared to GetResponse, it’s quite basic.

It has basic automation workflows, basic landing pages, forms, and segmentation.

Aweber is also affiliate marketing-friendly and they even have a free plan.

If you’re on a budget or are just looking for basic email automation features, it may be an option to consider.

I’ve used Aweber before and have been very happy with them. They’re cheaper than GetResponse and they also have excellent support.

You can check out Aweber’s pricing here.

SendLane

SendLane is another affiliate-friendly autoresponder.

It’s quite similar to GetResponse as it offers features like ROI and conversion tracking.

The pricing plans start at $99 per month (5K contacts), so it’s a bit more expensive than Get Response. Having said that, they do have an attractively priced starter plan for new customers.

That being said, the cost of the plans are pretty reasonable considering the value they offer.

If you want to know more about this platform then you can read my in-depth review of SendLane here.

Alternatively, you can check out SendLane’s page here.

MailerLite

Lastly, we have MailerLite which is NOT affiliate marketing-friendly, so make sure to keep that in mind if affiliate is a core part of your business.

MailerLite probably has the best free plan on the market, as even the free plan comes with automation sequences. That’s pretty rare.

It doesn’t have quite as advanced features as GetResponse or SendLane, but it does have the basics.

I think MailerLite could be a good option if you perhaps have an eCom business, promoting affiliate offers is not a core part of what you do, and if you don’t need the advanced features that GetResponse and SendLane offer.

You can check out MailerLite’s pricing here.

If you still want to check out more email marketing solutions then I recommend you read my article on the best email autoresponder services next.

Final Thoughts

Finding an autoresponder that is powerful, low-cost, and has a good deliverability rate can be quite hard. Depending on the complexity of your business, there can be a ton of things to consider.

This is especially the case if you’re in the affiliate marketing business as you also need to make sure that the platform you choose will not shut you down for including affiliate offers in some of your emails.

The problem is that if you don’t have an autoresponder that fits the bill, your business will probably not reach its full potential as email marketing is so important.

GetResponse doesn’t only fit the bill for most businesses, it also does what it does extremely well. It has arguably the most powerful automation features on the market, strong deliverability, and also comes at an affordable price.

I must admit I’m a big fan of it and so are 350,000 other customers. If you would like to check it out for yourself, you can get a 30-day free trial here.

CartFlows Review – Is This Funnel Builder Plugin For WordPress Any Good?

My CartFlows WordPress plugin review

There’s no doubt about it, online businesses need an optimized sales funnel if they are going to survive and thrive in today’s markets.

Businesses are literally losing money every day without one.

However, there’s so much choice when it comes to choosing a funnel builder.

Since most of them have a few unique features and are better suited to certain types of businesses, it can be difficult to know which one is best for you.

Here I break down the features of this new WordPress funnel builder and explain exactly what you get when you buy CartFlows.

In this article, I will also tell you who this WordPress funnel builder plugin is good for and who might be better off using an alternative.

If you’re in a hurry and you want to get straight to it then you can check out the CartFlows cost and features here.

What Is CartFlows?

CartFlows is basically a sales funnel plugin for WordPress.

This continually evolving plugin allows you to create optimized funnels to increase your conversions and make more money in your business.

It was created by hardcore WordPress users, Adam Preiser (WP Crafter) and Surjay Pawer (Brainstorm Force), out of frustration at the limitations of the sales and checkout process of WooCommerce.

By using this new funnel builder plugin, website owners can now create effective funnels with up-sell, down-sell, and OTO pages and take complete control of the look and functioning of the whole checkout process.

With over 10,000 active CartFlows users, this funnel builder plugin is quickly growing in popularity.

What Kind Of Funnels Can You Build With The CartFlows Plugin?

CartFlows is a dynamic plugin and you can use it to create just about any type of funnel you want. However, for some funnels, you will also need to use additional 3rd party plugins.

It is, of course, a good benefit that CartFlows can integrate with other WordPress plugins. However, for me, the fact that you have to use additional plugins to build some types (not all) of funnels is a negative, in my opinion.

Personally, I would prefer all the core functionality to be under one roof since you will not need to take the extra time to learn how to use new plugins as well as going through the learning curve with CartFlows.

Having said that, the plugin is still relatively new. Adam and Surjay are planning to record more “how-to” videos over time, so this should largely solve the issue.

Here’s a list of some of the more popular funnels people are building with this plugin:

  • Lead funnels
  • Product launch funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Free quote funnels
  • Consulting funnels
  • Webinar funnels
  • Demo funnels
  • Application funnels

This is, by no means an exhaustive list. As I said earlier, you can pretty much build any type of funnel using this plugin.

CartFlows Plugin Features – What You Can Do With This Funnel Builder

Having looked at CartFlows, it is actually a decent competitor to leading funnel builder brands like ClickFunnels and InfusionSoft.

I particularly like that there is a free version of the plugin, however, it does, of course, have limited functionality.

On the other hand, with the pro version, you get a whole range of features.

Here are the main features that you can use:

Use Customizable Templates

There are customizable templates available with both the free and Pro version. However, at the moment they are fairly limited.

You get access to 4 free templates straight out of the box. However, there are also an additional 6 premium templates if the free ones don’t quite do it for you.

Although this may seem very limited in comparison to an alternative funnel builder like ClickFunnels, you can do a lot with these templates since they are fully customizable.

Upsell and Downsell Pages

Using an upsell and a down-sell in your funnel sequence can greatly increase the amount of money you can earn from each customer.

I particularly like the free templates feature as this is a big time-saver when it comes to building your funnel.

You can simply select a template, insert it into the correct place in your funnel, and then customize it how you want.

With CartFlows Pro, all the pages are fully customizable.

Use Order Bumps

Another great feature of any funnel builder worth its salt is the ability to use order bumps on your checkout pages.

Order bumps are great as they can significantly increase the cart value of your customers.

You can use this to give your customers the option to buy an additional related product at a discount, provide the option to buy additional units of a product, offer a warranty, and so forth.

Customizable Checkout

If you’ve been using WooCommerce then I’m sure you’ve also felt frustrated at the lack of customization you get on the checkout page.

Fortunately, CartFlows allows you to customize all the checkout fields and take full control of the sales process.

Abandon Cart Feature

This Pro feature is essential whenever you’re selling something online.

On average, around 65% of people abandon an online shopping cart before they pay for the goods. This is a huge waste!

With CartFlows Pro, once they’ve passed the step of entering their email address, if they do abandon the cart then the plugin will follow up with them periodically on your behalf and encourage them to complete their purchase.

Can Use With Popular Page Builders

If you’re using a WordPress page builder like Elementor, Divi, or Thrive Architect then CartFlows will work for you without a hitch.

The plan is to eventually make it compatible with all WordPress page builders. While it does now work with most of them, I’m not sure if it functions with all of them.

If you want to find out if it will work with your specific page builder then you can contact CartFlows support here.

Use Custom Scripts

If you want to get more functionality then you can use the custom script option.

By simply pasting in your custom code you can get CartFlows to do a whole range of extra things for you.

Who Is CartFlows Great For?

If you’re a WordPress user then CartFlows is a good option for you since it will integrate nicely with the rest of your business.

Being a WordPress user will mean that you will likely find CartFlows very easy to use.

It’s also great for people who are on a budget as they can start off on the free plan.

However, having said that, the Pro account is also very reasonably priced compared to its competitors.

So, if you have a WordPress website and you want to collect more leads, sell digital or physical products, promote a webinar, sell a course, sell services or even just provide free quotes to your website visitors then CartFlows Pro will be a great option for you.

Who Is CartFlows Not Good For?

If you do not use WordPress and you have no intention of building a WordPress website then CartFlows is not for you.

However, don’t worry, there are many other solutions on the market that may fit your needs perfectly.

In this case, I would recommend you to check out ClickFunnels, Kartra, and SamCart.

CartFlows – What I Like About It

Integrates With WordPress

It integrates directly with WordPress and is, therefore, a great solution for anyone who has built their business around a WordPress website.

Since around 35% of websites are now built on WordPress, this is a great advantage for those businesses. However, not so much for businesses that operate from different platforms.

Integrates With All WordPress Plugins

Another advantage over some of the competitors like ClickFunnels or Kartra, for example, is that it integrates with other WordPress plugins.

This dynamic feature allows you to expand the functionality of CartFlows.

Integrates With WooCommerce

It also integrates directly with the popular WooCommerce plugin for WordPress.

So, if you’re running an eCommerce store on WordPress and you need a funnel then CartFlows is also a great choice for you.

Supports Upsells, Downsells

If you are using the CartFlows Pro plan then you will also be able to build funnels with upsells and down-sells.

This feature can increase your revenue considerably as it gives your customers the chance to buy more from you in a single transaction.

However, bear in mind that this feature is only available on the Pro account.

Integrates With Facebook Tracking Pixel

Retargeting is a highly effective online marketing strategy. Fortunately, the plugin also allows you to integrate with the Facebook tracking pixel for retargeting.

Abandoned Cart Feature

Another feature that will help you to increase your revenue is the abandoned cart feature.

Shockingly, the average cart abandonment rate is 67.57%. That’s a lot of money left on the table!

The abandoned cart feature works by following up with your customers through email who choose to abandon their cart before they make their purchase.

This is an important feature for any business that is selling physical, digital, or service-based products online.

Easy To Use

If you’re familiar with WordPress at all then you’ll likely find CartFlows easy to use.

They also have a good amount of set-up and training videos to show you how to get set up.

CartFlows – What I Don’t Like

Of course, like any platform, there are always some downsides too. Here’s what I don’t like so much about CartFlows.

Membership Areas Need An Additional WordPress Plugin Or External Solution

If you want to build a members area for your business then you will need to use a separate WordPress plugin or an external solution like Teachable or Kajabi.

Fortunately, it is more than possible to use CartFlows to create a membership funnel with one of these options, but for me, this is a minus point.

The reason I see this as a negative is that:

  1. You need to pay for an additional software solution
  2. You may also need to go through another learning curve with the software solution you choose

While other CartFlows alternatives like ClickFunnels and Kartra may be more expensive, they also provide you with the member’s area feature already included.

Another option for WordPress users would be to use ThriveApprentice, which is a plugin that comes with a ThriveThemes subscription.

ThriveThemes is priced within the same ballpark as CartFlows and also provides additional premium plugins with your membership, including their membership area solution, ThriveApprentice.

Cannot Share Funnels With Other Users

Being able to clone a funnel and share it with another user is a big advantage in my opinion.

Not only does it speed up the entire funnel building process, but you can also create funnels for your clients within your account then transfer them upon sale.

So far, the only platforms I have come across that offer this option is ClickFunnels and Kartra.

However, if you don’t need this function in your business then it is not a problem for you.

CartFlows Cost

There are two different plans to choose from, the free plan and CartFlows Pro. Here are the details of the two plans.

CartFlows Free

CartFlows offers free as well as a paid plan.

Of course, on the free plan, you will be limited in what you can do with it. However, there is actually a decent amount of functionality in this plan.

Here’s what you get access to on the free plan:

  • Access to 4 funnel page templates
  • Access to checkout pages
  • Access to thank you pages

So, if you only need a simple funnel then the free plan might work for you.

Offering the free plan is a smart move since it allows you to check out the features it offers and see for yourself just how easy it is to use.

Once you see what it can do for you then you may be tempted to upgrade to Pro so you can earn even more money from your site visitors.

CartFlows Pro

The CartFlows Pro plan is very competitively priced at $299 per year.

On the CartFlows Pro plan, you get access to all the bells and whistles.

Here’s what you can do with the Pro plan:

  • Access to premium level templates
  • Use an unlimited number of funnels
  • Use conversion-focused checkout pages
  • Edit your checkout pages
  • Provide visitors with special offers
  • Use order bumps
  • Up-sell and down-sell features
  • Abandoned cart technology
  • Full user support
  • Access to the CartFlows community
  • How-to video guides

Comparing the two plans, you can see that you do, in fact, get a lot for your money when you choose to buy CartFlows Pro.

I particularly like the up-sell, down-sell, and order bump features, as well as the conversion-focused checkout pages as these features, can increase your revenue dramatically.

Being able to edit your checkout pages is also an important feature to have, in my opinion.

CartFlows Pros & Cons

CartFlows Pros

  • Huge range of WP plugins available
  • Integrates with WooCommerce
  • Is affordable
  • Is compatible with WordPress page builders
  • Can build an unlimited number of funnels
  • Also works like a shopping cart solution
  • Has an abandoned cart feature
  • Easy to use

CartFlows Cons

  • Membership funnels need an additional WP plugin
  • No A/B split testing (at present)
  • Lack of instruction videos

CartFlows FAQ’s

Who Is Behind CartFlows?

CartFlows was founded by Adam Preiser of WP Crafter and co-founded by Sujay Pawer of Brainstorm Force. He’s also the guy who created the famous Astra theme for WordPress.

They created it to provide an integrative funnel solution for WordPress users.

Personally, I have been a follower of the WP Crafter YouTube Channel for a few years now since Adam really knows his stuff. For me, this gives CartFlows much more credibility as a good integrative funnel solution for WordPress.

Can I use CartFlows With Shopify?

As far as I am aware, it does not integrate with other platforms like Shopify, only WordPress, and WooCommerce.

Which Payment Gateways Are Compatible With CartFlows?

CartFlows can integrate with the most popular payment gateways including PayPal, Stripe, Square, Amazon Pay, Auth.net, and any other payment gateway that is compatible with WooCommerce.

CartFlows – Parting Shot

If you’re a WordPress user in need of a sales funnel then CartFlows is definitely a good choice for you.

This new funnel builder plugin for WordPress very affordable and will enable you to build pretty much any kind of funnel you might need.

CartFlows comes with a few customizable templates you can use to speed up the build process.

The plugin is easy to use, however, if you’re not that familiar with WordPress then you may have a bit of a learning curve ahead of you. That being said, knowing how to create high converting funnels is a very important skill, so it is worth taking a bit of time to get this skill down.

If you’re not quite sure yet if CartFlows is for you then you can also take it for a test drive with the free plugin.

Funnel Scripts Review – Write Great Copy In Half The Time

my Funnel Scripts Review

Are you struggling to write great copy to sell your products?

Perhaps you’ve been blowing a brain cell trying to think of what to write in your email sequences that will captivate your audience?

You may have been spending a ton of money on ads only to avail in a measly amount of clicks?

Or maybe you’re trying to promote affiliate offers but people just aren’t clicking your links?

There’s no denying it, good copywriting skills is an essential part of building a successful online business.

Without it, you’ll likely make next to no money and eventually quit.

However, when you get it right then just a few small tweaks can make a huge difference.

For example, as a blogger, I was amazed the first time I made a tiny tweak to a headline based on psychological copywriting principles and saw the impact it had on both clicks and sales.

If you’ve been trying to learn copywriting yourself then you’ll already realize it’s difficult and it takes a long time to master.

The common alternative is to pay a professional copywriter to write your copy for you. If you can afford it, that is; they’re pretty expensive.

However, professional copywriter Jim Edwards and his marketing buddy, Russell Brunson have created another alternative that they say is much quicker and more cost-effective.

It’s a push-button software program that can write your sales copy for you. They call it Funnel Scripts.

Since I recently purchased this product, today, I am going to be diving deep into exactly what it can do and whether or not you really need it for your business.

So, here in my Funnel Scripts review 2020 I will give you the lowdown on the complete software, including the free headline generator you can use to test it out before you buy.

Funnel Scripts Review: What Does It Do?

Funnel Scripts has been developed to give everyone the ability to quickly create professional-level sales copy without having to pay expensive copywriters to do it for you.

It works by using templates based on some of the best performing copywriting scripts in history and structuring them around the content you input that is specific to your market, audience and the products or services you are promoting.

Jim Edwards, the creator of Funnel Scripts, has included templates to enable you to create sales copy for a large number of reasons including, ad copy, landing pages, video, and written sales letters, headlines, email sequences, webinars and more.

Basically, you spend a few minutes inputting some data about your audience, product, the benefits and so forth, then press a button. Funnel Scripts will then generate multiple variations that you can choose from.

Who Is Funnel Scripts For?

Most businesses need to use some kind of sales copy. If you’re trying to sell your own products, promote offers as an affiliate, collect leads, you need to write ads or you need to email your subscribers then you will need to have some kind of copy.

As a blogger, I also realized that I can benefit a lot by improving the headlines of my posts.

Copywriting is a hard to learn skill and does not come naturally to most people. However, if you already have this skill then it’s probably not necessary for you to buy Funnel Scripts unless you just want a faster way of doing it.

If copywriting is something that gives you a headache, it’s a task that takes you hours without really knowing how effective it’s going to be or if you outsource it but pay a hefty price for it then Funnel Scripts will be a big benefit to you.

What I Like About Funnel Scripts

When you first buy Funnel Scripts and get inside the member’s area you will notice there is a huge amount of stuff in there for you to dive into.

There are several features I really like, but some of my favorites are the following:

A large number of scripts available

Funnel Scripts is not just a headline generator; it’s not only used for writing ad copy; it can be used for much more than just creating your email sequences.

It is a very powerful program which, gives you the ability to create copy for any kind of purpose you could imagine.

Good quality copy produced

When I first heard about Funnel Scripts, I must admit I was a little skeptical as to how good the copy it produces might be.

Many years ago I purchased a headline and sales page generator, but it was mediocre at best. However, that was around 2007 and fortunately, software has come a very long way since then.

I was more than pleasantly surprised to see that the quality of the copy produced by Funnel Scripts not only reads well, but it also keeps to the structure of professionally written copy that creates engagement.

You can create copy very quickly

There are no two ways about it, Funnel Scripts is fast.

Compared to writing copy yourself or even outsourcing it to a professional and waiting for your copy to come back, Funnel Scripts can bash out your copy in minutes.

When you use one of the script generators, it will ask you to fill in some boxes with data about your product and target audience. Depending on the script you’re using this can take around 10-20 minutes.

Then, all you do is hit the build button and wham! Your copy is generated.

The copywriting script generators will produce a few different variations for you to choose from, all of which are fully editable by you if you need to.

Copywriting training included if you want to learn this skill yourself

If you’re using Funnel Scripts then you don’t need to learn copywriting yourself.

However, knowing a bit about the formulas of creating great copy and how it leads your audience to take the action you desire will help you to get even better results with the copy you generate.

I have always been interested in copywriting and the psychology behind it.

While I do now use Funnel Scripts myself, I am still interested in and fully intend to learn more about it to improve my skills in this area.

So I was pleased to see a number of training videos that are also in the member’s area if you do have the inclination to learn more about writing great copy.

Monthly copywriting webinars

Creator, Jim Edwards, is really passionate and proactive about Funnel Scripts.

Since copywriting is a skill that is close to his heart and he wants his members to get the most out of using his product, he holds monthly training webinars that you can sign up for for free.

You can also watch the latest webinar replay in the member’s area if you can’t make it live.

monthly Funnel Script training webinars

Pimp My Funnel

If you want expert help with your sales copy, from Jim Edwards himself then you can apply to be featured in an episode of Funnel Scripts Tips, which are Jim’s copywriting tips webinars.

Since there’s so many users of the software it’s not guaranteed that you will get chosen. However, you can keep applying if you want to get his help directly. If you are chosen then it can make a huge difference to your business.

Extra bonuses

When you buy Funnel Scripts you will also notice you get 4 extra bonuses in the member’s area. These bonuses are:

Bonus #1 – Inception Secrets

He shows you how to be able to sell anything to anyone and make it seem like it’s their idea to buy from you. It will teach you how to plant the seeds of desire inside a person’s head so they will naturally want to buy your stuff.

Bonus #2 – 5 Fast Funnels

What I Don’t Like About Funnel Scripts

The navigation is a bit crowded

Since there’s so much inside the Funnel Scripts members area it can take you a while to get to grips with it.

Some of the features are hidden within other tabs, which can take you some time to find where everything is when you first use it.

It’s quite expensive

The sale price of $797 might be quite steep for a lot of small businesses and solopreneurs to shell out at one time.

However, if creating effective sales copy is a big part of your business then it will save you a lot of money over time not having to pay a professional copywriter, whose fees are usually very high.

Available Scripts

In this section, I’ll share with you all the different kinds of scripts you can create and show you screenshots of each section so you’ll know exactly what’s in there.

Not only are there quite a few different categories of scripts you can generate, but each category also has several different types of scripts. This is good so you can drill down to create exactly the right kind of script you need for the right channel you are promoting through.

Funnel Scripts Pricing

Funnel Scripts used to be a yearly subscription at $497 per year.

However, in 2019 the Funnel Scripts pricing changed to $797 for lifetime access.

While this is a fairly high price to pay initially, if you will need to write good sales copy in your business on an ongoing basis then this is a better deal than the original price of Funnel Scripts.

Basically, you need to consider how important it is to you and your business to write good copy before you buy Funnel Scripts.

For example, if you need to regularly write emails to your list, headlines for your blog posts, ads, and landing pages or if you’re regularly creating ads and need them to always perform well then it may be worth it to you to invest in the Funnel Scripts lifetime deal.

Whether you should buy Funnel Scripts or not will depend on several factors. You need to weigh up the following:

  • How often you will need to create copy
  • How much money would it cost you to outsource it to a professional copywriter
  • How much time would it cost you if you decide to learn copywriting yourself
  • How much might it cost you in both time and money to do it yourself through trial and error

Funnel Scripts Free Trial

When people hear about this software they often ask, is there a Funnel scripts free trial?

The answer is, Yes.

However, while there are a large number of scripts you can create with Funnel Scripts to make copy for all kinds of reasons, there is only the Funnel Scripts free headline generator that can be used on the free trial.

If, while you’re reading this Funnel Scripts review, you’re interested in taking this sales copy generator for a test-drive then you can try the Funnel Scripts headline generator for free here.

Funnel Scripts Webinar

Jim Edwards and Funnel Scripts co-founder, Russell Brunson created an hour-long copywriting webinar that teaches some important fundamentals of copywriting that marketers and entrepreneurs need to understand.

While, of course, this webinar does also promote the Funnel Scripts product, they show you everything the software can do, what you get when you invest and how to get all your copy from sales letters, webinar scripts, ads, and even email sequences written in under 10 minutes.

If you’re not interested to buy Funnel Scripts but you do want to learn more about copywriting then I still recommend you watch this webinar.

You can watch the Funnel Scripts webinar here.

Where Can You Buy Funnel Scripts?

The owners of Funnel Scripts would prefer you to first watch their free Funnel Scripts webinar and then move through their sales funnel. This way they can hook you in and sell you more stuff.

However, if you just want to buy Funnel Scripts without having to go through the sales funnel then here’s the back door where you can buy Funnel Scripts directly.

Final Thoughts

When you buy Funnel Scripts you certainly get a lot for your money.

Russell and Jim have included scripts for all kinds of copy you might need to create.

While the initial price tag of $797 can be expensive for a lot of entrepreneurs, if you’re going to be using it regularly then, in my opinion, it is worth the investment as it can save you both time and money moving forward.

So now, the question is, do you and your business need it..? Only you can answer that question.

If you’ve not already tried the free headline generator, why not try it out to see what it can do.

If you want to have a more detailed look at the product that goes beyond this Funnel Scripts review, and see it live in action then I highly recommend you join the free copywriting webinar with Jim and Russell.
